A/N: Thanks for all the love, reviews and follows! I truly appreciate it.

Steve and Natasha sat quietly as they flew back to the Compound. They shared looks as they looked back at the young teenager who was in the back. JT, who didn't say much after her announcement and followed the two Avengers onto the Quinjet back at Stark Towers.

"Maybe you should talk to her?" Steve whispered to Natasha who had her feet up on the dashboard.

"You're the speech guy," Natasha said and leaned back into her chair.

"She's a young girl," Steve pushed.

"So was Wanda," Natasha added.

"Clint talked to her, come on Nat, we need to make sure that she is …" Steve trailed off.

"You don't trust her do you?" Natasha asked as she put the pieces together.

"I trust her, but with everything that happened over the last few years it just feels 'convenient' that this is happening now after you came back," Steve said.

Natasha could tell he was fishing and she wasn't going to take the bait. She clicked her seatbelt open and got up from her seat. She slowly walked to the back and sat across from JT who was staring at the ceiling.

"So the end of the world?" Natasha asked.

JT's head snapped to Natasha and she swallowed inward. JT leaned back and rubbed her hands on her pants. Natasha picked up on the nervous habit and mentally checked it in her mind.

"Yeah," JT said.

Natasha could tell that this conversation was going to be like pulling teeth. The girl didn't seem like she would give information voluntarily but Natasha would get it out of her.

"How old are you?" Natasha asked.

"15," JT said.

"Where are you from?" Natasha asked.

"New York," JT said and Natasha was beginning to get slightly frustrated.

This teen had been trained in interrogation, and Natasha knew it by the way she answered questions. Voluntary information was definitely going to be going through hoops.

"How do you know about the end of the world?" Natasha pushed.

"My parents," JT said.

"How do they know?" Natasha asked.

"They died," JT said and Natasha narrowed her eyes.

Natasha knew JT was telling the truth and wanted to offer some condolences but something about her was off.

"Sorry," Natasha said.

"Thanks," JT responded.

The two stared at one another, and Natasha watched JT mimic her. Natasha couldn't place her finger on it but something about JT was familiar. Natasha wondered who this teen girl was and why she was so difficult to place.

"Blink," JT said and Natasha blinked.

Natasha shook her head and JT laughed at the redhead.

"You lose," JT said triumphantly and that is when it clicked for Natasha.

JT reminded her of Yelena, and everything else fell into place. Natasha knew exactly where this girl was from … the Red Room. Natasha couldn't believe she didn't put it together sooner, the tactics, the clothes, the mannerism. This girl acted like her little sister, but she also had the habits of a trained assassin. Natasha went for her Glock when JT flipped out blades between her fingers.

"Why are you here?" Natasha asked.

"I told you end of the world stuff," JT said not phased by Natasha or her gun.

"Rogers we have a situation," Natasha said and Quinjet slowed its pace.

Steve walked to the back to see the two ready to attack one another. He readies his shield and walked between the two.

"JT lower your weapon," Steve warned.

"One she whipped out her gun first, two I feel threatened, three I haven't lied about anything, it's not my fault this one is wound up tighter than an alarm clock," JT said and raised an eyebrow.

"Nat," Steve pleaded.

"She's from the Red Room," Natasha said and JT visibly flinched.

"No I am not," JT said and lowered her knives.

"You have all the ear markings of a candidate, down to the gear," Natasha said as she lowered her gun.

"I told you to talk to her, not to do this," Steve gritted.

"I am not from the Red Room Captain Rogers," JT said and Natasha saw a flash of vulnerability.

"Nat," Steve warned.

"She's lying about something, I know it," Natasha said wanting to give Steve more but kept Yelena to herself.

She wasn't ready to share that part with him yet. Natasha watched Steve lower his shield and sit next to Natasha. Natasha watched him place the shield on the floor and give JT a megawatt smile. Natasha knew he was going to use his persuasive words to get more out of the teen than she could. She was fine with that and got up to her feet. However, her body reacted differently and she swayed as vertigo kicked in. JT and Steve jumped to their feet and steady Natasha. Natasha was surprised when she saw the panic in JT's eyes as the teen grabbed the redhead's wrist. Natasha snatched her arm back from JT and stalked off to the front of the Quinjet.

"Are you from the … Red Room?" Steve asked.

JT threw herself back onto the bench and tilted her head in disbelief.

"No, I am not, but what does it matter. You don't believe me anyway," JT said bluntly.

"With everything that has happened in the last few months, we are just taking precautions," Steve offered and sat down.

"You mean half the world snapping back into place? Yeah, I know," JT said and ran a hand through her hair.

"You know … the Captain Rogers I hear about all the time, is this great leader, but you seem average," JT said.

"I don't see myself as a great leader, but I do see myself as a great man, I have a good heart and I protect those I care about. Who in your life talks about me?" Steve said.

"My parents," JT said simply.

"And where are they?" Steve asked.

"Buried," JT snapped.

"I'm sorry about that, I know a bit about loss myself," Steve offered.

"Hmm is this where the great speech skills come in? I always wondered what that would be like?" JT said.

"Really? Why?" Steve asked.

JT froze and then laughed coyly.

"I learned a lot about you, Captain Rogers, and I always thought it would be interesting to just see it in real life, not that great. I mean considering you're manipulating our conversation in hopes that I lower whatever guard I have up to give you more information about myself than you need. However, I was taught better than that. Look, what I told Strange, is the truth. You thought that Thanos was this big threat, he isn't, something bigger is coming, something you guys need me for," JT said.

"Which I am more than willing to accept if you just told us more about yourself," Steve said.

"Captain Rogers, what you need to know, is what I tell you when I am ready," JT said.

Steve sighed and leaned back.

"Okay, but then I want you to know something," Steve said.

"Okay," JT said.

"You do anything, and I mean anything to harm my team in any way, I will take you down," Steve threatened.

"Guess you have a dark side, but here's a little secret you don't know. I already knew that too," JT said with a smirk.

Steve picked up his shield and got up from his seat. JT watched him move to the front next to Natasha and smiled. Steve sighed as he got in his seat as Natasha gave him a knowing look.

"She's suspicious, you're right," Steve said as Natasha smiled.

"Thank you, now what do we do?" Natasha whispered.

"We take her to the compound, we put her under surveillance and we get what we need," Steve said.

"Is that safe?" Natasha asked.

"Yes, while she may be manipulative and have a slight upper hand, we do have a team with special abilities," Steve said.

Natasha groaned as her stomach turned and she could feel her breakfast making its way back up. She didn't want to but she turned to the side and vomited into a small waste bin.

"Whoa, Nat are you okay?" Steve asked as he rubbed her back.

"Yeah I guess I ate too much," Natasha said and wiped her mouth.

Before Steve could ask more questions an incoming call came in and Steve answered it. Fury's face appeared and he looked exhausted but Steve knew better than to ask.

"Got the package?" Fury asked.

"You mean the surly teenager, yeah she's a peach," Natasha said.

"Whatever she is, she has intel that checks out," Fury said.

"What is this new big bad thing Fury?" Natasha asked.

"That surly thing knows it, so get to the compound and find out," Fury said.

"You couldn't do this at SHIELD?" Steve asked.

"One of the conditions of getting this information was that she gets to interact with the team. I am pretty sure you guys can handle a teenager," Fury said with a chuckle.

"Yeah because that's not suspicious whatsoever," Natasha said with a look.

"I expect a report by the end of the day, don't disappoint me," Fury said and ended the call.

"The team?" Natasha questioned.

"Nat don't worry, I won't let anything happen to the team … or you," Steve whispered and grabbed her hand.

Natasha looked at Steve, and the two stared at one another when they heard a loud cough. Natasha pulled her hand away and tried to ignore her heart racing. Instead, Natasha turned around and looked at JT who had a raised eyebrow and an amused look. Steve glanced over to Natasha who turned back around and sighed. He had more to say but instead just kept it inside and noticed they had reached the compound. He started to land the Quinjet and they could hear JT humming happily. As they reached their altitude Steve turned the Quinjet off and got out from his seat. He pulled out a zip tie and walked over to JT. He wiggled the zip tie and JT looked taken back.

"What's with the restraints?" JT asked.

"Safety precautions," Steve said.

"I thought I was a guest, not a prisoner, besides you all could take little ol me down," JT said with the same smirk she had on.

"JT," Steve said sternly and Natasha watched as something came over JT.

Instead of a rude quip, JT stood to her feet and held her hands out. Steve tightened the zip tie and opened the hatch. As he walked out first he beckoned JT to follow and Natasha walked behind her. Steve could see Sam and Bucky waiting in the doorway with puzzled looks on their faces.

"What's with the kid?" Bucky asked.

"She's the package," Natasha announced.

"Any particular reason she's restrained?" Sam asked.

Steve motioned for them to go into the compound. JT walked in silence but Natasha could see her looking around the compound. Natasha watched her movements, and she could see JT was finding every exit point which put her on edge.

"You're back," Wanda said as she came downstairs.

Natasha watched JT move to stand behind Steve and out of Wanda's view. Something that Natasha knew to bring up to Steve later.

"Yeah, we got the package, and no one got hurt," Natasha said with a grin.

"What is it?" Wanda asked.

"Her," Natasha said and lightly pushed JT into the view of everyone.

JT waved the best she could to everyone when another voice entered the room.

"Steve, you're back," Sharon said as she jogged over to Steve.

Natasha wanted to look at anything but Sharon kissing Steve. She once again found herself looking at JT who had an unreadable look on her face. JT stared at the couple while Natasha could feel the rest of the team on her.

"Can we debrief, so I can be released?" JT interrupted.

"Who's this?" Sharon asked as JT blinked.

"What Fury needed us to get, let's go to the conference room," Steve said.

Steve took the lead with Sharon by his side. JT fell back in step with Natasha who couldn't look at the couple in front of them. Natasha allowed Sam, Bucky, and Wanda to go ahead as JT followed suit.

"Captain Rogers, and Agent Carter, didn't this story already play out?" JT whispered to Natasha who didn't say anything to her.

Natasha slightly cut her eyes at the teen and shoved her slightly harder into the conference room.

"JT you can sit," Steve said but JT opted to walk over to the computer.

"JT," Steve warned but the teen ignored him.

"I'm just going to use this, it would be easier, once I do this," JT said, easily breaking the zip tie and throwing it on the floor.

The team shared a look amongst themselves with shock but Natasha was impressed. To her, she knew it was JT's way of saying if she wanted to cause harm she easily could. Instead, she allowed them to believe she could be contained. Natasha couldn't shake the feeling of the Red Room but watched as JT easily hacked into SHIELD.

"What are you doing?" Sharon questioned.

"Oh pipe it," JT muttered.

"I am here to show you what you're up against," JT said as she typed faster.

Firewalls were coming up to stop her, but she easily bypassed them as they popped up. She furiously typed and the computer stopped fighting her. She was able to click on the screens and found a folder.

"Like I said this is life or death, and this is who you all need to focus on," JT said as she opened the folder.

"Adam? Adam Warlock?" Steve questioned.

Hope you guys like where I am going with this! Also do we trust JT or is Nat right to be suspicious? Tell me your thoughts.
