A Day with Terror Part 2
As the next part of the teaching begins, Ash and Alice are taking them to Kanto Region. Ash says, "This place is the Lavender Tower's famous Pokemon Tower. The only Pokemon you can find inside are Gastly's evolution line and Cubone's evolution line."
Golly asks, "Brother, is it true that you can find real ghosts inside the Pokemon Tower? I mean...not the Pokemon, but the real ghosts?"
"Well, according to Dr. Fuji, there was a ghost of Marowak, who was killed by poachers for the skull to sell, and he would prevent anyone inside. But if you have a Silph Scope, you can turn them into the Pokemon and battle them."
"Silph Scope sounds interesting." Shadow says.
"And there is also a rumor known as Buried Alive." Alice says. "Even though it is not real, but rumor says that it lives on top of the Pokemon Tower and it will eat the trainers who lost to him."
"That is not true at all." Yuni says as they arrive at the top of Pokemon Tower.
"Of course it is not true. But Gastly evolution line is the only Pokemon line in the Kanto Region, so let's move on to Johto." Ash says as they leave the tower, not scared by the Ghost Type Pokemon trying to scare them.
They also get to Mt. Tensei to see Marshadow, as they see the move Spectral Thief.
As they get to Mt. Silver, Ash says, "This place is where Misdreavus usually live. It usually comes out at night because Ghosts are afraid of the light."
"I see...but Misdreavus doesn't have a scary story behind it, right? I mean, the Pokedex says that it likes to scare people to absorb their energy."
"That's true." Ash says. "But it is the only Ghost Type Pokemon found in the Johto Area."
Then they get to Hoenn as they get to find the Shedinja at Route 116, as they watch how Nincada evolves into Ninjask and Shedinja, and then they also go to Granite Cave to find Sableye.
After they are done, they get to Mt. Pyre, as Ash says, "This place is usually where Shuppet Evolution line and Duskull Evolution line are. Before Dusknoir is found, it is said that both Duskull and Shuppet are counterparts."
"I never know that, because it evolves at LV:37?" Shadow asks.
"Perhaps, but according to the stories, Shuppet and Banette are actually dolls that hold grudges against their former owners. As they were thrown away." Alice says. "As for Duskull and Dusclops, Dusclops' body is made of black void, nobody knows what is inside itself."
"And I don't think we want to know about that." Yuni says.
Now they are at Sinnoh Region, and they go to Valley Windworks. As they aren't finding any Pokemon, Shadow asks, "What are we looking here?"
"Since today is Tuesday, so this Pokemon won't be appearing here. I am talking about Drifloon. This is the place where it likes to gather, but that is only on Friday. If you want to find other Drifloon or Drifblim, I suggest you guys find them in other regions."
"Okay. I know that Quest Town has a lot of them." Golly says. "But this is the least scary one, right?"
"Yeah, but the only problem is that when it takes you to the air, nobody knows where it will take you." Yuni says.
"That's right." Ash says.
Then they go to Eterna Forest, Ash says, "And this is where you can find Misdreavus. They appear at night, but with the first Dusk Stone to be found in Sinnoh, it is why Mismagius is said to be found in Sinnoh instead of Johto."
"I know what you mean." Shadow says. "A lot of Pokedex do that."
And they get to Ash's other place to live, as Golly already knows that Ash owns 18 house. Ash takes them inside so they can interact with the television, which is where they can find Rotom.
Then they go to Route 209, as they find a Hallowed Tower. Alice says, "This is the Hallowed Tower, as you can see, you can do some mining in the underground to find an Odd Keystone. By placing it here, you can have your own Spiritomb." Ash says.
"How did you do that?" Golly asks. "I mean...how many souls are here? I thought that Spiritomb needs 108 souls."
"108 of course." Alice says, "But who knows how many souls gather here for hundreds of years."
Then they go to the snowy area of Route 216 and 217, where they find Snorunt. Ash tells them about Froslass and how Dawn Stone is also a stone found in Sinnoh and that is why Froslass is Sinnoh native.
"Froslass is also Alice's favorite Pokemon, right?" Golly asks, and Alice says, "Well, I like Froslass and Ninetales. But you can say so."
As they reach Sendoff Spring to the Turnback Cave, Ash says, "Much like other Ghost Type Pokemon. This is where you can find Duskull and Dusclops, with the Reaper Cloth here, you can trade with others to get Dusknoir."
"So it evolves using Trade, just like Gengar." Yuni says.
"You're right about that. There is also a reason why I bring you guys here, so we can show you the Legendary Pokemon: Giratina."
This causes them to get excited, as they find an entrance to the Distortion World. "What is going on with this place? I feel like we are in different gravity..."
"This is the Distortion World. It is said to be another universe or world parallel to the Pokémon world." Ash says.
As the Pokemon flying past, Ash smiles and waves at the Pokemon, "And this is the ruler of the place, Giratina."
"It looks so cool..." Shadow says in awe.
After Giratina agrees to give them a ride, Ash says, "I had saved this Pokemon from death by a mad scientist who wants to rule this world, it had a grudge with Dialga because it uses the Time Distortion to have it trapped in this place."
"Really? I never knew about that." Yuni says.
"Well, it is a long story. But Giratina can change forms when going into the Distortion World or in the Real World. But if you have a Griseous Orb, you can change its form as well." Ash says.
After showing the move Shadow Sneak, they bid farewell to the Legendary Pokemon as they head to Unova Region.
They are now in the Desert Resort as they find the Relic Castle underneath it. Ash says, "This is Relic Castle, a place where Yamask and Cofagrigus used to live."
As they see some passing by, Ash says, "Yamask is actually a soul who carries the mask of its human face. Sometimes they look at it and cry, because they want to continue living as a human."
"I can tell...no one really likes dying." Alice says. "As for Cofagrigus, it has been said that they swallow those who get too close and turn them into mummies. They like to eat gold nuggets."
"That was is not made-up, right?" Shadow asks.
"Trust me, when I came here for the first time, I met a ranger friend that told us if Cofagrigus swallow a person or a Pokemon, it will be heavy to move." Ash says as they leave the place.
They also check out Frillish in the nearby river, and then they get to Celestial Tower. "This is much like the Pokemon Tower of Kanto. It is where Litwick and Elgyem likes to live."
"Litwick shines a light that absorbs the life energy of people and Pokémon, which becomes the fuel that it burns." Alice says. "And Lampant and Chandelure can burn away a spirit by using the fire. Trust me, there is one time I was trapped between the gates of Spirit World because of them."
"Gates of the Spirit World? What does it feel like?" Golly asks. Ash says, "Just pure whiteness and nothing."
"Lame..." Golly mutters, then they also go to Dragonsprial Tower to see the Golett Evolution line. After that, they leave for Kalos.
In the Kalos Region, they go to Route 6 to see the Honedge evolution line, and they tell them how the spirit attached to the sword and how it is capable of hypnotizing others by holding the weapon.
And they arrive at Route 16, Ash says, "This is where we find Phantump Evolution Line and Pumpkaboo Evolution Line. This is also where the Gourgeist Festival is holding in October."
"Gourgeist Festival...that sounds cool." Yuni says.
"And both Pokemon are Ghost and Grass Type, they also trade to evolve." Golly says. "I remember that Trevenant can control trees at will. It will trap people who harm the forest, so they can never leave. Gourgeist enwraps its prey in its hairlike arms. It sings joyfully as it observes the suffering of its prey."
"That sounds terrifying, but it is a Ghost Type after all." Ash says.
Then they go to Dahara City as they get to see Hoopa, much like the ones who attended the Psychic Type class. After watching the Pokemon, they go to the Alola Region.
First, they go to the forest of Melemele to find the Decidueye evolution line, and then they get to Akala Island, they head to Wela Volcano Park to find Marowak, and then Hano Beach for the next Pokemon.
"For the Pokemon living here, it is Sandygast and Pallosand. Sandygast takes control of anyone who puts a hand in its mouth. And so it adds to the accumulation of its sand-mound body. As for Palossand, buried beneath the castle are masses of dried-up bones from those whose vitality it has drained." Ash says.
"That sounds terrifying, but I guess it is Pokemon nature." Alice says as they head to Ula'ula Island, and they get to the Thrifty Megamart, the place where the Ghost Type Trial of Alola is.
"For this place, it is where you can find Mimikyu. This Ghost and Fairy Type's actual appearance is unknown. A scholar who saw what was under its rag was overwhelmed by terror and died from the shock." Ash says.
"And it seems to hate Pikachu as well." Alice says as Pikachu shivers a little.
Then they get to Poni Island to find the Oricorio in Poni Meadows, and Ash says, "This is the Sensu Style. It is a Ghost Type after drinking the purple nectar of the place."
"And there are Fire, Electric and Psychic Type as well." Alice says.
As they get back to Seafolk Village, they find the Dhelmise, and Ash says, "The soul of seaweed adrift in the waves became reborn as this Pokémon. It maintains itself with new infusions of seabed detritus and seaweed."
"And I am surprised it is not Water or Steel Type." Golly says.
"And for now, we can show you the Legendary Pokemon." As they go to the Altar of Moon, they get to see Lunala and have it perform Moongeist Beam to them, they also go to Ultra Metropolis to see the Dawn Wings Form of Necrozma. And they also go to Ultra Carnival to see Blacephalon.
Now they are at Galar, and they go to Glimwood Tangle, and they see Sinistea and Polteageist.
"Sinistea is said to have been born when a lonely spirit possessed a cold, leftover cup of tea. While Polteageist lives in antique teapots. Most pots are forgeries, but on rare occasions, authentic work is found."
"So how can we find the antique form?" Golly asks, and Ash looks around the bottom of the Pokemon and finally find one. "This is antique form, if you want to evolve it, get a Chipped Pot instead."
As they all nod, they go back to the Wild Area as they are at Giant's Mirror. Ash says, "This is where we can find Galarian Corsola and Cursola. Because of the water pollution, the corals die and it becomes a Pokemon who absorbs other people's life force to live."
"That is so cruel." Yuni says.
Then they get to Route 6 for Galarian Yamask and Runerigus, telling them how to evolve them by walking underneath Dusty Bowl's giant structure with low HP, and they also go to Lake of Outrage to find Dreepy, Dragapult and Drakloak, the persuado-Legendary Pokemon.
"The final Pokemon in the Galar is Spectrier and Calyrex." Ash says as he calls out the Shadow Rider form Calyrex, as they are in awe at the move Astral Barrage. Calyrex also uses the Reins of Unity to defuse itself so that the others can ride Spectrier for fun.
Once they are done, Ash asks, "So what did you learn in this Ghost Type Class?"
"A lot of Ghost Type might have scary stories, but in truth, they are much friendlier and we shouldn't be so scared." Golly says.
"I agree." Shadow says, "And some Ghost Type Pokemon like to live in the Dark places, so we shouldn't force them out in the light."
"And we have to be careful if we want to train them. Who knows what they are going to do to you if you are careless." Yuni says.
"Good, and that is it for the class." Alice says as they all head back to the RPA High.
Here is a Ghost Type Chapter and this chapter sure is long. I hope you like it and the next chapter will be the International Police plot.
