Chapter 2
Alice is sitting in her room, she mutters, "Why can't she understand? I want to find Dad..."
She looks at the picture of her family that is hanging on the wall, she says, "Dad...where are you? I want to see you again...everyone misses you as well..."
Just then, Trishout tugs her clothes, and she turns around and asks, "What is it? Trishout?"
Trishout just asks her to follow him, and Alice is confused. But as he points at the window, she asks, "Are you suggesting me to jump out of the window?"
Trishout nods, and Alice says, "Even though I am on the second floor, jumping out of the window is going to make her worry...well, I'm sorry, Mom. But I promise I will bring Dad back."
She takes Trishout's Pokeball on the table, and jumps out of the window, she crashes into the tree, which falls after the fall, it also saves her from getting any injuries.
"That is better than I thought." Alice says. And Trishout just tugs her again, Alice asks, "Do you want to come with me, Trishout?"
The Pokemon nods, and Alice recalls it into her Pokeball as she tries to go, then she remembers the grave that her father told her about, she decides to check out.
"Hey, Alice. Where are you running?" Alice flinches as she turns around, it is her grandmother Delia.
"Grandma...I..." Alice flinches a little, and Delia smiles, "Ho-ho! Look at that...your mommy finally let you go, huh? She probably realized she was shielding you too much...Hee hee!"
"Well...I guess so." Alice says, she hated to lie to her, but to find her father, she has to do it.
"Well, you are about to start a journey that will make you run into a bunch of new Pokemon! Let me show you something, then." Delia says as she brings her to the tall grass. "As you can see, the grass here is taller than usual...That's where wild Pokemon live! But don't worry, you can catch them with special gizmos called Pokeballs. Here, you can take some."
Alice receives some Pokeballs from her Grandmother, and Delia says, "However, you cannot catch a healthy Pokemon...you must weaken it first! After having battled for a bit, try to launch a Poke Ball and cross your fingers to catch it. Why don't you give it a try?"
As Alice walks into the grass, she sees a yellow bird Pokemon that is looking at her, she says, "That is a Sparkowl...an Electric and Flying Type...Sound is weak to Electric, but Flying is weak to Sound as well...okay. Trishout."
Alice sends out the Pokemon and she commands an Ember, after weakening it a little, Alice tosses the Pokeball and captures the Pokemon in the end. Delia smiles and says, "Playing with Pokemon is so much fun, isn't it? It makes me feel younger, even..."
"Yeah...it is fun." Alice says as she bids her grandmother farewell as she wants to leave Nova Ranch. But when she is about to step out, she hears a voice as it is an angry tone, "Where do you think you're going?"
Alice flinches as her mother has caught up to her, Serena yells, "Did you really want to run away without saying a word? What a childish behavior!"
"I...but Mom..." Alice finds her words failed her as Serena continues to scold her, "I know you miss your Dad! Don't you think I feel the same, Alice? It is not easy to raise a child on your own!"
After noticing Alice's scared face, she calms a little and says, "Do you really think a newbie like you could do more than two adults? You don't even imagine how dangerous the world out there!"
"Of course I know! But that is not going to stop me!" Alice finally finds the courage as she says, and Trishout also comes out from the Pokeball as well, trying to protect Alice.
"So Trishout agrees with you...! It had to happen, sooner or later..." Serena says, and Pikachu is also worried as he tries to tell her something. Serena nods at Pikachu and she says, "I see talk is cheap with you, Alice. Well, then..."
Alice sees how her mother takes out a Pokeball and says, "Prove me you're worthy of this with a Pokemon Battle!"
"A battle? Against Mom?" Alice gasps.
"I'm ready to teach you a lesson if that's the only way I have to protect you. Come on!" Alice says as she sends out a Wigglytuff, it has been her new Pokemon after seeing how she likes to sing, even though Ash was against capturing it as he didn't like how she has been singing a lullaby and doodled on his face every time he slept.
As they are battling, Wigglytuff has been continuously using the move Sing to make Trishout asleep, but Trishout manages to wake up and uses Ember, and Wigglytuff uses Endeavor to make its health the same. But in the end, Trishout learns a new move called Babble, and it finally defeats Wigglytuff as it is super effective. Serena is watching the battle and she thinks, "That determination...it is the same as Ash..."
After seeing how Wigglytuff lost, she frowns and says, "Who am I kidding? I cannot even change my daughter's mind, how am I supposed to find a missing man...?"
Alice isn't expecting to see her mother sad again, but Serena is showing her strong self and she says, "Alice, I've seen the determination in your eyes...Is this what you really desire the most in this world?"
"I want to bring Dad back. I don't want to see you cry because he's missing." Alice says, "I want to be a happy family like we used to...that's why I should go on this journey!"
Serena sighs and she says, "Maybe Delia is right, I shouldn't clip my child's wings. I had no right to keep you from this so long, but I did it only for your sake. Well...There are some times I also wanted to run away from home as well."
"You did?" Alice asks, as Serena says, "Because my Mom always wants me to go Rhyhorn Racing, that is until I found your father in Kalos. He helped me find a dream that I wanted."
She sighs and says, "But now you know the truth, I'm sure you won't be happy to stay here without being able to help! Okay, darling! I think you should leave the nest to grow and mature! If this is what you want, just go and embark on this great adventure in the Eldiw Region! But remember, I'll always be here and you'll always be welcome, whenever you need!"
Pikachu tugs Serena's leg again, and Serena says, "Oh, right. Thanks for reminding me, Pikachu. This whole thing made me forget your birthday present! Here it is, princess, you'll love these!"
Alice gasps as she gets a pair of running shoes, as she wants them because she can wear them to find her father. She puts them on and Serena says, "On the package, it says that wearing this can make you run faster than the wind. And now you have everything to reach Hadwarf City safely. Down there you will meet Aster, an old friend of Dad's. I'm sure he'll give you some useful tips."
Pikachu also walks towards Alice, and Serena says, "Pikachu is your father's Pokemon, and he misses your father as much as you do. So please take Pikachu with you as well, I'm sure he will help you a lot in the journey as well."
"Okay. Welcome to the team, Pikachu." Alice says as Pikachu climbs onto her shoulder.
"Be careful, and don't make me worry. Trishout, Pikachu, keep an eye on this brat, okay?" Serena says, and Alice is blushing in embarrassment.
"Best of luck to you, my Princess! I love you." Serena says.
"I love you too, Mom." Alice says as Serena leaves. Alice is now in relief as she can finally go on a journey to find her father. It is better than she wants. "Now, let's go, Trishout, Pikachu."
The two Pokemon nod as they head to Route 1.
In Route 1, Alice notices a Pokemon who is training with the trees, and she says, "That is Yemin...I mean, it is a Normal and Fighting Type Pokemon, it is pretty rare as well."
She takes out Sparkowl and says, "Use Thunder Shock." The bird Pokemon shoots out electricity at the Pokemon, damaging it, and Alice uses the chance to capture it in the end.
But then, she notices a boy who is looking at a tree hole, she walks towards the boy and he says, "Man, there's no way to get in there..."
"Hello?" Alice asks, and the boy just jumps and says, "UARGH! You made my heart skip a beat! I thought it was a wild Pokemon ready to attack me!"
"Sorry." Alice says.
"Hm...you really look like a Pokemon trainer, am I right?" The boy asks.
"I am a Pokemon trianer." Alice says.
"Heh Heh! I never miss one, yeah." The boy replies. "My name is Adi, and I just moved to this region... yeah. I'm a big Pokemon enthusiast and I know everything about them, but due to my age, I just observe their behavior and seek hidden treasures inside these dungeons called Pokemon Dens! You'll see...one day I'll catch 'em all!"
"What is a Pokemon Den?" Alice asks in confusion.
"What did you say? Never heard of Pokemon Dens?" Adi asks in surprise, but he calms down and says, "Don't worry, that's why I'm here! Yeah."
He points at the tree trunk and says, "See, these are Pokemon's hideouts where they store the precious items they stumble across. Obviously, you can find Dens in every corner of the region, but remember that only one Pokemon can enter them, and sometimes a specific type is required!"
"Oh..." Alice says.
"But you have to consider the risk factor, too! In fact, if the Pokemon inside the Den realized your buddy was there, too, it wouldn't hesitate to immediately cast it out!"
He notices her Trishout and Pikachu and says, "I see you have Pokemon with you...why don't you try to infiltrate this Den? Yeah. Well, young trainer...It was nice meeting you. I wish you a prosperous career. Sayonara."
After he leaves, Alice says. "Weird guy." Then she has Trishout enter the den, and after escaping the Rattata, she just gets the treasure, which is a Rare Candy and walks towards Hadwarf City.
At the same time, Serena is at the ranch, she looks at Ash's Pokemon and she looks at the Pokemon. A lot of them are depressed as Ash was missing. Serena says, "Everyone. As you can see, Alice has started her journey."
This causes them to look at her with shock, and Serena adds, "Right now Pikachu has been with her to make sure she doesn't do anything rash, but since both of them are trying to find Ash, I want you all to help out as well."
The Pokemon hears that how they are trying to find Ash, and they nod as they start to train themselves so that they can help their master's daughter.
And this is the first chapter of the story, I hope you like how Alice finally persuades Serena to let her go on a journey, and she will be not only capturing all the new Pokemon, she will be using her father's team as well. I hope you like this chapter and the next one will be meeting Aster.
