Prologue 3

Right now Ash and his family are in the Silkan City, it is the home of the first gym in the Sevestar Region, it is located in the north of Otem Town, with Route 1 and Plain Plains in the middle of the two urban areas. The gym is located inside of the famous Silkan Library, which is a place where they can find a lot of books to read.

Ash's father is going to battle against the gym leader, but it won't be soon as they have to chat a while, and it causes Ash and the others to have a lot of free time to look around the place for books to read. Ash decides to look for books on the second floor, as he walks around, he didn't pay attention to the others as he is just looking at the bookshelves, therefore, he bumps into a boy, and they both fall.

"Ouch!" the boy that Ash bumps into is now on the ground with books scatters on the floor. The boy has black hair, a blue jacket with aqua blue undershirt inside, pale shorts and blue sneakers.

"I'm sorry." Ash apologizes to the boy as he quickly helps him pick up the books that are scattered on the floor.

"It's fine. I should be the one apologizing since I got too many books in my hands." He also picks up some of his books.

After picking the last book, the boy reaches out to Ash and shakes hands with him. "My name is Nate, and I'm from Unova."

Ash says, "I'm Ash Ketchum, and I'm Sevestar born."

"Wait, you are from the Ketchum family?" Nate gasps, "It is nice to meet you."

"Same here. So what brings you to Sevestar?" Ash asks.

"My father is the leader of Team Plasma, they are doing a mission in Resout Town, which is passing Bugger Forest from here." Nate says.

"Team Plasma? I heard that they are a group from Unova that liberates Pokemon from abusive trainers. That sounds interesting."

"It does. And since my father is working, my sister and I decide to stay here and read some books, we love reading after all."

"I agree. Reading makes you learn more." Ash says, remembering Pichu and he introduces the mouse Pokemon to him. "This is my partner Pichu."

Pichu just nuzzles at Nate's arm as Ash is picking up the last book on the ground. He gasps after seeing the cover of the book. "Hey, wait a second...This is the book I'm looking for! Can I borrow it?"

Nate notices that the book is called Legends of Pokemon, he was about to borrow the book as well, but seeing how Ash is so determined to read it, he can only agree as he asks, "You can borrow it first, but why do you want to read this book?"

Ash says, "Well, I heard a lot of stories from Professor Pine, you know, the Professor that lived on the other side of the road from our castle."

"Oh yeah, I heard that he has done a lot of achievements along with Professor Oak." Nate says. "I guess he didn't know some of the stories and you want to read it yourself?"

"You got it right, Nate." Ash says with a smile.

At the same time, Lillie is trying to find Ash on the first floor, until she bumps into a girl with brown hair, the girl is wearing a white shirt with aqua blue sleeves, and there is a pink Pokeball pattern on it. She also wears a yellow skirt with black pants underneath.

"Sorry to bump into you." The girl says. "My name is Rosa."

"It's fine, no harm is done." Lillie shakes her hand, "And my name is Lillie."

"Nice to meet you, so what are you doing here?" Rosa asks.

"I come here with my friends' family since my friend's father is having a battle with the Gym Leader of this city." Lillie says.

"Oh? So his father is a Challenger? I have a brother and he is also here. We like to read books, that's why we are here when our father is out on a mission." Rosa says.

"That's cool." Lillie says. "So where is your brother?"

"He must be on the second floor, maybe your friend is also there as well." Rosa says as they decide to go upstairs to check it out. And much to their delight, the two of them are actually reading the same book together.

"Nate, there you are." Rosa says as they go greet them.

"Ash, I have been trying to find you." Lillie says.

"Sorry, but let me introduce you to my new friend." Ash says.

After they all introduce themselves, Ash, Lillie, Nate, and Rosa get to know each other. Once they talk a little, Ash turns to Lillie and asks, "So Lillie, what's up?"

"Ash, it is time. Adam is going to battle the gym leader." Lillie says, and it causes both Ash and Nate to get excited.

"What? A battle with the Champion against the Gym Leader? Can I watch it too?" Nate says.

"I want to watch it as well." Rosa says. "We should go now or else we are going to miss it."

The four of them rush to the battle area on the third floor. And much to their dismay, the battle has already begun, but they didn't miss too much as they see Adam using Snorlax while the Gym Leader is commanding his Heliolisk.

"Snorlax! Are you ready?" Adam asks his Pokemon, who nods and says, "Yes, master."

Adam starts to make a Z pose, and the Snorlax is doing the same, after the pose is stopped, the glow on Adam's wrist starts to shoot towards Snorlax, causing him to be surrounded by a special light.

"Use Pulverizing Pancake!" Snorlax runs so fast and slams on Heliolisk, causing him to faint.

"Heliolisk is unable to battle! Snorlax wins." The referee announces.

The Gym Leader recalls Heliolisk with a sigh and he says, "Nice battle, Adam."

"Your Heliolisk is also good." Adam gives a Pokebean to Snorlax, who happily eats it.

"Dad won!" Ash cheers. "I can't wait to become a trainer, so I can be as strong as Dad."

"Same here, and I am not going to lose to you as well." Lillie says as they chuckle.

Then Ash and Lillie play together with Nate and Rosa, they mostly discuss some books and stories until the day is over. And eventually, their father comes back to the castle as he is going to bring Nate and Rosa back home.

"I hope we can come back and play together again." Nate says.

"Me too." Ash says, and then they all bid farewell as Nate and Rosa leave with their father.

Aurora gets tickets to the Pokemon Flying Race held in Skyhigh City, Ash, Gina, Insey, Flora, Oscar, and Lillie go there with Adam to watch on the stands. Adam is also asked to participate in the race, so he uses Charizard, Salamence, and Archeops.

"Lillie, look at so many teams in the race. Which team do you choose?" Insey says.

"I think the team with Talonflame, Unfezant, and Falcosky can win since they are speedy Pokemon. What about you, Ash?" Lillie asks.

"I'll support Dad! He is the best and I am sure that nobody will be able to win against him." Ash cheers.

"Hey guys!" They turn around and see a boy with blue hair, grey eyes, a grey vest, and black pants walking towards them, along with a girl with turquoise-colored hair and blue eyes, who is wearing a plain aqua-themed dress.

"East! Reisa! It's good to see you again!" Flora greets the two, as both East and Reisa are their good friends from the Hoenn Region.

"It's great to see you all again." Reisa says. "East is fond of these kinds of races, so that's why our parents bring us here."

"Uncle Wallace and Aunt Nessa are here as well? This is amazing!" Lillie says.

Oscar says, "That sure is amazing. And look! The race is starting!"

The children are now focusing on the race as they are cheering for Adam, who is using Charizard, Dragonite, and Aerodactyl to race against others. With their speed and endurance, it is no wonder that Adam wins first place.

"All right! Dad won!" Ash hugs Lillie and jumps in joy, the action causes her to blush a little.

"Your dad really is something." East says with a smile.

"Of course, he is the Champion." Insey said proudly.

"Our Dad could be the Champion if it wasn't for the fact that he wants to stay at Sootopolis as a Gym Leader..." Reisa mutters.

Once they go back to the castle, they get to greet Wallace and Nessa as both of them are still chatting with Aurora. Ash also chats a lot with East, they both debate about which flying type is the best. Lillie also joins in the debate, she wins by analyzing the Yveltal, its Oblivion Wing attack causes the others to decide that this Pokemon is the best Flying Type Pokemon.

After a while, the family head to Oceablu City to visit Palmo, who is being the gym leader, Nessa also permits their son East and daughter Reisa to come along with them.

"What is a contest?" Lillie asks after seeing the posters on the wall.

"It is a special tournament which shows off the moves of Pokemon." Adam says.

Before he can say some more, Ash decides to interrupt his father and says, "Not only that, it consists of 2 rounds, the first is the appeal round, coordinators used one or two Pokemon to make a show using moves. The second phase is the battle round, trainers have five minutes to battle the opponent's Pokemon. When you show off a dazzling move, the opponent will lose points. Whoever has the most points wins."

"Wow! How do you know that much?" Trenor asks.

"Mom is the founder, Trenor, how could you forget?" Ash asks with a dumbfounded face.

"I forgot." Trenor rubs his head, Pichu sighs at his stupidity.

They also played at the beach. Lillie and Reisa sit in the sand while others go to play in the water.

"Lillie, I want to be a water master, do you think it is weird?"Reisa asks.

"It is not weird to think like that. There are so many things to explore, and people have different goals in their life. If that is what you want, just follow your dream." Lillie says

Reisa smiles. "Thanks."

Then water splashes on Lillie and Reisa's faces. They shake off the water and sees Ash and East.

"Don't just sit there! Come play with us!" East says as he sprays water on them. Ash also does the same, and Reisa just wipes it out like it is nothing and she yells back. "You are going to pay for this, Ashy! East!"

"Uh oh, I think she is mad at us..." Ash and East gulp as Reisa is charging towards them, as they start to run away from her as far as possible. Lillie just laughs, but then she looks at the sun and she starts to frown, even Reisa can find her dream to become a Water Type Master, Ash also wants to be a Pokemon Master, but what about herself? She starts to wonder, "What is my dream?"

I finished my third chapter, we introduced three of Ash's friends that are vital to my stories. In the old version, I made them cousins of Ash, but I decide against it as they are friends, which makes things easier. In the next chapter, I will also introduce more and I hope you like it.
