Chapter 31 Road to Silverport

Ash, Serena, Aurora, and Sheldon are now at the Labyrinth, and Ash says, "So this place is called the Labyrinth...does that mean we are going to get through some sort of maze?"

"That might be right, but it can be a good training before we reach Silverport Town." Aurora says. "Besides, some of your Pokemon aren't evolving yet."

"You're right." Ash says, "I can't wait to train them."

The first Pokemon they learn is Dunsparce, Serena says, "Are you sure that Dunspace has an Evolution? I don't think it will work..."

"If we don't try, where is the fun of it?" Ash asks, and eventually Dunspace learns the move Sky Fall, and it evolves into a bigger Pokemon that is also a Dragon Type.

Dunseraph: The God Snake POkemon: Dragon and Flying Type. Evolved from Dunsparce by learning Sky Fall. Said to be descended from a Dunsparce that climbed Sky Pillar. It can alter the air pressure at will.

"So basically it is trying to mimicking a Rayquaza." Ash says. "That is good to know."

"Yeah, it reminds me of a time when you are riding on a Shiny Mega Rayquaza to stop Hoopa." Serena says.

The second Pokemon they decide to train is Felunge, after training this Pokemon for a while, it falls asleep and Serena says, "Why does it sleeping now?"

"Perhaps it learns the move Rest." Sheldon says. "It is a good thing as it is close to evolving."

And just like what Sheldon says, Felunge starts to glow as it is evolving, it has become fatter and Ash says, "So it has become a Feliger..."

Feliger: The Fat Cat Pokemon: Normal Type. Evolved from Felunge by learning Rest. Many trainers are disappointed when Felunge evolves because it gets fat and lazy. It can crush foes under its enormous body mass.

"Well, it is just another Snorlax, the hard Pokemon to train, the more challenge I can have." Ash says.

"Really? Feliger is really lazy, are you sure it won't be another Charizard?" Aurora asks, and Ash says, "I don't think so."

The third Pokemon that they are training is S51, it has been training with the help of Sheldon, who is an expert of this kind of Pokemon, and eventually this Pokemon evolves into S51, much to Ash's delight.

S51-A: The UFO Pokemon: Psychic and Steel Type. Evolved from S51 at LV:40. Some people suspect that Beheeyem, Clafable, and S51-A are conspiring to invade the planet. No one is safe.

"What is the Pokedex thinking?" Sheldon says with annoyance. "I know for sure that these Pokemon aren't going to invade the planet. Especially Clefable and S51-A."

"Well, I did remember there was a time when I got caught inside of Beheeyem invasion." Ash says, and Serena asks, "Really? What is it like?"

"They were using some sort of masks to control other people, and they say that because I am an idiot, that is why they can't control me." Ash says with a dry laugh.

"Nobody says my Ash an idiot." Serena says with an angry tone, and Aurora says, "Relax, Serena. It is a good thing that the invasion is stopped, right?"

"Yeah, turns out they control the people just because they want to find the key to their UFO, which is an Amulet Coin." Ash says.

The fourth Pokemon they are training is Chimical, and after the training, it evolves and it becomes a Pokemon with a white mane, snake's tail, devil horns, and wings. Serena says, "This really looks like an abomination..."

"Yeah...I wonder what is the deal of this Pokemon." Ash says as he checks out the Pokemon.

Chimiconda: The Chimera Pokémon: Fire and Poison Type. Evolved from Chimical at LV:40. Normally passive unless provoked, Chimiconda injects their prey with a paralytic venom and then wraps it in their tails, squeezing the life out.

"That really is terrifying if you asking me, I guess it is good at suffocating the others." Ash says.

"Yeah." Serena shakes her head with a sigh.

Serena also has a Pokemon that is close to evolving, so they train her Quetzoral. After training it with the help of the newly evolved Chimiconda, it glows and it becomes to take a dragon-like form. Serena says, "I think this is really looking like a Dragon."

"Of course, this is Coatlith after all." Aurora says.

Coatlith: The Forest Lord Pokemon: Grass and Dragon Type. Evolved from Quetzoral at LV:41. Early natives of Baykal worshipped Coatlith as gods. They are fiercely devoted to protecting nature and will attack anyone, friend or foe, who defiles it.

"So I have a Pokemon that is like a god...that is amazing." Serena says.

"Yeah." Ash says.

And they also train their Fossil Pokemon, as they evolve into powerful Pokemon in the end.

Dermafrost: The Mountain Tusk Pokemon: Ice and Rock Type. Evolved from Snopatch at LV:41. It charges forward with the unstoppable force of a glacier, and its punch can shatter solid rock. They were hunted to extinction by early humans.

Theriamp: The Giant Sloth Pokemon: Electric and Rock Type. Evolved from Slothohm at LV:40. An ancient Pokémon known for its lightning-fast strikes. It used its incredibly sharp claws to shave the bark off of trees.

Serena has also bonded with Selkid a lot, and it also evolves into a bigger Pokemon, and Serena is happy about it.

Syrentide: The Siren Pokémon: Water and Fairy Type. Evolved from Selkid by leveling up with High Friendship. Their song is hypnotic, and all who hear it are immobilized. Legends tell of shipwrecks that were caused when the sailors were captivated by a Syrentide's song.

"Really dangerous but cool, and I am glad that it evolves from friendship." Serena says as she hugs the Pokemon.

Besides training, they have also captured some new Pokemon. As Serena spots a Masking, she says, "Ash, will you mind if I capture this Masking?"

"Of course, by learning from Rosalind's Masking and Dramsama, it is really strong." Ash says.

Serena uses her Baaschaf to battle, even though it uses Confuse Ray to make it confused, but Serena still manages to capture it with the help of Dark Type moves.

Masking: The Masquerade Pokemon: Psychic Type. It is capable of disguising itself as anything it likes. Although it appears to be a bird Pokémon, this is just an illusion. No one has seen its true form.

And after training for a while, it evolves into Dramsama in the end.

Dramsama, the Masquerade Pokémon: Psychic and Ghost Type. Evolved from Masking at LV:42. A sinister and vengeful Pokémon, it puts its foes into an eternal sleep and steals their souls to add to its tail.

"Wow...that is terrifying." Serena says after looking at the dex entry.

But the second Pokemon they have found is something that they aren't expecting. Sheldon says, "How is that even possible? That's an Antarki! It should have lived in snowy places, not here..."

"Antarki? I admit it looks quite weird..." Ash says as he wants to capture the Pokemon, with the help of Floatzel, he captures the Pokemon in the end.

Antarki: The Guide Star Pokemon: Ghost and Fire Type. Said to be the ghost of a Pokémon that died before its time. It guides lost souls into the afterlife using the light of its small star.

"So it is basically another Litwick like Pokemon..." Ash says with a shiver.

When they are training their Pokemon, Team Rocket is also nearby as they have to quickly go to Silverport Town, on the way, they meet up with Ash and the others again, and this time they use a bigger Pokemon to battle them, Aurora says that it is called Luchabra, and it is dangerous.

Chupacho: The Bloodsucker Pokemon: Poison Type. It comes out at night to suck the blood from sleeping prey. Its needles contain a numbing toxin that can incapacitate an enemy in minutes.

Luchabra: The Chupacabra Pokémon: Poison and Fighting Type. Evolved from Chupacho at LV:38. It does not understand the meaning of "mercy" and will ruthlessly attack with deadly toxins. It can shoot poisonous spines from its back.

But with the help of Dramsama and Espeon, they manage to defeat the Pokemon, but instead of blasting off, they run away as fast as they can.

"Strange...what is up with them? They just quickly leave..." Serena says.

"I don't know, but something tells me that I have a bad feeling about this." Ash says.

And the final Pokemon they find on the way is a Linkite, and when Ash notices the Pokemon, he says, "I have seen Theo using this Pokemon, but it will be better if I capture one of my own."

Then he tosses a Pokeball and captures the Pokemon.

Linkite: The Shackled Pokemon: Ghost Type. The spirit of a Pokémon that died inside its Poké Ball. It has forgotten its original appearance so it takes the form of a Substitute decoy.

"That really is a substitute decoy...I wonder if this Pokemon can learn Substitute?" Serena asks.

"Actually, it can, but only through move tutors." Aurora says. "And if you want to evolve this Pokemon, you will have to do the trade."

"And lucky for you, I always carry the machine with me." Sheldon says.

As they are doing the mock trade, Serena says, "You know, Ash. Sheldon and your sister reminds me a lot about Clemont and Bonnie, don't you agree?"

"I guess so. Sheldon is really enjoying machines like Clemont, and my sister likes to tease just like Bonnie." Ash says. "But they are still different people after all."

After the trading is done, they are surprised to see a black body coming out of the Pokeball and substitute doll.

Chainite: The Retribution Pokémon: Ghost and Dark Type. Evolved from Linkite by trading. A malicious and dangerous Pokémon, it seeks revenge against the trainer who abandoned it. Its shackles were reinforced to keep its violent nature under control.

"Wow, I am glad that it doesn't try to hate us." Ash says as they continue to find their way out of the labyrinth.

At the Silverport Town, Jessie, James, and Meowth are now standing behind a scientist, as the helicopter with Giovanni and the other Team Rocket grunts arrive. "Larkspur."

After shaking hands with each other, Larkspur says, "I am glad you can come, old friend."

"So I got intel from those three behind you that Ash Ketchum and his group will be arriving here. Have you prepared anything?" Giovanni asks.

"Of course. I have even set up bait." Larkspur then shows a cage containing the Garlikid. "This Pokemon is trying to wreak havoc on our lab, but we manage to catch it and it could not only be a good bait, but it can also be a strong Pokemon for us to use."

"Good." Giovanni says, "Why don't we get inside to talk some more?"

"Of course." Larkspur says as they all head into the lab.
