Chapter 4
Ash sighs as he looks at how the sun begins to rise, everyone has finished their breakfast as Emily and Lillie are helping with the dishes.
Ash says, "I was half expecting Gladion to storm up here demanding to speak to you."
"Me too, but I don't think it really bothers me, he said so himself, I am just a person who does plastic surgery to make myself look like...well, me."
Emily says, "But I have to admit, your brother is very handsome. If only he isn't that evil..."
"I know what you mean, Emily." Ash sighs.
After the dishes are done, the whole family is walking towards the stadium to see the matches, and on their way, they see Felicia and Anabel are talking to each other.
"Anabel? Is that you?" Ash is surprised to see the purple-haired girl, and Anabel smiles and says, "Long time no see, Ash. How are you?"
"Well, we are doing fine. But what are you doing with Felicia?" Ash asks.
Felicia says, "Our match starts after 30 minutes, and we are teamed up. What about you? Who are you teaming up with?"
Ash says, "Well, it seems that I am teaming up with a person who has been helping me spying on those people who has done accusation, I mean, one of them."
Lillie says, "As for me, I'm teaming up with Chelsea, I'm not complaining considering that we are both from Alola and she is the one that brings me into the road of an idol."
Felicia turns to Ashlie and asks, "And what about you, young princess?"
"I think I'm partnered with a man from the Alola Region named Goomba, I am not sure who would name after a character from an old school game, but as long as he doesn't hold me back, I'm fine."
Ash asks, "By the way, where is your sister? Felicia?"
Felicia shrugs, "Probably dragging Crolea to stuff herself with the desserts at the food court."
Lillie sighs, "I'm feeling sorry for those owners, they would need to stock some more desserts considering how much of a glutton Delicia is."
"ASH KETCHUM!" Ash's smile fades after hearing the voices, as he knows where the voices are from.
"Looks like we have some trouble makers around here..." Ash sighs as he turns around. "May I help you people?"
"You know full well why we're here! Loser!" May snaps.
"Of course, if you want to go to the lunatic convention, it is just around the corner after this street." Ash says.
"Oh, very funny huh? I forgot to laugh." Goh says.
"Believe it or not, we actually do have a lunatic convention." Ashlie says.
"Hey! You were the one that cheated in my battle!" Max yells.
"Me? Cheated? Don't make me laugh, your Sceptile is so weak that my Chuster can just beat you easily. I won't need to cheat to win against you."
"But seriously, what do you idiots want?" Ash rolls his eyes, "And you are not going to pick on my daughter for just kicking your butt in the battle."
"You in prison and out of our lives! That's what we want!" Clemont says.
Ash chuckles and says, "What? Still trying to frame me for a crime that I didn't commit? News flash idiots, don't you forget that I proved that I'm innocent yesterday and how the Champions and the Professors are standing by my side? If this is a joke then sorry I forgot how to laugh."
"The traitors are furious at how Ash is insulting them without swearing. And Gladion turns to Lillie and says, "There you are, Lillie! I have been worried about you!"
"Worried about me? Is this some sort of joke?" Lillie folds her arms. "First you tried to frame my husband for kidnapping me, while all he did is give me happiness and everything that a girl would have dreamed of, and you tried to even frame me for being a girl who tried to do plastic surgery to mimick as myself."
"I..." Gladion is surprised as he decides to act, "Did I even say that?"
Lillie gives him a slap on the face and yells, "Don't you dare play Amnesia on me! You are not my brother and you never will!"
Gladion can't believe that his own sister would slap him in the face, he is now furious and he yells at Ash, "What have you done to my sister! You must have brainwashed her!"
"Excuse me, I wouldn't brainwash a perfect girl like Lillie. What she said is from her own free will and you are the cause of it." Ash says as he turns around and says, "Guys, we're leaving."
"See you later, losers." Ashlie waves them goodbye in a mock tone before rushing towards Ash and the rest, the traitors are furious, but they won't dare to approach them until they are ready.
Anabel and Felicia are talking as Anabel says, "So you were a part of Team Portal just because you wanted to see what the Data Vault looked like? I mean...why do I feel like this is some sort of excuse."
"I have been thinking of the same thing ever since I joined the team, I was also scared that Delicia might be in danger because of my actions in Team Portal." Felicia shrugs, "But I'm glad that we are set free and I was given a Battle Frontier Facility to stay." Felicia says.
"Speaking of your sister, why would she only speak dessert-related words? Can't she say something else?" Anabel asks.
"It is not she can't, but she doesn't want to. She is always hungry, like Morpeko of course." Felicia shrugs as they arrive at the battlefield, as their opponents are Malva the Fire Type Elite Four member, and a trainer named Brian, who is from Hoenn.
"So you were once a member of Team Portal? Funny since I was a part of something like that." Malva says.
"I'm flattered, but that doesn't mean I would be holding back on this battle." Felicia says.
"And don't forget both of us are Frontier Brains, we will show our full power." Anabel says with agreement.
The referee explains the rules that it would be Doubles with each trainer using two Pokemon, and Malva goes with Pyroar while Brian goes for Relicanth. Anabel goes for Espeon, and Felicia goes for Delcatty.
"Pyroar, use Flamethrower!" Malva says as the lion Pokemon shoots out the flames at the cat, and Relicanth is also using Water Gun as it is also aiming for Delcatty.
"Am I supposed to be worried about it? Dodge it, Vanilla!" Felicia says as her Delcatty manages to dodge the attack.
Ash and the others are watching, with Crolea and snack-filling Delicia by their side. Crolea says, "If they think Felicia is an easy target, then they are seriously wrong."
"I agree." Lillie says, "I still remember all the times when we face off against each other. Most of the time she battled me just because she was bored, a few because of Team Portal's orders."
Ash says, "Felicia is also a skilled magician, as a saying goes, 'The easiest way to attract a crowd is to let it be known that at a given time and a given place someone is going to attempt something that in the event of failure will mean sudden death.'"
And just as they expected, Felicia goes for Attract, which manages to make Pyroar and Relicanth fall in love at the same time.
"Good thing that they are both females." Felicia says.
Anabel says, "That sure is useful, Espeon! Now it is the time!"
Espeon's Future Sight happens, and it crashes on both Pokemon, Felicia delivers the final blow by using Return, which defeats both Pokemon.
"Looks like I have underestimated you, young girl." Malva says as she recalls her Pyroar, and she sends out her Houndoom as her final Pokemon, Brian goes for Sceptile, and both Pokemon have Mega Stones.
Anabel says, "You know, I can also play that game as well." She recalls Espeon and goes for Alakazam.
"If you want to play Mega Evolution, I am going to pass." Felicia says as she recalls Delcatty for Meowstic.
After the three trainers go for Mega Evolution, they start to go for fierce attacks. Felicia has Meowstic do Charge Beam to raise its Special Attack while attacking at the same time, she also goes for Shadow Ball, which deals a lot of damage to Sceptile.
"Use Snarl on that Meowstic." Malva says, hoping that the effects of Charge Beam would drop, but Felicia says, "Now it is the chance! Miracle Eye!"
The Psychic move causes Houndoom to be identified by Meowstic as the Psychic moves are going to hit it. Even though Snarl manages to hit, but Meowstic goes for Psychic, which eventually defeats Houndoom, and Alakazam also uses Tri-Attack to defeat Sceptile as well.
"Both Houndoom and Sceptile are unable to battle! Which means Felicia and Anabel are the winners, and they will be advancing to the next round!"
After the trainers shake hands, Malva says, "I must admit, your strength is powerful, no wonder you are a part of the battle frontier."
"Thanks, you're not bad as well." Felicia says.
At the stands, Crolea says, "Looks like your sister win the battle, right? Delicia?"
But as she turns around, Delicia is still focusing on her 100th box of chocolate as she says, "Chocolate!"
Crolea sighs as Ash and Lillie stand up, Emily asks, "Where are you two going?"
"We are going to meet someone." Ash says. "Emily, please help me take care of Ashlie and don't let anyone related to those traitors get near her."
"Okay." Emily nods as the two adults leave.
Once they are at the corner, they find two people walking towards them, and they are no other than Serena and Chloe. Ash says, "It is great to see you two again."
Serena nods and says, "Indeed. How are you two doing?"
Lillie says, "We are doing fine, thank you for asking. But I'm surprised that you two managed to escape those traitors."
"Believe me, it is very hard to find a chance." Chloe sighs.
After the betrayal, Ash and Lillie find out that both Serena and Chloe are under hypnosis from Max's Gardevoir, which is why they are forced to say those mean words and side with Professor Oak to frame Ash. So they have worked together to save them and free them from hypnosis. However, Ash's love for Serena has been broken since he has been developing feelings for Lillie, and Serena understands.
After some time, the two of them have been helping them spy on what the traitors are doing, and they are also the ones that inform them about Professor Oak's death news, which frustrates Ash since he is the key to proving his innocence.
"So Serena, it seems like you and I are on the same team, are you fine with this?" Ash asks.
"I guess so, I won't try to hold you back, considering I know how strong you are." Serena nods.
"What about you, Chloe? Who are you partnered with?" Lillie asks.
"A Dark Type Trainer named Dylan, he is one of your Gym Leaders, right?"
"Oh, Dylan? He is strong, both in Contests and battles, I'm sure you'll be fine with him." Ash says as they nod. "Well, since the next battle is going to be my daughter's, I'm going to cheer for her."
Serena and Chloe nod as they leave the two, as the two of them are heading back to the stadium.
