The marines were pale and honestly knew they were probably going to die as they looked at the new arrivals to the fight.
"Why are you here Linlin?" Whitebeard asked his rival Yonko who huffed.
"You and that brat saved some of my little ones when a Slave Trader got lucky enough to catch them. I haven't been able to repay that debt yet so after my crew and I save him then you can consider us even Edward!" Big Mom said glaring at the other Yonko who blinked but nodded in understanding.
"I didn't know those were some of your kids. Huh. I'm grateful for your aide." Whitebeard called to his former crewmate who merely snorted and then glared at the marines as she cracked her knuckles.
"Yeah yeah. This is a one time deal. You know what we're here for kids. So have fun." Big Mom said glancing down at the children she had brought with her to fight at Marineford.
The war started again in earnest there, the marines doing their best to keep up with both of the Yonko's crews and the allied pirate captains, and things were definitely going more towards the pirates side.
That's when the Pacifista showed up and Big Mom glared at her former crewmate.
"Edward you idiot! Those frozen tsunamis are keeping them penned in!" Big Mom said even as Prometheus lit her fist on fire and she shattered one of the tsunamis with a single punch.
"I'm getting too old for this shit." Whitebeard said sighing as he shattered the other tsunami with his quaking powers.
A few seconds later is when a marine ship came falling from the sky carrying some surprising passengers, the sight causing more than a few people to snort or jaw drop in disbelief.
Big Mom was laughing at the scene as Straw Hat Luffy stood in front of a marine ship full of big names and the rabble he had set free from Impel Down.
She was laughing even harder when the brat had knocked Crocodile away from Whitebeard and then bravely stood up to the man himself declaring that he was going to be the next King of Pirates.
"Luffy! Why are you here?! I don't want you here just go home! I have my own life! I have my own friends!" Ace shouted at his brother who just scowled at him. His words were depressing to listen to and Big Mom considered telling the brat to shut up herself but was cut off when the rookie began talking.
"I'm your brother!" Luffy shouted making more than a few Marines look horrified as he ran through and punched away anyone in his path.
"Brother? He's a son of Roger too?" More than a few marines were horrified at this while Big Mom looked interested. So the rookie was likely the child of that damn Roger as well?
"I don't give a damn about the rules of pirates!" Luffy yelled as he jumped off of one marine he shoved down and flew into a crowd of them with fists and feet swinging and his mouth open in a feral snarl.
"Don't let him turn the tide of this war! He was raised alongside Ace as his step brother. In truth he's the son of Monkey D. Dragon, the leader of the revolutionaries!" Sengoku announced to the world, making Big Mom smile slightly. So this brat was the son of Dragon? The same Dragon who might give her an alliance if his son got married to one of her kids. Oh ho! She'd have to have her kids protect this brat while she thought of who to marry him off too.
Luffy however didn't care about this as he ran towards his brother while a Marine giant came over to squash him with a club.
"Gear third." Even the Big Mom pirates were surprised to see the boy's fist suddenly enlarge to being the same size as the giant, and then seeing the scrawny slip of a boy take out the giant in one punch.
"Ace! You can say whatever the hell you want! I'm going to save you even if it means death!" Luffy proudly yelled at his brother who was near tears while the Whitebeard pirates all cheered about how they felt the same way and Whitebeard gave Marco the order to not let Luffy die. Something Big Mom also told to Perospero. The Charlotte siblings all smiled slightly, thinking of how they would do the same for their own brothers and sisters if the marines caught them and they were about to be executed.
The two veterans were more than content to sit back and watch as the brat led the charge for a while, taking out more than a few dozen marines as he made his way to his brother. Eventually he was caught up to by the Division Commanders and some of the Charlotte Ministers who helped him clear a path before he was interrupted by Smoker.
"How dare you strike my beloved Luffy!" Hancock however was the one to knock Smoker away from Luffy before one of the others could get to him and Luffy grinned at her in thanks while nearby one of the allied pirate captains and ministers noticed as Hancock slipped him a key.
Looking around during Luffy's hug she met eyes with the two women who saw what she had done just as Luffy jumped off of her and met their eyes as well.
"Life's a show and we all play our parts, And when the music starts, we open up our hearts." The battlefield went dead silent when Whitey Bay began to sing, her eyes still locked onto the other three as she sped walked to them while cutting down any marine in her path.
"It's alright if somethings come up wrong, We'll sing a happy song, and you can sing along." Hancock sang that part and more than a few Marines were having nosebleeds or jealous of Whitey. Of course a lot of people were having nosebleeds at the thought of the two women together.

Wishes can, come true. That's why you work so hard, all day. To be like other girls." Amande Charlotte began to sing too however, making more than a few of her siblings look shocked and stunned. Although her mother looked pleased with this development.
"To fit in this glittering world. Don't give me songs, don't give me songs."
"She needs backup. You two." Luffy said during the lyric and both Whitey and Boa nodded their heads as the four of them came together and held hands, staring at each other.
"A foursome!? There's never been four people in a Soul Song group before! The most recorded is three!" Quite a few people were shocked and surprised at this as they stared at the soul mates singing their song together, more than a few men jealous of Luffy as Amande began to look a bit younger with her body firming up in some places no one even noticed before. Big Mom was very pleased with this development.
"Give me something to sing about. I need something to sing about!" Amande sang that while Boa and Whitey went 'ohhh ohhh' in the background.
"Life's a song, you don't get to rehearse." Whitey said and honestly most people agreed with that.
"And every single verse, can make it that much worse." Boa sang a bit ruefully there as she recalled her childhood, but her soulmates (including her beloved Luffy!) all reached out and wrapped their arms around her and each other.
"Still my friends, don't know why I ignore!" Luffy was high pitched and a bit off key but that might have been on purpose from the way he was smiling at them.
"Luffy no! You're supposed to stay my cute and innocent little brother!" Ace was yelling and he looked so furious and upset by his brother having a soul mate, multiple soul mates, that it forcibly reminded his crew about his brother complex.
"The million things or more, I should be dancing for." All four of them sang that line and Amande looked terrified for what she could feel in her heart was coming next. The secret she had kept for twenty years.
"All the joy, life sends!" Luffy sang that.
"Family, and friends!" Amande sang that as she glanced over at her family.
"All the twists, and bends!" That was Whitey.
"Knowing that, it ends!" Boa sang that one.
"Well that, depends!" All four of them sang that, three of them staring at the oldest member of their quad.
"On if they let you go." Amande said looking over at her family and she held her mates tighter.
"On if they know enough to know." That was the other three.
"That when you bowed, you leave the crowd." Amande said and her voice was sad as she stared at her brothers and sisters who were staring at her confused and worried. After all they all remembered twenty years ago when a group of pirates had ambushed her and some of their younger siblings and she had been killed protecting the little ones.
They and Big Mom remembered getting to her just in time for Big Mom to grab her soul as it was leaving her body. Big Mom had tried for days to put her daughters soul into a homie that would hold it but none of them had been strong enough. So she had put Amande's soul back into her body, therefore bringing the woman back from the dead. Something Big Mom had only done that once as the older siblings fiercely guarded each other and the little ones to keep the event from happening again.
They had seen how distant and almost depressed Amande had been after she had been revived after all.
"There was no pain, no fear, no doubt." Amande was doing a solo as she stared at her siblings with pain and sorrow, knowing that this was probably going to break their hearts. And none of them knew it was being broadcasted from the Den Den Mushi that Buggy still had going.
"Till they pulled me out, of heaven." Her voice broke on the last word and her mates looked stunned as they backed up a second to stare at her in wide eyed shock and horror while she took a step towards her siblings.
"So that's my refrain. I live in hell, 'cuz I've been expelled from heaven." Her voice was cracking and breaking as a single tear slid down her cheek while all of her siblings and her mothers eyes widened and her mother fell on her ass on the ice, thankfully not going through it, as they stared at Amande in horror and heartbreak.
"I think I was in heaven." Her voice broke again and she took a ragged breath as she tried to keep from sobbing, her siblings covering their mouths in horror and a few of her sisters even crying for her. Even the marines felt bad for the woman. She had been dead and had been at peace and even somehow made it to heaven until she was brought back somehow.
Her mates were crying too aside from Luffy, he was just staring at her seriously.
"So give me something to sing about!" Amande demanded staring at her siblings and mother.
"Please!" Whitey and Boa sung near begging as they tried to wipe away their tears.
"Please give me something!" Amande begged looking at her mother who slowly shook her head. She…she didn't know what to say. Her daughter had been in heaven and she had dragged her daughter away from it?
Amande began to jerk and dance around like crazy as everyone watched, a tear in her eye but her face determined as she spun around and around so fast and danced so hard that her body began to smoke. Literally.
Her three mates leapt forward and stopped her, Boa and Whitey having their hands on Amande's arms while Luffy had stretched himself to put his hands on her shoulders while his neck was now stretched long enough to stare her in the eye.
"Life's not a song." Luffy said shaking his head with a serious look in his eye as he moved some of her hair out of her face and behind her ear.
"Life isn't bliss." Boa said softly as she clutched onto Amande's left arm, hugging the woman tightly with tears in her eyes.
"Life is just this, it's living." Whitey sang quietly as she hugged onto Amande's right arm, the two smaller women squishing their male mate and their taller female mate between them.
"You'll get along." The three sang in harmony to Amande who was staring at them wide eyed.
"The pain that you feel. Only can heal, by living." Luffy sang his voice now deeper and more melodic as he stared her in the eye to make sure that this was getting through to her.
"You have to go on living." Luffy and Boa said in unison.
"So one of us is living." He and Whitey said that part but his voice cracked as he wrapped his arms around Amande, and around the other two as well to wrap them all in a hug.
"The hardest thing to do in this world." Boa and Whitey said in unison as they stared at Amande.
"Is live in it." The three shorter ones said and that ended their soul song and Amande collapsed to her knees sobbing.
"Amande-nee-san?" One of her siblings looked heartbroken and horrified as they tried to approach but Amande just held her soulmates tighter.
"I'm sorry that they took you away from your eternal rest…but I'm not sorry that you're alive. If you weren't alive then we wouldn't be able to meet you." Luffy said quietly into her ear as he held them all close, his eyes glancing up to glare death and rage at anyone who got close to his mates.
"We won't ever let you be hurt again." Whitey promised quietly.
"You're ours and we won't let anyone or anything touch what's ours." Boa promised softly as she tightened her arms around the other woman.
"Sengoku just let Ace go. They're distracted and all now dealing with that bomb shell but as soon as they remember why they're here…" Garp was speaking softly to his old friend with tears in his eyes. Sure the woman might be a pirate and one of Big Mom's kids but to learn that the woman had died and gone to heaven only to be dragged back by her mother? Even most of the marines felt heartbroken for her.
"Remember what happened when we tried to execute one of Rogers crew and Silvers Rayleigh and Silver Axe Shakky met and had their soul song? After they were done singing and remembered why they were here they tore through our forces before leaving with that crew member intact alive. Imagine what Warlord, Demon Lady, and Ice Witch could do once they remember that they're here on a rescue mission, much less what Straw Hat will do." Tsuru said on Garps side as Sengoku sighed heavily and released Ace's shackles.
"We'll catch and execute you another day. Be grateful your brother met his soulmate today but don't bet on it happening again." Sengoku said waving Ace off.
"Amande…I…" Big Mom took a step towards her daughter with sorrow and guilt on her face but froze when Whitey, Boa, and Luffy all glared at her with such protective rage that she was surprised she didn't combust under their looks.
"You've done enough to her Big Mom. Leave her alone." Whitey said her voice frigid as she tightened her arms around her older mate, the ice underneath them starting to form into spikes that blocked others from getting near the quartet.
"I-" Big Mom was lost on how to respond, after all she knew she deserved their rage and the way they were so protective of her daughter.
"Back away now." Boa hissed sounding rather snake like as she prepared to turn the woman and any of her subordinates that got close to them to stone, the Haki of an Empress beginning to flood the area.
"Amande-" Just her saying her daugthers name had Amande choking out another sob.
"Old lady I don't give a fuck who you are. If you don't stop making one of my soulmates cry and back the fuck up then I will kick your ass." Luffy growled at her darkly with rage and a furious protective flame in his eye.
"Don't say things you can't back up brat! Soulmates with my daughter or not I will not let any snot nosed brat say those things to me!" Big Mom snarled at Luffy who stood up, untangling from his soulmates, and stood in front of them protectively.
"I'm more than ready to kick your ass old lady." Luffy said without fear while everyone held their breaths, his soulmates moving to stand with him.
"You little-" Big Mom roared as she activated her soul powers, but the souls of Amande, Whitey, Boa, and Luffy didn't emerge.
"FUCK OFF YOU OLD HAG!" Luffy roared at her, unleashing his haki by accident and the sheer force of it far outstripped Boa's light use of it earlier. It was so strong that it actually caused Big Mom to back up a step and sink to one knee.
"You've hurt her more than enough! I'm not letting you near my soulmates ever again!" Luffy's haki coated his voice without him even meaning to as he advanced on Big Mom with a dark furious look on his face. The face of a man ready to do anything to protect his loved ones.
Without him even knowing what he was doing, strong potent haki covered his fist and turned it black with some of the haki almost seeming to dance around his fist.
Slamming his fist into her stomach, while it was still small mind you, he managed to push her back several feet and then she began to throw up both bile and blood. Much to everyone's horror.
"But Mama's iron skin." Smoothie whispered in shock and disbelief at seeing that this rookie had actually managed to hurt her mother.
"Brat's impressive." Izo muttered as he watched what had happened.
"Linlin had that coming to her." Whitebeard said looking disproving of his old crewmate and what she had done and said.
"That was just a warning." Big Mom had several dozen meters over Luffy's small height but he truly appeared to be towering over her and glaring down at her as he stared her down, his fists still coated in Haki.
"She's not going anywhere near you ever again. Try to come near her again and I'll kick your ass and won't hold back." Luffy growled out seeming almost demon like as he glared at Big Mom with his hat shadowing his eyes from most peoples view.
"Now take the rest of your crew and leave." Luffy said turning his back on Big Mom and walking back towards his mates who were staring at him stunned and awestruck.
"You lit-" Big Mom reached one shaky hand out as if to grab Luffy who turned around.
"GO!" The pure amount of Haki behind his shouted word cracked the ice between them and Big Mom scrambled back, the boys will power outstripping her own after everything that had been revealed and had happened.
She immediately followed his order to go back to her ship and leave, her crew scrambling to follow after her and get away from the boy who had hurt their mother so badly that she had thrown up blood from a single punch. Although quite a few of them slipped little pieces of paper to Luffy as they rushed past him, leaving their person Den Den Mushi numbers for their sister to use to call them later. They…they had a lot to talk about if she felt up to it.
"Amande." Luffy now stood over his mates who were all staring up at him, and his serious look melted into a soft one as he stared at them.
"I know it must be hell to be trapped here when you were in heaven…but please give us a chance to show you that it is still a good thing that you're alive." Luffy said softly to the woman who nodded her head slowly, how could she refuse after all when he had just done all of that to her mother?
"We love you Amande and we're happy you're alive even if you aren't. Let us show you that life is still beautiful." Luffy said gently and Amande nodded her head slowly.
"Now come on. Looks like the war's over so we should all probably go before the marines come at us again!" Luffy grinned at them as he helped them up, all of them touching Amande and each other in some way.
"I can't wait to introduce you three to the rest of the crew! They'll be happy to have more Nakama!" Luffy said beaming at his soulmates who all nodded dazedly.
"So…So we're joining your crew?" Whitey asked getting her voice back as she looked at Luffy who grinned at her.
"If you want to! I'd love to have you all with me but I won't force you! It's your choice!"
The fact that he was actually giving them a choice, unlike most pirate captains who demanded that their mates joined their crew or else, just made the decision to join his crew all the more easier.
Especially for Amande who had never been able to really make her own choices before ever since she was born.
"How did you do that with your Haki Luffy-kun?" Boa asked curious about what he had done and if she could learn how to do it too.
"Eh what's Haki?" Luffy tilted his head at them confused as they met up with Ace and were dragged to the Moby Dick.
His three soulmates stared at him and then at each other.
Well looks like they knew that they'd spend the next year or so training their hopefully soon husband.
Of course as soon as his crew got the newspapers and read what happened they all smiled at the first bit and then nodded at the second bit.
Their captain deserved all the love in the world and hopefully three soulmates, all of whom were New World veterans, would be able to calm him down or at least keep him from being so immature and childish all the time.
They also vowed to get stronger in the two years before they met up. Their precious captain was likely to be starting a family with his mates soon, and they were going to die before they let anyone hurt their captains family.
Plus they knew that their captain would be getting stronger which meant they needed to as well.
It seems like they'd have to take out a Yonko once they reached the New World. She had hurt one of their new Nakama and had dared tried to attack or threaten their captain. They wouldn't stand for that kind of thing.
Like Captain like crew after all.
