Chapter 131
The duel continues with Vivian and Reiji facing against Gluttony and Sloth in a Tag Duel. So far Vivian has a Dark Xyz Monster: Death Soul Dragon on the field while Reiji has both Cursed King Siegfried and Oracle King d'Arc on the field. As for Gluttony and Sloth, they have both Number Cards, 35 and 70 on the field.
Sloth says, "I'll show you the pain by summoning my ace this turn! My turn!"
After drawing a card, she says, "I detach one Overlay Unit from Deadly Sin, I can banish one monster that my opponent controls! I choose your Oracle King d'Arc!"
Reiji is surprised as he lost his Fusion Monster, Reisho says, "Great...Brother won't be able to recover its LP using its effect..."
"And I'm not finished yet. I use Magic Card: Spider Breeding! I can make this card as an Overlay unit for my Number 70 Deadly Sin, not only that, it will also gain a Rank. (OVU:1-2, RNK:7-8)
Hana says, "Oh no...the summoning condition is complete..."
"I can Xyz Summon this monster by Overlaying an Xyz Monster who is Dark Attribute, Rank 8 to 10, and has 2 or more Overlay Units! I overlay Numbers 70 Deadly Sin! Xyz Summon! Appear! Numbers 84! Gain from the pain from your enemy! Pain Gainer! (ATK:0/DEF:0 RNK:11 OVU:3)
This time a Green and blue spider monster appears, and Yuni says, "Both Numbers 35 and 84 on the field? This is getting worse..."
"Pain Gainer will gain 200 ATK for all the ranks on our field! With Ravenous Tarantula and Pain Gainer, it gains a total of 21 Ranks! (DEF:0-4200)
"4200 DEF?" Vivian is shocked, still having a Dark aura around her.
"I can also detach one Overlay Unit from my monster, all monsters whose DEF are lower than my monster will be destroyed! Painful Destruction!"
Pain Gainer shoots out the webs at all the monsters on the field, and Vivian manages to grab an Action Card. "I use Action Magic: Mirror Barrier! I negate the destruction of my Death Soul Dragon!"
The barrier forms and Death Soul Dragon is safe, but Dimension Stare Dragon and Cursed King Siegfried are both destroyed.
"Saved by an Action Card, however, Pain Gainer has a similar effect as Ravenous Tarantula! When my opponent uses a Magic or Trap Card, I can inflict 600 damage to you!"
Vivian and Reiji are hit by the claws of the spider as they take damage, but Ravenous Tarantula's ATK also lowers. (VivianReiji:11400-10800)(ATK:6400-5800)
Reiji says, "However, when Cursed King Siegfried is sent to the graveyard, I can regain 1000 LP for each Contract on my field. (VivianReiji:10800-11800)(ATK:5800-6800)
"Not helping, Reiji..." Vivian mutters. "It is a good thing that Pain Gainer is in Defense Mode..."
Sloth says, "I set one card and end my turn."
Reiji says, "My turn." After drawing one card, he looks at the field and thinks, "One has 6800 ATK and one has 4200 DEF...they sure are different from Academia soldiers that we faced. However, I'm not going to lose."
"During my standby phase, I take damage from my Contract from Hellgate." Reiji says as he feels pain from the contract. (VivianReiji:11800-10800)(ATK:6800-5800) "And I can still continue to use the effect, I add one D/D Monster from my deck to my hand."
After adding the card, he yells, "Pendulum Summon! Come forth! Supersight King Zero Maxwell!" (ATK:2800/DEF:2500 LV:7 PS:4)
As a monster with the camera head appears, Gluttony says, "Take damage from the effect of Ravenous Tarantula!" (VivianReiji:10800-10200)(ATK:5800-5200)
Reiji says, "This is nothing, I use D/D Griffon's Pendulum effect! I can give Maxwell 500 ATK for each Contract on my field and my graveyard, however, it will be destroyed. I have one Contract, so Maxwell gains 500 ATK." (ATK:2800-3300)
"But that's not enough to reach either monster..." Yuni mutters.
"I use its effect, when this monster attacks a monster in Defense Position, I can change that monsters' Defense to 0 and give Piercing Damage on it. Eye of Truth!" Reiji says as Pain Gainer's ATK becomes lowered. (DEF:4200-0)
"Oh no..." Sloth gasps.
"Battle! I attack Pain Gainer with Supersight King Zero Maxwell! Flashing Break!" Reiji yells.
"As if you're going to attack me. I use Trap Card: Swift Spider! I can negate the damage and return to the attacker instead! You're going to take 3300 damage instead!"
"What?" Vivian and Reiji are shocked as they are blasted by the attack instead. (VivianReiji:10200-6900)(ATK:5200-1900)
"That's going to be hurt..." Ruri says.
"But at least Number 35's ATK goes down..." Yuto says.
Reiji manages to stand back up and says, "I set one card and end my turn."
Gluttony says, "Now it's my turn." After drawing a card, he says, "Wrath, Lust, Greed, Pride, Envy, Gluttony, and Sloth. Together, we are the seven sins."
"What are you going to talk about?" Vivian asks, not lowering her guard.
"All of the sins are from you humans, and yet we are born from it." Sloth says. "Didn't you guys realize that?"
"It is true...all seven sins are from our hearts...they have defined bad people and their characteristics..." Sarah says.
"As Duel Monsters, even though we are the Number Monsters just like others, yet we have been representing the bad characteristics, and we often being neglected by others." Gluttony says.
Zarnie says, "Duel Monsters have souls, and they also have feelings, this is why the Supreme King was able to take control of my brother's body to destroy the world..."
"I know...since they are labeled as sins, they must have suffered a lot..." Yuni frowns.
"We Duel Monsters are just like you humans, who want to be recognized by others. But yet, all seven of us are treated as bad people while we haven't done anything...After all the pain we suffered, Number 96 gives us a chance to get our sweet revenge. Because of humans, we have existed in this world. Because of you guys, we have to suffer from our own characteristics."
"I see...I can't believe that even the Duel Monster World would be as cold as right now..." Yusho frowns a little.
"And now, I'll show you the pain that we suffered." Gluttony says. "I use Rank Up Magic - Spider's Revenge! I can summon one Xyz Monster whose Rank is 1 or 2 Higher than the monster on the field by using it as an Overlay Unit! I Overlay Number 35 Ravenous Tarantula!"
As the spider monster goes into the portal, he says, "Threads that rule the false heaven! Become a fleeting illusion and guide my disintegrating soul! Xyz Summon! Come forth, Number 77! The Seven Sins!" (ATK:4000/DEF:3000 RNK:12 OVU:3)
A giant white Spider with the Number 77 on one of the legs appears on the field, and the others are gasping at how big the monster is. Yuzu says, "That monster is enormous..."
"It must have gathered a lot of sins inside its body..." Ray mutters.
"And since it has 12 Ranks, Pain Gainer gains more DEF!" Sloth says. (DEF:4200-4600)
"I use its effect! I can detach two of my Overlay Units, and I can banish as many Special Summoned Monsters that my opponent controls as possible! I banish your Dark Soul Dragon and Supersight King Maxwell! Spider Silk Rain!"
The silk rains down on all the monsters as they are destroyed, leaving Vivian and Reiji's field empty. "Not only that, I target Dark Soul Dragon, so it becomes an Overlay Unit for my monster!"
As the Dark Soul Dragon becomes an Overlay Unit, Vivian frowns and says, "This is really bad..."
"And now, I'll give you 4000 damage by attacking you directly! Genocide Spider Silk!"
As Numbers 77 is about to attack Vivian, Reiji quickly pushes Vivian out of the way, but they both get damaged as they roll on the ground. (VivianReiji:6900-2900)
"Vivian!" "Reiji!" Everyone yells as they are concerned for their friends, but luckily, they are still struggling to stand up, and Vivian asks, "Why did you do this...Reiji..."
"You are also a member of Lancers and our comrade, I can't let you get hurt." Reiji says as Vivian feels a little touched.
"How amusing...but yet, I wonder how long will it last for your kind heart. I set one card and end my turn." Gluttony says.
Vivian turns to Reiji and says, "Thank you...Reiji...for trying to protect me from the blast."
"No problem...but we have taken 4000 damage..." Reiji says as he adjusts his glasses. "We don't need to worry about Special Summon any monsters, but then again, in his next turn, he is still capable of doing that effect once again to banish all our monsters..."
"That is something we need to worry about..." Vivian says as she draws a card. "I use Treasure Cards from the Heavens, I send one card to the graveyard to draw two cards."
After drawing a card, she says, "I use Doll Anna's effect, I send all two cards to my graveyard."
After sending two cards to the graveyard, Vivian says, "I Pendulum Summon! Return from my Extra Deck! Dimension Stare Dragon! (ATK:3000/DEF:2500 LV:8)
After the monster appears, she says, "I banish Ghost Force Half Level! I target one monster on my field, and then its Level will become halved!
"As you activated a Magic Card, Pain Gainer's effect activates!" (VivianReiji:2900-2300)
"Reiji, will you trust me?" Vivian asks, and Reiji nods. Vivian says, "I activate another Magic Card from my Graveyard, Splitting the Ghosts! I can banish this card to perform a Dark Split Summon! I Dark Split my now Level 4 Dimension Stare Dragon!"
As the bindings squeeze the dragon, Vivian yells, "Dragon that covers with blood, appear and stain your blood to your enemies! Dark Split Summon! Come forth! Level -4! Blood Stream Dragon." (ATK:3000/ DEF:2500 LV:-4 DPS:7)
"She just summoned two Dragons at one turn..." Sora gasps.
"Now she might be possible to win." Satoshi says.
"I use Blood Stream Dragon's effect! By negating one's Attack, I can double its ATK until the end of the turn. (ATK:3000-6000)
"6000 ATK! It's higher than Seven Sins!" Yuni says.
"Now battle! I attack the Seven Sins with Blood Stream Dragon! Bloody Waterfall!"
As the dragon causes a stream full of blood, it starts to cover everyone with the giant gush.
And I'll cut the chapter here, this is the second part of the duel, and both Number 84 and Number 77 appear on the field, Vivian and Reiji also takes a lot of damage, will they be able to turn the tides? Find out in the next chapter, which will be the conclusion.

Ghost Force Half Level
Normal Magic:
Effect: You can target one monster on your field, its Level becomes halved of its original level. You can banish this card in the graveyard to do the same effect.
Splitting the Ghost
Normal Magic:
Effect: By banishing this card in the graveyard, you can perform a Dark Split Summon.
