"Is it… really over…?" Ruri stuttered.
"It's not…. it can't be." Rin tried to respond with a confident tone but even she was struggling.
The Fusion Dimension was safe from the white expanding destruction within the bubble while the rest of the dimensions begun to be wiped out.
"How…. how do we stop this….?" Yuzu looked up and on the holoscreen she could see Odd-Eyes being fired upon by Leo. He was using his new power to appear in both the Arc Area Project and outside to confront Odd-Eyes.
"Yuzu…"
"Ciel?" Yuzu replied.
"It's too late to stop but… we can reverse it… but we need to be quick….!"
Odd-Eyes
"Leo!"
"I wasn't alive to witness your merge in the original world but now I will and you will be working for me!"
Odd-Eyes couldn't fight back as Leo's strength with the angel's power was slowly overcoming him. In the back of his mind a flashback played.
Original World – A Long Time Ago
The dragons were stood around on a mountain edge, smoke in the far background as the original world burned through the riots of the citizens who were in rage of the killing of King Leo.
Despite it being Ciel who killed him, as the angels and dragons both worked hand in hand before Starving's influence begun to corrupt the dragons, including Odd-Eyes very recently, the citizens had had enough of the magical guardians.
"Do you see now?" Starving said with the dragons in human form which looked like their counterparts in the modern world.
"It's time to tear it down!" Dark Rebellion added.
"They refuse to let us use this new energy… Leo would've let us…. and instead they rebel…" Ancient crushed his fists.
"But now…. this is more than that… I see what a vile cancer the angels have become…. destroying the peace…. making me look like the bad guy…!" Odd-Eyes snapped.
"Stopping us from being who we truly are!" Clear Wing added.
"No! That's who you are! You've continually saw tout aimless destruction over some false belief that we must be destructive…. I will do something much more with that power. A direction!"
"What…. are you talking about….?" Starving questioned.
"The new energy was formed…. when me and Ciel clashed…. and now we both wield it…. I can feel what its power is… to combine all the other energies underneath it…."
"Underneath?" Clear replied as Odd-Eyes snapped his hands forward.
"Brothers… we can become one… something stronger…." Odd-Eyes fixated on his hand said.
"You want us to power you?! Forget that!" Dark hit back.
"No! We will be everything all at once…. don't you see? We can destroy as much as you want… we can kill the angels…we have an aim…! We all get what we want… as a new creature!"
Odd-Eyes held his hand out.
"Do you agree?"
"I'm so impressed." Starving smirked. "But I should be the one in control."
"Not a chance. I have this power… it will be me." Odd-Eyes snapped back. His hands lit up in a red aura and he closed his palm. "I will take direct action!"
The energies of Starving, Ancient, Dark and Clear all begun to flow into Odd-Eyes.
"We will become one!"
Flashback End
"I won't let you take control!" Odd-Eyes yelled.
"I don't want to just control you! I need you at your best! You destroyed the original world along with so many lives…. I'm going to…. assist you along with the way!"
The multicolour's from Leo's hand increased as Odd-Eyes' memories flashed back again and again. The awful moments he had from seeing his brothers becoming more violent, the moment he found out Ciel killed Leo, the rage of seeing the citizens of the world turn against him.
"Stop it!"
Academia
The group could only watch as the graphic on the wall was showing Fusion surrounded by the dimensional bubble and the vast white matter slowly edging its way to the other dimensions.
"We need to get out of here." Reiji said.
"Where on earth do we go?!" Marina yelled.
"The mainland is where the others are… we can use Real Solid Vision to get back." Yuzu said.
The group quickly left as the whiteness consumed the ruins of the Xyz, Ritual and Standard dimensions.
Synchro
"What… what on earth is happening?!"
The refugees of Xyz, Ritual and Standard had all been moved to Synchro which had begun healing with Ruka overseeing the changes with Arcadia now being run by Aki, the duo had however gone to Synchro to fight in the final battle.
Everyone surviving was in the Tops and looked to the sky as they saw the other universes being consumed by the whiteness.
"Is it… too late?!" Shinji yelled as he was on his D-Wheel.
"Rin… Yugo..." Martha in her orphanage from the Commons looked up as the kids were hiding in the house.
Inside Arcadia, the students looked to the sky from their building. Ran, Mercy's friend remained silent as she accepted the inevitable.
People in the dimension begun to run but it was too late as the whiteness entered the Synchro Dimension, it begun to consume the sky.
"Run everyone! Go!" Ushiro ordered as the newly reformed leader of Security was doing anything he could to assist but even he knew deep down it was over.
Fusion Mainland
Kaiba with the Xyz Resistance, Ruka, Aki and Tsukikage had met up with Gongenzaka, Masumi and the rest who had broadcasted Academia's true intentions across the dimension.
"We lost everything…. and now we're losing our actual dimensions…." Shun gritted his teeth as he and the others in the mainland could only watch.
"So we failed…." Masumi dropped to her knees.
"No." Kaiba said.
"What do you mean no?" Grace asked. "How can you be so calm?!"
"I am losing people just like you! Mokuba… Kisara… but this dimension still stands! And while it does, we're still here to fight!"
"Yuzu and the others went to free the angels… as long as they have… we're still in this." Gongenzaka reaffirmed.
As he finished his sentence the Synchro Dimension had been wiped out.
Yuzu
The group were now leaving the Academia castle via their Monsters which could fly using the Real Solid Vision system. They had been able to leave quickly as the students and guards were no longer defending the corridors, they had no reason to.
Yuzu was being flown over by Mozarta and was on her back. She looked to the sky and saw the whiteness now fully covering the dimensional spaces.
"What… what on earth do we do….?" Yuzu thought.
"Don't give up…." Ciel said through Yuzu's bracelet.
"Ciel!"
"I… heard that as well…" Reiji said. As someone with no connection, Reiji had been unable to see or hear any of the duel spirits or angels until now.
"This might be a negative moment but while we're still here… we can't give up." Fiona said to Ruri.
"Even though this is much worse than before…." Elisa added to Serena.
"We might not have our energy anymore but we have you girls." Linette spoke to Rin.
"We can still save everyone and everything." Maria said to Ray.
"Those are the angels…?" Marina replied.
"Yeah." Ray said. "Our original selves from the original world."
"We will fight for you!"Warrior appeared next to Yuzu in physical form.
"And now I see… duel spirits…" Reiji was almost shocked for words.
"With our energy and the dragon energy…. the Fusion Dimension is evolving…. regressing… back to the original world." Warrior said.
"But still… how?" Rin asked.
"The dragons merged using the Pendulum power… we used that same power to break the dragons up, spilt the dimensions and place a seal on them…. it was all we could do…" Ciel replied.
"So we do that again?" Yuzu asked.
"No!" the angels all yelled.
"We don't do that." Ciel said. "We had no other choice last time…. but we know that Yuya and the others are buried within the dragons themselves… we have a new way to get through without resetting everything."
"We get through to Yuya and the others… they might be able to break the dragon's control?" Ray asked.
"It's our only hope. We have to believe that's the case." Fiona said.
"And…. Leo?" Marina asked.
"Leo will be using the merged dragon as his main weapon…. if we can take out Leo at the same time as battling the dragons…" Elisa said.
"They'll be separated." Serena replied.
"But… how can they remember us…?" Ruri asking the question no one wanted to ask. "When they were in their dragon forms…. the others couldn't break through…"
"No… Clear Wing… back in the Synchro Dimension, we got Clear Wing back to his senses; he and Yugo were talking together!" Rin reminded Ruri.
"I know but after being tortured when he captured them… any chance of that was gone… the dragons have been fighting each other… and now they've merged… there's no chance." Ruri replied.
"We have to try something!" Rin yelled.
"And we will but turning on each other will do nothing." Linette said.
"I know…. sorry, Ruri." Rin said to Ruri as Ruri smiled.
"Since they gained their objective… and knowing Leo will be controlling them… we might just be able to reach the boys. It's not a perfect plan but it's all we got. This is the worst case scenario but it's not over yet." Warrior explained as the group continued to fly to the mainland.
"Once we bring the boys back and take down Leo… we hopefully will get our powers back to reset everything." Ciel said.
In the distance they could see Kaiba and the others which brought relief to the group.
"They made it…" Yuzu said with relief keeping in mind that billions of lives had now been erased and the carded souls were being used as energy to fuel the Arc Area Project.
The citizens of Fusion were all frozen with fear; even those who still sided with Leo after the mainland group had exposed his true methods to the dimension. That feeling would soon be shared as firing to the sky underneath the dome was a thick black shadows.
"Now what?!" Yuzu yelled who could see it from the air.
"Is that….?" Ray stuttered.
"Yes…. it has begun…" Fiona replied.
From the Academia castle, the Obelisk Force along with each student was watching. Many were nervous while some were excited that Leo's goal was finally coming true.
The shadows covered the sky as five colours then fired up, white, blue, orange, purple and black.
"No…." Yuzu said to herself as the colours became five different balls and then merged together before exploding to form a humongous demon figure.
This demon towered above everything in the Fusion Dimension. It stood up on two legs which were muscular. The dragon's body was made up of pure dark scales with a thin chest. The back had dark spikes and the chest had a blue gem in the centre.
It had a pair of wings which blocked out most of the skylight. The wings were dark black with purple gems. Green energy flowed through the veins. The wings stretched to the equivalent of about five humans.
It had a long windy neck which again had spikes. The head was almost skull shape with sharp edges. It almost shined like metal. It had green eyes and five long head spikes along with a lengthy nose and mouth.
On its forehead were five gems, white, blue, orange, purple and black. The Supreme King Dragon had been reborn.
The dragon unleashed the deafening roar which blew the glass out of every tall building in Fusion, the people having to run to avoid being hit by the falling glass.
The Supreme King looked down at the meadow below and saw Leo with the biggest smirk on his face.
"I did it… I… did it…"
Supreme King picked up Leo with its colossal hand and brought him up to eye-level. Leo, who had rewritten the dragon's memories, knew exactly what he wanted to do.
Across the dimension holoscreen appeared of Leo.
"Welcome to our utopia!" Leo yelled. "Do not fear the Supreme King as he is directly under my control. As I have shown to you in the past, I have the power to fix which is broken."
Yuzu and the others could only watch as they continued to try to get to the mainland.
"When the war destroyed this dimension, I brought Real Solid Vision… I fixed this world and made it better. Now with the ancient energies of the angels and the dragons… allow me to create the perfect world!"
Leo held out his arms and the setting of the Fusion Dimension begun to change. The people were all in too much shock to move as buildings were changed to high purple towers of different sizes. Roads increased in height as many buildings now formed on separate pillars which floated in the sky.
The sky gained a golden bridge and lit up brightly, Academia castle begun to form into a much older looking castle which caught the students out by shock.
Golden pillars formed across the new dimension as new land was being created in the white space that had wiped out the previous dimensions.
Leo then felt a surge go through his body and dropped to his knees, the bracelet which contained the angel energy begun to spark.
"That's… enough for now….!
Up in the air, Reiji looked around.
"He's… changed everything…. but if he can do that… he could wipe us out!"
"No. That's what the dragon is for." Ciel said.
"What do you mean?" Yuzu asked.
"Leo is still only human." Reiji replied.
"When we reincarnated humans of the original world… we tried to save as many dead and living as possible… that included the recently deceased Leo…." Ciel replied.
"I know you didn't mean to kill him, Ciel."
"I know but still… King Leo was reincarnated into Leo Akaba…with the genius of his new-self… he found tracings of the original… that clearly triggered an impulse in his mind which clearly influenced his true-self to come to Fusion and start all this… the point is he was able to slowly break the seal placed on him… apart from that he's only human."
"Unlike the angels and dragons… Leo was able to use technology to harness the power… we saw him… science and magic… Leo is only as strong as the machines he built!" Rin yelled.
"Which means using that energy will tire him out… however the dragon… he can order that thing around all day." Elisa said.
"Leo will wear out just by rebuilding the dimension… no way could he erase someone by using our power." Ciel said.
"The dragon is his main enforcer…." Fiona added.
"Leo said he would give people the chance to prove their loyalty…" Ruri said.
"But now many know what truly has been happening… the lies… the cost… most will not fall in line." Marina said.
"Leo never wanted to control people directly; he wanted to be honoured by people's own freewill." Serena added.
"But this isn't just Leo Akaba anymore… he's a mixture of both… he wasn't called the Crazy King for a reason back in the original world. He will force people into submission by fear if he has to." Warrior replied.
Back with Leo and he finally stood up.
"Now then… who will kneel before me?!"
The residents of the Fusion Dimension all looked in terror as many froze in place.
"I built a new world… and I can keep rebuilding… if I can build it… I can tear it down!" Leo yelled as he ordered the Supreme King to show its power.
Supreme King's gems lit up on its forehead and fired a deadly beam which comprised of all five energies from the gems. The golden pillars which been formed were quickly destroyed causing the giant pillars to come falling down onto the newly built towers.
No one had been near the crashes as Leo clearly wanted to send a message.
"Maybe a little more…" Leo smirked as the dragon fired another beam and this time sent multiple beams firing through the roads which the citizens finally unfroze and begun to run as the beams blasted nearby buildings which sent people flying. Derbies landed across the world as the people who had been caught were now down injured but not killed.
"We have to stop this!" Gongenzaka yelled. The group were hidden away by some tall buildings but were able to see the damage being done by the holoscreens. Leo was making sure the damage was seen everywhere.
"And how exactly?!" Grace replied.
"Where are Yuzu and the others?!" Masumi yelled.
The Supreme King was able to sense an incoming force. It looked up and so did Leo.
"Here they are! Take them out!" Leo yelled as the Supreme Dragon unleashed the beams once more.
It was Yuzu and the others who were now in the sight of the mainland Lancers.
"Here they come!" Pendulum Warrior yelled. "Let's go!"
Firing out from each of the girl's decks were the close friends of each of their respective angels and were the lead warriors during the last war.
Rin fired out Callistis the Synchro Brilliant Witch, Ruri and her Uriel Celestial Guardian. Ray was joined by Spiritual Samurai andDianah, Queen of the Fusion Lunalight Beast.
Each one lifted up their weapons and formed a guard. They flew in front of the girls and Reiji and took the hit directly as the beams struck.
"Hold on!" Warrior yelled as the five person guard did their best to weather the blast.
"We had worse!" Samurai replied.
As they took the blast the rest of the Lancers were able to drift done towards the rest of the Lancers.
"They've made it!" Masumi yelled as Yuzu and the others dismounted from their flying Monsters and reunited with the others.
"Gongenzka, Masumi… everyone." Yuzu joyed.
"Aki, Ruka, Mercy!" Rin added.
"We told you we would make it." Shun said to Ruri.
"Thank you." she replied with a delightful smile.
"Let's go save Yuzar." Kaiba said to Ray as she nodded back.
"Let's end this." Gloria fist-bumped Serena as Serena returned the gesture.
"So… how do we actually do that?" Grace interrupted.
"We worked out how to reverse the carding on people." Kaiba said.
"But… it's too late the Arc Area Project has begun." Yuzu replied.
"Not if I'm right. Their soul energy is being used on a constant loop. We just need to get inside the machine to use this Academia duel disk I reverse-engineered to revert them."
"Couldn't the angels undo them?" Marina asked.
"Getting back our powers… to have to undo everything…. it might be too much." Ciel said.
"What was that?" Gloria said.
"Oh that's the angels..."
"Wait… that voice… where did it come from?" Gongenzaka looked around.
"In here…" Yuzu pointed at her bracelet.
"The point is, we're merely souls now… no body… nothing. We need you guys to get the power back to us. It's all stored in Leo's bracelet." Ciel said. "However if you can get the Arc Area Project to lose its power, I think the dimensions could well return."
"They got erased?" Kaiba said.
"No. Just like carding… their merely stored elsewhere." Elisa said.
"Leo can use our magic but he doesn't have the knowledge. If you can rescue the dimensions… we can focus fully on stopping the Supreme King." Fiona said.
"We're going to try and get through to the boys." Yuzu said. "If they can fight back internally, then maybe there's a chance the angels could separate them."
"Leaving us with a chance to take down the Supreme King." Ciel said.
"And… what will you do then?" Gongenzaka said.
"With the boys and dragons separated… we can…" Ciel stuttered.
"We'll… work it out when we do." Yuzu added, Ciel and the others truly had no idea what would happen to their former friends or if they could be saved from themselves.
"Regardless we need to get through to the boys!" Rin yelled.
"And how… that… thing is wrecking havoc?" Rio said.
Up above the guard formed by their Monsters was waning.
"We can't take much more of this!" Callistis yelled.
"We bought them enough time! We need to return to card form!" Warrior said as all five faded away and fired back into their owner's decks.
Yuzu and the others sensed that their Monsters returned.
"Warrior… everyone, thank you." Yuzu held up Warrior's card.
"We did all we could… please tell me you have a plan?"
"Yes but we need Leo out of the picture first… I have a score to settle with him." Yuzu said.
As Yuzu spoke a shadow approached high in the sky and Leo and the Supreme King had finally found them.
"Lancers…." Leo said.
"Leo!" Reiji snarled back.
"This is my utopia… my kingdom… I'll take you out directly!" Leo aimed his finger at the Lancers and ordered the Supreme King to take them out.
"Quick!" Reiji yelled as they ran but before they could this time firing out of the girl's decks were Mozarta along with Winter Bell, Assembly Nightingale, Cat Dancer and Ritual Spirit Warlord, this time taking the hit.
"Guys!" Yuzu yelled as they were able to use their powers to block.
"Allies of the angels… still fighting beside them after all these years! Annoying insects!" Leo raised his hand and his bracelet lit up.
"Now what's he doing?!" Yuzu yelled.
"Giving the dragon even more power!" Leo roared as the power of the bracelet flowed into the Supreme King.
"This isn't good!" Ciel yelled.
"How so?!" Yuzu replied as the bracelet increased the power of the dragon. He lit up in a brighter light and the veins turned from green to red.
"Odd-Eyes wasn't just Odd-Eyes…. he absorbed Sin!"
"No…" Yuzu took a step back as the energy made the dragon curl up in pain, causing Leo to shake in its hand.
"What are you doing?!" he yelled while trying to hang on for dear life.
"No….. NO!" yelled a booming voice.
"Telepathic?!" Reiji questioned as the dragon gained red eyes.
"It can talk?!" Leo shouted. "I rewrote your memories to make you a mindless obeying creature!"
"No!" the Supreme King roared as he threw Leo across the sky and landing on top of a building.
Yuzu and the girl's Monsters faded as the dragon looked at his hands.
"I…. who… am… I?!"
"Yuya! Odd-Eyes?! Anyone?!" Yuzu desperately pleaded.
"Sin….is that who I am?!" the dragon questioned to himself.
"I think Leo putting more power into the Supreme King… it awoke Sin and now they've all merged into some kind of… new hybrid…." Ciel said.
"Does today get any better?!" Grace yelled. In the distance they could see Academia soldiers and students flying towards them.
"You had to ask." Gloria replied.
"This world…. what… is this…. world?"
"Listen! You don't need to panic!" Yuzu yelled towards it.
"Yugo… Yuri… Yuzar… Yuto… Yuya… please!" Rin bellowed.
"Dragons… human… Sin…. am I one of them… or something… new…?!"
"Please just listen to us!"
"I… know… one… thing…. dueling… the only form of knowledge I need… and have!" the dragon continued to speak to himself. "Such… pointless destruction… I will find out who I am through my own knowledge… I have to….!"
The Supreme King raised his hands and forming on top of the dragon's head was a shadowy figure with red eyes.
"Now what…?!" Aki said.
The figure raised his hand and a black circular duel disk appeared with a black and green blade.
"This is all I know… I will discover who and what I am!" the Supreme King yelled.
"What on earth happens now?!" Yuzu questioned.
"We need to help the people… Yuzu and the girls, you need to get to Leo." Reiji said.
"Then we will take it on!" Gongenzaka yelled.
"And me." Shun said.
"We all will." Ruka added. The Resistance with Rio leading along with everyone else they had made allies with all joined in.
"Guys…" Yuzu smiled.
"This is our final fight… let's hope for Ra's sake we live to tell the tale!" Warrior sighed.
