Fire Passion Part 1
After a few days, Ash, Lillie, and Alice are on their quest to destroy Team Rocket and stop their ambitions, when they hear that Team Rocket is attacking Charicific Valley, Ash's Charizard is in rage as they quickly rush towards the location.
"Ash, you have arrived." Liza says to Ash, who nods and says, "We're here to help, Charizard, use your Rock Slide!"
Charizard growls and then it goes for the attack, which defeats a lot of Team Rocket's Pokemon. The main culprit of the attack is no other than Kiawe, one of the people that stole his Pokemon. "Well if it isn't Ash Ketchum, it sure has been a while." Kiawe says.
"Shut up, Kiawe. I never thought that you would side with Team Rocket...not to mention how you tried to attack Lana, Sophocles, and Lillie as well!" Ash says in anger.
"They are fools if they side with you. Team Rocket has provided us with a lot of things, and we are not going to let you ruin it. Charizard! Show him your power!"
Both Charizard is using Flamethrower at the same time, and they are equal power. Alice says, "We are not going to stay by the sidelines."
"Especially with the ones who killed my family." Both of them send out Lycanroc and Toucannon. Toucannon is having its beak heat up so it goes for the Beak Blast, which hurts the Grass Type Pokemon from Team Rocket grunts, as for Lillie, she has been using both her Pokemon and her brother's a lot, as she knows how Lycanroc battles and goes for Stone Edge, which deals a lot from Fire Type Pokemon.
Ash is still fighting Kiawe, as he sees that Kiawe is using Mega Evolution on Charizard, making it Mega Charizard X. Ash says, "So that is what you mean the boss of Team Rocket provides you a lot of things..."
"And you're going to lose, Ketchum. Use Dragon Claw!" Charizard slams its claw at Ash's Charizard, causing it to groan in pain. Ash says, "If you think you're going to use Mega Evolution, then I'll show you something that you wouldn't be able to do."
Just then, much to everyone's horror, Ash Gigantamaxed his Charizard. Arceus has changed his Dynamax Band into a special device that can activate Dynamax or Gigantmax without in the Power Spot, but the problem is that they would be weaker than in the Power Spot. The reason is that they don't want to accidentally set up a Fire sea or other things.
"What...how..." Kiawe gasps in shock at how Charizard has become a giant. Ash says, "Surprised, you should be. Now taste the power of G-Max Wildfire.
Gigantamax Charizard's fiery wings glow bright red and yellow. It then fires a giant bird-shaped flame from its back at Kiawe's Charizard. Even if the move is blocked, the bird-shaped flame will repeatedly swoop down and strike the opponent, covering them in fire and dealing additional damage, and Kiawe's Charizard is eventually being defeated by the repeated Fire Spin.
"You are just lucky, retreat for now!" Kiawe yells as they leave with the helicopter. Ash, Lillie, and Alice are frustrated that they retreated, but they know that they will be encountered again.
Liza says, "That sure is amazing, Ash. But what happened to your Charizard? I mean...he suddenly becomes a giant?"
"That is Gigantamax Charizard, an evolved form of Dynamax, which is a special technique in the Galar Region that requires this Dynamax Band." Ash shows the ring on his arm.
"I see. That sure is cool, thank you for saving the valley." Liza says, "Your Charizard sure is very strong now it is been with you."
"Well, he did learn a lot when he had his time here." Ash says as they talked a little, and after that, they decide to return as Alice asks, "I want to ask, how did you know about this place to train Charizard?"
"Well, when we are on our journey, my Charizard wants to become stronger as we came to this place. At first, Charizard was not as strong as now, and he has been forbidden to enter. But he never gave up and he is given the choice, to stay at the valley, or continue to travel with us." Ash says.
"Let me guess, you had Charizard stayed there for training, is that right?" Lillie asks.
"You're right. I did say some mean things to make him stay...but I am not regretting it. After letting him stay at the valley, he has become so strong that he is capable of defeating even a Legendary Pokemon like Articuno."
"Seriously?" Lillie and Alice exclaim in shock, and Ash just winces.
"Since we are trying to do our Fire Type disguises, I think we should go to Kanto to get some Fire Type Pokemon, don't you think?" Ash asks. "I have Charizard and Infernape with me. What about you, Alice?"
"Well, you gave me Torkoal...and that's it." Alice says.
"Incineroar will be good in the Dark Type team, and Talonflame will be in Flying Type. We still need to track down my other Fire Type Pokemon, like Quilava and Pignite. I just hope they are fine..."
"I'm sure they will be fine." Lillie says. "Alice, what do you want for your Kanto Fire Type Pokemon? The choices are Charizard, Ninetales, Arcanine, Rapidash, Magmar, and Flareon."
"Ash already has a Charizard, so that will be sitting out, for Ninetales, I prefer Alolan Ninetales over Kantonian. The same goes with Rapidash, I like Galarian."
"Well, it sure is weird that both Ninetales and Rapidash have different forms in different regions. And not to mention both of them are Fairy-Type in their respective forms."
"I guess you're right about that." Lillie shrugs. "Then I guess you are going to get an Arcanine instead?"
"Arcanine is very strong, I have to admit that. Maybe it will be a good opportunity to train one." Alice says with a nod.
They decide to go to Saffron City, as they find that Growlithe usually lives on Route 7 or Route 8. Alice asks, "So Route 7 or Route 8? Where are we going, Ash?"
"I think we should go to Route 7, that way we can just get to Celadon Department Store to purchase a Fire Stone." Ash says as the two girls just nod.
As Alice and Meowth are searching for a Growlithe, Ash decides to sit beside Lillie and he says, "Lillie, we need to talk a little, is that fine for you?"
Lillie nods and asks, "What do you want to talk about?"
"It has been a month since you lost your family, I know I shouldn't ask about this, but are you really fine?" Ash asks.
Lillie sighs and says, "To be honest, I am still depressed about it...as I can't believe Mallow and Kiawe would do that to me...they almost did the same thing to Lana and Sophocles as well..."
"Yeah, what they did is unforgivable. But then again, they joined Team Rocket of their free will, and I know about Team Rocket as they would do anything to get what they want. That's for sure."
Lillie says, "But I really enjoy being your sister, to me, you are much like my brother, Gladion. I am sure that all of his Pokemon are thinking the same."
"Yeah...the only problem is that I still can't smile..." Ash frowns.
"Ash, don't be so disappointed in yourself. I am sure you'll find your smile one day." Lillie says as Ash nods.
Alice comes back and she says, "Ash, Lillie. Look what I got!"
Ash and Lillie notice an Eevee and a Growlithe following Alice. Lillie says, "Nice one, Alice. You got a Growlithe. But how did you find an Eevee? They usually don't live close by."
"Well, it is an interesting story." Alice sighs. "When I found the Growlithe pack, I played the flute to calm them down, and I manage to befriend this little one, who really likes the tune I was playing."
"And what about Eevee?" Lillie asks.
"When we are going back, we find this Eevee wondering around, it seems that it is lost. At first, I thought that he has a trainer, but it turns out that he is wild, and he has nowhere to go. Growlithe and Eevee have become friends and Alice thinks that maybe she should also get a Flareon." Meowth says.
"I see." Ash says, "Then you need two Fire Stones instead of one."
"What about you guys? What have you been doing when I was gone?" Alice asks while slightly raising her eyebrow.
"Well, I was still concerned about Lillie considering that it has been a month since she loses her original family. All three of us have wounds carved into our hearts and we are still repairing them, but it is not that easy as the wounds are so deep.
"I know what you mean." Alice says with sympathy. "That's why we are on this journey so that we can stop Team Rocket as well as healing our wounds."
"You're right." Ash says.
After getting to Celadon Department Store, they manage to purchase two Fire Stones, and they use them on Eevee and Growlithe, making them evolve into Flareon and Arcanine.
"Now that's done...what should we do next?" Lillie asks Alice, who just recalls her Pokemon into the Pokeballs.
Ash says, "I think it is time for me to get some Fire Type Pokemon. And I am going to search for my Quilava first."
"Quilava. That is a Pokemon from Johto, right? But do you know where it is?" Alice asks.
Ash says, "I am not sure." He turns to Arceus, who is still invisible. "Arceus, do you know where my Quilava is?"
"Your Quilava, or should I say Typhlosion right now, is taken by a trainer who purchased it from Team Rocket." Arceus says. "From what I have seen through my vision...the trainer is actually a person that admires you."
"Admires me?" Ash asks. "I mean...am I really that famous?"
"Come on, Ash. You won the whole Alola League." Alice rolls his eyes. "But there is still a problem. The trainer who purchased Typhlosion...what kind of person is he or she? Did he or she abuse it?"
Arceus shakes her head and says, "Quite the opposite, she has been taking good care of it, she believes that you would come to visit and she promises that she'll return Typhlosion to you."
"If that's the case...then I have to know this person, right? Where does she live? Maybe we should pay her a visit."
"She lives in Mahogany Town, and you're right, you know her and she knows you personally." Arceus says.
"Wait for a minute, you have been saying that the person is a she...does that mean..." Lillie and Alice turn to Ash, who shrugs and says, "Why are you looking at me like this? I don't know I have fans, and you're starting to doubt me of doing something rude?"
Alice says, "But it is suspicious...what if that girl tried to do something like 'I'll return your Pokemon only if you promise me with a date' or something else?"
Ash sighs and says, "I think you are overreacting...anyway, let's go to Mahogany Town and let's see who this person is.
