The week following their discovery, Obito put himself on alert for every possibility.
At present, it was Sunday and he was training with the IMP Crew and Octavia in the Battlefield, a name given by the owl teen when he'd asked Stolas if it was possible to build one.
It was easily 200 yards in diameter with a track, workout equipment, coolers, locker rooms, weapons, targets, and so much more. Obito was forever grateful for the inclusion.
So, here they were, him and Loona fighting in the middle of a circle on the floor, the 'ring', and the others sitting on the sidelines, watching them go.
"Don't just be animalistic! Use your smarts!" Obito instructed as he tossed Loona away, the young wolf woman growling as she rolled to a stop just by the boundary of their circle. "And don't let your anger overtake you! Use it! Focus it!"
She lunged at him again only to be grappled to the floor, from mid-air no less!
His arms were either around her neck from underneath her armpit or tightened hard enough against her midsection for her to know how strong it was.
His legs were in the same position but with one having captured one of her own and the other around her waist.
It was a terrifying position to be in as she blushed bright red and her tail refused to listen to her commands.
"And that is your death," Obito said from beside her ear and Loona cursed herself at how nice that was. "Come on," he said as he stood up and put her on the ground, his foot and a half advantage over her making it easy.
She was mortified as Blitzo cheered from the sidelines.
"YEAH! Get him, honey! You know what you want!"
"S-Shut up, Blitzo!"
"Hmph," Moxxie smirked while Millie giggled a bit. "It's funny."
"Shut it, fatty!" Loona growled before stomping off the stage. "Stupid… fucking… sexy…" She grumbled all the way to the bank as she sat next to Octavia. "Dammit."
"Trouble in Paradise?" The younger teen asked with a chuckle as she got up to face Obito. "You know, you'd probably be better off just saying it, people are really receptive to others speaking their minds."
"Would you go off and get your ass kicked, already?" Loona grumbled and the other girl laughed before doing as told in not so many words.
Watching the two fight got another grumble out of Loona before she heard the crunch of grass from her side.
"What the hell do you want, chub?"
"Can you not?" Moxxie asked with a flat expression and she snorted. "... Look, I just noticed you were… entranced by our newest team member-Wait, stop, don't kill me!" He quickly added as Loona began to bare her fangs.
"Do not fuck with me right now, I'm not here for it."
"S-So it seems," Moxxie said, adjusting the collar of his workout outfit. "Glp, look, what I'm trying to say is, why not go for it?" He asked unsurely and she shot him a look. "I mean, what do you honestly have to lose?"
"... My dignity."
"... Is it that important?" He asked. "I mean, you could find your eternal partner or even one that will be the most memorable for the most of your life, is it really that hard to try and at least see if it'd work?"
"..." Loona's nose scrunched up. "... I have no idea why those words of yours are bothering me and now I'm more confused on how the hell a guy like you got with Millie."
"Oh, well…" He chuckled. "It might be because we met a few times before actually dating," she raised a brow. "Y-Yup! I don't remember which time it was… but some of the few times we met was when I'd gotten stood up on another date, hehe," Moxxie said nervously and she sat up.
"The hell, since when did you have a spine?"
"H-Hey, I'm trying to be helpful!" He shot back and she rolled her eyes.
"Fine, fine, Casanova, how'd it happen?"
"Well, this was after we met a few times, we were kind of friends by then so when she found me she just… walked in," he said with a chuckle. "We decided that, since we were already there, might as well eat from where I'd planned to have my date and so we ate and talked. It was… kind of stupid of me, I'll admit," the imp said, confusing her. "I, uh, didn't pick up on a lot of her hints, as Millie tells me nowadays."
"Snrt," Loona snorted at that as Octavia was thrown overhead to Blitzo's cheers. "That's fucking golden… And yet she still kept tryin', huh?"
"Yeah, she did," Moxxie said with a proud grin. "It was sometime after that I decided to…well, give it a try," he said with a blush. "It took me a while to get the courage, though, trust me, I know how hard it is."
And the fact that she believed him made Loona want to kill herself… but she listened and groaned before facepalming.
"Look, maybe I think he's hot," she admitted with red cheeks, tail wagging much to her indignation. "But I don't like him like that."
"Hmm, I guess Millie kind of jumped the gun on this one," Moxxie admitted with a nervous laugh. "Oh, crumbs."
"... Besides… I wouldn't know if I did like someone, alright?" Loona explained with a sigh, gaining his attention.
"What do you mean?" He asked. "I don't understand, surely, you've liked someone before… right?" Moxxie asked with some surprise as she sighed.
"No, not in your lovey-dovey way, no, all I had were flings," she admitted. "I just wanted to be like the others and they were off fucking, partying, on social media, and all that shit, I've never liked someone like that."
"... Loona, I mean-"
"Look, I get it, I do… thanks, I guess," Loona said with a hand on the back of her head before she sighed. "That said, this isn't what you two think it is, that's basically the situation," she said.
Obito, bastard that he was, was a… kind of cool dude, she guessed.
He seemed to take no bullshit from anyone, especially her, which was a good thing to be. He could cook, make clothes as Octavia told her, and mediate well enough, those were all pretty nice things to possibly want in someone.
He was strong, as Octavia had told her but Loona would admit, she wasn't as good a fighter as the others really thought of her.
She'd gotten into scraps with way stronger Hellhounds, she'd had the scars to show for it.
The Hellhound's ears wiggled.
So, he could be strong, maybe he couldn't, she didn't know.
Still, he could do so many cool things that she didn't think someone like that might even want anything to do with… Fuck, fuck, fuck.
"You alright?" Moxxie asked at the darkness that crossed her face. "Loona?"
"... Just, fucking… Please leave, Moxxie."
"... I-I'm sure we can help."
"Leave me alone, Moxxie."
"... A-Alright, I get it," Moxxie admitted with a wince and Loona actually felt some guilt at that. "Just know, we're here and stuff… it was kind of… Nice, to talk to you without you wanting to kill me, hehe."
He left after that, chatting up with Millie about her mistake.
She shot Loona an apologetic smile and the Hellhound sighed before watching the two in the arena spar.
'I barely know the guy, there's no way I could even like someone like that so easily. What would that say about me if I did?' She asked herself but something within her caused her to grimace. 'Fuck me, don't… don't try and tell me I did!'
She really hoped not.

As the days passed, Stella frowned at the servants moving everything inside.
"Into the storage, into the living room, bring me the phone, I should call my siblings before the day hits," she commanded as they did what they could as speedily as possible. 'Every year and my hair always feels like it's standing on end,' even if they knew ahead of time, had a timer and everything!'
Yet… Stella swallowed as something within her grew cold and she pulled out her cellphone, opening the app that told her the exact date of the Purge. All demons had this app on their phone for the eventual time… so w-why.
Why did looking at the clock cause her blood to cool? What was wrong with this picture?
It was Monday and at the end of the week, the Purge would start… So what caused her to shiver and close it before bypassing the imp who'd brought her the phone?
"Put it… fucking, what's wrong with me?" She asked herself, taking the landline phone from the servant's hands before walking away. 'I need to speak with Obito about this, something is wrong.'
And she didn't know what.
She found him in the kitchen, chatting with that crew of imps her husband told her were the goat's newest associates.
As long as they didn't get dirt on her furniture, she couldn't care less.
"Obito," Stella said as she entered the kitchen, causing Obito to look away from Moxxie's phone's appointment list. "I… Am I insane? I feel something is amiss every time I look at the hellwide clock."
"..." Obito frowned before cupping his chin, eyes narrowing a bit. "... I believe you might be worried due to these supposed criminals coming 'soon'," he said before frowning as Blitzo blinked, swallowing his expensive cracker.
He sipped some tea and cleaned his mouth. "What'd ya mean?" He asked in confusion.
"I never told you all about that demon we passed in the Gluttony Ring last week," Obito explained and the group frowned. "He's a criminal who's assaulted Stolas before… and he's coming after them again, I believe," the goat man said with a frown as the four gaped in shock.
"What?!" Moxxie balked.
"Hold on, how the hell is he not on some list?!" Blitzo said in anger that surprised even himself. "Fucking… Whatever, how has this guy not been caught already?"
"He's stronger than those who've been sent after him," Stella explained with a grimace. "Every criminal like him is dealt with quickly, usually… but that was not the case this time. If he's still walking around, blatantly, and saying something like that… something is going to happen to my family and I-"
"Ma'am," Obito said, eyes steeled. "I promise, nothing will happen to you all, I've already been monitoring the property, I do so every hour on the hour, we will know if something happens."
"... I-I see," Stella let out a shuddering breath before nodding at him. "Impressive as always… and I know it'll stay that way," she said with a sigh. "Yet, my mind is still clouded," she grimaced as she walked out the kitchen, not a word or wave.
"... She's really stressed about this," Obito said and the group frowned.
"I mean, of course, she's torn up about all of this," Millie said with a deepening frown. "Her husband's been attacked before, her kid was near one of these kooks, and now they said they're coming after them again?"
"While that's all true, there's more to it than that," the goat man explained. "Stella-sama is someone who lives on her image, she'd rather die in the ocean than show weakness to something like drowning," Obito said with a snort. "And while she doesn't hate imps, she doesn't think being weak around them is a good thing either… and she just unloaded upon us without a thought to that… she's petrified and I have to solve this."
"I didn't think royalty could even do petrified," Loona said with a crossed arms. "This whole situation is kind of crazy, isn't it? I mean, he's one guy, right?"
"... no, I don't think one cowboy would just mosey on up here and say 'it's just a matter of time'," Millie said with a frown. "No one runnin' solo would say something like that, at least, not as far as I know. If he is sayin' that, it means he's either got a posse… or he's strong enough to just waltz in here and do what he wants and I'd feel like it's easier to think about the first one."
"What was this guy's name?" Blitzo asked.
"Barkem," Obito answered. "I can't say other than that but you saw him, so you have a good description to go off of."
"Thanks," the tall imp said as he got up. "Alright, guys, come on, we've gotta look into this."
"I'll pay you if you do," Obito offered and Blitzo's eyes grew to the size of dinner plates, getting a roll of the eyes from Obito. "Even if you can't find anything big, just having you guys around is something I'll pay you for."
"Eh… we don't really do bodyguard work," the imp said nervously.
"No, not bodyguards… workers," Obito said with a smirk. "Call it temp positions, just be around in case I can't get to them in time. If things go my way, I'll kill all of them in the time it takes for them to reach the manor."
"That's some confidence," Loona said with some surprise, mentally growling at her arousal rising with it. "Y-You know! That you could even say that! Hahaha…" She wanted to just choke to death right now!
"... I wonder if I should call a few old friends of mine," Obito considered out loud. "They're actually Hellhounds like you, Loona," she looked alarmed.
"Whoa, whoa, seriously?!" She balked. "Are they, like, bodyguards?"
"Well, one of them is but the other's strong and violent. That said, the last time I heard from them," Obito winced. "They were in the Ring of Lust, at least, Crymini follows him wherever he goes as they're a good team. Though they throw Hellhound parties in a town where Hellhounds come from, sometimes."
"R-Really?" Loona was intrigued. "I-I've never heard of that place."
"Wait, really?" Obito blinked. "But, I thought all Hellhounds originate from there, how are you surprised?"
"... W-Well…" Loona grimaced before Blitzo came forward with a shaky grin.
"... Alright, it's fine, it's not my business to pry into your private life, I was just surprised," Obito said before pulling a napkin off the table and a pen out of pocket to write something down. "And… here, this is where it is," he said, handing it to Loona who balked.
"Glp, I-I mean, I've never been there, what the hell would I do if I went?!"
"... Well, I told you that my friends throw Hellhound parties, didn't I? I can ask Tex if he doesn't mind me coming over with a plus 1," Obito said with a nod as Loona froze before her tail wagged rapidly while her cheeks reddened.
"T-That so?!" She squeaked and Obito nodded, completely oblivious. 'Oh, fuck me, this ain't good.'
Blitzo wore a grin that reminded Obito of a smug cat.
"I don't follow."
"What?"
"No, sorry, reflex."
"... what?"

Wednesday, the IMP Crew returned with some news.
"So, uh, yeah, some of the people from the Wrath Ring knew him," Moxxie said as Obito served the group some tea. "Thank you… Hmm! This tastes great!" He said with a smile as Millie chuckled.
"Yeah, I spoke with some of my brothers and they apparently knew this guy in some town way back in the Wrath Ring," Millie said before sighing. "The thing is, it was so far back that no one knows him, it's a dead-end in that ring."
"Hmph, I asked all my clients if they'd ever seen this bitch before and they all came back with nothing… well, save for one," Blitzo explained with a frown. "They said they might have seen him but that's it. All we know is that he's currently in the Pride Ring right now."
"I'll go and find him," Obito said as he crossed his arms and closed his eyes. "I marked him just in… Oh, fuck me, that's not good," he said with a frown as his eyes opened, Sharingan on display. "I can't find my mark… it's gone like something washed it off."
"... Odd eyes but okay," Loona said as she tilted her eyes to look at them more. 'I wonder where he got them,' all she knew was that they were cool as shit and she'd like a pair in contacts.
"... Well, this is going to be… fun," Obito thought with a small growl. "Ideas, ideas, ideas," he tapped his noggin in thought. '... Maybe I should give him a visit?' It wasn't the worst idea, it's not like he had many, either. "I'll be right back, alright?" He said.
"Where to?" Millie asked.
"Well… I kind of have an in with the princess," Obito said as he walked off. "I'll be back, hopefully, in under an hour."
"... So, like, are we just going to let him say that?" Loona asked in disbelief. "Has an in with the princes-!" She began to shout only to blush and remember a… ahem, certain detail about the princess's social media history. 'Oh shit, no way!' Wait, wait, wait!
She was just assuming way too much about a guy she just met!

"Ya know," Angel Dust began as he waited within the lobby area of the building he was in. "I kind of get what yer doing… but it just seems kind of stupid," he said slowly as Charlie rubbed the back of her head.
The young woman wore what could only be a showman's outfit consisting of a red blazer, white shirt, black bowtie, black pants, and similar dress shoes, the entire thing custom-fitted down to the neatest detail.
"Listen, I know this can be… eeehh, kinda weird," she began.
"Kinda? Toots, you're trying to turn hellions into saints!"
"I mean… yeah, that's kind of the idea," Charlie said with a sigh. "I mean, think of it this way, wouldn't you want more people around like that guy that helped you?"
"Look, I want a lot about that guy that helped me," Angel Dust retorted. "His face, his body, his dick, you name it, I want it, but there are these things called 'exceptions' which, last I checked, aren't the rule."
"But you came, still," she countered and Angel grimaced.
"That was too easy," he said with a shake of the head. "Besides that, who knows why I'm here, maybe it's the rent, maybe it's to have fun, maybe it's so I don't have to go back to my bitchass douche of an employer."
"You never did tell me that much about you, Angel Dust?" Charlie considered. "I mean, wouldn't that help, at least?" She hoped it did.
Just under two weeks with this guy was even beginning to test her own patience.
'Why couldn't it have been the one from the alleyway,' she complained in her head.
If such an obviously good person could come to her-
Charlie and Angel Dust blinked at a swirl in the air, the space distorted into a spiral before it deposited a body.
Obito rolled his neck as he stood up, looking around for a bit before his eyes landed on Charlie.
Dressed in a long-sleeved purple shirt with a v-neck and black cargo pants, Obito tapped his clawed feet against the floor carefully before addressing the princess of hell.
"Ah, good afternoon, Magne-sama-"
"You came!" Charlie leaped from her chair to Obito, the goat man barely catching her in his arms as the door, a bit further back of the lobby, opened.
It was a gray-skinned young woman who blinked a sole visible eye that had pink sclera and a white iris with the other being covered by a pink 'X' that defied reason. Her hair was long and white, her tresses having a pale pink at the ends, the big pink bow at the back of her head's tails coming down to her knees.
Dressed in a white mini-dress with gray Xs over her chest, and one of the straps down to her bicep, she also wore bicep-length gray gloves and two asymmetrical stockings with pink as their main color.
"Vaggie, it's the mystery nice demon!" Charlie declared with stars in her eyes as Obito sweatdropped. "I was just thinking about you and you came!"
"Oi! Phrasing!" Angel Dust announced as he got up off one of the couches. "Geez, you just pop in and out, huh? Ever thought about a different kind?" He suggested, waggling his eyebrows.
"D-Did you change your mind?!" Charlie hoped so! "Come on! I've got to show you all the amenities!"
"Charlie, let him talk," Vaggie said with a sigh before facing Obito with a hand rubbing the back of her head. "Right, so, you're that guy from the night we picked up Angel… wanna make a trade? We have free rent."
"Apologies but I didn't come for that," Obito said and sighed at the whining princess. "I know, I know, but I told you, I have far too much to atone for. Hell, in hell, even now, this life I live feels far more… kind than I'd ever expected," he said with a frown.
"What?" Angel Dust said in confusion as he stood next to Obito. "Huh, same height," he said, measuring his hand on his head to Obito's. "No, wait, focus! What the hell do you mean hell's good to ya?! Where do you live?! Do you need a live-in stripper?!"
"No, please, listen," Obito said. "I work for Stolas Ars Goetia," Vaggie and Charlie looked surprised.
"Uh, who?" Angel Dust asked.
"One of the Goetic Demons? The ones who stand above Overlords but aren't the Demon Princes…" Nothing. "Angel, have you looked outside a window before?"
"Eeeeh, same view, different crazy," the spider demon said as he circled the goat man for a bit. "But, might I say, your view is definitely one I could see from night and day!" He said as he sidled up to Obito's back, patting his rear before the goat had him in his tail. "Kinky!"
"What is wrong with him?" Obito asked and Charlie whined as he set her down. "Aren't you at this hotel for reformation, I mean, yes, it's been less than two weeks but I'd expect some effort."
"Come on! I'm a sinner like yas! Don't be mean to little ol' me!"
"I'm barely heated," Obito grunted before depositing the demon on the floor. "Long story short, I've been the butler for Stolas Ars Goetia for the past decade and more. We're currently in a situation of someone trying to attack the family and I'm here to see if you all haven't heard of a man by the name of Barkem."
"They're being what?!" Charlie choked. "W-When was this?!"
"Since a week ago," Obito explained. "Right now, I'm working alongside some people I hired to help me protect them, especially since Stella-sama… she's been having a bad feeling about the clock tower."
"Eh… Oh, right, shit," Angel paled a bit. "Right, the fucking Exorcists! Please tell me we're safe here!" He asked Charlie who nodded quickly.
"We are. From what my dad told me, there's a powerful bunker underneath the hotel, we should be fine," she said and Obito nodded.
"That's good, I'd expect no less from the King of Hell when it comes to his daughter's safety," Charlie blushed a bit, fingers touching. "Still, do you happen to know someone of that name, he was also in the Black Bible."
"You looked at the Black Bible?" Vaggie asked in disbelief, eying the goat demon with confusion before coming closer and observing him some more. 'There's no way… right?' To view a Black Bible meant you had a certain amount of power.
Power to not be sucked into its pages, power to bring it to your will and demand the page you needed even if with vague instructions.
"... Yes?"
"... No, sorry, I didn't mean to be rude," Vaggie said with a hand on the back of her head. "And, as for this Barkem guy, sorry but I've never heard of him."
"The Black Bible… what did he do?" Charlie asked.
"He attacked Stolas before, I assume before he was married," Obito assumed and she nodded.
"Before Stolas was married… Wait, that's right, I follow Octavia on Hellogram!" She declared, confusing Obito.
"Hellogram?" He asked and Charlie blinked for five seconds before burning bright red. "... Magne-sama?"
"It's nothing!" Charlie squeaked as her eyes flickered to Obito's stomach before focusing back on the task at hand. "I-It's nothing. So, right, before she was born…" She looked around. "Vaggie."
"Angel, come over here, it's dangerous to be near that thing," the one-eyed sinner said as Angel Dust raised a brow. "No, seriously, it's dangerous."
"She's right," Obito said as Charlie pulled something out of the ether, a familiar black book. "The Black Bible is not to be trifled with, go stand with-"
"So, all I have to do is not see it, right?" Angel Dust asked and Obito sighed before nodding. "Then I'll just hide right here," he said, hugging Obito from behind before nuzzling his neck, much to the twitching eyebrow of the goat man. "Hmm~ Warm and soft, your fur routine must be crazy good!"
Vaggie facepalmed as Charlie smiled encouragingly.
Maybe having him around helped focus Angel Dust? Maybe?
For now, she opened the Black Bible and breathed in and out before focusing intently.
"Barkem," she said to it and the pages swirled around her, rapid flipping filling her ears. "I said, Barkem!" Charlie tried again and they seemed to slow but she sighed as it wasn't what she needed-
"Barkem."
The pages froze before a furred hand plucked a page from the moving bunches and the book closed once more.
Charlie gaped at Obito as he handed her the page. "Y-You stopped it?!" She uttered in total confusion as Obito raised a brow. "I-I…"
'So I was right,' Vaggie thought with some disbelief. 'No, he stopped the pages completely, the only people capable of such a thing are…'
High-Level Demons… and hadn't he said he worked for Stolas? And he viewed the Black Bible over there as well? Stolas probably didn't want to let this guy go!
'Still, what kind of mortal was he?' Vaggie didn't know how well this translated to Overlords much less higher-leveled demons. 'Add on that I've only ever seen Charlie do it and she's supposed to be stronger than an Overlord… maybe,' so was he, too, stronger than an Overlord? 'It'd be an Alastor situation all over again… but maybe a lot better?'
Time would tell.
Charlie looked at Obito with confusion before smiling.
"I'm glad you're a good person," she said with a nod as Obito raised a brow.
"Can I open my eyes now?" Angel Dust asked as he hummed pleasantly, snuggling into Obito's back. "On second thought, don't wake me up!"
"Good morning," Obito said as he lifted him off his back with his tail before placing Angel on the floor. "So, what do you think of him, Magne-sama?"
"Umm… You could just call me 'Charlie'," Charlie suggested as Vaggie hummed. "I understand a bit of all the cultures so I know you're being polite but 'Magne-sama' would be more my parents… so…" She suggested.
"... Very well, Charlie-ojou-"
"Just Charlie's fine!" She insisted and Obito snorted.
"Fine, Charlie, what do you think of this individual?" Obito asked and she grinned before focusing on Barkem's page before shaking it twice.
His form came into existence and the four looked at him.
"Well… Does he look the same?" Charlie asked and Obito nodded. "O-Oh… that's not good."
"It's not."
"What are ya talkin' about? So he didn't get a new look, ain't nothing wrong with rocking what works," Angel Dust said as Vaggie grimaced.
"Angel, for him to have attacked a Goetic Demon and get away while living to this day even with pursuers… he's being bold with not changing his looks, he's confident and that's not good," she tried to explain.
Angel frowned, raising a brow at the four-legged man. "... You think he's got a dick like his legs?"
"Moving on," Obito insisted. "So, none of you have seen this man before?"
"... Actually," Angel Dust began and Vaggie groaned.
"No sex jokes!" She insisted with fire in her eye and the spider demon rolled his pair.
"Ironically enough, 'sex' is a part of this," he said with a frown and Charlie and Obito raised brows at that. "When I was getting my stuff… he came by the porn house I work at," Angel said and Obito's eyes narrowed. "Yeah, it was in Val's room and I was passing by when I looked through a crack in his door… he was asking him to get in on something but Val didn't want a part in it and said his associates also didn't want in, so he means Vox and Velvet."
"... Angel Dust," Obito turned around and looked the prostitute in the eyes. "Is your pimp an Overlord?"
"... How'd ya guess?"
"Oh, fuck me, that ain't good."
"Well, I mean, we could try~"
"For the love of God," Obito sighed. "Okay, okay, did he say anything else? Perhaps something to do with this plan which I'm sure is going to happen during the Purge?"
"O-Oi, don't joke about that kind of stuff!" Even Angel grimaced at the idea. "A-And, there's no way, right? They'd get sniped from the moment they even walked outside!"
"Yes, they would, wouldn't they?" Obito considered with a growing frown. "And that could possibly mean they have either something to delay the Purge to keep us in one place, an item to have the Exorcists ignore them, or, more worryingly enough, they're going to try and drag us out there during it."
"That sounds insane," Vaggie said with a frown. "... I want to say that no one would go that far… but they are demons, so they're likely going to do something no matter how unwise it'd be."
"S-Shouldn't I tell my father?" Charlie asked with concern. "If he's been on the run for as long as he has been, then surely my father would want him dead."
"I'd appreciate it but how long would that take?" Obito asked and Charlie grimaced. "Can he get here before the Purge? Or would he not even be able to? The elevator locks in two days and the Purge is the following one. Could he traverse the Rings to get here in that time?"
Charlie frowned. "He's currently in this Ring but I know what you mean… Mm-Maybe, I know that Stolas can make portals, maybe he can get him? But… then, I'm confused, why hasn't he told my father yet?"
Obito cupped his chin in thought. "I don't know," he admitted. "Still… If I know now… Charlie, a quick question, how big is your bunker again?"
~NRK~
"And he returns," Stolas said as Obito appeared in the kitchen, the VIPs and IMP Crew within it. "What's the news?"
"He's trying to gather Overlords," Obito said and the group choked in one breath. "I don't know if he's got any notable ones, hell, I don't know any notable Overlords to begin with," the goat man considered with a curse under his breath. "I really should have known already."
"What's done is done, we can't change the past," the owl man said. "For now, did you figure anything else out?"
"Nothing else about Barkem but the princess is curious as to why you haven't informed Lucifer-sama," Obito said and Stolas sighed.
"He can't," Stella said as the owl man sighed once more. "This… this is still hell, Obito, you may have the princess's favor but she is not a normal demon," she reminded him and Obito facepalmed.
"Hell is annoying," he said and she smiled.
"It is," Stella continued. "Lucifer has order in hell, that is true, but the fact remains that anything and everything is allowed with few limitations, we're demons, it's simply a matter of whenever our wants overlap."
"The fact remains that this is my problem," Stolas said. "Barkem doesn't seem to care about the royalty, so far, if he doesn't then Lucifer has no reason to intervene, this isn't his problem."
"Isn't this just a matter of time, though, your majesty?" Moxxie asked. "If he did topple you, what's stopping him from moving on and trying to topple the other Goetic Demons?"
"He's right, your Highness, wouldn't this cause 'em to just act sooner?" Millie supported. "Surely, if Lucifer realizes his daughter might be in trouble, he'd do somethin'."
"Perhaps but demons can be rather fickle and lazy," Stolas explained.
"Lucifer still won't care, most likely," Stella added on. "Once again, it's hell we're talking about."
"This whole situation fucking sucks," Loona said. "So, what are you guys going to do?"
"Well, Obito's made us aware that they might wish to bring us out into the Purge, somehow," Stolas said with a frown. "I don't know how they'd do such an insane thing, it's simply not considerate to try and bring us outside."
"So, we say but I want us to be on our toes," Obito said. "Sir, ma'am, ojou-sama, until the Purge is over, I'll have a clone shadow you."
"I'm fine with that," Stolas said.
"Our lives are in your hands," Stella answered with a nod.
"Alright," Octavia smiled. "Still, I'm assuming you have more ideas."
"I do," Obito said before turning to the IMP Crew. "And, you guys might be able to help me with that."
~NRK~
The days following the new information left Obito to plan and make sure things were set up.
Come Friday, the Level Down was closed and many demons began to do the same for their shops and businesses.
Obito frowned as he looked at the clock tower once more.
'Something's wrong," the time beneath the clock tower's clock, had that always been a thing? 'Is that a new addition? Why's it there?' Opening his phone, he frowned at the clock tower app's time… it'd been changed to this new number timing?
What?
He frowned as he walked away from it, senses spreading out to feel for everything just in case.
Why the sudden change near the Purge? Looking at the app info, he clicked on the Quacker emblem in the details.
A Change That Should Have Been Done Is Done A Bit Too Late!
The article spoke about the developers and their change in the situation.
Yet, why? There weren't going to be any stores open that he knew of, at that time. Why give such a specific countdown?
'I don't like this,' Obito realized with a grimace before calling the IMP Crew. "Blitzo… Whatever that clock says, no ifs, ands, or buts, ignore it and stay inside the entire second half of today, I think Stella-sama was right… there's something off about the clock tower and I don't like it one bit."
-Gotcha-
Obito nodded before stepping into a still open antique shop. "Excuse me, do you have wiretaps?"
~NRK~
Angel Dust was in the kitchen of his newest home when he heard a sound from behind him.
Turning away from the stove in his pink sweater and white apron, he chuckled at the sight of Obito.
"More bad news?" He asked as he continued baking his lasagna, grinning as he heard the timer ding. "Actually, you want some of this lasagna?!" Angel asked. "Ever since you told that girl to bring in more fresh food, I've had an urge to cook!"
"You can cook?" Obito asked, placing his bags on the table. "Lasagna… I'll take some but I want to speak with all of you about the clock tower."
With a little bit of searching, Obito's quickly made clones found and retrieved the hotel's 'staff' and owner.
The group ate at the dinner table as Angel proudly smiled at them enjoying his food. "Yes, I'm actually quite multi-talented, people!" He said as Vaggie grumbled.
"Then why not become the hotel's cook?" Charlie asked with a smile as she ate. "Mmm! I didn't know you could cook, Angel!"
"Heh, one, I wouldn't want to be more busy with free rent, cross-eyes," Angel said to Vaggie whose eyebrow twitched. "Two, I was a super-Italian in my previous life! If I didn't know how to cook, at least a bit, I'd be a total eyesore!"
"Not working all that well now is it?" Vaggie asked aggressively but Angel's smug grin got a growl out of her.
"I'll have you know, I'm a hit for my looks and my cooks!" He said.
"Hmph, Italian… I haven't dealt with Italian yet," Obito said as he put his fork down, three-fourths of his food down. "Now, the reason I called you all here was to tell you that I don't trust the clock tower."
"Why?" Vaggie asked with a tilt of the head. "I mean, yeah, that new development was… a bit late, especially since the Purge is tomorrow," she said with a frown.
"... You don't think Barkem had something to do with it… do you?" Charlie asked in horror. "B-But that shouldn't be possible! The developers for the clock tower are highly guarded due to their job! How would that be…"
"... I see," Obito closed his eyes as he leaned back in his seat, arms also crossing. "... Charlie, are you capable of interacting with the developers of the clock tower?"
"U-Um, I'd need clearance from my dad but that's not possible and, even if it was, how can we be sure it's someone within the clock tower?"
"We're not sure but knowing is better than being unsure but we're in for a rough ride, it seems, thanks by the way," Obito said with a bow towards her and Charlie blushed, choked, and shook her head repeatedly.
"No, it's fine! Helping my people isn't something I think I should be thanked for," Charlie said but the three others shot her blank looks. "W-What?"
"Charlie… I love you, I really do, but that sounded retarded," Vaggie said with a flat look as Charlie's mouth puckered inward. "You do remember you're in hell, right? We don't need to see a therapist, do we?"
"I thinks she was always a bit kooky but, sometimes, she might be a bit off in the head, ya know?" Angel Dust wondered as the princess of hell shrunk in on herself.
"... You might want to look at hell again," Obito said straightforwardly.
"Stop bullying me!"
~NRK
The afternoon saw the group in the bunker which was a rather spacious area that was half a football field in diameter with a library in the back by an electric campfire, a workout, and sparring, area and showers near the right side, a kitchen area opposite the library area and, finally, the entryway was opposite the workout area, several traps, sentry guns, and steel reinforcing it.
The staff had all been sent home sans Billy, so all that was left were those in the bunker.
Currently, Stolas's family, the IMP Crew in staff uniforms, and Charlie's hotel crew sat around in different places.
Stolas and Vaggie were reading some of the books in the library while Charlie, Moxxie, Obito, and Angel Dust stood in the kitchen. Blitzo, Octavia, Stella, and Loona were situated near the sparring area, the entirety of the group in their usual daily wear with Obito wearing his butler attire along with Billy who was currently hanging high in the air by the ceiling on a large chandelier.
"So, your Highness, can you tell me about Obito?" Vaggie asked Stolas who hummed with a smile. "He's so… irregular, it's hard to place him."
"Well… Obito is from another world's afterlife entirely," she gasped in disbelief at his words, the action getting a chuckle out of him. "Oh, he probably doesn't lead with that but, yes, Obito's afterlife had hell and a place where souls, even those who've killed, can enter a cycle of life, death, and rebirth. He called it The Pure Lands."
"That's insane," she said in shock, looking at Obito as he taught those around him something about his cooking. "I… He's incredibly powerful," Vaggie said out loud and Stolas chuckled. "He caused the pages of the Black Bible-"
"To freeze, yes?" He finished for her and Vaggie nodded. "Obito's world was one of hardship, bloodshed, and assassination. He was a ninja in his past life," she gaped. "And, well, as much as he wouldn't say it… he was possibly one of the most powerful at his death."
"... It all makes sense, now," she said.
"Well, he's got quite a few mysteries in him for you to solve."
"... N-No, wait, like, no offense to him but I like girls."
"Experimentation is never a bad thing, Ms. Vaggie."
"Hmph," Stella held up a gun and shattered another target before moving onto the next. "This has always been kind of boring," she uttered as Octavia stood next to her.
The owl teen reared back before tossing her morning star-and-chain's weight at a target, crunching the middle of the bullseye and pulling it back.
"It is kind of fun, mother," Octavia said with a smile as she took aim and crumbled another target. "And we get better at protecting ourselves, too."
"Be that as it may, Octavia, I've done this for years, the art of using a gun has never left me. I simply never use it," Stella said as she shot a corner of the target range.
It pinged off a metal brace before slicing through a target and shattering another.
"Whoa…" Octavia gaped and Stella smirked.
"That's impressive, ma'am!" Millie said with a grin as she cleaved through a rotating wooden pole, the friction rebuffed her but the small imp fought through and cut it down. "Why, I'm surprised you spent so much time using a gun and did nothin' with it."
"Hmph, I was done with gunplay when I became nobility," the owl woman said as Blitzo and Loona raised their brows.
"No offense, lady but, uh, what?" Blitzo asked and Loona rolled her eyes.
"What he means is, we're in hell, I doubt giving it up would be a good idea," the Hellhound translated and Stella huffed.
"I… That's not what I expected nobility to be like," Stella said and Octavia blinked at the faraway look on the owl's face. "It's supposed to be for demons who escape that silly lifestyle outside and-"
"Mom?" Stella froze and put her gun down. "W-Wait, you were saying-"
"Octavia," the teen froze and rubbed her arm. "You've done nothing wrong I… I'll be in the kitchen," she said and walked off, leaving a confused quartet of demons.
"I don't understand," the owl teen said.
"... I don't think she wants to speak about what happened to her in the past," Loona said with a hand on Octavia's shoulder. "I can understand that much," she said.
"Trust me when I say this, she's probably gonna explode all over you about what's bothering her, that's typically how TV does it," Blitzo said as he shattered a target with his handgun.
"I guess."
"It's a thing loved ones will do but it eventually comes out," Millie said with a smile.
"So, you've got, like, a million trap ideas, dontcha?" Angel Dust asked before his eyes shined at the sight of the sugar. "Mmmm, oh, wait, no, that's just sugar," he said but his eyes gained a curious gleam.
"Angel, for the love of God, don't treat sugar like crack," Obito said.
"I wasn't going to treat it like crack."
"Not PCP either."
"Damn, have you done either, how'd ya figure me out?!"
"I've learned to not be so ignorant and no I don't do drugs," Obito said immediately after, raining on Angel's parade. "Now, has anyone here baked a cake before?" He asked the group.
"I have," Moxxie said with a grin. "I make one for Millie's birthday, our anniversary, and the day of our first date," he said and Charlie squealed.
"Awww! I wish I could bake! Vaggie and I haven't been dating for that long yet but I've always just bought a cake instead of making one," Charlie admitted with a nervous chuckle. "I don't know how to bake."
"Eh, I can only make Angel Food Cake," Angel Dust said with a smirk as Obito groaned at him and Charlie giggled a bit along with Moxxie. "Hey, now, ya gotta love yerself somehow and that's how I manage my overflow," he said with all six of his arms, so he did have another set, around his body and hugged it.
"... Right, so, Moxxie, help me lead them through normal cakes."
"On it," the imp smiled as they moved about. "So, I've noticed that that imp above us doesn't really speak," he said as he picked out all his bowls. "Is he mute?"
"Well, from what I understand about Billy, that's his name," Obito said, Moxxie nodding. "You're right, he's mute in that he can't say words but he can make sounds. He came to us give or take five years ago and I've been his instructor."
"Man, this place is sounding better and better the more I hear about it," Angel said and grunted at Charlie's kicked puppy look. "I ain't going anywhere, I'm just… uh, looking for better employment!" He snapped his finger at the idea. "You think your bosses are hiring?"
"... W-Well, that wouldn't be a bad idea," Charlie considered with a finger to her chin. "Are they, Obito?"
"Not as of late," Obito said with a shake of the head. "Apologies."
"Eh, it was a shot," Angel said with a smirk. "And it's not like I hate my line of work as a freelancer."
"You're a freelancer?" Charlie asked and Angel's smirk widened. "Of w… O-Oh," she blushed a bit.
"Not asking, I can guess," Obito said before shaking his head. "Now, observe," he said as he gestured to their ingredients.
Moxxie and he went to work, explaining the steps as they did them, Charlie and Angel Dust nodding at those moments.
Ten minutes later, the two pushed them into the oven.
"That's the simplest way of doing it," Obito said with a nod as Charlie smiled and Angel smirked. "So, I'm curious, Charlie. What is the curriculum for your hotel?"
"Curriculum?" Moxxie blinked. "I mean, I thought it was a hotel."
"I-It's a hotel to redeem sinners, Moxxie!" Charlie declared, getting an 'eh?' out of the imp. "Think about it, if we can prove even one demon can be redeemed, that means there are always chances for everyone."
"Um, well, you see, your Majesty, I…" Moxxie tried to find the words. "Well, you do mean just sinners, right?"
"Well, I mean if real demons wanted to turn their lives around, I wouldn't reject them, that's for sure."
"... I understand the concept but I think you're undertaking of this task might have been a bit… premature," she slumped. "T-That is to say, ma'am, that you've jumped so many ropes, loops, and stones to making an entire hotel for it! Wouldn't it have been better to have started small? Maybe with classes or something?" Moxxie asked, trying to raise her hopes.
Did he believe in such an insane thing? He couldn't say he did, demons on principle were, crude as it was to say, assholes. It was their MO.
Moxxie wasn't an idiot, he killed people for his job and didn't really feel that much about it most of the time. Sure, he didn't relish it like Blitzo did but he didn't turn away from the idea.
He was a bad person at the core even if he knew he wasn't really like other demons.
"... classes?" Charlie looked up with confusion on her face before she stood to her full height, which was about two heads below Obito and Angel Dust. "I… I didn't think about it like that," she realized with a wince.
"You're going to make mistakes with any new undertaking," Moxxie said. "I would know, my first time on the job, I knew I wasn't doing as well as I should have, I can see that now, looking back."
"It's not wrong to say your heart's in the right place but your mind hasn't caught up, Charlie," Obito said and she winced a bit before nodding. "The fact remains, how much of this did you really think through? Did you account for the backlash?"
"I mean, I know demons aren't going to just jump at it," Charlie said as Angel rubbed the back of his head. "But wouldn't everyone like a hell where they don't have to worry about their neighbors trying to kill them?"
"You're assuming everyone is gonna be gung-ho about doing it," Angel said. "You ever think that they would but they'll be all like 'Yeah, I can't wait for that dick, Joe, to not try to kill me when I walk my pig!' and they're in it for that much but they don't want to be the changers. It's people you're dealin' with who are in hell, they're already stuck in a lot of shitty takes."
"..." Charlie considered their words. "... I know, I know, I probably jumped into the deep end too soon."
"W-Well, ma'am, that's-" Moxxie began to say but Charlie raised her hand. "R-Right!" He clamped his hands over his mouth but blinked at her smile.
"I'm thankful, Moxxie, really. And, please, call me 'Charlie'," she said before standing to her full height. "I get that I'm not going to get it right, I'm glad others will tell me that in good faith outside of Vaggie. And, you're right, Angel Dust, I need to consider everyone's difficulty level."
"I said that?" Angel Dust asked Obito who sweatdropped at him. "Man, I must be really good at this public speaking thing."
"Hm, hm, you might be," Charlie teased. "And, I think you're right, Moxxie, in that I should have started small, I kind of just ran with it."
"... Going outside of your comfort zone is something I've learned recently," Moxxie said. "C-Charlie," she grinned. "S-So, Obito's right in that your heart's where it wants to be but you need more experience."
"Yeah, I see it," she said with a grin. "Obito's also right, I should have at least given my hotel an actual curriculum," Charlie considered.
"If nothing else, flying by the seat of one's pants can work," Obito added. "But, not a lot of people can do that," not everyone could pull a Naruto, so to speak.
"I'm thankful to all of you," she said as the oven dinged. "... I don't think cakes cook that fast."
"Bake, Charlie, and they don't," Obito said with a smirk as he popped the oven open, allowing four fiery wisps to come out before fading away. "Normally. And, well, normally you'd wait a bit of time but I've explained that already," he said as he pulled the cake pans out without a glove and placed them on some cooling racks. "Now, let's do the last part," he said as Moxxie grinned and retrieved some colored icing from the fridge.
"I'm calling pink!" Angel declared as Charlie grinned.
"I want yellow!"
Obito smirked.
Twenty minutes later, the entirety of the group moved to the kitchen's large table that fit their numbers, everyone was handed a piece of cake as Stolas pressed a button on a remote.
A large screen came down from the ceiling with Billy on it before turning on, the image of Goetia Manor on its screen. Another screen came down and held the clock tower in the city proper.
"It's almost time," Stolas said as he looked at the screen. "An hour-"
The lights flickered and the screen went black.
"What?!" Charlie shot up out of her feet. "What's… Why'd the lights go out?!"
There was the sound of whirling and the lights came back on.
"The backup generators," Stolas said as the screen came back on. "... what?!" He stared at the screen in confusion along with everyone else.
The screen with the clock tower… the sky… it was-!
"Exorcists?!" Stella choked on her breath in confusion. "W-What?! What happened?! Why are the Exorcists here early?!"
"Something touched the boundary," Obito announced, eyes blazing red as his tomoe spun. "It was tiny, insignificant, but the moment before the lights went out… something hit the boundary between hell and heaven, the Pentagram."
The group watched in morbid fascination as the Exorcists moved about, doing as they did every year…
"... Something's wrong," Stolas realized in horror as the Exorcists moved about the streets as they thought… but a large batch of them left that part of the city… over half their forces ignoring the denizens in the middle court. "Where… where are they going?" He asked the others as they all stood up, something traveling up their spines as they watched screens. "What's going on?!"
"... Oh, no," Obito said in horror. "Everyone! We're going to Goetia Manor!" He said as his eyes burned bright red.
~NRK~
They all landed into the Kamui Dimension.
"Come on, we have to go!" Obito said with a frown as they got up. "They locked onto your energy, scent, something!" He said to Stolas whose eyes widened in horror. "Barkem, he had something to do with this?"
"... A tracking spell," Stella realized in horror. "H-He splattered the Pentagram in a form of liquid tracking spell! If they get splattered with such a substance the moment they get here-"
"They'll be none the wiser to their change in directive!" Octavia realized in horror. "T-Then why can't we stay in here-"
Obito's eyes widened in horror before his form blurred away.
The sound of an explosion up above caught the group's attention… and when they looked up, they saw Obito kicking away a figure whose spear fell to the floor of one of the Kamui Blocks, the large pillars in Obito's dimension.
A spear… of an Exorcist.
"They can get in!" Obito shouted to them, making a Wood Clone. "Take them to the manor!" He ordered it and the copy nodded before rushing the group.
"Come, we have to go," the copy said as the sound of flapping wings echoed in the space. "NOW!" He shouted.
The group ran but the sound of several pieces of metal crashing against stone caused them to flinch before heat, bright orange colors, and the sounds of explosions reached them.
~NRK~
They were deposited into the manor a moment later.
"Fuck! We have to go back!" Octavia shouted at the copy who shook his head. "Obito i-if we don't!"
"Listen to me, Octavia," the clone said, kneeling down. "The fact of the matter is, none of you are safer than I am right now," he said seriously and she flinched. "They can traverse dimensions, I should have known better. Getting into the Kamui Dimension, whenever I open a point, that point stays 'open', sort of, when I'm traveling to another mark. They can traverse such points on their own and I didn't realize it. You all can't stay here," Obito said.
"W-Where can we go?" Stella asked and Charlie swallowed.
"... They can't traverse the Rings, can they?" Obito asked and the princess choked.
"W-Wait! If they lose track of them t-then they might-"
"Come after me, yes," Obito said with narrowed eyes. "I'm counting on it," he said with a glare at the space behind them. "Right now, get out of here, keep running towards the edge of the world, somewhere. I can't sense them right now and they're not fast enough to just traverse the cities with ease, it'll take them, give or take, six hours to get here."
"W-Whoa, hold on, dude, these guys will kill you if they hit you!" Angel Dust said with a frown. "You won't come back from that!"
"When I'm outside of the Kamui Dimension, I'll be fine," Obito explained. "Right now, I have to get all of you-"
The building rumbled and the group realized they'd made another mistake.
The manor had likely been the original target, no?
~NRK~
He broke another one's neck before folding another over his knee, sending them crashing into one another atop a pillar.
'They're durable,' he'd learned of these guys, at least.
They held a natural advantage over sinners and normal demons, seeing as they were holy beings. That said, their weapons could kill a demon, not themselves.
They were durable enough to take a few good hits from even him but he hadn't gone into his Demon Stage, as he called it, since Lucifer preferred a circus outfit.
Still, Obito looked to his side where he saw some of his weapons, the angels seemed easy around the idea of him even having them so he'd do his best to live up to their expectations.
… Or not!
His Sharingan blazed and he caught several of the angels in his genjutsu, the five attacking their comrades as he blurred to his stash.
He picked up a chain that glowed with red lines about its form before grabbing several energy-restraining stakes by their rings.
The Exorcists downed their entranced comrades and rushed him but Obito smirked.
His chains clattered.
~NRK~
They rushed out the back, the three large cars owned by the owls used.
"Fucking!" Loona grimaced as she did her best to control the wheel. "Millie, switch with me!" She shouted at the female imp who nodded and jumped into her lap. "Dammit!"
"I can't reach the pedals!" Millie explained as she dodged a bush, the group's cars slipping into the large, Stolas-sized, hedge maze in the back of the estate. "Dammit! Your Highness! Why?!"
"It looked from great above!" Stolas explained through a walkie-talkie before grimacing. "Rush through it! It can be fixed!"
The groups did, the hedges were thankfully not that thick and easily breakable.
"Haa," the Obito clone in the IMP Crew car sighed, the copy having made one for each vehicle. "... Oh, no," he said with horror. "Turn the cars around, now!" He shouted into the walkie-talkie! "We're running into an ambush!"
The cars screeched to a halt and it was only thanks to Obito that they weren't caught by a large, dome-shaped, chunk of land that came up like the mouth of a whale.
"Hahahaha!" Came a familiar voice that caused Obito's pupils to dilate into slits. "No! Dammit! I almost caught them!"
Over the large mound of dirt came a familiar snake man along with two other figures.
One of them seemed to be a succubus as she ported the shared trait of pink skin and horns with thick eyelashes but she had black sclera for her pink eyes.
She was tall, likely the same height as Angel Dust, and had a long devil's tail. Her hair was light blue and long with two small pigtails at the upper back of her head, the rest of the hair falling to her backside.
Wearing a bright white dress that barely fell to her thighs, similar-colored leg warmers, black heels, and a fox around her neck, she grinned at the vehicles.
And, yes, Obito had meant fox as the living black-furred coat looked at them with yellow eyes without pupils.
"So, we might finally get the best up in this shitty place!" She said with a big grin as the parrot man at Sir Pentious's side chuckled.
"Yes, my dear Mariem, we'll have the best view for ourselves!" He said with a flourish of his large red cape.
He was a red parrot demon of some sort with a long cape that tied at his collar with a big yellow star.
His facial feathers were white and his pupil-less red eyes were covered by a yellow visor.
Wearing a white dress shirt and red slacks, his feet were bare and a feathered fusion between a parrot's foot and a human's.
"Of course, Red Caesar, my beloved!"
"Yes, my sweetheart?!"
"Would you two get over it?!" Pentious shouted with a hiss and twitching eyebrows. "We've made our dramatic entrance! We can't let this chance… they ran away!"
"I'm going to kill that snake!"
"Yeah, well… that's hot."
"What?"
"What?"
"You've got it so bad," Millie teased the wolf girl who blushed. "Golly, more gas!"
The cars tore across the yard of the estate.
"They've got a ton of egg soldiers who I think are robots," Obito said over the walkie-talkie to the other cars. "I don't know if Sir Dumbass over there is an Overlord or not but he's some sort of inventor."
"Goodness, I don't think he's ever been so heated before," Stolas said as they tore across the grass. "It'd be so refreshing if we weren't fearing for our lives, Obito!" He said to the clone behind him.
"Yes!" Stella said as her eyes moved every which way. "I agree-Tree!"
They swerved off target before the sounds of spinning fans reached their ears.
"Incoming!" Octavia shouted into the walkie-talkie, seated between Obito's legs.
"You filthy fucking assholes, I'm going to rip off your limbs and shove them up your ass!" Vaggie's eye narrowed and rage exuded from her form as Charlie patted her back nervously.
'She broke out the wicked Spanish again,' well, it's not like it was unwarranted. "Are you alright, Obito, Billy?"
"We're good!" Obito said as he held onto Billy.
"Hey, what… about me?!" Angel Dust asked only to hug Obito's side. "Never mind!"
"Dammit!"
Loona grimaced as she tossed their wheel to the side, barely dodging the missile that destroyed the ground. "Exorcists! Demons! Overlords! And bullshit goat men!" She growled as she tossed the wheel to the other side, Millie chuckling in her lap.
"Yup, it's always complicated, Loona," she said and the wolf teen snorted.
"It's been almost 20 minutes, we've made a ton of distance from the house, too!" Moxxie said. "Still, what do we do about these guys?!"
"We need to make 'em go away!" Blitzo said as he pulled up their weapon backpack. "Mox, I love saying this, hold this for me!"
"Next missile!" Pentious called out to his egg soldiers who aimed at the vehicles and unleashed another volley. "Honestly! We have royalty on the run! This is exhilarating!"
Mariem hummed. "Still… why did the Exorcists go to that stupid hotel?" She asked and the two others frowned. "I was of the opinion that they'd follow Stolas to the ends of the Rings with how that super-dense tracking spell went."
"... Could it be possible that they can teleport? But who of the Goetia in Stolas's name can do that, my beloved?" Red Caesar frowned. "... Wait, didn't Stolas gain a new member a bit back, in demon years?"
"Mmm, you mean his goat boy?" She asked and Red Caesar smiled pervertedly.
"Ah, yes, his abs could work as a grindstone."
"Don't I know it."
Pentious made a disgusted face.
'Honestly! How'd I get lumped in with these weirdos?!' He mentally screamed, pushing forward on his flight controls. "Hello?! We're approaching the cars! Drop down and do something!" Pentious shouted and the two lovebirds, pun intended, pouted at him. "Are we not supposed to be doing a job?!"
"... He does have a point, sweetheart," Red Caesar said and Mariem nodded sagely.
"Alright, time to grab royalty!" She declared only for a rapid beeping to reach their ears. "What's that?"
"... That is the anti-air al-"
Blitzo grinned as he dropped the obnoxiously big rocket launcher outside as they kept going.
"Where'd that thing even come from?!" Loona shouted.
"I keep it in my personal stash."
"Oh, magnificent."
"..."
"Nothing, honey!"
Octavia's face went flat.
"Is that… an imp thing?" Angel asked in confusion. "And if it is, damn, get me one of those!"
"It's helpful!" Charlie said as they kept driving. "Still, behind the manor, where can we go?" She asked with concern. "Obviously as it is to say, these cars were lucky to have full tanks but they won't last forever!"
"Well, we need to either get rid of that tracking spell or kill the Exorcists trying to follow us!" Vaggie said with a frown, leaning out the window to see the zeppelin listing towards the ground. "I'm actually concerned that Obito might have…"
"It's fine," the clone said as she looked at him. "If I'm still alive, my jutsu won't give in. The reverse is also true, then. If I'm dead, this clone wouldn't be here."
"Still, it's been like thirty minutes! Can you survive against Exorcists for that long?"
"Hmph, if the Exorcists are even remotely good fighters-"
~NRK~
He cut off the head of the last one, a ball of angels tied up in his chains limp.
~NRK~
"They still wouldn't be good enough."
Vaggie stared at him like he was insane before Angel Dust laughed.
"Talk about a cocky son of a bitch! I'm loving your energy right now!" He said, picking up a pig from off the floor. "Isn't that right, Fat Nuggets?!" The spider demon asked his pet pig as he nuzzled.
"When did that pig get on here?"
"This fluff does lots of things, hot stuff."
The goat man made to shoot him a flat look only for his eyes to widen!
"Fucking!" He cursed before kicking off the roof of the car.
He made a handsign before breathing out flames, destroying a series of sharp feathers along with the other Obito copies.
"What's going on?!" Stolas shouted from his car only for the Obito's to toss out more flames. "Obito?!"
"They've got smaller projectiles!" One of them said.
"We might need to abandon the cars!"
"Then go where?!" Stella asked in concern.
"... We might need to go to the city," the one from the Goetia car said. "Those angels seemed to not be covered by that spell, I think we'd have a better chance there!"
"But the Exorcists in your dimension-" Loona began to say only for a swirl to appear by the Goetia car.
The real Obito Uchiha returned to the world of the living looking none the worse for wear.
"What's happened?!" He asked before looking behind them. "I see."
"You're alive! Wondrous!" Stolas said in relief as Octavia smiled and Stella nodded.
"It's good that you're around, Obito," she said.
"Glad to be back," he said. "Clones!"
The copies made handsigns and Obito was beamed all the information.
"They're right, not only would we lose these fools, I can send us to a place where we should be fine," the real Obito said before sending the clones his plan.
They ran through handsigns.
"Katon: Goukyaku no Jutsu!" They shouted in unison before shooting out balls of flames at the ground behind them.
The cars shot out the smoke with the groups left within.
None the wiser to a feather on all three twitching.
"... Those aren't the real ones," Red Caesar said as he held his wife up from the wreckage, a frown on his face as his feathers shifted. "They're heading towards Pentagram City! They've realized the spell didn't land on all of the Exorcists!"
"What?!" Both his fellow Overlords said in shock.
"That isn't good, it's been close to one hour already and the spell's only going to last for another!" Mariem said and the two grimaced.
Pentious lifted a walkie-talkie from the wreck.
"We have a problem!"
~NRK~
Barkem growled from atop Goetia Manor, crushing a part of the roof under his feet as he lowered his sniper rifle.
"Fucking hell!" He cursed. "Go back to the city! You have the teleporter there, don't you?!"
-Shut it! I need to fix it first! We got crashed by some imps!-
"Tsk," he looked around with his weapon once more, just in case, before groaning. "The boss isn't going to like this."
~NRK~
Mimzy had been spending her time at her home in her black bathrobe, hoping this insanity would pass as it always did.
'Why did they come so early?' She wondered in worry, sipping some coffee. 'Mmm, I kind of wish someone was here with me.'
It'd certainly be less lonely here and they'd get to do fun things in the meantime.
"Well, can't wish for much-" she'd begun to say when a swirl appeared in the air. "H-Huh?"
Then several bodies were deposited inside of her house's basement, leaving it far more 'lively' than it'd been before.
Then a familiar duo appeared along with one of their parents.
"... Obito, what did you bring into my basement?" Mimzy asked. "And are you all planning to stay? Because it'd certainly be nicer to ride out the Purge with company!"
"Apologies, Mimzy," Obito said. "We'd love to but I need to do a few things and head outside," he said.
"Hold on, what!? It's raining death outside!" Angel Dust said. "No, seriously!"
"Listen, right now, they're attracted to Stolas's signature and, well, that platoon of them that was actually heading to the manor will now be doubling back to us," Obito said. "I've killed all the ones who came into the Kamui Dimension, they're honestly not that difficult to deal with."
"... You what?" Charlie asked before Obito turned to her. "Y-You killed all those Exorcists?!"
"Yeah, I'm starting to miss a few drinks from here to buzzed," Blitzo said. "Those flying pricks aren't exactly bulletproof but they can take a couple… hundred to put one down."
"... I see…" Stolas said before Obito walked towards him. "Yes?"
"So, this is a skill that's going to be kind of odd but, Stolas-sama, I'm going to see if sealing away your energy, for now, will solve this whole thing," Obito said as he pulled a sealing set out with Kamui. "Is that okay?"
"Honestly, getting these angels to leave me alone would be an amazing way to end my day," he said. "So, how does this work again?"
A quick energy-suppression seal was drawn atop of the Goetic Demon's back of the hand.
When Obito finished, he made a handsign and Stolas shivered.
"O-Okay, I'm really cold," he said as the goat man grimaced.
"Now, hold on, w-what was that about Exorcists coming to my home?!" Mimzy said in horror as Obito sighed.
"Let me explain," he said.
The group helped speed the process up, informing Mimzy of all of the madness that had happened in the past hour.
"I'm starting to regret taking you all in, Your Majesty," Mimzy said with a twitching eyebrow as Stella huffed but sighed.
"I'd say something but I know exactly how you feel," she said before turning to the currently covered-in-fire Stolas. "I hope this works."
"These flames are rather marvelous, Stella!" Stolas said, looking rosy and warm. "Goodness, Obito, we should have had you do this when the colds hit!"
"Snrt," Obito snorted as he sat against a wall near the noble. "I just forget about it sometimes. Now, I'm going to see if I can't sense those Exorcists coming our way."
He sat cross-legged and closed his eyes, spreading out his sensory abilities to two kilometers.
"..."
The angels' brand of energy, those that had been following their home, didn't enter his radius yet but he took that as good news until it would say otherwise.
He felt out the energies of the angels actually doing the normal Purge and was… well, moderately fine with them sticking to their objective.
"I hope Razzle and Dazzle are alright," Charlie said from beside him, knees pulled up so she could rest her chin on them. "They're actually goat demons, too."
"Oh, I know, me and Octavia-ojou-sama meet them when we go breakdancing at Mimzy's club."
"Ya dance do ya?" Angel Dust asked with a grin as he held Fat Nuggets. "Talk about crazy coinkydinks, I'm also good at dancing."
"Our dances are completely different," Octavia said before blushing a bit. "And I doubt Obito moonlights your kind of work."
"Does he want to?"
"No," Obito said with one eye opening to shoot the spider a look. "Lord knows I'm on rough times the moment I pick up stripping."
"Hey now, that could be a good time!" Blitzo said with a sly smirk, Loona, Moxxie, and Millie sitting next to their resident goat man. "Why, imagine the crowds you'd pull! My God, you might put even Valentino out of business."
"... Hehehehehe," Angel giggled like a mad person, a big fat grin on his face. "I'd love that idea. It'd be hilarious!"
Charlie blushed and Vaggie shook her head at the princess of hell, raising a brow at her flustered state.
"God… I'd question if we couldn't get a platonic lap dance for Charlie, though?" She admitted with some thought as Obito choked and the princess turned bright red. "Ehhh."
"I'd say no."
"It'd probably be good side cash," Mimzy said after cooling down. "Like, you should all see the crowd he gets on the street. If Obito was any sort of pervert, I don't doubt he'd be drowning in demons, goodness me."
"Oi."
"Hmph, Obito is a dignified demon," Stella said.
"Thank you, ma-"
"That means dignified lap dances."
"Fucking-"
"That'd possibly also work," Stolas considered. "Why, imagine all the royalty who'd want a piece of you!"
"No, stop trying to get me laid or worse into prostitution. I thought demons, and sinners, all had different vices, why's everyone double-dipping?!"
"It's so easy down here, bud," Angel Dust said as Millie chuckled. "I mean, likely the only ones who haven't enjoyed the devilish life is our princess over here and you."
"Don't remind me of how rare I am, or something."
The group had found the hours passing and Stolas had been happy to find that they were bereft of attacking angels and had been prepared to knuckle in.
In that time, though, they had to have counsel about the fact that Stolas was being targeted.
"So, the fact remains is that not only does Barkem have Stolas's energy signature but he has a grudge against him, seemingly," Obito began as the group sat in a large circle around a large table. "And, the possible worst thing is that these people have enough of his signature, or are familiar enough with it, to coat a tracking spell in it."
"Stolas, do you know anyone who might know you that well?" Charlie asked.
"I can't think of someone who would," Stolas said with a frown. "Barkem and I have a relationship that can be boiled down to 'I thought his services went too far' and I informed the other nobility of it. Blessed weapons are illegal and his have been confiscated… Which makes me worried that he retrieved it, or another, somehow."
"... So, is it possible that you know one of the other Overlords?" Moxxie asked. "I've looked these two up and they're Mariem and Red Caesar, they became Overlords 10 years ago."
"They rose to Overlord-dom via the theatre industry," Vaggie said as Octavia nodded, looking at her phone. "I don't know much about them."
"It says that they held a double-suicide for one of their plays," the owl teen said. "Ever since showing up here, they've been abusing the fact that they can't die normally. I don't understand, though, why come after my family?" Octavia asked with a grimace.
"They're sinners and theatre kids, I can bet it's super vain," Loona said with a nod. "For now, what are their powers? How do they hold up to guys like Stolas?"
"It'd depend, wouldn't it?" Millie asked. "They're in drama, how big is that down here?"
"Theatre has a decent history," Blitzo said as Mimzy nodded.
"I've joined several of the shows down here before as a background singer, back when I was starting out," the club owner said. "There are tons of demons who'd want in."
"So, they're likely middle of the road?" Moxxie asked.
"We, sadly, don't know what that even means," Obito said. "Hmm, does anyone know how a normal demon compares to an angel?"
"Excludin' you?" Angel Dust asked with a smirk. "And a normal demon would probably get their asses beat."
"It's not wrong to say that," Stella said. "A normal rabble-rouser won't do much, especially one without weapons. They'd need to be in a gang or organization that specializes in fighting them."
"That was specific," Blitzo said and she coughed into her fist, phone in hand.
"It's not that hard to look up," she said quickly. "The point is, no, a single demon, unless decently powerful, can't kill an angel no matter how much they try."
"So, how strong would an Overlord be compared to a demon?" Obito asked.
"Once again, that depends," Vaggie said with a sigh. "The thing is, no Overlord is as strong as another, it's not like with Alastor."
"?" Obito perked up. "Wait, Alastor?" He asked and she frowned. "As in, Alastor the Radio Demon?"
"Yes…?"
"I didn't even know he was an Overlord, he just looked bored to me," Obito explained and she gaped at him.
"Y-You met him?!" She squeaked and Mimzy choked along with Blitzo. "H-How?! Where?!"
"It was when I first met our imp comrades, I was traveling-"
"On foot," Stolas elaborated. "On foot to each of the cities, he's quite odd."
"Why would you run between cities?! Each of 'em is, like, a million miles away!" Angel gaped.
"Eh, it's not really all that impressive. I bet if each Ring was a country, I could run to each border in a day to a few," the goat man waved off.
"You've gotten weirder since we met," Mimzy said with a sweatdrop. "Oi vey. Still, that's gotta be why you've got such powerful leg muscles!" She said with a snap of the fingers.
"It's a good workout," Obito said.
"Why not use a vehicle?" Charlie asked with a raised brow as the others nodded.
"Why would I pay for a vehicle?"
"Okay, I think he's officially weirded me out," Charlie said with a blink and Vaggie looked impressed.
"That takes a good bit, Obito, I'm actually surprised and yet impressed," the gray-skinned girl said and Obito's eyebrow twitched. "No offense. Go back to meeting the Radio Demon."
"... I met him when he was calming down a group of cannibal women," Obito said. "I guess he was a friend of theirs. We ate at a cafe that didn't try to sell me people to eat, you'd be surprised by how rare that was, expensive as all hell, too."
"Of course, it's still Cannibal Colony, you're basically asking for an imported delicacy to them," Stella said.
"Eh, never saw all the excitement about it," Blitzo said with crossed arms. "And, ew, do people even know where those other people came from? We're in hell, high chance all of 'em of being dirty."
"... That's not untrue," Stolas considered, mentally marking off a line of his bucket list. "Very much, not untrue."
"Noted, so we just chatted, he asked questions, I treated him to lunch, and I left a bit after that. As I said, he didn't strike me as scary save for when he first snuck up on me, he just seemed bored."
"That's… Alastor is one of the strongest among the Overlords," Vaggie said in some shock. "And he just… let you leave?"
"... Vaggie, let me just say this," Obito began. "Why wouldn't he? I didn't have anything he wanted, much less entertainment… and, two, even if he didn't want me to leave… he'd never be able to stop me."
"Daddy likes," Blitzo said with a widening smirk as Loona groaned, the adoptive father elbowing her thigh. "Hey now, Loonie, you might want to lock this down before this fish gets caught, meow."
"You are so gross," she grumbled.
"Nonchalance is a good way to show your position," Stella said with a smirk. "So, how would we compare an Overlord to a regular demon?"
"Hmm, well, on average, the guards of Lucifer's palace could fend off an Exorcist and he has thousands, those same guards aren't capable of tangling with an Overlord."
"Hmph, so I'd say five to six times, then," Obito considered. "Good to know or at least guess."
"So, did those Exorcists come back?"
Obito frowned and closed his eyes. "... Yes, and our 'Overlords' have come with them. They're near the hotel," he said with a grimace as Charlie's pupils dilated. "We'll go and check in a bit, I promise."
"Don't we need to worry about them trying to have Stolas tracked again?" Vaggie asked. "They could do it again, no?"
"No… I don't think so," Obito said. "The Overlords aren't near the hotel, correction? They're by the clock tower… No wonder, Stella-sama was so worried about it," Stella sighed. "Still, they want this to happen near the Purge, so they're not done yet, this we can take as fact. They're going to make another move soon."
"So, what do ya do?" Angel Dust asked. "I mean, we've got close to 18 hours or something. That's not a lot of time for either of us."
"... No, it isn't, isn't it?" Obito said with some intrigue. "Who knows what'd happen if they were led on a goose chase for all of those hours?"
"... Obito, I don't like this idea," Octavia said as Millie frowned and Loona grimaced. "You're putting yourself in danger again."
"I know, I know, but the fact remains that, at the moment," he smirked. "I'm the most powerful demon in this city, bar none."
His words got a curious raise of the brow from Stolas as he looked at Obito who held out his hand.
The noble reached out and his hand went through Obito's.
"I can transfer parts of my body to the Kamui Dimension, I told you all earlier, I'm untouchable the moment I leave my dimension. So, let's abuse that, shall we?"

They paced in the basement of the clock tower, the three trying to figure out their next move.
"Since when could this servant do this?" Red Caesar asked his compatriots who grimaced. "Stolas has never spoken of this skill… he hid it?!"
"It seems so, my dear," Mariem said with a frown as Pentious growled as he worked on a machine. "Pentious?"
"... Hmph! I'm close to making the radar," he said. "We'll lock onto Stolas's energy and track them down!"
"Right, them isn't it?" Red Caesar said with a frown. "What do we do about the others? The princess is here and if we lay a hand on her, we're fucked."
"It's fine, it's not like she'll interrupt, right?" Mariem asked and Pentious grumbled.
"I want my goat slave now more than ever! Instant transportation?! I could pull off so many evil techniques with it!" Pentious said. "And the princess… I don't know, she's a freak!"
"That's true."
As they spoke, there was a grunt as Barkem burst through the front door.
"Something's going on in the city!"
When they reached the high levels of the clock tower, hiding in a nook of it, they saw what he meant.
Giant twisting trees pulled up on odd street corners, latching onto Exorcists and twisting them into a spiral of blood and arbor.
"What's going on?" Sir Pentious said in confusion, looking around as the angels kept trying to circle the trees. "Where did these come from? Did someone decide to fight the angels?" He asked only for his radar to go off. "Stolas is around somewhere!" He shouted as he pointed the machine in the direction of the trees and each one came with rising beeps. "H-He's doing all of this?!"
"Fucking owl," Barkem growled as he leveled his sniper rifle and looked around before a shadow of a familiar figure passed his sight. "There he is!"
He took aim, his weapon gleaming silver… but the shadow was fast… a bit too fast.
'When the hell has he been this fast?' He wasn't aware of the noble working out to such a degree. '... Something about this is off…' But there was no way for Stolas to pass their radar, that was his signature, at least if their boss was right and it worked so far.
The fact that the group had been in the Happy Hotel had meant this signature was the real deal… So why was this so odd?
"Do we have another tracking spell ready?" He asked Pentious who pulled an object out of his coat. "Pass it here!"
The snake man snorted before throwing it at him, the bullet-sized, and shaped, object slipping into his rifle after Barkem popped the normal bullet out.
He took aim before electricity flashed around his weapon, his eyes burning gold before he shot the 'bullet'.
It flew true… before splattering against a building by the shadow's side.
The Exorcists all around froze before their heads snapped to 'Stolas's' direction and they took off.
"That son of a bitch is gonna get what's coming to him!" He declared in glee as the shadow was besieged by angels… "What?" Barkem blinked as the shadow continued with the Exorcists raising death from above, each spear dodged and countered with flashes of light. "Since when was he a fighter?!"
"Well, doesn't that mean this is our chance?" Red Caesar asked. "He's still preoccupied, now's the chance to hold him down and let heaven do its work."
"Sounds fabulous!" Mariem said as he grinned before the two of them jumped off before soaring high into the sky, Mariem via a pair of floating energy bats while Red Caesar used his cape. "Snipe him from above~!"
The two's forms chased after the angel as Barkem snorted before jumping to another set of buildings.
"Pentious!" He shouted.
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" The snake man growled as he picked up his Rocket Backpack. "Honestly, it's the same insanity with them! Hmph, I kind of wish I was working with Oomphty."
"Yeah, I wish you were dead too," came a voice from his side that Pentious nodded at.
"Same… Wait, hold on, did one of you fools come back-" The snake man began to say only for him to turn around and find Angel Dust, Stella, and the four imps holding their guns level to his head, the tall one grinning widely.
"Daddy wants to talk."
They were gaining on the crowd of flying death when it… dispersed?
They stopped in the air as Barkem landed on a nearby building.
"What the hell happened?" He asked as the three of them looked down at the confused Exorcists. "Fucking, get inside!" He hissed as he broke through the door atop the building he was on, rolling inside followed by his hasty comrades. "No, seriously, what happened?!"
"Stolas… I think he disappeared," Red Caesar said with a frown. "And now those angels are confused like they lost his signature."
"Then, where'd he go?!" Barkem growled as he looked around. "How could-"
"I vanish like that?" A voice whispered from behind the three, their eyes going wide. "Let's see."
An explosion of flames sent the three careening over the edge of the roof.
"How'd he?!" Barkem began to say only for the three's eyes to widen as they remembered that there were Exorcists about. "Caesar!"
The theatre parrot's eyes narrowed before red vapor shot off his cape and the three were soon swept up into it. The energy shifted up before depositing them on another building opposite Stolas's.
The angel's eyes glowed as they rushed 'Stolas's' location before buzzing about as he vanished again.
"What's going on?! How's he doing this?!" Barkem hissed as the group slipped into another roof door. "We have to keep him in place but what's going on… Actually, where the hell is Pentious?!"
-It's me!- Came the voice from his walkie-talkie and the three sighed. -I was snuck up on, unfortunately, but I handled them! Y-Yes, I made more progress than all of you!-
"Stuff it, snakey, where are you?" Mariem asked with a grunt. "We need all the backup we can get, Stolas is showing some new stuff that we'll need all of us to track down."
-I-I'm heading to the left, do what you will with your own moves-
~NRK~
Pentious went radio silent as Angel Dust grinned, gun removing itself from the snake man's side. "A-Am I allowed to leave, now?" Pentious asked nervously as Stella frowned.
"I don't think you will, Sir Pentious. As a matter of fact, how about you come back with us?"
The snake man cried.
~NRK~
They grimaced.
They moved, as a unit, away from the angels while circling the perimeter, eyes out for how the Exorcists moved.
"It's been close to eight hours," Mariem said with a grunt and yawn before she grimaced. "I never considered it but… can we keep up with this?" She asked with a grimace. "The more time we spend trying to find them, the more tired we get."
Caesar frowned. "And, he can slip behind us," he said as they flew in his cape like it was a carpet. "If we're caught unaware, Barkem, we're dead."
"I know, I know," Barkem wasn't unaware, he'd just never seen this outcome coming. "Fucking, all because of a single goat? This is a mess."
"And we don't know if he can't do everything we're currently experiencing, he's an unknown variable," Red Caesar said. "We might need to give up this day."
"And face the boss? Nah, we have to do this now-"
Barkem had been saying only for something to shadow their flight and soon after the three were sent into the ground as if they'd been shot out of a cannon.
Barkem groaned as he pushed himself off the ground, shakily getting to his feet as something landed in front of the three.
The Overlords and Barkem looked up and balked as Stolas stood there, feathered cape and all, as the Exorcists hovered around the four demons with bloodthirsty grins.
"Honestly, you all are quite the trackers," he said with a smile and his hands held out at his sides. "Why, I don't know any of you at all, not surprising by your small presence," Barkem's mouth set into a growl that bore his sharp teeth and gums. "So, it's rather odd that you have angels, the literal world over, chasing me as they do."
"Hah, so you feel so safe as to come towards us yet forget that there are Exorcists here to kill you?" The centaur-cyclops said as he removed his weapon from his back before pointing it at Stolas, the demon's eyes narrowing as he saw the silver designs. "Oh, yeah, like? Sure would have been nice to have all these resources had you just let me in. Wouldn't ever be in situations like this if you had done that."
"In these situations?" Stolas cupped his chin. "What situations?"
The sniper's weapon was snatched from his hands and zipped away into the sky by a chained weapon, the items vanishing under a veil of invisibility.
"What?!" He growled as the sound of steps moved out of here. "You!" Barkem turned on Stolas with a growl. "You're always getting in my way to greatness! You filthy royal!"
"You should have taken your chances and become better than you are, a better demon, and simply moved your efforts," Stolas said with a frown. "You are a bright mind but you did everything wrong and you'll be punished for it."
"... Then we'll drop the pretenses," Red Caesar said as his form glowed in a dark ichor before his body began to grow and expand to three times his 7-foot height.
His arms became another pair of legs, leaving him a quadruped as his back grew two sets of wings and his visor fell away into magic motes of light.
His eyes gained slitted pupils and nothing while his chest fluffed out into the form of a delicate napkin-esque shape.
"We have a job to do," he said, voice gargling and sounding like the cross between an eagle and a cat.
Mariem grinned as her body shot up two feet, leaving her a 10-foot amazon of a sinner as her wings doubled in size and count while a dark purple haze flowed over her eyes like a face mask.
Several lines of similar color and concept flowed throughout her body like a full-body tattoo, leaving her a pink and purple in color.
Barkem grimaced before dark energy shot up around him and he grew to twice the size of Red Ceasar.
His form grew an extra pair of legs and the entirety of him was now white.
Two insect antennae sprouted out of the top of his head as his eye burned bright red and the sclera burned gold.
His limbs extended out to half his size and were insect-like in design, the ends covered by thick red claws.
Stolas frowned at the three of them. "You all are really going to follow this through, are you?" He asked them, frowning before he sighed. "It's sad, really," 'Stolas' said as his form glowed before puffing into smoke. "That you all are going all out not on Stolas."
When the smoke cleared, the three gawked as Obito crossed his arms, shooting them smirks.
"Surprise~"
"I'm glad your spell also hides your signature, Octavia," Charlie said as they lugged the blessed sniper rifle away, the princess of hell using her magic to lift them up to the roof of a building. "But, still… Obito's carrying Stolas's crest, he's going to be the target of everything down there," she said with concern and Octavia grimaced.
"He'll find a way, I'm… I'm sure he will," the owl teen said as they looked over the edge to see Obito surrounded on all sides by enemies. "He will…"

Stolas grimaced as the IMP Crew brought Pentious back, covered under layers of comforters.
"What's going on?" Stella asked with a grimace as she saw Stolas's face. "What… happened?" She asked as she rushed to a medium-length mirror-shaped object he was looking into. "No! We have to go out there and stop this!"
"Um, lady, you don't seem to remember there are Exorcists and Overlords outside!" Blitzo reminded her and Stella began to snarl. "Look, we've all got our parts of the plan! We know what we're supposed to do!"
"And you'd just leave him to die?!"
"We're not leaving anyone to do anything like that!" Loona shouted back. "Charlie and Octavia are out there! If anything can be done, those three are the best ones to get out of this situation."
The owl woman looked ready to scream but Stolas stood, comforters coming off.
"... Pentious, yes?" He said as he approached the technologically adept demon who swallowed. "Tell me, surely you don't trust those two out there, yes?"
"... W-What of it?" The trapped man said.
"Well, how did they make that tracking spell?" Stolas asked with a smile. "And would you be willing to part with that secret for quite the sum of money?"
The man perked up.

Obito jumped back as several feathers destroyed where he'd just been.
'Now, to deal with this situation,' he thought as he maneuvered through a rainfall of spears, a combination of air flares and windmills allowing him to remain unharmed. 'Well, well, well, these could work,' Obito thought as he gripped several spears as the Exorcists lunged towards him.
He twirled two in hand before engaging them.
He bisected the first at the waist before stepping back and around another's lunge and swiping through its wings, bringing it down.
Obito hopped on it before jumping towards the crowd of Exorcists, spears swinging out in a dance of death that cut down any that followed.
"He's… good," Caesar realized with some shock. "Is he not but a servant? Where did this skill come from?"
"I don't know," Mariem said with a frown as Barkem let out a low growl. "Well, might as well join in on the fun, yeah?"
"Be careful of the spears, he's planning on using them to fight us," he said and she grinned.
"Isn't that the whole reason I'm here?" She asked and he grunted. "Now, let's change the tides of battle, yes?" Mariem said as she raised her hands.
The spears all around the street began to glow pink before levitating off the floor. The energy around them flickered a bit and she exerted more effort to keep them bright pink.
Obito, in the middle of landing on an Exorcist's back, felt the hairs on the back of his head stand up and made the executive decision of jumping from the angel to a nearby building.
Good thing, too, as that angel and many of the other ones were soon skewered by their own holy weaponry.
"Don't run now, hon!" Mariem called out as she dragged her hands to the side towards him and Obito jumped up to let the building behind him take the hits. "Not fun!"
She tossed her hands around and Obito continued to dodge only to double-time it as red feathers began to rain death upon him as well.
He flipped down to the floor, followed by the projectiles before slipping into it, the dangerous items destroying the ground where he'd just been, leaving a crater the size and depth of a bus.
"What?!" The succubus-lookalike said in disbelief only for a shiver to shoot up her spine.
Then there was a loud smack before a crash in another building got a sigh of relief out of her.
"Thanks, Barkem."
"Hmph, kill him! It's been almost been ten hours since we've been out here and time is ticking!" He shouted and she growled, telekinesis going to work as she gathered up more spears from the extra dead angels' grasps. "Caesar!"
The parrot demon's wings raised and, soon enough, the red feathers around them shot up into the air before energy spilled from all of them, a barrier forming around the building Obito was in… as well as the one Charlie and Octavia were on.
"T-That's not good," the owl said with a nervous swallow as the building rumbled beneath their feet. "What do we do?"
Charlie grimaced.

"No!" Vaggie grimaced, fists clenched as they watched everything happen through Stella's spell. "Dammit! He should be able to get out of there with them, right?!"
"It depends, there are also Exorcists in there with them," Stolas said with a frown. "Still, he should just be capable of using his cloning ability again, no?"
"Doesn't that also take energy away from him?" Loona asked with a frown as Stolas's optimism fell behind one as well. "He's been fighting in the beginning, as well as for the past hour, and has been doing all our teleporting while using his skills to keep you warm earlier. How long can Obito actually keep this going?"
"... We don't know," Stella said with a grimace. "He said that's untouchable, so why is he allowing himself to be hit like that?"
"He might be trying to lure them into a sense of laziness," Moxxie said. "If he can dodge everything just fine, wouldn't that make the most sense for a trump card?"
"But he'd also have to not get hurt too bad before that happens," Millie said.
"Pentious," Stolas said to the snake man chained in a corner of the room. "What can you tell us about those two?"
"Hmph! Caesar's feathers contain all his magic and he's able to control them," he said. "Mariem looks like a succubus but she's a sinner! Her skills are in telekinesis! She can't do much else! Even as we speak, those holy weapons fight her power, she'll be focusing so much on them!"
"A troublesome combination," Blitzo said. "But they need those things, don't they? Feathers and hands?" He asked viciously.
Stolas smiled.
"Stella, we'll need your spells."
His wife huffed but nodded.

'He's decently strong,' which made sense, Barkem had killed all his pursuers, assumably. 'Still not even in my upper half of worst hits,' Obito thought as he got up before his eyes narrowed on the barrier around not just himself but the angels and… dammit.
He vanished into the building, phasing through the floors and passing shocked, terrified, demons before landing on the roof.
"Come! We're leaving!" He said to the air before being hugged by two arms.
He used Kamui and brought them into the Kamui Dimension before rushing them to a nearby building space and teleporting out, not giving the angels time to slip in.
"Haa…" He let out a breath as he released both girls. "You need to leave," Obito said.
"And leave you alone?!" Octavia said incredulously. "We have a blessed weapon, surely we just need a high vantage point."
"Can you work a sniper rifle?" Obito asked and she grimaced. "It's not just that, I'm at a bit below half my energy, I can't keep making clones and keep an eye on you two. Add on that the moment you two get found out, I'm going to have to move you."
"I-I can fly us out of there," Charlie said with a frown. "... I-I mean… I could fly us out of there fast enough, maybe."
"Thanks, Charlie," Octavia grimaced and the princess sighed.
"Look, the fact remains, it's more than just a little bit dangerous out here," Obito explained as the barrier came down. "And that's our cue to get out of here!" He said, scooping both of them up before jumping off the building.
They traveled in a random direction away from their 'home base' before dropping them off.
He made another Moku Bunshin and ran off.
"Cloak, now, Octavia," Obito said as the owl girl frowned before casting the spell. "Thank you, Charlie, we're-" He frowned before all three of them looked up at the open boundary between hell and heaven.
More winged killers began to descend into hell, much to their shock.
"Oh fuck," Charlie said.
~NRK~
"Why are more angels coming out?!" Stella shouted.
"... All the dead angels," Pentious realized with a paling complexion. "Glp, w-with all the dead angels, t-they might have sent more to make up for it."
The group, as one, paled.
"Obito!" Stella said into a small glass mirror, Obito's shocked face appearing in its depths. "More angels are coming!"
~NRK~
His eyes narrowed as he, too, looked up and saw their worst luck of the day.
"Fucking hell!" He cursed before dodging a swarm of feathers and manipulated spears. "Dammit!"
"Fuck, they sent them early," Mariem said with a grimace from down below. "What do we do?! We don't have these ones tracked!"
"That damn goat ruins everything!" Barkem growled. "... We'll kill him and end things for today. HE HAS TO DIE!" He roared as he charged after Obito's form, climbing the buildings around them with ease.
"My sweetheart, come," Caesar said as Mariem climbed onto his back. "We'll finish this all in one go, yes?"
"Hm, hm, alright, these spears were ruining my groove anyway," she said, allowing the holy weapons to fall from her grip, sighing in relief as she looked at her hands where small burns were. "Damn, those things are potent."
"We'll wrap them when we leave," was all her lover said before they were flying high in the sky. "Hold on!"
His form glowed bright red before they sped past the sound barrier into the sky, bypassing all the angels' vision before hoving high above, wings raised all the way out at his sides.
Mariem's hands reached out to both tips before her demonic energy coated them in pink vapor.
"Give it your best shot whenever, hun!"
~NRK~
Obito growled as he came to stop on a building's roof opposite Barkem's.
They locked gazes as white filled the skies.
"You pest."
"Ironic."
The centaur-bug man lunged at him, crushing the building he'd been on from doing so.
Obito's Sharingan burned bright in their base state before vanishing from his spot the moment Barkem crashed into it, reappearing overhead.
The insect demon only had a moment to look up before Obito brought his hands down into a hammer blow that sent him crashing into the floor in an instant.
The goat man jumped off the roof before running through handsigns.
Barkem looked up at balls of flame heating up his face.
The explosion of heat and light tinted Obito's front orange as he landed.
Obito frowned before he allowed Barkem to phase through him as the centaur lunged.
"You're a fool," Obito said as he stalked towards him. "You need to take a fucking hint."
"Stuff it, you foolish servant!" Barkem growled. "Speak like that again and I'll destroy all you know."
Obito's eyes narrowed before he lunged and slammed a kick into Barkem's chin, the transformed demon's form flying before crashing into the floor.
"Then I'll make sure you never get up again."

Octavia swallowed as she, Charlie, and Obito's copy ran like bats out of hell.
Which she wished they were! Flying would have been great right now!
Still, as she looked up into the sky… something piqued her interest as she squinted her eyes.
"What?" She said slowly before looking at the sniper rifle in her hands.
Raising it to her eyes, Octavia blinked at the glowing pink form of Red Caesar.
"What are they doing?" She wondered to herself only to pale as she watched the sky fill with pink. "O-Obito?! Obito!" She shouted. "They're going to level the buildings around us like this!" The owl teen shouted at him as he and Charlie looked back to see the horror.
The Wood Clone sent the telepathic message to the original as he landed on their home base, depositing the two teens before making handsigns.
'Make it in time!'
~NRK~
Obito's eyes widened as he froze his mid-raised fist.
"No!" He vanished from his spot, blurring down the road towards the others. 'There's no more time to hold back!'
His form grew in size.
~NRK~
"We have to go!" Stolas shouted to the group. "Apologies, Mimzy!" He said as he wiped the seal Obito made off, the goat man's instructions making it easy.
He immediately felt warm and nodded to the others. "We're going to the roof!"
They rushed out, leaving Sir Pentious to struggle all alone.
"W-Wait! Don't leave me!"
The travel had been easy and quick, the group meeting Obito moments after he finished doing his jutsu.
"Mokuton: Mokujoheki!" (Wood Release: Wood Locking Wall)
Wood shot up from the home beneath them and began to cover their front with it.
Octavia choked as her parents reached her, their hands coming around her as she lowered her sniper rifle. "S-Spears! Lots of them!"
The Obito clone's eyes narrowed as he created several more walls as the pink feathers slammed into his protection.
The blows rocked the area beneath their feet as parts of Obito's Wood Wall broke off.
'Hold on!' The clone mentally thought. 'The real me is almost here!'
Still, he couldn't do much other than this! As a clone, he didn't have the true power of being a demon!
Another chunk of the wall broke off and he growled before slamming his fists together and held them out, bottom to bottom.
The wood directly in front of them curled in more before thickening.
It held off the assault better but the outer edges broke off and crushed parts of Mimzy's house.
"Sorry, Mimzy!"
"Don't care! Keep me alive!" She shouted as she hid directly behind him.
"Mmm!" The copy focused as his legs began to become wood. "... H-Hmph! I'm leaving you all here, he's here." He smirked as the rocking came to a stop, his form completely wood.
"Wait, Obito's not-" Octavia shouted only to stop when the sound of something jingling reached her ears.
The sound of clopping reached their ears as something landed on the roof the moment the wooden wall broke apart-
"Jukai Heki." (World of Tree Wall)
The wood sprouted out like a tree before flatting and thickening up, a solid structure that showed no sign of weakening.
"I'm glad I got back," the voice of the figure said as he walked past them, a deep, powerful, voice that brokered no argument. "Those shitty bastards," he said, his pitch-black shakkujo jingling as he tapped it against the rooftop.
He was easily taller than Stolas by a meter, thicker than a tree trunk, and muscular as his upper half was on full display.
He was a pure white beast of a demon, his lower half covered by extra thick-looking fur on double-jointed legs that ended in hooves.
His horns were white and black and shot up and past his head, his snout was decently long and powerful-looking, while dark red eyes shined against their background of black sclera.
Powerful claws both gripped his weapon and the other ran through his longer, fluffier-looking, mane.
"... Holy Christ on a stick!" Blitzo shouted in disbelief and impossible to contain lust. "Did you just step out of fucking magazines?!"
He snorted. "Control yourself, Blitzo," he said, surprising the imp for a moment before his mouth, and the others', dropped like hot potatoes. "It's me," Obito Uchiha said with a snort, eyes flicking down to them, the tomoe within twirling to life.
"..."
"..."
"There's no fucking way you just became this hot," Loona said outright with a completely red face and tail that wagged uncontrollably. "Hell fucking no, you did not!" She squeaked in disbelief as Obito raised a brow at her.
Then, from behind him, ten long tails flared out, looking like his previous form's own but white, longer, and obviously more numerous.
"... I wonder what sex with you is like?" Millie asked and Moxxie nodded in disbelief, face bright red like all the others. "Like… wow," she said, a brighter red like her husband. "Holy shit."
"Is gawking really what you want to be doing right now?"
"Yes! Yes, I very much would!" Angel Dust cheered with no small amount of drool! "Yes, gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme!" He shouted as he slammed into Obito's back and growled suggestively. "Me likey."
"Self-control seems beyond you at the best of times," Obito snorted before his gaze went back to the sky above, the terrors of their last few minutes still there and readying another blow. "One minute," he said as he raised his free hand towards the sky.
Flames began to gather, dark red things that glowed bright white as he condensed it severalfold.
"Hold onto something," he said before his expression went flat at the feeling of all hands on him. "God, you all are the worst," Obito said as Charlie blushed bright red.
"Sorry," she squeaked, holding onto one of his tails. "It's as thick as my arm," Charlie realized with a perverted curiosity.
Obito rolled his eye before tapping his black weapon against the floor once, one of the ten rings on it coming out to cover them in a black orb that they could see through.
He then shot off the flaming ball.
"Choshinsei." (Supernova)
The attack's departure ruptured the roof and destroyed what was left.
"... I'll reimburse you," he said with a sweatdrop as the attack reached its target.
The sky glowed with fire that imploded in on itself thrice before spreading out to cover the area above Pentagram City.
~NRK~
"What the hell is that?" Asked a moth demon with dark red eyes without 'eyes' and a large purple hat. "Vox, what am I looking at?"
"Hmph, ever since everything went dark, I don't know," said a living TV atop a body. "All I know is that the Exorcists are either loving it or sucking hard."
"Let's get with the last one!" Said a girl with two-tone hair.
"Indeed," the first one said.
~NRK~
"My word!" Alastor the Radio Demon's eyes widened at the sight of the fire above. "Who's having the time of their life out there?! How do I find them?!"
It'd make his life so much fun to find this demon!
~NRK~
"We're still dark, ma'am!"
"Well get it on, you fuck dick! We're missing the scoop of a lifetime and you're having camera difficulty?!"
"Sorry, ma'am!"
~NRK~
His eyes narrowed at the bright red 'star' above the location his daughter was at.
"Now, what could be happening where Charlie is?" He wondered to himself as a woman came upon his side. "Lilith?"
"... I can't reach her… I think the city lost power?"
His eyes narrowed.
~NRK~
The group just gaped at the sight of clearing skies that came with a mere wave of Obito's hand.
An empty sky missing angels, demons, and clouds that allowed the Pentagram above to be clear as day.
"My word…" Stolas gaped at the sheer magnitude of such power being under one demon's control. "Obito, since when could you even pull off this event?"
"... I've always had the power to," the goat demon said. "Coming to hell amplifies a demon's power by the sheer amount of their sin they partook in… and I accepted all the sins I left with. As I said before… For the next few minutes, I'm unstoppable."
"H-Hey, now, that sounds like a time limit!" Loona said but her eyes were totally focusing on his tails and then his ass and then his back. "Fucking steel grinder."
"This power puts me out after ten minutes with my full strength," Obito said and they gaped at him. "All power comes with a price, the sins of those I took on are going to kill me the further I use this power, ten minutes is the limit before my body begins to break down. At current, I've got five minutes at best."
"Then hurry, please!" Stella said as Octavia nodded quickly. "End this madness, so you don't die."
"Understood."
Another ring of his shakkujo came off his weapon and acted as their platform to float down from Mimzy's home's roof.
"Once again, sorry, Mimzy," Obito said as four more rings of his weapon came off. "One second."
They expanded to the size of her home before the space distorted for several seconds.
When all was said and done, the place looked as good as new as the rings returned to his staff.
"Um, you got a quicker-picker-upper spell?" Mimzy asked with a raised brow as he chuckled. "Damn that's hot."
"... No comment. I simply transferred the damage from your home to the Kamui Dimension. And since it's a Space-Time-based technique, time plays a factor in it as well, though I don't really know how well that translates. I've only done this three times and that was with Tex and Crymini when we were making our lives in the city."
"Less than five minutes!" Octavia reminded him and Obito snorted.
"Yes, yes, I'll be right back," he said before a familiar creature made it to them. "Oh, look, it's my volunteer."
"Fuck you-" Barkem began to say only to be gripped by the face and dragged off. "Let go of-"
One of Obito's tails swung around and cratered him into the floor, getting a wet gasp out of the demon.
The goat monster crouched down. "You listen to me, you piece of shit, I'm going to kill you and there's nothing you can do about it, do you understand?" Obito hissed at him before grabbing him by the face and dragging him off again.
Then he leaped with the bug demon's face in his hand, clearing buildings of all kinds in single leaps.
"... So, like, yea, that's the hottest thing I've heard in a while," Angel Dust said with a widening grin as he tapped Fat Nuggets on the nose. "We all agree?"
"Agreed," the group sans Vaggie said but she rolled her eyes reluctantly. "Vaggie, don't lie."
"Shut it… and, fine, platonically, it was hot."
~NRK~
The two grimaced from the crater they'd landed in.
"W-What happened?" Mariem asked in confusion, holding her head. "Caesar? Sweetie?"
"I'm fine, my love," he said as he took the brunt of the damage, his lover sitting on his chest before he got up with her in one of his claws. "As for what happened? I still don't know-" Red Caesar had begun to say before an explosion of force, dust, and debris came from their side. "... Barkem?"
"No," Obito said as the smoke cleared and he was revealed. "Not quite."
The two Overlord's eyes widened as he walked forward before shooting back as Barkem was thrown into them, the three tumbling over the side of a building.
Then Obito appeared beside them, his shakkujo's ring expanded into a large claw that he slammed into them before he swung them out into the distance.
He kicked off the building before slamming into them and kicking them down, an explosion of dust, noise, force, and debris kicking up into a building-tall cloud of smoke.
Landing a football field away, Obito ignored the demons peeking out of their boarded-up windows and clacked his weapon against the road.
His opposition untangled themselves before facing him.
The succubus lookalike and parrot threw the latter's feathers at him in sharp whistles.
Obito's eyebrows lowered and wood sprouted from the ground to block them with merely that much from the sinner.
He walked forward and the flames spiraled up from his feet and burned away the floor with each step.
"That's kind of badass," Mariem noted and Barkem's eyebrow went flat. "Still, what do we do?"
"Go down in a blaze of glory?" Caesar suggested and she shrugged.
"Sounds good to me."
They fired nonstop at him and each feather, manipulated pebble, rock, stone, and so on melted again his abs.
"... Ya know, I'm pretty sure there's a metaphor for this," she said with a raised brow at the spectacle. "Like, damn, hun."
"I know! You could melt cheese on those abs!"
Barkem simply rushed to attack Obito and when he was within range, his fist flew towards the goat demon's face… to no effect.
It hit his snout and didn't even budge it, each following attempt didn't so much as shift his hands before he grabbed his twelfth punch.
"I'd love to simply tell you to fuck off but you went too far," Obito said and his eyes glowed as all the flame around him coalesced into his mouth. "Perish."
Barkem's eye widened and he only raised his other hand to shield himself to no effect.
A burning blast of heat rocked the air, eclipsing the actual demon's body before tearing across the landscape and into the horizon the moment Obito opened his mouth.
It came to an end a moment later and all that was left was the demon's hand which he dropped and crushed underfoot.
His gaze turned to the horrified duo of Overlords who paled.
Obito vanished from his spot before reappearing in front of them.
"If you don't wish to share the same fate but worse I suggest you start talking," he said with a growl, large, sharp, teeth showing their reflections within. "Who is your boss?"
"W-We don't know!" Mariem squeaked and Obito's eyes narrowed, causing the form of her beloved to step in front of her. "C-Caesar don't!"
"We do not know," he said clearly and concisely, still looking nervous. "I'd promise that on my very being as a demon, Barkem is the only one who knew."
Obito let out a breath through his nose before grunting. "Fucking hell… Then, I'll swear on my very being as a demon that if you are not lying to me, I'll leave you be… but if you come back into my life pulling some shit like this again… I'm going to kill you for over a thousand days. ARE. WE. CLEAR?"
"Y-Yes, sir!" Both sinners said, Caesar going back to his normal form so the two could hug for dear life. "Never again!"
"Snrt, good," Obito said, running a hand through his mane once more. "I guess goats do have manes," he muttered before walking off.
~NRK~
The group had reconvened in Mimzy's home and were simply going over everything that had happened.
"So, we're all in agreement that he's hotter than a bunch of bonfires," Angel Dust declared with a small mallet."
"Here, here."
"Good, so, what else are we gonna talk about?"
"Well… for one, I think I'm going to have to call my dad," Charlie said with her hands on her thighs. "This whole situation is kind of crazy so we'll probably need to have him look into this."
"Sounds sound," Stolas said with a smile as Octavia, Millie, Moxxie, and Charlie giggled a bit. "Hmm, well, the clock tower's going to need to be changed, again."
"As well as the people working in it," Stella added. "Whoever this was had access to the clock tower. That's dangerous."
"Wait, isn't it just that Barkem dude?" Loona asked.
"No, Barkem was never that good at networking… we'd been worried that this was possible," she said as Stolas nodded and Octavia hummed. "We believe that someone was pulling the strings behind him and that's more concerning."
"So, someone else Stolas gave a cold shoulder to?" Blitzo asked as he drank some coffee. "Can't say I'm surprised."
"I'm offended," Stolas said with a shrug. "But it happens. For now, the worst of our issues should be dealt with, the Purge is, hopefully and morbidly, going to go on like how it's supposed to."
"... I mean, will it?" Moxxie asked. "Didn't Obito just wipe out all the angels in the sky? Not just that but he killed the angels in his dimension, in the city, and more. How many Exorcists does heaven typically send when the Purge happens?"
The group blinked at the idea.
"Well, while not as overcrowded, heaven should have more than enough souls to come down and purge demons," Vaggie said. "That said, I don't know if God would constantly lob bombs at a titanium wall that'd eat a bit of his hands."
"So, it should slow down is what you're saying?" Mimzy asked.
"I can't really say anything."
"Well, we can see, yeah?" Millie asked. "This is kind of a whole different thing for us."
"Kind of like Obito," Octavia said. "All that power, even in less than ten minutes, isn't exactly a tiny thing… but I'd question what's stopping him from spamming it?"
"I think we'll learn soon enough," Stolas said as a familiar figure phased through the door of the basement. "Ah, speaking of Satan-"
Then Obito faceplanted, his body going back to normal, regaining his butler uniform, and going limp.
"... I assume this is the downside."
Obito awoke several hours later with a groan and sigh, laying down on a mattress in the corner of Mimzy's basement.
"Angel, get off of me."
"Ahh~" The spider demon grinned as he sat up, stretched, and then stood, allowing Obito to sit up…? "Oh, yeah, totally thought you'd be too warm in your outfit."
"I'm not even going to ask…. Vaggie changed me."
"How'd did you?" Vaggie blinked. "I mean, yeah, I did, I'm both a little weirded out but intrigued. How'd ya know?"
"Because no one else would have left me in a shirt," Obito said, looking down at his white shirt. "I honestly don't think I'd be this clothed if anyone else did it… Yes, including you two, Moxxie and Millie."
"I… uhhh," Moxxie blinked while Millie giggled. "... Touche."
"Of course," Obito said before rolling his shoulders. "So, what happened? How long has it been? Are there more angels outside? And did those two Overlords come back and try to start shit?"
"In that order," Stolas said. "You fell unconscious, it's been three hours, only a small amount, and no. A rather good turnout."
"Hmph, so we're halfway through the day?"
"Yup," Charlie said with a smile. "So, we're here to chill. With how things are going, this should be the calmest Purge we've ever had, thanks to you," she said with a bow. "Thanks."
"Hmph, it's no problem, I'm just glad this is taken care of for now," Obito said, getting hums from her.
"So, it's true, there's someone pulling the strings?" Mimzy asked.
"It makes the most sense, Barkem's not exactly a mastermind type and isn't the one who had Stolas's energy memorized. We don't know who this person is but they're more familiar with you than I know, Stolas-sama."
"Well, that's not exactly a small list," Stolas said with a frown. "Parties usually happen every other week to a month. Things are different for the Purge month so we haven't seen anyone. That said, there are numerous demons I've spoken with at length."
"Then there's the possibility that it could be a human," Stella said, confusing some of the group. "You all don't really know but contact with the human world is typically something only royalty is allowed to do."
Blitzo tugged at his collar with a clearing throat. "Y-Yeah, don't you know the rules?" He asked with a grunt.
Stolas was amused. "She's correct, there are those who worship demons, the cultist trying to get us to take over the human world, a foolish endeavor, and those who seek knowledge on things I'm well-known for. Herbs, astrology, and so on."
"Wait, do you give humans, like, powers or something?" Angel Dust asked curiously. "I mean, what the heck do you usually get in return?"
"They become bound for hell, Angel," Vaggie said. "They've made contact with, and summoned, a demon, those types of people are easily hellbound."
"Damn and all for some knowledge, humans were greedy but I didn't think they got that desperate."
"Humans are odd," Obito said. "The greatest heroes and villains come from heroes, think about it. At the end of the day, there are those who deal with the likes of us and those who'd do the same for angels."
"There are the Cherubs," Moxxie said. "They're angels who go to Earth to save humans from odd disasters."
"Then there are the Exorcists, obviously," Millie said.
"People are stupid," Loona added. "And it's not exactly like they become geniuses when they get down here."
"They don't," Obito said as Fat Nuggets reached him. "No, seriously, where do these pigs come from? I'm getting curious."
"Hehe, got him from the Wrath Ring via delivery," Angel Dust said with a grin as the big's body was covered in small eyes. "They're the cutest!"
"They kind of are," Octavia said with a smile sitting on the edge of Obito's bed, petting the pig on its spine and it trotted over to her. "Utterly fascinating."
"I'm just thankful this ended up way better than I ever thought," Blitzo said with a sigh of relief before the lights above flickered on. "... Oh, right, they caused that, didn't they?"
A ring came from Charlie's pants pocket and the group blinked as her eyes widened.
"T-That has to be my parents!" She realized, bringing it out in an instant and answering the call. "Dad?!"
She listened to her father and chuckled nervously before putting it on speaker.
"W-Well, you're on speaker, and things got kind of crazy, dad…" She said to the group.
-So, I've seen. What the hell happened in hell?!- Came the voice of Lucifer Magne, Charlie's father and the King of Hell. -Your mother hasn't even put down her mirror and you know how she gets-
-Excuse me? I can put my mirror down whenever I wish- Came the voice of Lilith Magne, Queen of Hell and Charlie's mom. -I'm just… adjusting a fringe-
Charlie winced at that. "I'm sorry, mom, really."
-I know, my dear, besides I doubt this was your fault as is- Lilith said 'kindly'. -Now, who's around you?-
"That would be we of the Ars Goetia, Stolas the Owl, at your leisure," Stolas said with a bow to the phone.
"Stella, charmed," Stella said, bowing as well.
"Uh, hi, Charlie's mom and dad," Octavia said, waving at it.
-Stolas is there? With his family? Why?- Lucifer asked. -What happened?-
The group went in turns explaining what happened, each part from the movement to Happy Hotel's bunker, the early warnings of Barkem, the Exorcists, the attacking Overlords, and everything else.
Things finished off with Obito telling them the last of the fight with the Overlords and Barkem's death.
-... Fascinating, aren't you?- Lucifer asked with what Obito felt was a smirk. -Interesting, interesting. A powerful demon like yourself, a sinner, at that, I have to say, you must be this white beast they all spoke of-
"... Yes, that's true," Obito said as Lilith chuckled.
-The videos of you have been rather interesting- Lilith said. -And Barkem is dead? That's quite the claim to make-
"I believe I can explain," Stolas said and Obito raised a brow. "Obito's powers are unorthodox in their entirety but the drawback and limit are clear to me," he said. "I believe Obito's ten-minute limit is caused by his ability to circumvent the rules of hell."
The group blinked.
"What do you mean?" Obito asked.
"Barkem shouldn't have died so easily yet you've literally burned him out of existence. That entails that you have power beyond your station as a sinner, even with your odd origins."
-Odd origins?- Lucifer asked and Stolas smiled.
"Yes, Obito comes from another form of afterlife," Mimzy balked. "And his world is far less, and yet more, turbulent than our human world."
-... Somehow, I feel like this isn't good enough, Obito Uchiha- the King of Hell said and Obito's eyebrow rose. -Yes, I can't very well just talk to you through a phone. So, how about you bring your posse to the manor, Charlie?-
The group, as one, choked at the idea of what was being suggested.
"D-Dad?!" Charlie squeaked. "Y-You want us at home?"
-It will be good to both check up on you and speak with this odd demon you've become acquainted with- Lilith elaborated with a giggle. -Honestly, I can't wait. His fur seemed so fascinating-
"Thank you?" Obito said unsurely as Octavia snickered along with the imps and Loona. "Right, well, I guess Charlie will bring us over then, sir, ma'am."
-And he's polite? Why you're buttering me up already- Lucifer said with a chuckle. -Charlie, we'll meet soon enough-
"O-Okay, later, dad!"
The call ended and the group was left in silence.
"We're about to go and meet the rulers of hell," Angel Dust realized and his mouth dropped to the floor. "W-We're about to meet motherfucking LUCIFER! What the hell just happened!?"
"I think it's all my fault," Obito considered and Stella smirked while Stolas chuckled. "Yes, I think this one's on me."
"S-So we're all going to meet the King of Hell?" Mimzy asked and felt faint. "O-Oooh, no."
"Shit, we need suits," Blitzo realized and Loona grunted. "And a dress for Loonie! We've got things to do!"
"W-Wait, hold on! No!" Loona said in horror.
"It'll be fun, Loona," Millie said with a grin and stars in her eyes. "Why, we could go all out for a bit!"
"I-I don't think so."
"Hmph, so this will be an odd situation," Obito said as he crossed his legs and held a fist to his cheek as Nuggets walked over. "I'm gonna need a whole new suit, as well."
"Then let's make it a trip tomorrow," Octavia said with a grin. "We can tell Lucifer that we'll do it the day after the Purge. That way we're all ready."
"I believe that's in order," Stolas said before bowing to the group. "Thank you, all of you, you've all helped to keep me safe and deal with this horrid day. I think an all-expense-paid trip to the spa and for our formal wear sounds grand! And we can even see about securing a few tickets to Loo Loo Land!"
Charlie and Millie gasped. "LOO LOO LAND?!" They shouted in unison.
"R-Really?" Octavia said with a blush before grunting. "I mean… I guess it wouldn't be so bad."
"Hmph, you did love it," Stella said and Octavia smiled a bit, much to her observation. "Hmph, very well."
"This whole situation got crazy," Mimzy said. "Still, a trip to the spas of high society always has a hot spring! This is gonna be so good for my body!"
"Hot springs?" Angel Dust asked with interest. "I heard about those things… Alright, I'm liking it!"
Obito hummed at it all.
'My life's gotten odder even after death.'
Well, some things change and some stay the same.

That's the end to the Purge but we've got a meeting on the horizon that's rather high-profile.
Before I move to the next chapter, I'm just curious, do we have a canon personality for Lucifer and Lilith? I've read all the comics on the Hazbin website about Angel and Alastor, seen the Addict video, and so on but are there any comics that give us a good idea about the two?
Other than that, yeah, this was large as hell. Pun intended.
And I think I actually got this whole large group thing down, this was way easier to write than it usually is.
So, chapter rundown:
Am I the only one who can't wait for Moxxie and Loona to actually get to talk in the show? I think it's going to come up in either the next episode or the one after.
Loona interacted more with Blitzo and Millie compared to him while Moxxie has more with Blitzo as of the recent episode and has at least spoken to Stolas. I'm looking forward to it and so added my own.
We don't know how Moxxie and Millie met so I do it like this, giving a lot of open 'space' for that event to happen while implying it happened over a long period.
Two, we delve into Loona's world for a bit. I'm working with two concepts.
One, she was in an orphanage and didn't get adopted until close to her 18th birthday when Blitzo came into her life. It shows, especially in episode 3, that Loona really does value Blitzo for everything he's done for her despite her attitude. She does not seem like the type to apologize unless she actually sees their point, and even then she'd be difficult, or it's Blitzo.
Second, she doesn't have friends and I don't think she's met another Hellhound before. I don't know but we know she doesn't really interact with others outside of those she's forced to interact with. But I also believe Loona did try in the past to be like them before realizing she wasn't and that's a holdover.
And, please, Loona, you'd fall for someone immediately whether you know it or not but it's clear she doesn't know how it works with Obito compared to Vortex where it was acknowledged on first sight. Also, yes, I'm using Crymini as Vortex's girlfriend in this fic, hope you guys don't mind.
Next, let's talk about Stella Ars Goetia… I've already got her backstory planned out, it should be clear from all the hints I've dropped as to what it is generally, and her bond with Obito is one built on romantic feelings, the image he portrays, and the demon he is.
Obito is everything she sees a royal demon to be like. Cool, smart, collected, and now with the end of the chapter, powerful beyond words. Oh, and hot, of course.
Not just that but, as much as any demon wouldn't admit it outside of Charlie, he cares. Even as a servant, Stella finds that trait completely acceptable and finds his presence just pleasant to be around.
She's a cocktail of emotions and trouble we'll delve into one day.
Next, we meet up with Charlie and friends again where we get another hint to how powerful Obito is. Next, we get into Charlie's head via Moxxie, Obito, and Angel Dust on how she runs her hotel.
It's true, though, no? Charlie jumped right into the idea, her hotel has no real staff, and it's not full of fresh food. It's like she had an idea and just jumped right into it.
I approached it from that angle and I'm glad with how it came out. Where we have demons from three different walks of life explaining to her how her ideas and options don't seem plausible just by wanting them to be.
I'm glad I could do this some justice, I hope.
And, finally, we have the entire 'event' that is the Purge Attack. Note, Exorcists have been noted as being bloodthirsty, overeager, and having fun with their job. I wouldn't doubt that they're just waiting by the portal for the Purge and so with that tracking spell, it kind of kickstarted it all early.
The angels going into Obito's dimension, I feel, makes sense. They're capable of passing through dimensions whether it's by the will of God or Lucifer, and I worked with that idea.
Onto the Overlords, Mariem and Red Caesar are two of the ones from that panel with the Overlords that Vaggie speaks of, you know which one I mean. The rolling shot with Alastor and Vox as the centerpieces.
And we finally see Obito going all-out and his form is simple and yet completely influenced by his past life's events. I've always knew this would be his form for the past week. We'll get into its effects and downsides more specifically eventually.
And, we have the end. Lucifer & Lilith, the Triple Vs Overlords, the new station, and Alastor along with so many other demons are audiences to Obito's power and it'll be an attention grabber soon after.
And, yes, I promise we'll get back to Hellavu Boss's thing soon. No take-backs.
Ciao.
P.S. I really like the idea of Obito x Barbie Wire (Blitzo's sister), it just seems like a fun idea for another story. Hope we see her soon.
