Hello everyone, this is Raychiu here and I have a fangame story that I want to show you about. This story is actually from a new fangame called Pokemon Fantasy, and I also got permission from the creator to write a fanfic of his game.
Chapter 1 Fantasy Arrival
?: Still, I can't believe you are an actual prince...
On the ship sailing to the Fantasy Kingdom, a raven-haired boy and a blonde-haired girl are standing at the docks, chatting with each other. Their names are Ash and Lillie, Ash is from the Kanto Region, his dream is to become a Pokemon Master. Right now he has already won the World Champion and he is dating Lillie.
As for Lillie, she is a girl from the Alola Region. She comes from the Aether Family, which is famous for its Aether Foundation. At first, she is afraid of touching Pokemon, but after Ash's help, she conquers her fear. After Ash becomes the Alola Champion, the whole family is going on a journey to find Lillie's father, who goes missing. After finding him, she hears Ash becoming the World Champion and she goes to Galar to find him, and then they both are dating.
As for why they are going to the Fantasy Kingdom? A week ago, Ash and Lillie go back to Pallet Town, and they see a wizard who tells them that Ash is a prince and his mother's full name is Queen Delia Catherine, the Fourth. The monarch of the Fantasy Kingdom. He is asked by the Grand Wizard of the Fantasy Kingdom to go there as the place is where his mother might be.
Ash: (Sighs as he can't believe Lillie is by his side) I know, Lillie. But seriously, did you really need to come with me? What if you get hurt in the process?
Lillie: I know you're worried, Ash. But I want to come with you, I am curious about the Fantasy Kingdom as well.
Behind them is a wizard, the same one who has been asking Ash and Lillie to come with them.
Wizard: You two will have a great journey awaiting you in the Kingdom, that is for sure.
Ash: By the way, I haven't known your name, um...
Wizard: I'm Kwame from the Wizard's Tower. I am a wizard, though I am also something you called Professor outside of the region. I usually give out the three starter Pokemon to new trainers in the Fantasy Kingdom.
He takes out three Pokeballs, and there are Rowlet, Fennekin, and Oshawott, Ash is amazed that even the magical region would use scientific things like Pokeballs. The Fennekin is looking at Lillie, feeling that she might have a connection with her.
Wizard: Since you don't have a Fennekin, will you like to take care of this Pokemon?
Lillie: Are you sure? I mean...can we really take the Pokemon?
Wizard: Of course, I'm sure this Pokemon will be an excellent companion on your travels!
Lillie takes the Pokeball from the wizard and thanks her, then she recalls Fennekin into the Pokeball.
Ash: Can you tell us more about the Fantasy Kingdom? I mean I never knew that I am the prince and I should have known the Kingdom better.
Wizard: The Fantasy Kingdom is a place that doesn't have what you called Gyms, we have the monarch, which is your mother, and her four royal guards, which are similar to the Elite Four of your place.
Ash: Wow, my mom is the Champion, that sounds very awesome.
After talking for a while about the region, the announcement says that they are about to arrive at the Fantasy Region's Peasant Village. They prepare their stuff and they leave the ship.
Lillie: So what are we doing first? Kwame? Are we going to the castle first?
Wizard: The Grand Wizard has instructed me to tell you to meet him at the top of the Wizard's Tower. It's south of the Peasant village. As for me, since my work is done, I'm going back to my house. I'll see you soon if you come to visit.
Ash and Lillie are confused as the wizard just leaves them alone in a place that they have no idea about.
Ash: I guess we are going to do this all by ourselves...
Lillie: Maybe it is a test like what the others like to do.
Once they look around, they see two sorcerers sitting at a tree. The sorceress is acting just like Nurse Joy, she is healing the Pokemon using Potions and Elixers. And the sorcerer is casting a spell to create PC Boxes in the air to let the trainer see.
Ash: This place sure is magical...I wonder if we are capable of doing magical powers as well.
Lillie: I don't know, but we should find the Grand Wizard first. Kwame says that he is at the Wizard Tower, right? I think that might be it.
Lillie points at the tower as they head forward there, they also notice an ice block with the letter S on it, and it is currently blocking the way.
Man: These Ice blocks are so bizarre! Apparently, they are all over the place! But apparently, if you face it in a certain direction and touch it, it will melt!
Ash tries to touch the southern part of the ice, and much to his surprise, the ice just melts into a puddle of water and then disappears.
Ash: Wow...that's amazing...I don't know you can just do that.
Lillie: Indeed. That is very cool if you ask me.
After getting into the Wizard's Tower, they see a boy rushing towards them.
?: Hi! My name is Rick and I am here to absolutely see the Grand Wizard! He will be so impressed by my undeniable skills! You don't look very capable of training Pokemon!
Ash: (Feeling offended) Excuse me? What are you talking about?
Rick: I'm going to defeat you in battle, En garde!
Ash and Lillie really don't like the person in front of them, and they decide to battle the smug-looking boy. He is using an Oshawott, and Ash uses Rowlet to battle the boy.
Rick: Oshawott, Tackle that Rowlet!
Ash: Dodge it and then use Razor Leaf!
Rowlet uses its swift move to dodge the attack, and it just goes for the leaves and it immediately defeats the Pokemon.
Ash: Oops, looks like I got a one-hit KO. Now, who is the one that doesn't look very capable of training Pokemon?
Rick: This is a fix! (Recalls Oshawott) Oh. Well, I guess that wizard freak in the village gave you an overpowered Pokemon! It should be banned!
Lillie: (In rage) What are you talking about? Ash's Rowlet is not from Kwame, he has been with us ever since we're in the Alola Region!
Rick: Whatever! Who wants to impress these stupid wizards anyway?
Before Ash and Lillie can say anything, he just runs off.
Lillie: What a scaredy Meowth...I really don't like him.
Ash: I'm feeling the same way as well... That Rick person is making me want to strangle him...
Lillie: It's a good thing that we don't have to deal with him right now, I'm sure that the Grand Wizard really wants to see us.
As they get to the top of the tower, the wizard is standing in front of them in his own room. Apparently, he knows about their arrival and he has been waiting for them.
Grand Wizard: (Smiles) Ah! Ash and Lillie! There you are! I heard of your arrival here in the Kingdom. I'm the Grand Wizard of the Wizard's Tower.
Ash: (Shakes hands with the wizard) It's nice to meet you, Grand Wizard. I want to know if you have seen where my Mother went?
Grand Wizard: Ah, you mean the queen, right? Well, I know where she is, but I don't think it's time to tell you. It is decreed by the Wizard's Code that all youths must be given the right tools to support them on their safe travels. So, I'll give you a Starter Pack!
The Grand Wizard gives them an Orb and a Kingdom Map, along with 10 Pokeballs and 5 Potions, Lillie is confused with the orb since she has never seen it before.
Lillie: What is that?
Grand Wizard: That is our own Wizard Pokedex, it has recorded the Pokemon that can be seen in this Fantasy Kingdom. You might have seen all of them as we don't really have a native Pokemon.
Ash: That sounds cool, I mean, it will be helpful.
Grand Wizard: (Nods) These will allow you to grow stronger. Get to know the areas around Peasant Village at a decent pace. However, I did hear a fascinating tale about the Dragonslayer visiting Sage City, to the east. If I was a young adventurer like you, I would make my way there. He might tell you where your mother is.
Ash: I see, so I must find this Dragonslayer to know about my mother. Thank you, Grand Wizard.
The Grand Wizard just nods as Ash and Lillie leave the Wizard's Tower as they go to the Peasant Village. But as they look around the place, they can find three kinds of Pokemon, Rookidee, Hatenna, and Bidoof.
Ash: Since I only have Rowlet and Pikachu with me, I think I need to capture a new Pokemon, what about you, Lillie? Since you have Snowy and Fennekin only as well.
Lillie: You might be right about that. I think I'll capture the Hattena, I guess you are going to capture the Rookidee?
Ash: I won't mind since a Flying Type is better if I want to find missing Pokemon.
After that, they decide to go capture their own respective Pokemon, with Ash capturing a Rookidee with Pikachu's help, and Lillie capturing a Hattena with Snowy's help.
Ash: So Lillie, do you know where is Sage City?
Lillie: (Checks the map) There are three paths to go, the north is Toadstool Woods, which is unavailable for now. The west is Dark Forest North, which leads to a dead end. And the east is the Windmill Fields, that is where we need to go.
Ash: I see, but I will like to check out what Pokemon we can find in Dark Forest North.
Lillie: Good idea.
Then the two of them go back to Peasant Village, they also stock up some healing items and other useful tools at the market before heading to Dark Forest North.
In Dark Forest North, it is just a dead end with some wild Pokemon. There are Ekans, Spinarak, Bidoof, Zorua, Rookidee, and Impidimp in the area.
Ash: So Lillie, what do you want to capture in this place?
Lillie: I don't feel like capturing a Pokemon since I already had Hatenna with me. What about you?
Ash: (Sighs) I feel the same way as well, looks like there is nothing much to do here, let's go back to the Windmill Fields.
Lillie: You're right.
After training their Pokemon for a while, the two of them are now heading back to the Peasant Village and head east.
Here is the first chapter of this story, it is based on a fangame named Pokemon Fantasy. In this story, I made a poll and the winner is Ash and Lillie pairing, so that means this story is going to be that pairing. I have played and finished the game, and I don't want to put any spoilers in this story since it is amazing in my opinion. I hope you like the first chapter, and the next chapter will be meeting the Dragonslayer.
