Story Start!

"What are you making?"

"I'm making a sling."

"But nobody has a broken arm."

"Are... you're completely serious about that." Naruto deadpanned to himself as he continued making a weapon to help him make up for his reduced strength. He needed something that he could easily travel with, didn't need to be maintained that much, and he already had practice with. His previous world yo-yo training was among the weird things that he knew how to use as a weapon, and thanks to the fact that this body had about the same arm length as his old body, the adjustments he would need to make to his throw would be minimul.

They rode in the back of the carraige with the seduced human driving them, since they were going to be passing through two cities with check points. They would just hid in empty barrels in the back when the time came.

"I mean... whats a sling?" Koinu asked as she draped herself across his lap, getting in the way as he was testing the strength of his sling.

He looked at her for a second in thought.

"... I guess learning how to use a sling would be a good experience for you. Next time we see a deer or something, I'll show you how to use this." Naruto stated with a smile, since this was one of the few times that she was showing an interest in something not related to sex. It was a nice change of pace that he wanted to encourage.

Ari on the other hand only had a passing interest in that.

"... You're making a slingshot... what are you going to do, pester the deer with rocks... slingshots are about as deadly... what are you doing?" Ari asked as Naruto reached out of the carraige with his tail, before he used it to knock a stone off of the ground and into his hand. He put it in the middle of his sling, before he hung out of the carriage.

He started to spin it.

It gained some real speed to it as it spiralled all around him, and he looked around for any nearby animal that he could make into a target.

"This isn't a slingshot, it's harder to use, but this thing can pack even more of a punch than a gun can. Swords and arrows are nice, but sometimes you don't have access to metal to make those... so make yourself a sling, pick up a rock, and-" Naruto saw his target when a bear walked out of the woods nearby.

He loosed his bullet.

It flew fast enough that Ari didn't actually see it, before it smacked the bear dead center in the back of the head. The bear took a few wobbled steps forward as blood started to pool up in the whites of it's eyes. The bear was visibly bleeding from it's eyes and nose from the blow to the back of the head, before it collapsed onto the ground.

"What the... fuck..."

"THAT IS COOL!" Koinu shouted as she hung half of her body out of the back of the carraige, she grabbed another stone from the road they were moving on, and pushed it into Naruto's hands. "Kill... kill that bird next!" Koinu pointed to a large bird of prey in the sky, hopping up and down in excitement.

Naruto passed it to her.

"You try first... just steady your arm, spin it... and then when you've build up speed and momentum, let it loose towards the target... make sure not to aim it at something you don't want to kill." Naurto moved so that he was behind her, and helped her load up the sling with a rock. He even helped her get her form started.

She started to spin it, and when she released it, the rock went soaring straight to the ground, where it shattered a slightly bigger rock that it hit. Naruto caught a shard of the rock that, and he took the sling back.

"You do it."

She actually wanted to learn this.

"You've got to focus on what you want to hit, and release the rock... when you've build up the right amount of force... and then..." Naruto let loose another bullet towards the bird in the sky.

Ari watched more closely.

Her eyes widened when the bird's head exploded.

"What... the... fuck?"

"A sling is a reliable weapon, a good shot with a sling can take the top of a person's head clean off. Even decent shots can break bones, sever spines, pierce the body, and penetrate organs. Smooth, rounded rocks won't always penetrate, but honestly killing with a sharp rock is more merciful... that bear learned that." Naruto showed a sharp and jagged rock, and a smooth rock. He looked up the smooth rock, before he took aim at the forest.

He built up a ton of momenutum.

"There!"

Koinu pointed to the first animal to leave the forest, a large 4 legged creature Naruto could not name, but looked similar to a boar. The boar-like animal's skull caved in when the rock hit it square in the middle of the forehead, and it just collapsed to the ground mid run. He already had the jagged rock loaded up, and when the next of the same creature came out to look at it's dead pack member, it suffered a different fate. A rock pierced it's side and punctured it's heart, it started to run around in a panic, before it started to slow down.

Two animals dead using nothing more than rocks and 'string' as some would say.

"That... what the fuck... why are humans even using bows and arrows if they can use rocks like this?" Ari could dodge arrows in the sky easily, she could hear them coming and they were just slow enough when aimed at the sky that she could not worry about them so much. If people started to sling rocks at her in the future, and hit her wings, she would come falling out of the sky.

"Not just humans... any creature that has a straight spine, long back legs, and has human joints in their arms, can do the same thing... though there will be a learning curve... want me to teach you about how to use a sling, maybe I can even show you how to custom make some super scary sling bullets?" Naruto asked Koinu, and she looked at him with sparkling eyes at the super cool weapon that he showed her.

Her tail was wagging in excitement.

Naruto tore a piece of wood off of the carraige, before he grabbed an arrowhead off of an arrow that was just sitting in a quiver. He attached the arrowhead to the wood fragment, and started to shave off excess wood. It wasn't going to be perfect, but it would be amusing for Koinu to watch as he made it. It didn't need to be pretty either as long as it was effective in what it was being made for.

"A dart... now I KNOW you're not being serious."

"This isn't a dart like you know, it's a Plumbata. At this distance, you throw it underhanded like this, and let gravity do most of the work... but good aim is important... finally a deer." Naruto moved his entire body forward, and used body momentum to toss the dart high into the air in an arch.

The deer just collapsed.

The dart hit it dead center in the skull, piercing it's brain as another dead animals was left in the tracks of their travels. He made another plumbata, and he passed it to Koinu, before he pointed towards a tree in the distance.

"... That isn't an animal..."

"Try and hit the tree, it's harder than it looks... when we get where we're going, if you promise to be a good girl for me, I'll make you your own sling... and we can go practice with it." Naruto promised her.

An accident.

The second she let go of the dart, she accidentally released it backwards. Naruto looked down at his foot, which got nailed to the wood of the carraige. Ari covered her mouth in shock, and he took a moment to look down at his foot. Koinu looked towards the tree in the distance, waiting for the dart to come out of the air and hit it. Naruto took the dart out of his foot and gave it to her, before he pointed at the tree.

Don't show weakness in front of children if you could help it.

"Okay..."

She turned around and he grabbed his foot in agony, jumping in place on one foot. He didn't bleed for long, the wound wasn't too serious for a guy who could fly. He was going to learn some damn healing magic when they got to the witches, because he was sure that teaching Koinu how to choose violence over sex was going to end up with him getting more injuries from accidents like this.

"You're teaching a child violence..."

"I'm teaching her how to hunt and defend herself, what the hell is wrong with a little violence... and she's interested... weapons are super cool. Also, she might get interested in some other stuff."

"Okay... and is your foot going to be okay... how did you not explode with anger there?" Ari asked as she looked at the bloody foot, and she winced. She would have screamed her head off if something stabbed a hole in her foot like that. "It's one thing if it happens during kinky sex... but yikes that looked like it hurt. How are you feeling?" Ari whispered that as Koinu tried to mimic Naruto's earlier throwing form.

She didn't throw the dart, but she kept practicing her form.

"Like I want to punch something."

"Ah, then you're okay."

If he was able to think about punching, then he was well enough.
