Chapter 3 Team Alpha Encounter
The next day, Ash, Lillie, Ray, and Alice are now leaving the castle as they are going to the first city, Fornat City. Ash says, "Lillie, I think I should tell you, in Fantasy Region, you will need to have a full six-on-six battle if you want to get the badge. Right now you only have two Pokemon, right?"
"What should I do? I mean...if that's the case, I only have Snowy and Litten with me..." Lillie asks in a panic.
"Don't worry, I decide to give you four Pokemon as your presents." Lillie is delighted as Ash gives her a Pikachu, a Galarian Ponyta, a Budew, and a Riolu. Lillie gasps in surprise and she asks, "Are those Pokemon for me?"
"Of course, I learned that you are coming and I have been asking them so that they will join your party." Ash says.
Lillie hugs him as she is happy that Ash will go this far for her. Ray says, "But still, even though Ash manages to give you some Pokemon, you'll need to bond with them and even train with them."
"Of course." Lillie says. "I will definitely train them."
As they go into the forest, Ash turns to Ray and asks, "So Ray, I remember that you have added some new Pokemon inside the region, is that right?"
"Of course, but not only the Pokemon from the regions I have traveled, but I have also tried to search the Internet to find some new Pokemon for the regions. Believe me, it took me several weeks to find them all."
"Really?" Lillie asks in confusion, and Alice says, "That's true."
On their way, a Pokemon just pops out of the ground, which causes Alice to be surprised. "What the...what is that?"
Ray says, "This is a Pokemon known as Masgot. It is a Pokemon that can be found in Eidew Region. It is a Camouflage Pokemon."
"Camouflage, so that's why it looks just like a Bouffalant?" Alice asks in confusion.
"Well, it has a total of 18 forms, but you probably heard what I have said, I didn't put Sound Type Pokemon inside, so I only put 17 in here." Ray says.
They also check the Pokedex and they find that each form looks different. Fighting Type looks like a Heracross, Flying Type looks like a Braviary, Poison Type looks like a Beedrill, Ground Type looks like a Camerupt, Rock Type looks like a Tyranitar, Ghost Type looks like a Gengar, Steel Type looks like a Steelix, Fire Type looks like a Charizard, Water Type looks like a Blastoise, Grass Type looks like a Venusaur, Electric Type looks like an Ampharos, Psychic Type looks like an Alakazam, Ice Type looks like a Weavile, Dragon Type looks like a Dragonite, Dark Type looks like a Houndoom, and Fairy Type looks like a Granbull.
"Those sure are weird...but those in the middle are the real eyes, right?" Lillie asks.
Ash says, "That's correct."
As they continue forward, Lillie also notices a worm Pokemon that pops from the ground. Ash says, "That is a Gworm. Gworm are beloved by farmers for their ability to plow the fields for them. However, they may get careless and dig into underground aquifers, ruining the farmlands."
"It evolves into a Wormune, which spend most of their lives underground, and for the rare occasions where they are above ground, they coat themselves in the dirt as armor. It also evolves further into a Wormole. Wormole can create massive tunnels, even through mountainsides. Many caverns connecting routes and towns in Rikoto are thanks to these Pokémon." Alice adds.
"So Gworm is from the Rikoto Region..." Lillie says. "And it is a Bug and Ground Type...the only one I knew with the typing is Nincada and Masgot Camerupt form..."
"Yeah, I tried to add the diversity so that it will be great to see all of them." Ray says with a smile.
"Then I will want to see if I can find a Bug and Dragon, as well as Bug and Dark Type Pokemon." Lillie says, and Ash sighs, "Well, you really are serious about that..."
"Just like you as well, Ash." Alice says as both of them are blushing.
And with Lillie's delight, she manages to find a Bug and Dragon Type Pokemon, which is a Pokemon from Rikoto known as Dracofly. It evolved from Bugray, a Bug and Flying Type Pokemon. Bugray swarm humans who wander into the jungles, leaving bites that would remain itchy even after days. Repels specifically made to counter them are commodities in the tropics. And for Dracofly, they are coveted by bug fanatics as extremely difficult to find, let alone catch. Any trainer who catches one is considered a master of bugs by their peers.
"Master of bugs by their peers? Then it might be great to capture it." Lillie says as she wants Snowy to help her capture the Pokemon. With the type advantage, Snowy manages to defeat a Bugray and captures it. She asks, "So how do I evolve this Pokemon into a Dracofly? Training?"
Ray says, "You have to let it learn the move Twister. That's how you evolve it."
And the final Pokemon that is both Bug and Dark Type is a Pokemon called Darcula and Taraterror. Darcula have built up resistance towards Spidox venom from the competition; Not even a dose strong enough to take out human adults would have any effect on them. The gentle giants of Bug-types, Taraterror is often misunderstood for its fearsome appearance. Yet, despite their pleasant nature, they are merciless in battle.
But as they are walking around, they see some people rushing past them, and they are wearing white uniforms. Ash and Ray growl as he says, "Alice, protect Lillie no matter what."
Alice nods as Ash and Ray rush off, Lillie asks, "What are those people and why Ash and Ray are chasing after them?"
Alice says, "That is Team Alpha. Do you remember Ray came late to the castle yesterday? He was ambushed by those people."
"But what are they planning? Are they bad guys?" Lillie asks with concern.
"Their goal is similar to our old enemy, Team Meteor from the Reborn Region. This region is filled with energy from the 18 Infinity Gems. Each of them contains a special power, and we can't let them steal the gems." Alice says.
"18 Infinity Gems?" Lillie asks, "Does that mean there is one gem for each type?"
"And the worst is that the Bug Type Gem is located in this Fornat Forest...this isn't going to be good..." Alice says with a frown. "There is an old prophecy that I read: When one must use all 18 gems to fulfill the wishes, one must sacrifice the two hurting hearts..."
"Two hurting hearts? What does that even mean? And does that mean the gems can fulfill any wish that they want?" Lillie asks in surprise.
"That's correct." Alice says. "And trust me, Ash and Ray are not going to let that happen."
"But I want to help them...what if Ash is in danger..." Lillie mutters.
"You couldn't do anything because you are not strong enough to face them. Trust me, Ray and I suffered a lot when we are facing Team Meteor, and they are at the same strength, and considering that they are the remaining evil team in the world, Ash will be angry at me if I let you suffer their wrath."
"But..." Lillie says, and Alice sighs, "Please, Lillie. Ash will be safe. Ray is strong, and so is Ash."
"Fine..." Lillie says with a pout, but she is really concerned about Ash.
Ash and Ray are rushing towards the big tree in the forest, as it is where the Bug Gem is hiding. Ray says, "The Bug Gem is capable of wiping out the memory or showing the memory of what it has been. If Team Alpha used it on us, then we are going to be doomed."
"I know, that's why we have to get it first." Ash says.
And just as they expected, Team Alpha grunts recognize both of them as they try to stop them by using their Pokemon. Ash says, "Pikachu, use Thunderbolt on all of them!"
Pikachu fires the attack as the Pokemon are hit. Ray says, "I am not going to let you take all the spotlight, you know. Chordalux! Help me use Blinding Rush!"
A snake-like Pokemon appears and it charges at that all the Pokemon, as it deals a lot of damage, except for Fire Type Pokemon. Ash says, "Nice one, Ray."
Ray nods as they continue to go further into the tree hollow, as they see a girl standing in front of them. "Well if it isn't the Champion Ash and the top battler Ray."
"Ruby..." Ash growls, as he knows that the girl in front of them is one of the seven Rainbow Scientists of Team Alpha. "If you think you can just take the Bug Gem, then think again."
Ruby says, "If only I found the gem, I wouldn't have to stay here for too long. Tell me, where is the gem?"
"Like we will tell you." Ray says. "Chordalux, use Gamma Ray Burst!"
Sapphire takes out a Pokeball and says, "Beliaddon, use Foul Play!"
A giant red demon Pokemon appears in front of them, and it uses a Dark Type move on Chordalux, damaging the Pokemon a lot.
"Damn it...Fire and Dark is not a good opponent for us..." Ray says as he recalls the Pokemon. "But it is a good thing I can switch out my Pokemon. Go! Hydrogon! Use Aqua Tail!"
Ray sends out a Water Dragon Pokemon that looks similar to Dialga as it uses the tail to hit the opponent, Ruby says, "You won't be defeating me that easily."
While Ruby was distracted by Ray, Ash is now at the treetop as he picks up the glowing gem. But then he realizes the mistake as the whole tree is now gone, and Ruby already notices Ash.
"The gem! Give it to me!" Ruby yells as she has Beliaddon attack Ash instead, and Ray says, "Ash! Run!"
Ash says, "No, I have a better idea!" He reaches the gem and it shoots out the energy at Beliaddon, causing it to stop attacking as it is wondering where he is and what it is doing.
Ruby glares at them and says, "The Memory Gem...now my Beliaddon is getting amnesia..." She recalls the Pokemon and Ash says, "Now it is your turn, Ruby."
But before Ash can use the gem to wipe out her memory, Ruby sends out a Torkoal and telling it to use Smokescreen, when the smoke is cleared, Ruby is nowhere in sight.
"She got away!" Ray says, and Ash replies, "Let her go, we will get her next time."
"I guess so. But at least they didn't take the gem. But what happened to the tree we were in?" Ray asks.
"The tree is just a projection from the gem all this time." Ash says, "We should keep it with us so that Team Alpha won't get their hands on it."
"I agree with you, bro." Ash says as both he and Ray are going back to find Lillie and Alice.
And I'll end the chapter right here, in this chapter, I showed some of the Pokemon that I used in the fangames, as well as some Pokemon descriptions of the other games. Team Alpha is also the enemy in this story, as they will be trying to gather the gems that are once mentioned in my other story Love and Despair.
