Chapter 2

Ash and Serena are leading the other students as they are going to have a fight again, but just as the others are fighting, Ash suddenly grabs Serena's hand as they rush into the forest.

"Hey! What are you doing? What if someone sees us here? If someone found us, we won't have our place among the students here anymore!" Serena says. "We'll eventually have to break up as well!"

"I know, but trust me, I am not going to let that happen." Ash says.

"So what do you want now?" Serena asks.

"I was thinking about knowing each other first." Ash says as he takes out his Pokeball. "And I'm going to use this one to fight."

Serena gasps as he sends out a Charizard, it is also rumored to be one of Ash's strongest Pokemon as not even a Mega one can defeat it in its normal form. "I see..." Serena takes out a Pokeball and sends out Milotic.

"Milotic, huh? That sure is a Pokemon from the East."

"I could say the same thing with your Greninja." Serena says. "Pokemon Battles aren't just for fights, it is also a way to communicate with each other, then show me your power!"

"Of course, I am not going to hold back."

As the others are fighting, Chloe is fighting Clemont as she says, "If you think you're going to look down on me, then you're wrong. Use Copy Cat!"

Eevee glows as it uses Wild Charge, which deals a lot of damage to Luxray. Clemont clicks his tongue and says, "Even though you are a member of the East, according to my scientific data, you're going to lose this battle."

Just then, heat from the woods start to drag all people in it, both Pokemon and human are hit by the flames.

"What the..." Kiawe says, "What is this kind of fire?"

"Don't tell me that Ash is doing that again...I'm going to fine him the next time we met!" Barry yells.

"Ash!" Chloe rushes into the woods, and Clemont also notices that Serena is not here, and she might be in danger. So he also follows Chloe.

"So this is Charizard's power..." Serena is taking deep breathes and she says, "However, Milotic, use Rain Dance!"

Milotic dances and it creates the rain to put off the flames. Ash smirks, "You're not bad."

"You're the same." Serena says as they notice Chloe and Clemont rushing towards them. Ash says, "They're here...let's say that the match is a draw."

"I agree." Serena says as they recall their Pokemon. "But just so you know, I will definitely win against you!"

"I'll wait for that, princess." Ash says with a mocking tone, which causes Serena to be furious. But she knows Ash has to do it, so that their relationship won't be revealed.

"Serena, are you alright?" Clemont asks Serena, who shrugs and says, "I told you, I don't want anyone to protect me."

Chloe asks Ash, "Ash, are you hurt? Did that witch do something to you?"

"No, I'm fine." Ash says as they go back to the battlefield, and both Chloe and Ash are being surrounded by Trip, Stephan, and Cameron at the same time.

"You guys, huh? What do you want this time?" Ash asks with a bored tone.

"Crushing you of course." Trip says as they send out Serperior, Zebstrika, and Samurott. Ash sighs, "No matter how many Pokemon you send out, they are not my Pokemon's match. Since you're all from Unova, how about I show you the power to win the Unova League?"

Then he sends out Krookodile, Leavanny, and Zoroark, as they are fighting against the Pokemon that Ash owned. Chloe is also fighting against a girl named Rosa, as she is using an Amoongus.

"Use Sleep Powder!" Rosa commands, but the target is not Eevee but Chloe, as she falls asleep. But as she falls, she accidentally pushes Ash a little as something comes out from his pocket, which is a handmade bracelet. The beads broke to the ground and dropped into pieces. This causes Ash to be in flames. "Nobody hurts my comrades with dirty tricks! Krookodile! Earthquake! Leavanny! Bug Buzz! Zoroark! Snarl!"

Just then, Ash has his three Pokemon attack all sides, both his side and Serena's side, and all the Pokemon immediately faint in the end. "What power..." Trip mutters as he tries to cover his ears.

"Louder and Louder! Stronger and Stronger! I'm going to let everyone pay for breaking something precious to me!" Ash yells hysterically as everyone besides him are suffering.

That night, Ash is sitting at the lake looking at the broken bracelet. He mutters, "I was about to give this to Serena...but now I couldn't do it..."

He was about to throw the bracelet into the lake, but a hand grabs him, and it turns out to be Serena.

"Serena?" Ash asks.

"I'm sorry what happened. I never knew Rosa would play this dirty..." Serena says with an apologetic tone. "To attack a person just to win...that is not what I've believed."

"It's fine." Ash sighs. "I wanted to give you a present, but it is ruined..."

Serena suddenly gives him a smile, which is something Ash wants to see. She says, "How about we try to surf on the lake?"

Ash sighs and says, "Sure." He takes out a Pokeball and Lapras come out of it. Serena can tell that it is a cute Lapras, as it also takes both of them to the lake.

"The wind sure feels nice today." Ash says as he and Serena are sitting at the shell of the Lapras. "And just the two of us alone."

"Yeah." Serena says. "So how did you have this Lapras?"

"It was being beaten when I met her the first time, a lot of trainers are abusing it just because it is a rare Pokemon and they want to capture it. I saved her from the others and that's how it becomes my Pokemon." Ash says.

"You really are nice to your Pokemon." Serena sighs.

"You are the same as well. Pokemon are like my family, I can't lose any one of them." Ash says as he pets Pikachu's head.

"So the present you wanted to give me..." Serena looks at the broken bracelet. "I'm sorry it got broken."

"It's fine." Ash sighs. "I could give you a better present after all. So you could just throw that into the lake."

Serena sighs as she says, "Ash, can you close your eyes and lean forward a little?"

Ash is confused, but he does it. Then he feels Serena being close to him for a second until it goes away. Even though it is just a little second, Ash can feel the breath from Serena, which causes him to blush a little.

"Now open your eyes." Ash opens his eyes and finds that he has a pendant on his neck. Ash asks, "What is this?"

"It's a pendant from my father." Serena says. "He gave it to me as it signals good luck. I wish to press that good luck to you."

"Oh..." Ash says as he smiles, "Thank you, I'll cherish it."

"But it feels weird..." Serena says, "I mean, I have been treated you as an enemy until yesterday...and now I start to act like a girlfriend or something else...I don't think I can just do it."

Ash gives her a hug and says, "Don't worry, I am sure that we can overcome all the problems. Just remember: Don't give up until it is over."

Serena smiles, "You're right."

Then they start to think of what to talk about, until Ash says, "So Serena...what drives you to challenge the Contests? I mean...you could have become a battler considering how your Pokemon are so strong."

Serena says, "I wasn't thinking of entering Contests, in the west, there are Performances, it is similar to contests, but we don't have Battle stages. When I saw my idol Aria, the former Kalos Queen, I want to be just like her. After becoming the Kalos Queen, Galar Queen, Unova Queen, and even the Alola Queen, I have been thinking of the boy that saved me from the woods when I was little, that's why I got my parents' permission to go to Kanto."

She clenches her fists and says, "A lot of Eastern People know who I am considering I am the Four Queens, as they want to make me humiliate in these battles, so I decide to enter these Contests and show them who is the strongest. A lot of people try to damage my Pokemon in the Battle Stages, but the judges have to admit that I'm better than those who think I'm weak. That's how I won Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh Grand Festivals."

Ash nods. "I see, that sure is something else."

"What about you? Ash? What drives you to enter the Pokemon Leagues?" Serena asks.

Ash sighs, "I watched a match on TV, it is Leon from the Galar Region against Lance from the Johto Region. At that time, Leon was the one that won against Lance. The match is making me excited, I want to become the first person to defeat Leon."

"But you did beat him, and that causes a lot of problem for you in the Galar Region. A lot of people have been harassing you for defeating their undefeatable Champion, but how did you escape?"

Ash says, "My love for Pokemon is not simple. And as you noticed, with the pendant you gave me, I have two pendants."

Serena notices that Ash has another pendant and it shapes like an Arceus. Ash says, "My great-grandfather is Sir Aaron, he is an Aura Guardian that has been trying to stop the war from happening. He sacrificed himself, but the war still continues...our family is given the goal of changing the world for the better...but not even my father is capable of doing that before he perished..."

"Wow...I mean, my parents are also the ones who dislike the war. But that doesn't explain what the pendant is for..."

"With this pendent, I can call upon every Legendary Pokemon, every Mythical Pokemon, and every Ultra Beasts to my side." Ash says as Serena gasps, she realizes that if Ash uses those Pokemon in battle, they won't have a chance to win.

Ash says, "After winning Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, I am just like you, wanting to find the girl I have a crush on, and that's why I came to the Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Galar. Let's say that the Professors are kind as they don't treat me as a person from the East. Especially Professor Kukui, he treated me like his own son even though we are from different unions."

"I see..." Serena says, "If you ask me, the Professors of your regions are also the same. Professor Oak is also a grandfather for me as well."

Ash and Serena chuckle as they decide to head back to the shore, but they aren't careful enough as they all fall into the lake. But neither of them cared as they chuckle before getting back up to the shore.

"That was quite fun, thank you for the night, Ash." Serena says as she leaves before somebody notices her.

"Anytime." Ash says as he also returns to his dorm.

Here is a new chapter, and I decide to reveal some things about Ash and Serena in the story. I hope you like it and I am going to introduce another important person in the story in the next chapter.
