Chapter 7 Sibling Battle
Ash and Alice are continuing to show them their Pokemon. Then they see a Lopunny hopping towards them, and Alice pets the Pokemon.
"How are you doing, Lopunny?" Alice smiles as she hugs the Pokemon.
Dawn asks, "So you even capture a Lopunny in your team, Ash?"
Ash says, "Of course. We found it as a Buneary in Sinnoh, Buneary evolves by giving it a lot of affection, after all."
Max notices the Mega Stone on Lopunny and he asks, "Your Lopunny can Mega Evolve, right?"
Ash says, "Of course it can. We found the Lopunnite in Mauville City. There is actually a person who owes money to a loan shark, after helping him out, he gives us the present as thanks."
"That's quite strange if you ask me." Bonnie says.
Just then, they hear a rumble, as they turn around, they find a herd of Tauros running so fast as they almost trample them. All of them are also wearing the same gems, and both Ash and Alice rush to stop them.
"What is going on?" Clemont asks.
"Oh, those are Prince Ash's Tauros." Naomi says. "Since this place has enough space to roam around. So Prince Ash leaves them to my care."
"Wait, so those are Ash's Tauros?" Misty says in shock.
"I remember you told us that you've helped them take care of Pokemon." Max asks, "But why didn't he ask us for help?"
"Maybe because we tried to tell him to give up the dream." May frowns. "He doesn't trust us..."
"In fact, we all knew about it. But the fact that you still got the invitation from Ash himself means that he probably doesn't hate you, but he doesn't forgive you that easily." Naomi sighs.
After calming the Tauros down, Ash says, "Sorry about my Tauros, though a lot of you know how I get the Tauros."
"We know about it." Brock says. "I mean, we were there when you captured them."
Then they also see a Stoutland with a Ketchum Gem walking towards Ash and Alice. Ash smiles as he pets the Pokemon. Alice says, "This Stoutland is actually created by Ash himself using a soul that is died from old age."
This causes them to widen their eyes, Ash says, "My friends from Alola probably know about this, but I'm doing this for my Incineroar. Do you remember the mist from Tapu Fini? The soul that I met in the mist is this Stoutland."
"Wait, you mean the same Stoutland that takes care of your Incineroar before it is gone?" Lillie asks, and they tell others about the story, about how Ash captures Litten, and some of them are sad by the news.
"I can't believe that happened...that is so sad..." Bonnie says.
"I know." Ash frowns a little.
Just then, they hear a sound, Iris, Dawn, and Cilan feel the voice familiar as they look around. Just then Meloetta appears on Ash's shoulder, and they see that it has a Ketchum Gem on it.
"Is that the Mythical Pokemon Meloetta? I heard that its melodies are sung with a special vocalization method that can control the feelings of those who hear it." Lillie says.
"Yes, this is actually the same Meloetta that we met in Unova." Ash says.
Piplup tries to show his love towards Meloetta, but Meloetta just floats back without saying something, and it breaks his heart.
"After going to Undella Town, we found Ridley and Meloetta, Meloetta wants to come with us because of our adventures. So I capture it in the end." Ash says. "Meloetta was a target from Team Rocket in the Unova Region, by that I mean we encounter their boss Giovanni, who wants to capture Meloetta for his ambitions."
"You met the boss of Team Rocket at that time?" Misty asks.
"And that is after I left, right?" Dawn asks, and Ash nods. Then he tells them about what happened, and they are feeling sorry for Meloetta.
"By the way, are you sure she will be coming?" Alice asks Ash, and he nods, "Of course she will." He looks at the watch and says, "There are two minutes before she comes."
"Who is she that you're talking about?" Gladion asks, and then they see a girl walking towards them.
"Detection: Brother in front of me." They turn around and see that the girl is standing in front of them. Naomi sighs and says, "Could you please stop with your robotic voice? Namie?"
"Oops." Namie shows her tongue and then she hugs Ash. Ash says, "Namie, you are here."
"Hey, guys. How is your wedding planning?" Namie asks.
"Great, though we have some change of plans as we are taking these people around our Sevestar Region." Ash says as he turns to the others. "This is my sister, Namie Ketchum, I should say that she is my fifth sister and the third youngest member of the family. She is also a Gym Leader all the way from the Galar Region."
"What? You have siblings?" Serena is surprised. "How come we don't know anything about it?"
"Because of my parents." Ash says, "We promised to keep it a secret, but I think I am in the same shoes as Brock, considering I have 3 brothers and 7 younger sisters. Namie is actually adopted into our family because of a bad past."
Namie nods, "Answer: Because of how I talk to people, they think of me as a freak. Reason: By acting like a robot would help me neglect the pain from the domestic abuse in my original home."
The others are feeling pity for Namie, as they can't believe how she has suffered. Namie turns to Ash and says, "But since I came all the way from Galar, you promised me that we will have a battle, brother."
Ash says, "Of course I do remember. Why don't we do it right here, right now?"
"Sure. What do you say, Eevee?" Namie asks as her Eevee yelps.
When they are standing against each other, Namie and Ash are standing at the other side as Naomi becomes the referee. "Now let the battle begin."
Namie says, "Diggersby, use Dig." As Diggersby digs underground, Ash says, "If you are going to hide, then I will make sure you won't catch me. Froslass, use Hail!"
As the snow appears, Froslass' ability Snow Cloak activates as it disappears on the field. The group is staring in awe and then Namie says, "Diggersby, Mud Shot!"
Then Diggersby jumps out of the ground and shooting the mud everywhere, and it eventually hits Froslass in the end. "Good, use Bounce!"
Diggersby jumps into the air and then it hits Froslass by the head, causing it to wince in pain. "Froslass, are you okay?"
Froslass nods and Ash sighs, "Thank you. Now Froslass, playtime is over, and then use Sheer Cold."
Namie widens her eyes as the move is a one-hit knockout move, and then the Diggersby is defeated.
"Nice work, Froslass." Ash says.
"Don't think it is over, Brother." Namie says, "I still have Eevee."
Eevee jumps into the field and then Ash says, "Then I'll use Pikachu." Pikachu also jumps into the field. "Now Gigantamax time!"
Both Pokemon become bigger and stronger, and the group is surprised to see the two Pokemon become just like giants.
"What is going on? How come they all become giants?" Lillie gasps in shock.
"Oh, what you saw is the Gigantamax. It is an evolution of Dynamax." Naomi says.
"But what is a Dynamax?" Gladion asks.
"It is a technique from the Galar Region. Just like Z Moves, it comes from a Pokemon known as Eternatus and it makes Pokemon bigger and stronger. Max Moves are used instead of normal moves, and each max moves are powerful and tough since they will have additional effects."
Ash says, "Use Max Steelspike!"
Pikachu knocks the tail on the ground and spikes appear, hitting the Pokemon. Namie says, "Then how about G-Max Cuddle?"
Eevee starts to rub against Pikachu, causing it to have hearts in his eyes. Ash groans and says, "Not bad. But Pikachu has been trained to stay focus from Attract. G-Max Volt Crash!"
Pikachu then hits the Pokemon with the large thunder, causing it to explode and Eevee returns to normal after fainting. Namie frowns, "I am still not in your level, brother."
"I know. But don't worry, you will be getting there soon." Ash says as he turns to others, "By the way, we are just showing my friends our Pokemon. Do you want to join us?"
"Sure, even though Nate and Namie show me the Pokemon you owned before, but it will be nice to see them again." Namie says.
As they continue moving on, they find a Linoone with the Ketchum Gem rushing towards them. Ash says, "This Linoone is just a Zigzagoon when we meet him, it has been a speedy runner of our Normal Type Pokemon."
Namie says, "Well, it sure has been a while since I've seen this kind of Linoone."
"What do you mean?" Serena asks, and Namie says, "I am sure that you all know about regional variants, such as how Vulpix in Alola is Ice Type while the others are Fire Type, right? Linoone and Zigzagoon in Galar are the same."
"What? What type does Linoone become?" Max asks.
"Same as Rattata and Raticate, they become Dark and Normal Type. Compared to the normal ones, Linoone in Galar often challenge every Pokemon it saw and taunts them using their tongues." Namie says.
"That is so weird..." Serena mutters.
They also see a Stantler rushing towards Alice, as Alice touches its horn, petting him.
"This Stantler is also one of the Pokemon that we have to save from hunters. Stantler's magnificent antlers were traded at high prices as works of art. As a result, this Pokémon was hunted close to extinction by those who were after the priceless antlers." Ash says.
"That sounds so cruel..." Misty says.
"It is so cruel, but we are glad that we manage to save it from being a victim." Alice says. "Its illusions help us a lot of the time."
They also see an Ambipom swinging around the tree as it is doing some juggling to the wild Pokemon. Ash says, "That Ambipom is also our new capture. When we find it as an Aipom, it has been fond of playing tricks to gather everyone's attention. That's why we decide to capture it."
"I can tell that it might be similar to my Ambipom." Dawn says.
Ash says, "I see you got your Ambipom back, that's good news for you, Dawn."
As the others nod in agreement, they decide to head back to Naomi's house as they are a little tired.
When they are sitting in the living room, Ash is looking at his PokeGear and he groans a little...not again..."
Alice chuckles, "That happens a lot of the times. How about you use mine for the time being?"
"Sorry about that, Alice." Ash smiles at his girlfriend as he uses his PokeGear. Alice opens the gear and out comes a Porygon-Z. A lot of people are shocked as they have never seen a real-life Porygon-Z before.
"Where did you have that Porygon-Z?" Clemont asks. "I thought that they are close to extinct..."
Alice says, "Well, you can just evolve it after you have your own Porygon. Ash's PokeGear is powered up by Porygon-Z, though it has been malfunctioning a lot of times after evolution. Dubious Disc is what you need to evolve Porygon2 to Porygon-Z, but the Dubious Disc is not a perfect item as it sometimes cause Porygon-Z's behavior to change."
"I guess so..." Sophocles says, in awe at how Alice knows a lot of information.
