Chapter 2 Wizard Battle
The Windmill Fields is filled with windmills, and Ash and Lillie are in awe at the sight of them spinning around. The yellow grasses on the ground also have some Pokemon like Skiddo, Cutiefly, Mareep, Rookidee, Bidoof, and even Wooloo. There are also some ranchers in the area as they are working together with Pokemon.
Ash: You know...I have just noticed that I only have one Electric Type Pokemon and that is Pikachu...
Lillie: You're right about that. Do you want to get another Electric Type Pokemon on your team?
Pikachu hears what Lillie said and he wants Ash to go for it, even though he is proud of being the only Electric Type on the team, but he was also tired because of it. He really wants another Electric Type friend, and Mareep seems to be a good choice.
Ash: Then Pikachu, if you can, I want you to help me with the Mareep.
Pikachu nods as he goes into battle. By using Thunderbolt, Mareep manages to notice them, and Pikachu starts to make friends with the Pokemon, eventually offering Ash to capture the Pokemon in the end.
After walking through the place, they arrive at Sage City, and a villager notices them and greets them.
Villager: A visitor! Please! Come into the square!
Ash and Lillie are confused as they follow the man, only to see a lot of people gathering around a man in a purple cape.
Villager: Oh mighty Dragonslayer! Are you okay?
Dragonslayer: (Pet's the villager's shoulder) 'Tis but a scratch! I shall be fine! But I have never seen energy like that before. That was truly...dark!
Villager: So you didn't manage to defeat the vicious Dragon-type beast atop Mt. Boon?
Dragonslayer: (Sighs) Alas, sadly not, oh villager! Every time I tried to knock it out, the dark force surrounding it protected it.
Ash and Lillie are now curious about the dark force that was mentioned, and the villagers are panicking.
Villager: So we're doomed! We must live in fear, alongside that terror!
Dragonslayer: (Notice the situation is out of hand, and he yells) Perhaps not! (Notices Ash and Lillie) Travelers! The mystic hue of the Dex Orb is undeniable! You are familiar with the Grand Wizard. He's the last hope of the villagers of Sage City, and you must consult his advice. Please do this for us.
Ash: You want us to find the Grand Wizard? But we are on a quest...
Dragonslayer: I beg of you. (Kneel)
Ash and Lillie see that they have no other choice, so they can just walk back to the Wizard's Tower, hoping to seek the Grand Wizard for advice.
After a long trek, they finally reach the Wizard's Tower and meet the Grand Wizard.
Grand Wizard: Ah! Back so soon?
Lillie: Grand Wizard, we arrived at Sage City, and the Dragonslayer wants your help, as there is a vicious Dragon Pokemon with dark energy surrounding it that he can't defeat.
Grand Wizard: (Surprised) Sorry? Dark energy surrounding a Dragon-type Pokemon? Why I was warned of this very thing not long ago!
Just then, the wizard leaves the room, much to Ash and Lillie's confusion. After waiting for a while, he comes back.
Ash: Grand Wizard? Where did you just go?
Grand Wizard: I have the very solution for this issue. A potion.
Ash+Lillie: A Potion? (Confused, as Potions just heal Pokemon)
Grand Wizard: (Nods) You only need to carry it with you, and the Dark energy will be weakened.
Ash: Good, so can you give it to us?
Grand Wizard: (Stops him by showing his palm forward) Of course I can't hand this out to any old, or in case new, adventurers! You must prove that you have real potential! I ask for a battle with me. Then you will prove yourself worthy of this potion. I will give you time to prepare.
Ash and Lillie are a little nervous, as they have to battle the Grand Wizard for the potion. But they know that they have to do this, as the Dragonslayer has the clue of where Ash's mother is.
Grand Wizard: Are you ready to prove yourselves worthy?
Ash+Lillie: You bet!
Grand Wizard: Then you'll face the might of the Wizard's Tower! (Throws two Pokeballs)
Ash and Lillie notice that the two Pokemon that the Grand Wizard sends out are Mareep and Wooloo, both of them were found at the Windmill Fields, so Ash goes with Pikachu while Lillie goes with Hatenna.
Ash: Pikachu, let's start with a Quick Attack!
Pikachu swiftly charges and slams itself towards Mareep, dealing some damage.
Lillie: Hatenna! Use Disarming Voice!
Hatenna shouts and the voice hits them like a bomb, but the wizard doesn't seem to be fazed.
Grand Wizard: If that's all you get, then I must say I am unimpressed. Wooloo, use Swagger, and Mareep, use Thunder Shock.
Wooloo goes with the attack as it hits Pikachu, raising its Attack stat but making it confused. As for Mareep, it shoots out electricity at Hatenna, causing it to take damage and also gets paralyzed.
Ash: This is bad, Pikachu, snap out of it!
Pikachu tries to fire Thunderbolt at Wooloo, but it misses and it accidentally hits Hatenna.
Lillie: Hatenna! Are you alright? (Hatenna nods at Lillie) Your health is low, quickly use Life Dew!
Hatenna uses the move to recover both Pikachu and herself. And Pikachu manages to snap out of confusion and goes for the Iron Tail, and Hatenna also goes for Confusion. Together, they finally knock out Mareep.
Grand Wizard: You managed to beat one of my Pokemon, but I still have one more Pokemon with me.
He sends out his third Pokemon, and that is a Cutiefly. It goes for Fairy Wind, which deals some damage to Pikachu and Hatenna at the same time. Hatenna can't dodge because of the paralysis, and it is defeated by the attack.
Lillie: You did a good job, Hatenna...
Ash: (Frowns) I'm sorry, if Pikachu didn't attack your Pokemon because of confusion, maybe it won't have to suffer...
Lillie: You don't need to blame yourself, Ash. We can still do this together. (Sends out Vulpix to the field) Snowy, use Icy Wind!
Snowy shoots out the cold wind as both the Grand Wizard's Pokemon are hit, getting their speed lowered by the attack as well.
Ash: Pikachu, we should also attack as well, use Electro Web as well!
Pikachu attacks with the attack as it traps both Pokemon, then Snowy delivers the final blow as she goes with Blizzard, knocking both Pokemon out of the battle.
Grand Wizard: An impressive feat indeed! (Recalls Cutiefly and Wooloo) You have defeated me well, and so I bestow this unto you!
Ash and Lillie each get a potion, and they notice that the potion is not the normal potion. It is a purple potion with some magic surrounding it.
Grand Wizard: I hope that I have placed my trust correctly. You have considerable potential. Maybe you could be the ones to right the wrongs of the Kingdom and even save the queen.
Ash: Wait, does that mean my mother went missing has something to do with this Dark Energy?
Grand Wizard: That's for you to find out.
Ash and Lillie frown as they just leave the tower without saying anything, they just want this thing to get over so they can find Ash's mother. Once they get back to Sage City, the Dragonslayer is there and he is glad to see them.
Dragonslayer: So how is it? Have you sought the Grand Wizard for a solution?
Lillie: We do, we have the potions for the Dark energy.
Dragonslayer: Good, the Dragon Pokemon is on top of Mt. Boon, I beg you to go there and stop the dragon.
Ash: But before we do that, I have some questions that I need to ask, do you know anything about my mother Delia?
Dragonslayer: (Gasps) As in Queen Delia Catherine the fourth? You are her son? (Ash nods and then Dragonslayer frowns) I heard that she has returned to the Kingdom not long ago, but she seems to be strange.
Lillie: What do you mean by that?
Dragonslayer shows them a mysterious hue, and it has a symbol on it.
Dragonslayer: These gates sprung up not long ago. We don't know how they got there, but we can't access it through unless we have the key, and the key was supposed to be in the Queen's hands. The symbol here is the symbol of the necromancer.
Ash: So my mother must have something happened to her, thank you for telling us about it. We'll try to stop the Dark Energy.
Dragonslayer nods as both Ash and Lillie are now heading up the mountain, seeing what the Dark Energy Pokemon is about. But before doing so, Ash uses his Rotom Phone to call Professor Oak, hoping to get one of his Pokemon back to the team, after thinking for a while, he decides to take Sirfetch'd back to the team.
Lillie: Why do you pick Sirfetch'd? Shouldn't you pick a Dragon or a Fairy Type Pokemon considering that on top of the mountain is a Dragon Type?
Ash: The truth is that my only Fairy Type Pokemon is Mr. Mime, who doesn't want to leave the house because of some house cleaning duties, and Dragon Types are also weak against Dragon Type as well. I was thinking about using an Ice Type, but you already have Snowy, and I trust in your abilities.
Lillie: Ash...(Feeling touched)
As they go to Mt. Boon, they find that the mountain is very high.
Lillie: This mountain sure looks high...
Ash: Indeed...but the vicious Dark Energy Dragon Pokemon is on top, we have to climb our way there and if possible, we have to defeat it on our own.
Lillie: I'm still nervous...considering what we have to face...
Ash sighs as they start to climb the mountain, on the way, they find some Pokemon like Nidoran, Spinarak, Aron, Galarian Farfetch'd, and even Axew there. Lillie feels uneasy as she decides to capture one more Pokemon to give her confidence.
Ash: So what are you going to capture, Lillie?
Lillie: I think I'll choose Nidoran, I mean, I would want to use a Nidoqueen.
After walking a while, they find the Nidoran who is resting, and they try to capture it using a Pokeball, Hatenna is also helping Lillie since it has the type advantage. After capturing it, they manage to reach the top of the mountain.
Ash: I wonder where is the Dragon...
But as they are about to look for it, they hear a roar as they turn around. A Dark looking Haxorus is standing in front of them, and by the looks of it, it is not very happy to see them as it is about to attack.
Lillie: So that's the Dark Energy Pokemon...not to mention that it is a Haxorus...
Ash: We have to defeat them if we want to know where our mother went... Let's do this, Lillie.
Lillie: Yeah. (Both Ash and Lillie throw Poke Balls)
Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, Ash and Lillie have battled the Grand Wizard and meet the Dragonslayer. Right now they are at Mt. Boon as they are about to battle the Dark Energy Pokemon. What is special about this kind of Pokemon? Let's say the creator of this game has a way to combine the Totem Pokemon and the Dynamax Pokemon, it is a cool setting. I hope you like this chapter.
