Chapter 8 Enter Silkan City
As they continue to show their Pokemon, Ash and Alice are now in front of a field with a lot of Bidoof and Bibarel building some places. Ash greets one of the Bibarel who has the Kethum Gem, and Ash says, "In Sinnoh, there is a Bidoof village if you are going to Eterna City. And we meet our own Bidoof there."
"I think I remembered how we saved them from a rampaging Steelix..." Brock says.
"Indeed." Alice says, "Ash told me about that before. These Bidoof and Bibarel are good at building houses, like Naomi's house, which is actually built with the help of these Pokemon."
"I never knew that...it sounds amazing..." Max says.
"Yeah, now let's go back into my house." Naomi says as they all nod. But as they open the door, they find a lot of Rattata and Raticate running out of the place.
"What's going on here?" May asks in surprise at the amount, and then they see a bigger Raticate with the Ketchum Gem standing in front of them. Ash says, "Raticate, it's nice to have you guard the house from those Rattata and Raticate."
Raticate says, "But the food is still eaten by those Skwovet and Greedent..."
After telling Naomi about this, she pales as she rushes to the kitchen. Misty asks, "What is that about?"
"Raticate here is also one of our Pokemon, it is helping Naomi from chasing intruders of the house, like those group of Rattata and Raticate. They sometimes gather around to steal her food and she doesn't like it a lot." Ash sighs.
Naomi comes back to the group and she just frown, "Those Skwovet and Greedent again...I think I need to buy more food in Silkan City."
"I'm sorry to hear that. They really are heavy eaters." Namie sighs.
"What are a Skwovet and a Greedent?" Cilan asks.
"You see, from the Galar Region, we have Pokemon that likes to eat berries. Wait for a second." She goes under the table and then they hear some noises, then she comes out with two Pokemon in her hand, one of them also has the gem. "They are Skwovet and Greedent, they are from the Galar Region and they are heavy Berry eaters."
"Wow..." Mallow says as she takes out the berry, and then the two Pokemon eat it happily.
Ash says, "I'm sorry about what my Greedent did to your food, how about we all go to Silkan City now? I mean, I'll pay for your food."
"That's so nice of you, Ash. But it's fine for me." Naomi says. "And I think it is the perfect time to go there as well."
After that, Ash, Alice, Naomi, and Namie are going to Silkan City, with their friends, who are confused about anything, following behind them.
"We're here, the Silkan City." Ash says as they enter the city, the city roads are big and the houses are usually white-colored.
May says, "So this is Silkan City? It's so big..."
"You're right. It seems like Lumiose City or Hau'oli City combined, even Castelia City as well..." Cilan says.
As they stroll on the road, they can see how people and Pokemon are walking together on the streets, and they also see posters about the RPA Company and the brands from all over the world.
"Hey, that's RPA Company, I heard that they have replaced PLA for funding the leagues from the seven regions. So this is the main headquarters?" Lillie asks.
"RPA Company also funds the Galar Region and this Sevestar Region." Namie says. "Silkan City is where the headquarters are."
Naomi says, "And it is only revealed in the Galar and Sevestaar Region, but the president of the company is no other than Ash himself."
"I think we have heard of it before. But we still can't believe the one who hates perfumes and even shopping are the ones who fund this place." Misty says.
"You do know I can hear you, right?" Ash says with a glare. "Five years can change a person, you know."
Alice sighs, "By the way, Ash. I think it is time for us to go."
"Oh? It's that time?" Ash says with a smile. "Well, what are we waiting for?" He turns to Namie and says, "Namie, can you help me take care of them while Alice and I have some business to attend?"
"You can count on me, Brother." Namie says as Ash and Alice leave.
"Where are they going?" Max asks.
Namie says, "Ash and Alice need to go to the Performance Hall for the preparation of the Showcases. How about I show you guys the RPA Department store?"
The others nod as they go with Namie and Naomi to the department store. When they enter the building, they can see a big fountain and a lot of stores there.
"Wow...this is really like a department store!" Bonnie says.
"This is so big, there are so many places we can explore..." Clemont says.
"You see, Brother wants the people here to be happy, so they made a lot of stuff here." Namie says.
"Hey look! It's Princess Namie!" One kid yells and then a lot of people gather around her, as for the others, they are being pushed away as they don't know what just happened."
"Alright, alright, please get in line so I can give you each an autograph." Namie says as she tries to struggle through the crowd.
As the others are watching the commotion, Serena asks, "What is going on here?"
"Well, the whole Ketchum Family is treated as royalties in this region. You probably remember that Ash has 10 siblings." Naomi sighs.
After getting free from the crowd, they decide to calm down by having a Moomoo Milk at the Miltank stand while Naomi has to shop for some groceries. Namie says, "Nothing is better than the products from Miltank."
"I agree. They are so delicious." Mallow says as she looks at the Miltank that is helping the staff, as it also has a Ketchum Gem. "Is that Miltank also Ash's Pokemon?"
"Of course it is. Though I am not the one that takes care of that Miltank, the Gym Leader of this city is the one." Naomi says as she walks towards them with a lot of bags. "Now that we are done, how about we go watch the Showcase?"
The others agree as they go there, and Lana asks, "So what's the difference between Showcases and Contests?"
Bonnie says, "They are similar, but Performances don't have battles. And there are some things like designing and baking as well."
At the same time, Ash is now in his female disguise, with Audino and Alice standing by his side. Alice asks, "Are you feeling nervous? Ash?"
"I am, since I have to perform in front of the whole crowd. I really don't want to mess this up as the new Sevestar Queen." Ash says.
"I'm sure that you'll be fine." They turn around and they see Palermo walking towards them. Ash gives her a hug and says, "Grandma? What are you doing here?"
"Why I come here to see my grandson performing, or should I say granddaughter in your female form?" Palermo teases a little, and Ash is blushing.
"I guess you can...but still I'll be doing my best to make the crowd smile." Ash says in determination."
"That's the spirit." Palermo chuckles a little, and she turns to Alice, "So how is my grandson treats you, Alice?"
"Like a princess, even though I really am." Alice says as they watch Ash going to the stage.
The spotlight is focusing on Monsieur Pierre, and he says, "Welcome everyone to the Silkan Performance, since this is the start of the Performance this month, please let us welcome our Sevestar Queen, Performer Scarlett, to give out an exhibition performance!"
As the crowd cheers wild, Serena says, "Wait, did he say Scarlett?"
"You know her? Serena?" Lillie asks.
"In the year I won the Kalos Queen, I faced her in the final match. It was a close one, but I barely won against her. I can't believe she is actually the Sevestar Queen..."
Namie chuckles a little and says, "You see, Scarlett, is actually brother himself. He lost on purpose so you could win the Kalos Queen."
This causes them to be surprised, and Misty asks, "You mean Scarlett is Ash? But I thought Performances are girl things, are you telling me that Ash disguises himself as a girl to take part in it?"
"And not to mention that he almost win against Serena?" Bonnie asks.
Then they see a performer on stage, Ash is wearing a blue dress that he made for himself, and he also has his hair tied into a ponytail with some jewelry that he carved on his hair.
"Is that Ash?" Cilan asks in shock.
"I had seen Ash pretending to be a girl, but this beauty is over our expectations..." Brock says in awe.
Ash smiles and he takes out two Pokeballs, "Delcatty! Castform! I choose you!"
Both Pokemon come out of the Pokeball, and their Ketchum Gems are embedded in their outfits. Castform is creating weather effects to give spice to Ash's dancing, and so does Delcatty, who has been moving along with a bunch of its moves. Everyone can't turn their attention from the show, especially Serena, who is still shocked to see her rival dances so well.
"Now time to finish it off! Delcatty, use your biggest Attract!" Ash says, and Delcatty creates the giant heart that floats into the air, and then Castform goes with the Hail, using the snow to make the heart explode into flashy lights. Everyone is amazed at the sight as they all give their applause to him.
"So this is Showcases..." May says.
"The performance is so luxurious, but good taste..." Cilan says.
Naomi and Namie look at each other and smile, Ash is doing a good job in the performance. The backstage, Alice and Palermo are also nodding at Ash's performance, as it is one of a kind and it is outstanding.
Once they finish the performance, Ash and Alice go to meet others as they greet them. Ash says, "Hello everyone."
"Ash? Are you really Scarlett?" Serena asks. "Are you the one that almost won against me in my year of becoming Kalos Queen?"
"Yeah, do you like my appearance?" Ash swirls around to show off.
Max says, "Now you look like a different person, Ash. But why don't you take your wig off?"
"Because it is real hair." Alice says, and it causes them to get shocked.
"Indeed." Palermo also comes to greet them. "Since he is an Arceus, he can change his gender whenever he wants."
"Grandma!" Namie also gives her a hug, as she never knew that Palermo is here.
"Ms. Palermo? You're also here, too?" Serena asks in shock.
"It's nice to see you again, Serena. I'm here to see my grandson's performance." Palermo says.
"Wait, so Ash is your grandson?" Gladion asks and the others are shocked to learn the truth.
"Yes. I found Aurora as an Arceus and me and my husband raised her, then she made us her parents." Palermo says.
"I never knew that happened..." Dawn says.
Ash turns to Palermo and asks, "So grandma? Are you going to explore around the company with us?"
"As much as I enjoy looking around your company, but I still need to go back to Kalos since I have business there."
"I see...well, it's good to see you again, Grandma." Namie says as the elderly woman bids them farewell. Ash also uses the time to switch back into his male form.
"So you can switch your gender...this is amazing..." Bonnie says.
"I know." Ash chuckles as they continue to explore the place.
