Chapter 3

At the stairway, Ash is standing there as he is in deep thought, Chloe walks towards Ash along with Dawn, one of her best friends. Dawn asks, "Ash? What are you doing here?"

"Oh, Chloe, Dawn." Ash says, "I am just waiting for someone."

"By the way, I'm sorry..." Chloe lowers her head, and Ash sighs, "You don't need to apologize again, I know you didn't want to break my bracelet."

"But still..." Chloe says.

"Anyway, who are you waiting for?" Dawn asks.

"Um..." Ash doesn't know how to reply, but then they see a girl with a white hat walking towards them. "Ash...here I am..."

"Oh, Leaf. Here you are." Ash says as both Dawn and Chloe are shocked as they look at the two of them.

"That dense head..." Chloe says. "Have a girlfriend?" Dawn adds.

"What are you talking about? We are just friends." Ash says. "This is Leaf, she is also from Pallet Town just like me."

"It's nice to meet you..." Leaf bows and Dawn says, "It's nice to meet you as well."

But Chloe is pouting a little as she is showing jealousy at the girl, but she sighs and says, "It's nice to meet you as well."

Leaf sighs, as she is actually Serena in disguise. She has been thinking about how she would come to this.

(Flashback)

"We could go out on a date together." Ash suggests.

"No way! What if people from the East or the West see us?" Serena asks, "Even though there are nice people like the Professors who don't mind us being together, but a majority of people are against us being together!"

"Then how about we make disguises?" Ash says. "You have stayed at the East, or in my case, the West. If one of us do our disguises, then we will be able to fool anyone."

"And do you think it will work? This whole thing is too reckless!" Serena mutters. "But I would like to try it out."

"I was thinking that if you don't want to, then I'll do it instead." Ash sighs.

"Then how about we both do it? I'll be an East for today and you'll be a West for tomorrow. Is that fine?" Serena asks.

"I don't mind." Ash smiles, "That's a promise."

(Flashback Ends)

"How did you let Ash fall in love with you!" Dawn asks Leaf, who blushes and says, "We haven't confessed to each other yet! Stop trying to assume things!"

Ash says, "What are you girls talking about?"

Chloe and Dawn sigh as Ash is still the same dense head, or that's what they think. At the same time, the boys are walking towards them as Gary notices Ash and smirks, "Hey there, Ashy Boy."

"I told you not to use that nickname! Gare Bear!" Ash says with fake anger, Gary shrugs and he notices Leaf. "Well if it isn't Leaf? I never knew you were here as well."

"You know her, Gary?" Dawn asks, also feeling a little jealous.

Gary says, "She is from Pallet Town according to my Gramps. A few years ago, Tracy has some work to do as he has to leave the lab for a year, during that time, she is the one that takes care of the lab."

Ash whispers to Leaf, "Seriously? You have been wearing a disguise since then? Why didn't you tell me about it?"

"It was Professor Oak's idea, she doesn't want those who are depositing Pokemon noticed that I'm a West." Serena whispers back.

Ash coughs and says, "Anyway, Leaf and I are going to have a walk around the school, so I'll see you guys later."

Ash suddenly grabs Leaf's hand as they rush away, causing Leaf to blush madly. Gary turns to Dawn and asks, "What is that about?"

"I have no idea. But I think those two might have some history together." Dawn sighs, and Chloe is feeling anger as she clenches her fists.

Ash and Leaf are now alone as Ash says, "Do you know that this region is made because of the friendship between the West and the East?"

Leaf nods, "Of course. That's why we can see a lot of different cultures in the same area. But both sides are bickering, that's why we want to change the world..."

"But still, your disguising skills are perfect. Professor Oak might have taught you a lot." Ash says.

"I know." Serena sighs. "It seems that he has a cousin who is staying at Alola, which is why he is the only person besides you that I can trust in the East. But that Gary...he is Professor Oak's Grandson, right? He has been flirting with me several times when I stayed at his lab."

Ash feels anger rising and says, "Don't worry about that Oak Tree. He won't be able to do anything if I'm around."

"I hope so." Leaf says.

Just then, they are surrounded by people from the East, as they want to know Leaf more, which causes her to be embarrassed and nervous.

"Hey, what are you doing with my girl!" Ash roars, and everyone is surprised, the dense head has a girlfriend. One member asks, "What do you mean your girl?"

Ash realizes that he might have spit something, and he says, "No, I mean, what are you doing with this girl here! Don't you see she is nervous with you guys being here?"

Barry says, "We just want to know her more! She doesn't seem to be in our school, but she is pretty!"

"Thanks..." Leaf is a little surprised.

"Then how about it? If you guys are able to beat me in Pokemon Battles, I'll let you guys know her more." Ash says, and it causes Leaf to panic. "Ash! That's..."

"Trust me, I won't lose." Ash says as he starts to battle the boys who are trying to harass Leaf.

While he is doing that, Dawn approaches Leaf and says, "Are you sure you two aren't in that level? I see that Ash is trying to protect you even though he has to defeat all the males here."

"I...it is just coincidence." Leaf turns away and thinks, "Those East People...why are they so annoying...no wonder why I hate some of them..."

After Ash manages to defeat all the students with the help of Lucario, Pikachu, Greninja, Charizard, Sceptile, and Krookodile, he turns to Leaf and says, "Sorry, Leaf...I just wanted to have some alone time with you...but it was ruined."

Leaf says, "It's fine. I can feel your enthusiasm, and besides, we still have tomorrow."

Ash sighs, "You're right. I'll see you then."

Both people nod as they quickly rush away, some people who are not going to give up learning Leaf try to chase her, but she is teleported away without them noticing.

The next day, Serena is back to her normal self as she is waiting for a person, her friends, Rosa, Clemont, Mallow, Lana, Kiawe, and Sophocles are walking towards her. Clemont asks, "Serena? Where were you yesterday? We couldn't find you anywhere."

Serena says, "I was having a great time with one of my friends, I'm going to spend some time with him today as well."

"A friend? Who are you talking about?" Rosa asks, and then they see a boy with black hair walking towards them. Serena rushes to the boy and gives him a greeting. "Hey, Calem! How are you?"

"Hello, Serena." Calem greets the girl, in truth, Calem is Ash's disguise as a person in the West. And it gains the attention of everyone as the girls are blushing at the sight of Calem.

"Calem? Is that you?" Kiawe walks towards the boy and gives him a fist bump. "I never knew you were here."

"I wasn't a student in this school, you know, I prefer traveling instead of staying at school." Calem says.

"You know him?" Serena asks with surprise, and Mallow says, "We were at the same class back in the Alola Region. Not to mention he is the first Alolan Champion until that guy took over..."

The others know that they are talking about Ash Ketchum as they clench their fists, since no one in the school has defeated the boy.

Calem says, "Enough about this Ash Ketchum stuff. Serena and I have some place to go, so we'll see you later."

Just then, Clemont grabs Calem's hand and says, "Hold on, who do you think you are? Trying to take Serena like she is your girlfriend or something."

Ash says, "Trust me, I am more capable compared to you guys, don't you think so, Serena?"

Serena blushes a little and nods, she says, "I don't like people fighting with each other, especially people from the same place as me."

"I'm sorry, Serena." Calem bows as the two of them leave. Rosa says, "What is wrong with you, Clemont? Why are you provoking him?"

Mallow says, "It is obvious, he is jealous. But it sure has been a while since we see Calem."

"Can you tell us more about him?" Just then, Hop walks towards them and asks.

"Sure, when he comes to Alola, he was invited by Professor Kukui to stay with our class. He is also the one that was given the Z Ring from Tapu Koko as well as the first one to record a new form of Lycanroc."

Kiawe nods and says, "Even though he sometimes makes us worried because of his unpredictable actions, but he is also nice and he cares for Pokemon."

"Sounds like he is a nice person, and strong as well. But how did he lose to Ash Ketchum?" Rosa asks.

"That's something we need to know, apparently, he has been into Pokemon Leagues from both the east and the west, and he has a crazy Greninja that would completely wipe out all the Pokemon with ease. I bet he also used that to defeat Calem as well." Sophocles says. "A lot of people try to prove that the Greninja has been using drugs, but there is no sign of drugs, and Professor Sycamore said that it is a Greninja with the rare ability."

While the others are talking about Calem, Ash and Serena are at the amusement park located at Rotaeel City as they are riding the Ferris Wheel, Serena asks, "So Calem, how did you have this disguise on?"

"It is thanks to Professor Kukui and his wife Professor Burnet. They are the ones that give me the disguise. They also treated me like their son, and it is something that I'm grateful for. With their help, I can adjust to the life of the west, just like how you did in the East."

"I see. The view outside is so beautiful..." Serena says as they look out the window.

"You're right about that." Ash says with a smile.

But as they are having fun in the amusement park, they accidentally encounter Goh and Chloe, who is also at the amusement park. "Serena! What are you doing here?"

"That is my question." Serena says.

"Now it is our chance, if we manage to defeat Serena, we might get fame for defeating the strongest trainer in the West." Goh says with a smirk.

"If you think you can attack Serena, you'll have to get past me." Calem stands in front of Serena, causing her to blush as he is just like a knight with shining armor.

"Who are you? Are you her bodyguard or some sort?" Chloe asks.

"You can say so, I will not let you harm Serena. As a West, I hate people like you who try to start a fight just because of trifle things." Calem says as he sends out a Dusk Form Lycanroc, which scares the two of them a little.

"What is that Lycanroc..." Goh says. "It is not Midday and Midnight..."

"This is the Dusk Form, just like how your leader has that Greninja." Calem smirks, but before the battle can happen, Serena grabs Ash and says, "No fighting here, let's go, Calem."

Calem sighs as he recalls his Pokemon and leaves, Goh and Chloe try to chase after him, but they are both gone.

Goh says, "Just where did that bastard go?"

"Calm down, Goh, we should tell Ash about Calem, he might be stronger than we think..." Chloe says as the two of them decide to head back to the dorm.

Back with Calem and Serena. Serena says, "Wow, Ash...I can't believe you would do that to your friends..."

Calem says, "I know, I have learned a lot about acting, if you want to disguise as people from the West, then you'll have to act like one."

"You're right, I'm not going to lose when it comes to acting." Serena says with determination. "I'll show you that I'm the best actor than you."

"I'll like to see that happening." Ash chuckles as they continue with their day at the amusement park.

Here is a new chapter, and I decided to give both Ash and Serena disguises so that they won't be detected by others. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be introducing two new characters.
