Chapter 23 Panic in the Park!
It is a new day in Cerise Park, Ash and Serena are feeding the Pokemon. After brushing Sylveon and Unfezant, Serena says, "There, all clean."
After the two Pokemon rush off, Serena turns to Raboot and asks, "Do you want to clean yourself as well?"
Raboot just walks off as Serena sighs. As for Ash, he is training his Pokemon and he says, "Riolu! Use Vacuum Wave! Leavanny! Protect!"
Both Pokemon are fighting against each other, while Greninja, Squishy, and Pikachu are watching the battle. Serena sighs and says, "Ash, can you please help me with the Pokemon here?"
"Oh, I'm coming." Ash says as he stops the training as they rush to Serena. "So what do you need me to do?"
Serena says, "I was wondering if you can help me clean Cofagrigus' coffin and then Darmanitan's teeth?"
Ash says, "You can count on me."
Just then, Beedrill flies over and spots an empty tray, meaning it has missed out on breakfast. It disturbs Gible and Female Nidoran's sleep to demand answers. Both Pokemon are confused, but then Beedrill starts waving around its stingers, at the same time, male Nidoran and Torterra rush forward, stopping the Beedrill.
"Hey! What are you guys doing?" Ash yells as he rushes to the scene. "Stop fighting! Is there something wrong?"
Beedrill points at the trey and he is angry, Ash says, "Are you telling me that someone ate your breakfast? But do you have proof that these Pokemon are the ones that did it?"
At a nearby place, Muk is also angry at his food is gone, and it is going after Ditto and Banette. Venusaur comes and stops them from fighting, Pinsir is doing the same as well.
"Stop! Please!" Serena also arrives and she asks, "What's wrong with you guys?"
After Muk showing its empty plate, and both Ash and Serena decide to talk about it.
"So it seems like somebody has stolen others' food..." Ash says.
"And they must have been really hungry." Serena says. "But who could be the one that stole all the food?"
As Raboot watches Skwovet walking past, Ash asks, "I was thinking if it is Snorlax, considering that he is a heavy eater...but I don't think Snorlax will take away others' food that quick, and it usually goes to sleep after we fed him with his own plate of food..."
"What about Oshawott?" Serena asks, "I mean, you told me that he acts just like Clemont's Chespin."
"I don't think he would be that speedy..." Ash sighs. "I think we should check for a few days."
Several days pass, and the food supplies at Cerise Park continue to be disappearing at a rapid rate. Krookodile is wandering on the road until he sees a lone Tauros, but the Tauros quickly runs away after seeing it opening its mouth. Swellow and Fearow manage to find a small piece of food, and they share it, but that's not enough to fill their bellies, and their attention changes to the Leek on Farfetch'd's hands, and Farfetch'd quickly flees before they take the leek. Both Butterfree and Beedrill are flying past with stomach growling, and they spot Pokemon food on the ground as they start to argue who to have it.
Ash and Serena are watching the security monitors, and Ash says, "Now they are being quite aggressive..."
"Something's definitely weird here." Serena says. "We have been feeding them every day, but we didn't get to find out who is the culprit..."
"Perhaps the culprit is not a glutton that we thought, and maybe it is a Pokemon who likes to do pranks?" Ash asks, "Like Gengar?"
Gengar doesn't like to be accused, and he fires a Shadow Ball at Ash. "Ash! Are you okay?"
"I think the culprit is not Gengar..." Ash mutters.
"It really is fascinating, I must say." Professor Cerise says. "Even in our small Cerise Park, the Pokemon seem to have formed communities. The Water Pokémon live in the pond, a small group has gathered around Golurk, while Banette and Krookodile keep to themselves. But one thing intrigues me, the Bug Group is the largest one...and it seems to be crashing against the Poison and Normal Type ones."
"Now that you mention it, it seems to be a problem." Ash says.
"We have to solve the problem of the food disappearing." Serena says. "Or the fighting will be worse..."
"Do you think it is possible that some unknown Pokemon snuck into the park and is causing trouble?" Ash asks.
"It could be..." Serena sighs.
After that, Ash and Serena plan to sleepover in the Park while they investigate the cause of the disappearing food.
In Cerise Park, a Banette tries to scare Beartic for the fun of it, only to get attacked for the prank. Meanwhile, as Krookodile's stomach grumbles, it bumps into Darmanitan, which has entered its Zen Mode. It lashes out at Darmanitan, only for the Blazing Pokémon to transform into its Standard Mode and blast Krookodile away with Overheat. Banette and Krookodile are sent flying into each other, and after dodging an Air Slash from Scyther, the unlikely duo decide to join forces.
The hunger crisis isn't affecting Silcoon and Squishy, as they are absorbing sunlight, as well as Snorlax, who always eats the food immediately after Ash and Serena pour it into the bowl. And even Legendary Pokemon like Lugia and Ho-oh are also hungry as they are flying slowly around the area.
By nightfall, Ash and Serena have set up camp in the park. They have laid out some trays of food hoping to catch the gluttonous culprit in the act.
Ash turns to Greninja and Charizard, he says, "Can I count on you two to scout for the culprit for us?"
The two Pokemon nod as they take the night shift, while both Ash and Serena are sleeping in the tent. But as they are sleeping, they manage to see the culprit, who swiftly takes the food. As they are about to act, Charizard accidentally slips and crashes into Greninja, both of them faint on the spot. Ash feels a little pain, but he continues to sleep.
The next morning, Ash and Serena come out and find the food empty, and both Charizard and Greninja faint on the spot, Serena says, "Don't tell me that the culprit manages to defeat both Greninja and Charizard?"
"So that's why I feel a little pain while I was sleeping? But who in the lab will have that strength to defeat both of them that easily?" Ash asks.
Before they can ask the two Pokemon, they find that the Pokemon are clashing at each other, with Tauros fighting with their horns, both Butterfree launches a cloud of Stun Spore on Muk, which counters with Poison Gas.
"Hey! Cut it off!" Ash yells as he sees the group battling. At the same time, Ho-oh is flying past and he also notices the commotion. Ash says, "Ho-oh, please help me stop the mess!"
Ho-oh nods as he tries to stop them, but it is not enough, at the same time, he suddenly grabs both Ash and Serena as they leave.
"What's the meaning of this, Ho-oh?" Ash asks in confusion, and Ho-oh says, "Just watch, we Pokemon have our own ways to deal with our own problems."
At the same time, Cubone and Skwovet notice the commotion as they quickly rush to find Golurk, Farfetch'd, and even Torterra and Venusuar, as they decide to intervene.
As Darmanitan launches an Overheat, Scyther blocks the attack, bolstering the Bug side's morale. Darmanitan and its allies flee to the pond, only to be stopped by Banette and Krookodile. The two of them are also joining the fight, and some Starter Pokemon are also joining.
"Not those guys as well...I start to wonder how Professor Oak and Tracy manage to deal with them..." Ash mutters as he can't believe his Pokemon are fighting with each other.
"Ash! Serena!" They hear Squishy's voice as they notice that the Silcoon is about to evolve. Ash says, "This is a bad time..."
Scyther counters another Overheat from Darmanitan, sending the attack towards the still sleeping Silcoon and Squishy. Golurk shows up just in time and blocks the wayward attack.
"Golurk! You're going to help us!"
Unexpectedly, Golurk's seal on its chest comes off and unleashes incredible power. A red beam of light blasts into the sky, causing dark clouds to fill the sky followed by a torrential downpour.
"Did Golurk just use Rain Dance?" Serena asks.
"No...I don't think so..." Ash says.
Squishy says, "Ash, Serena. If Golurk's seal on the chest is removed, then it will unleash uncontrollable power, you have to stop it before it goes on a rampage."
"Oh no..." Ash mutters as they see that Venusaur, Torterra, Greninja, and some powerhouses are trying to stop them, Farfetch'd and Pidgeot manage to find the seal and they are trying to put the seal back on Golurk.
"I'm glad you guys can help. Now Pikachu, use Iron Tail!" Ash says.
Serena says, "Delphox! Use Magistic Fire!"
Riolu tries to help, but the attack doesn't hit Golurk. Ash says, "Riolu, you're Fighting moves have no effective against Ghost Type Pokemon!"
Golurk's friends manage to fly up and place the seal on its chest, with Farfetch'd and Cubone hitting the two rivets into place. Golurk instantly reverts to its normal state, though the stormy conditions continue.
"Ho-oh, can you help us use Sunny Day?" Ash asks, and Ho-oh, who is weakened because of the rain, says, "I'll try..."
Just then, the dam walls break and the water is flooding the Cerise Park, Ash notices the struggling Silcoon and says, "Oh no... Silcoon..."
Just then, some Pokemon come and decide to help, Ash says, "Glalie! Dewgong! Use Ice Beam!"
Their Ice attacks are freezing the flooding water, and Pikachu, Charizard, Greninja, Delphox, Raboot, and Riolu are fighting to prevent Silcoon from getting harem by rocks. The other Pokemon watch in awe as they decide to help out as well.
"Wow...everyone is working together..." Ash says.
"So that the Silcoon can evolve..." Serena says. And after a while, Silcoon eventually becomes a beautiful Beautifly, much to everyone's delight. At the same time, Ho-oh manages to use Sunny Day and the weather goes back to normal.
After the mess is over, Ash and Serena manage to bring a lot some Pokemon food to enjoy, and since there are here, they just gobble them down like there's no tomorrow.
"Well, they sure are hungry after all that fighting..." Serena says.
"They all worked together to help Silcoon evolve into a Beautifly..." Ash says. "They sure are mysterious."
Just then, they find a hidden cove as they check it out, only to find the missing food inside. Serena says, "Those are the missing food!"
The culprit turns out to be Skwovet, who adds more food into the cove. Ash says, "Skwovet...so the culprit is you?"
Serena scans the Pokemon and it says, "Skwovet, the Cheeky Pokémon. A Normal type. Hiding and building up food stores is Skwovet's signature behavior."
Ash and Serena are just dumbfounded by the revelation, and Serena sighs, "I guess we'd better start leaving food for Skwovet's stash as well..."
"Yeah...but how did Skwovet manage to defeat Charizard and Greninja at the same time?" Ash asks, Greninja and Charizard just turn away in shame, not wanting to answer the question.
Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, I have made a lot of changes because Goh is not in the story, and Ash's old Pokemon is in the ranch as well. So I decide to do some changes and I hope you like it. The next chapter will be about Team Rocket.
