Yellow Chapter 14
"You three seem...so attached to each other." Lorelei says as she is still sitting on her Cloyster. Alice yells, "What have you done?"
She takes out three ice dolls and says, "If I use my lipstick to mark an "X" like so...Ice handcuffs appear on the real victims! Ha ha ha!" Lorelei says. "You can thank Jynx, as she is the one who crafted these Ice dolls out of Ice Beam. Your friends Red and Pikachu got caught in the same trap."
Then she jumps down and Green says, "If that's the case, then we will just melt it with fire." Alice says as she tries to use her other hand to have Arcanine melt the ice, but it doesn't work.
"Never melt ice, huh?" Sabrina mutters. "Then we must crush those dolls in her hand."
"I won't be doing that if I were you." Lorelei says, "Be careful when you attack. If the dolls shatter, then, of course, you shatter with them!"
"You...get this off now!" Green demands.
"Tsk! I don't believe either of you understands the position you're in. Ice Beam!" Lorelei has Cloyster attack them, as all three of them try to run in three directions, their binding just makes them crash at each other like some sort of rubber.
"Hey, pay attention to the direction we are moving, fools!" Sabrina yells at Green and Alice, and Green just retorts, "I could say the same thing to you!"
"Guys, I think we should calm down..." Alice tries to negotiate with them, but to no avail.
"Goodness! We don't get along very well, do we? Well, that's should make my job considerably easier." Lorelei says.
"Don't forget I'm here. Arcanine! Use Flamethrower!" Alice yells as Arcanine shoots out the fire, but Lorelei and Cloyster manage to dodge.
"So you think you can defeat me, huh? Alice?" Lorelei asks.
"She is not alone." Green says as she decides to send out her Nidorina to help. Sabrina is doing the same by sending out Venomoth. "Use Sleep Powder!"
"Blow it away with Blizzard!" As the Sleep Powder is sending back at them, Alice gasps and she quickly recalls Arcanine and goes for Victreebel, as it is a Grass Type, Sleep Powder has no effect, but Nidorina is hit.
"The Sleep Powder hit my Nido!" Green gasps in horror, but Sabrina just gives a snort. "It was in the way."
"What?" Green is glaring at Sabrina, and Lorelei says, "Such a well-oiled fighting machine..."
She sends out Jynx as commands, "Use Thrash!"
Jynx is changing at them as Alice yells, "Victreebel! Use Protect!"
Victreebel manages to protect them from being attacked, but much to their surprise, Jynx changes her direction to Green, as Sabrina has to use Alakazam to teleport them away.
"Is it just my imagination? Or are her attacks mainly aimed at Green?" Sabrina asks Alice, and Alice says, "Yeah, I think so too...it just ignored Victreebel considering that Ice and Psychic are super effective against it."
"Hahaha!" Lorelei chases after them as she takes out a bound Horsea. "Slowbro brought me this little present just now. Perhaps something of yours?"
"Green's Horsea!" Alice gasps.
"I'd like to thank you for getting in my way last time. If you want this back safely, come over here. If not..."
Green wants to save Horsea, and Sabrina yells, "No! It's a trick!"
But it is too late, Jynx uses Pound as it hits Green, the shock waves also hit Alice and Sabrina as they are sent flying to the air and land on the ground hard. Alice and Sabrina manage to stay still, but Green has seemingly fainted.
"Great, she faints, now it's up to the two of us..." Sabrina says.
"The biggest problem is the handcuffs that bound us together." Alice says. "We have to steal those ice dolls from Lorelei."
Lorelei, Jynx, and Cloyster manage to chase up to them as Jynx aims for them, Sabrina has Venomoth attack the dolls in Cloyster's body, but Cloyster uses Withdraw to block it.
"Victreebel! Use Leaf Storm!" Alice yells as she helps Sabrina to attack Closyter.
"Ha ha ha! Poor things. So intent on stealing my dolls. But what burden all that extra weight must be." Lorelei taunts.
Sabrina and Alice are looking Green as they click their tongue. Alice says, "Vine Whip!"
Victreebel tries to attack, and Lorelei says, "I tell you, it's no use. Cloyster! Withdraw again!"
But suddenly, Cloyster falls to the ground, and then Lorelei realizes what happened. "Mega Drain! You made it look like a repetition of the same attack...when in fact you were draining our energy..."
Alice says, "Looks like our teamwork is still good." Sabrina can only nod in agreement.
Now Bill and Lt. Surge are walking on the road, as Bill mutters, "Ooh...what a day this has turned out to be..."
"Did you say something?" Lt. Surge suddenly stares at Bil, who quickly replies, "Nothing!"
"I don't care which one of you four it is!" Lt. Surge yells in front of them. "Just come on out! You can't get away with attacking my Vermilion City! We were already planning on dealing with the Elite Four in Vermilion, you know."
"What?" Bill is confused.
"We were going to lure them out with a rumor that...the One they were looking for...was in Vermilion City. The takeover of the S.S Anne by our officers was in preparation for that. Unfortunately...that Ash Ketchum, Alice, and Yellow made quite a mess of things!"
"Hey! I didn't know a thing about it!" Bill retorts.
Just then, Lt. Surge stops, and Bill asks, "Is something wrong?"
"Could be...take a look!" Lt. Surge says as Bill notices the pond in front of them. "That is a big pond...we're gonna have to get across it somehow..."
He starts to jump on the rocks, and Bill follows suit, only for the rocks to shake as Bill falls to the pond.
"Magikarp!" Bill sends out the Pokemon as it uses Splash to get out of the liquid. "This isn't water...what...what the heck is this? I mean...that thing on the bottom is clear, but it sure ain't water. It's a lot more viscous...and if this guy didn't have a Splash attack, I'd been a goner."
"That's not all, take a look at your shoes and pant cuff." Lt. Surge says as Bill notices that some parts of the clothing are melted.
"It's like Victreebel's slobber. One thing's for sure...if we fall into this, it's over!" Lt. Surge says.
"Indeed." Just then, they hear a voice. "But to win this battle, you must cross it. You must be first to traverse this extreme battleground!"
The voice comes from Burno, who is standing in front of them. Lt. Surge looks around and says, "This stone bridge is an Onix...which means, you're Burno the Elite Four."
"I am." Burno says. "This living bridge moves erratically. Fall, and you will land in a terrible sort of mucus...from which escape is impossible. Cross before me, and victory is yours."
"But that Onix is your Pokemon! You got us at a complete disadvantage." Bill says, but Burno shakes his head. "No. This is a wild Onix. My position is the same as yours. One small misjudgment and I too will die."
"You'd better not be lying about that." Lt. Surge says. Bill is still hesitating and he asks, "Why to go to this extreme?"
"Ha. It is only in the extreme that a man is truly tested. It is only the extreme that makes my blood run hot!" Burno replies.
"I sympathize, Burno! I am Lt. Surge! Gym leader of Vermilion City! I accept your challenge!" Lt. Surge says as he sends out his Electabuzz to battle Burno.
"I just hope that everyone is fine..." Yellow says to her brother, as they are walking on the road alongside Blaine.
"Don't worry. I'm sure they'll be fine." Ash says.
Pika is also feeling unease, as Pikachu is trying to calm it down. "Pika! What's the matter? I understand that being on the enemy's island makes you uneasy, but..."
Blaine is in deep thoughts as he says, "Yellow, can I take a look at Red's Pokedex?"
Yellow nods as she gives the Pokedex to Blaine, and Ash asks, "So what are you going to do with it?"
"I told you about the new command, Pikachu Emotion Mode, that Professor Oak just put in, right?" Blaine asks, and the other two nod.
"I have not been able to use the command very well...and since I can communicate with Pokemon much better on my own, I haven't..." Yellow says.
"Woah!" Blaine is shocked as Ash rushes to see what's going on. "These levels are off the charts!"
"I sense that Pika is on the verge of remembering something important...but I am not able to read its thoughts clearly..."
Ash says, "Come to think of it...Blaine, we found out from that Super Nerd that Red's battle was on Mt. Moon. Pika must have known that already, right? Since it was actually there. So why, if Pika's leading us to Red, why didn't it take us there?"
Blaine says, "I have been thinking about this...I think that it didn't choose not to take you there...but that it couldn't."
"What do you mean?" Yellow asks.
"Try this on. When Pikachu was separated from Red, it sustained incredible injury. Physically and emotionally. Possibly including a loss of memory."
Pikachu is checking out Pika, as he also shows a scar on the ear. "That scar that doesn't seem to heal...maybe there's a psychological scar too..."
"Is that true?" Ash asks Pika, but before he can say anything, they notice Bill and Lt. Surge fighting Burno. Yellow wants to help them, but she seems to slam herself into something.
"It seems like we're being blocked by something..." Ash says as he yells Bill and Lt. Surge's name, but they can't hear them.
"We can see them from this side...but I don't think they can see or hear us..." Blaine says. "It's almost like a magic mirror."
They see that Electabuzz and Vulpix are using Thunder Shock and Flamethrower at the same thing, but Burno manages to dodge the attack.
"He's just testing us...not bringing out his Pokemon yet...but knowing him, it'll probably be a Ground or Rock Type."
"And that means we don't stand a chance against him." Bill says.
Lt. Surge turns to Bill and says, "Hey! You're a college boy, right? You think of a strategy!"
"They don't teach you this in college!" Bill retorts.
"I will not use Onix in this battle." Burno says. "I don't like fighting battles in which the victory is by Pokemon alone."
Lt. Surge realizes something as he sees the Pokeballs in Burno's hands. "Wait...Burno's not just a master of Ground and Rock..."
Bruno sends out three Pokemon, which are Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Machamp. Burno says, "Indeed! Punch, Kick, and Chop. I am also a master of Martial Arts! Hitmonlee! Hitmonchan! Get them!"
Bruno's Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan charge forward, as do Lt. Surge's Electabuzz and Bill's Vulpix. Vulpix and Electabuzz shove Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, who land on their feet on the Onix bridge. Hitmonchan unleashes a barrage of Comet Punches, and Hitmonlee attacks with a powerful Rolling Kick.
"Oh no...they're gonna fall..." Bill says after seeing how Electabuzz and Vulpix are hanging on the side of Onix.
"Bill! Lt. Surge!" Yellow yells.
"They can't last much longer! We must help them." Ash says as both Pikachu step forward. Blaine says, "You're right."
Blaine also sends out Rapidash, as they all use Fire Spin and Thunderbolt at the same time. Bruno notices the wall and he says, "Someone is in there! But it will take great power to breach that wall!"
Not even a dent appears on the wall, and they hear Bruno's voice. "You on the other side of the barrier! Listen well! I tolerate no interference in this battle! Depart with haste!"
"As if we will!" Ash says as they continue to attack, and Bruno is now angry as he has Onix bind the three of them.
"Remember this. Bruno lives for battle...and detests nothing more than an interruption!" Bruno says.
Lt. Surge notices what Bruno is doing, and he says, "Hey...did you hear that? Sounds like there's somebody around here..."
"Not like we've got a chance in heck of getting help from them..." Bill mutters.
"Seeing as how he's yelling at them to keep clear, I'm guessing they can hear us...but we can't hear them." Lt. Surge says.
"Probably the way this place was set up all along...places for others to look in on the battle but not help...the ultimate battle arena." Bill comments.
"This guy is one serious fighter..." Lt. Surge agrees, as they are also concerned their Pokemon.
"Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan are keeping your Pokemon company. Who will keep my Mchamp busy? Come! Send as many as you like!" Bruno says.
Lt. Surge notices a blink at the belt of Machamp, and he says, "Hey look...that Machamp's wearing a Machoke belt...could be it's only just evolved. Hey! What else do you have boy?"
Bill takes out a Pokeball and says, "This is the only one I have with high enough power levels!"
"Perfect, use that and..." Lt. Surge whispers at Bill, and he agrees with the plan. As Machamp charges at them, Lt. Surge and Bill decide to lure him away.
"What? Running away?" Bruno is surprised at the sudden action.
"Bet you can't catch us!" Lt. Surge replies. But as they run, they immediately reach a dead end, but unknown to them, they manage to drop two Pokeballs as Bruno and Machamp also run past them without noticing.
"You can run no further. I give no quarter to cowards. You may lack the courage to fight...but it matters not at all."
"And what would we fight you...since we don't have our Pokemon?" Lt. Surge says, which shocks Bruno.
Next to Machamp, two hidden Poké Balls open, and Bill's Exeggcute and Lt. Surge's Electrode come out. Exeggcute uses Egg Bomb and Barrage to shoot out floating groups of eggs. Then, Electrode uses Self-Destruct to make the groups of eggs explode, which causes the Onix to thrash in pain, sending Bruno, Machamp, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Bill, Exeggcute, Vulpix, Lt. Surge, and Electrode down.
"This plan of yous... doesn't it mean we'll fall too?" Bill asks.
"Don't worry about that! I have Pokemon in place for this phase too!" Lt. Surge says.
Four Magneton appear and stop Lt. Surge, Bill, and their Pokémon from falling by creating a magnetic pyramid around them, which Lt. Surge is hanging on a Magneton.
"Now give me a hand, I'm coming up." Lt. Surge says as he tries to get into the pyramid. Bill is looking at the acid and mutters, "If Bruno fell into that...he couldn't have survived..."
And here is the new chapter, as you can see, the battle with Lorelei and Bruno also begins, and I hope you like this chapter.
