Kanto Part 3

That midnight, those who stayed indoors have already fallen asleep, but Ash and Lillie haven't. They quickly go out of their blue and white tents and walk to an area that no people nor Pokemon could find them. Ash and Lillie take out all of their Pokemon, and they are delighted that they aren't asleep yet.

"Guys, since Misty is now asleep. We can tell you a secret." Lillie says.

Pikachu, Sylveon, Spearow, and Ho-Oh already know what is the secret, but the other four Pokemon just looked confused. Ash and Lillie close their eyes and start to change their form into a Pokemon, which shocked the four newcomers.

"You…you are Arceus?" Pidgeotto exclaims in shock.

"Yes, I am. I was from Sevestar Region, whose champion is also an Arceus. In other words, my father." Ash says.

"And as you can see, I am a Mew, we can change into humans at our own free will, and we can also talk human as well." Lillie says. as

"That is so amazing..." Metapod says.

Ho-Oh says, "Ash is my creator and my father while Lillie is my mother, this is also the reason I joined them. All of you are lucky to let Ash capture you."

"Okay, now that we have no secrets, I want to say that the next gym is a Rock Type gym. All of you are either weak to Rock Type, or your moves don't do that much damage on Rock Type Pokemon. Lillie, as a Mew, knows a lot of moves, so she will be helping you learn some Steel moves like Steel Wing." Ash says.

Lillie says, "And Ho-oh, we want to apologize to you that we couldn't keep you outside more often. We are afraid that people like Team Rocket will take you away from us."

Ho-Oh gives him a sad look, "You are right, I am a Legendary Pokemon, and people will be dying to get me."

"But don't worry, I will use you once I am going to challenge the further gyms. Is that okay?" Ash asks as he pets the Pokemon.

"Sure. I will be waiting for battle with you." Ho-Oh says.

"Okay, now let's take a rest for now, or we won't be able to train tomorrow." Ash and Lillie recall all Pokemon except Pikachu and Sylveon, and then they go into the tent and rest up.

After a night of rest, the group continues to walk on the road until they find a Beedrill swarm. As they are fighting, Insey's two worm Pokemon evolve into Metapod and Kakuna. But both two Metapod and two Kakuna are kidnapped by the Beedrills.

"Hey! What's the big idea?" Ash yells in anger. "Give them back!"

As they chase after the Beedrills, they find that the four cocoon Pokemon are lying at the base of a tree, surrounded by many Kakuna.

"We have to be quiet not to wake up those Beedrill..." Ash says as they try to sneak into the place, just then, they hear a famous motto, Team Rocket trio is in front of them and they are speaking their motto loud, which causes Beedrill to wake up and dive-bomb at them.

"Now it is our chance!" Ash says as he, Insey, Flora, and Lillie roll underneath their attacks and reach their own cocoon Pokemon. Jessie and James attempt to take cover in their cardboard van, but some Weedle have begun to chew through it, and they run instead.

"We're sorry, Metapod, Kakuna...we should have been careful..." Ash says.

Misty notices the Beedrill coming back and she yells, "They're back!"

Just then, both Metapod and Kakuna leap forward and they start to evolve, with two Butterfree and two Beedrill in front of them.

Kanto Dex Entry No.12 Butterfree: The Butterfly Pokemon: Bug and Flying Type. It evolves from Metapod starting at level 10. In battle, it flaps its wings at high speed to release highly toxic dust into the air.

Kanto Dex Entry No.15 Beedrill: The Poison Bee Pokemon: Bug and Poison Type. It evolves from Kakuna starting at level 10. Flies at high speed and attacks using its large venomous stingers on its forelegs and tail.

"That's awesome, Butterfree, use Sleep Powder, and Beedrill, String Shot!" Ash says, both Pokemon use the attack to wrap the Beedrill and causing them to fall asleep, including Team Rocket. The group also use their chance to escape, rushing to Pewter City.

"That was close..." Misty sighs.

"I know. But it is a good thing that our Pokemon evolve." Ash says as he hugs Butterfree while Lillie hugs Beedrill.

Flora asks Misty, "So do you think you can accept Butterfree or Beedrill?"

"Butterfree is not that scary for me, but Beedrill...I am still scared of it." Misty says as they can only sigh.

In the outskirts of Pewter City, Ash notices a man sitting on a rock with stones in front of them. Ash asks, "What are you selling?"

The man says, "These are the stones I have found before I come back to this place. Do you want to buy some?"

Ash and Lillie look at the stones, but the giant rock catches their eyes. Ash says, "How much does this rock sell?"

Misty looks at Ash with annoyance, he asks, "Ash, that is only a giant piece of rock, why do you want to buy it?"

Insey says, "Misty, that is not only a giant piece of rock, there are fossils inside this stone."

The man looks at them with shock, then he laughs and says, "After sitting here for many hours, I finally found someone who knows the giant rock. How about I give you one for free?"

"Are you sure?" Ash and Lillie are surprised. "Wouldn't it be better that I pay for this?"

"It is fine, I would never find a person like you who is fond of this rock." The man says, and Ash and Lillie thank him and leave with the big rock. Once they arrive at the Pokemon Center, Ash and Lillie start to break the giant rock, and much to their delight, there are two fossils inside the rock.

"I knew it." Ash smiles and high five with Lillie. "A Dome Fossil and a Helix Fossil."

Flora says, "But still, the Fossil Revive Machine is in Cinnabar Island, so they can't be Pokemon yet..."

Ash says, "Don't worry." Ash then calls his Dad through the video phone, Adam agrees to help and he sends the two fossils to him. Not long after, Adam sends two Pokeballs back to them.

"There, I asked Dad to help me." Ash says.

"Good, I can't wait to see what Pokemon are inside." Insey says. As Ash tosses the two Pokeballs, appear from it are Omanyte and Kabuto.

Kanto Dex Entry No.138 Omanyte: The Spiral Pokemon: Rock and Water Type. Although long extinct, in rare cases, it can be genetically resurrected from fossils.

Kanto Dex Entry No.140 Kabuto: The Shellfish Pokemon: Rock and Water Type. A Pokémon that was resurrected from a fossil found in what was once the ocean floor eons ago.

"Wow, they are both Water Types." Misty says.

"Yeah, and they are so cool." Lillie says, but then the two Pokemon hug her leg, much to her surprise. It takes them a while to get them off Lillie.

After they are finished, Ash and the group decide to go to the gym. Misty asks, "Ash, are you sure you can handle the gym? The Gym is a Rock Type, are you going to use your new fossil Pokemon?

"That will be too painful for them considering that they are just reborn." Ash says. "I already have a plan, don't worry."

As they open the door, they find that the Gym is dark, and a man is standing in front of them.

"Are you a new challenger?" He walks towards him. "My name is Brock, and I am the gym leader here."

Ash said, "My name is Ash, I am here for the gym battle."

Brock looks at him and he sees his eyes, he asks, "How long have you become a trainer?"

Ash says, "I have been a trainer for several days, but I applied to the 20-gym League challenge and I already beat Mandy for the first badge."

"A 20-gym League Challenger, huh? I haven't seen a person like you for a while. How about this? You and I have a two-on-two battle. And my first Pokemon is Geodude."

Brock sends out his first Pokemon, and Ash says, "I'll go with Pidgeotto."

When the bird Pokemon is sent out, Brock says, "A Flying Type Pokemon on a Rock Gym? You must be either reckless or brave to do that."

"Type advantages aren't everything. What matters to me is the strategy and the moves." Ash replies.

"Interesting." Brock rubs his chin.

Geodude uses Sandstorm to make the field covered with sand, then Pidgeotto uses Agility to gain its speed.

"Use Rock Throw." Brock says as he throws a rock, but Pidgeotto manages to dodge the attack and uses Quick Attack, which doesn't seem to do a lot of damage.

Geodude uses Smack Down, trying to make Pidgeotto fall. Ash says, "Now use your chance to go with Steel Wing!"

Pidgeotto's wings glow silver and then it slashes through the rock, hitting Geodude and knocking it out.

"You showed a great strategy, I give you praise. But here is my strongest Pokemon. Onix!" Brock tosses the Pokemon out, and the rock snake Pokemon is roaring at Pidgeotto. And at the same time, Brock's siblings come to watch the battle as they appear beside Lillie, Insey, Flora, and Misty.

"Wow, that is a lot of silbings." Misty says as she looks around.

"Well, it is normal for us." Insey says, "Since we have also a lot of them as well."

"No way..." Misty is surprised.

Onix uses Bind to let Pidgeotto stuck by its body, Ash asks Pidgeotto to use Peck, but Onix binds her tighter, causing her to faint.

"Pidgeotto, you did your best." Ash recalls his Pokemon. "Pikachu, do you want to battle?"

"Yeah." Pikachu jumps onto the field, Sylveon says, "Go, Pikachu!"

Brock thinks, "He chose Pikachu...Although it can't hurt Onix since Electric doesn't work on Ground types, he proved that he could use a flying type to win a rock type. I can't hold back on this."

Onix starts with Rock Polish to increase its speed. Pikachu uses Brick Break to hit it, much to Brock's shock. Then Onix starts to bind Pikachu, only to be knocked by Iron Tail. Onix uses Gyro Ball on Pikachu, but before it is hit, Pikachu used Grass Knot to make it tripped over.

"Fighting, Steel and Grass moves...that is not a normal Pikachu..." Brock thinks.

Onix then uses Earthquake to Pikachu, but it uses Quick Attack to dodge and runs on Onix. Pikachu then uses Rain Dance to cause the rain, which weakens Onix, and then it is defeated by another Brick Break.

"Onix is unable to battle, Pikachu wins! Which means the victory goes to Ash Ketchum!" Brock's second brother, Forest, says.

Ash hugs his partner for his won, Sylveon also wraps around them with her ribbon.

"He won!" Lillie cheers with Insey and Flora.

"That is so awesome!" Insey says in agreement.

Brock's siblings suddenly crowd Ash and not letting go, they also yell at Ash for winning Brock, but they are scolded by Brock himself. "Stop that, he won the gym fair and square, and as a Gym Leader, there are sometimes that we will lose."

"But Brock, he hurt your Onix!" One of the sisters says, but Ash smile, and he gently puts them down.

"Ash, you won. Here is your Boulder Badge." Ash takes it and thanks to him.

"Apparently, I don't want to be a gym leader. My dream is to become a Pokemon Breeder. I really wanted to follow my dream, but I can't leave my siblings alone. Ash, can you promise me to fulfill my dream?"

Before Ash can say something, the man who sold rocks appears at the gateway. Ash says, "You are..."

Then the man takes off his mask and reveals to be Brock's father, Flint. He says, "Brock, I heard everything. Just go follow your dream. Your mother and I will take care of everything."

"Dad..." Brock hugs his father.

After telling his father about the things to do for the family, Brock decides to join Ash on his journey.

"Welcome to the team, Brock." Ash holds his hands. Brock smiles and says, "Thank you."

At outside, Brock also meets Misty, Flora, Insey, and Lillie, he asked if they are also traveling with Ash, they nod and Misty says that Ash offered her. Once the introductions are done, the group is leaving Pewter City.

The second chapter is finished. I am glad to introduce Brock and the gym battle. As I said, I will let Ash capture all the Pokemon, so I decide to give Ash the two fossil Pokemon now, and the next chapter will be Mt. Moon.
