"Most people would hesitate before trying to take over primordial energy." Aizen's voice washed over me as my gaze fixated itself.

Wincing once as every part of my being seemed to convulse in on itself, I shook my head and tried to focus on my surroundings. Blinking a few times after that, I let out a sigh as I took in Aizen's inner world.

Before once again completely panicking as I looked over my hands and finally saw the dark, spreading energy that was slowly growing up the length of my arms.

"Well, definitely not doing that again!" I snorted after another brief moment, the clarity of what was happening to me ignored as I raised my gaze back towards a passive Aizen Sosuke. The man currently waving his hands around before in an intricate pattern of sorts. Reiatsu overflowing and covering-

"Somehow, I don't think you're going to get the chance to, ever again." The shinigami sniffed, uncaringly.

-Me?

When I noticed the box slowly growing around me, I realized the guy was trying to cut me off, or prevent the spread of energy at any rate from reaching out towards him.

"Your body?" I questioned passively.

"In Soul Society, currently encased within every barrier those fools could think up." The man remarked easily. "Grantz thought it prudent to send it back the moment you absorbed Starrk's primordial reiatsu. Not that it'd help all that much."

"That was prudent of him," I idly agreed, before electing to cross my legs as I took a seat on the floor and leveled a look towards Aizen. "I take it your soul's gonna be fine?"

He nodded wordlessly as he lowered his arms, the barrier surrounding me evidently complete. "I am afraid you've gotten yourself a one-way ticket."

I idly leaned back against my hands, ignoring the wince of pain it sent me as I took in the shinigami's pristine, crystal clear, background. "You must be happy, finally get to take control again." I chuckled.

He made no response to the words, barring the raising of an eyebrow. For a moment he looked about to say something before he changed his mind and chose to look around himself instead.

The two of us settled into a momentary lapse of silence before I decided to break it again.

"Where's Kyoka?" I questioned, earning the man's attention again.

"I do believe that's the least of your concerns." He stated before taking a few steps closer towards me, his gaze appraising me as his expression seemed to- twist? "Well?" He questioned impatiently. "Aren't you going to ask me if I could help? Or do you think me incapable?" There was... an edge to his voice?

I blinked owlishly at the man.

"Lost cause." I deadpanned. "I don't see any scenario that involves you helping me clean up after myself for what I tried to pull."

His annoyed expression disappeared as an aloof one took over. "Ah. Well, you're not wrong. But just so we're clear, I am capable of containing it."

"I don't doubt that." I shrugged, leaning my head back on the ground as the pain went on ignored. "Try and take it easy on Soul Society will you? I know-" For whatever reason, my words seemed to irritate the man all the more-

"Do not presume to tell me what to do."

"...Eh, it was worth a shot. Can't blame me for trying." I chuckled, wincing at the sudden pain it caused as the energy seemed to reach up and pass my shoulders.

"...Is-"

"If you don't mind, I'd really just prefer some peace and quiet, not that I am telling you what to do- But you know, dying man's wish-"

"You little brat!"

To my shame, I'll admit to been somewhat surprised and startled at the sudden venomous tone Aizen's voice took, as I rapidly raised myself into a seating position, wide-eyed, before narrowing my eyes as I locked gazes with him. "Jeez, show a little compassion- You're not seriously about to ask me for more secrets are you!?"

My words thankfully seemed to reach him as his expression turned passive once again. The man seemingly unsure himself as his gaze wandered everywhere else but my direct position. Eventually an audible 'tch' echoed out of him as he turned around and looked in the opposite direction, crossing his arms in the process.

With a sigh, I leaned my head back on the ground and settled my gaze on the sky, my mind somewhat surprised at the fact there were literal moving clouds in it.

Letting out a snort at the fact Aizen's went into so much detail as to even include that, I couldn't help but shake my head.

"What sort of person condemns themselves so easily?" Aizen eventually broke the silence again with the question, even if his gaze refused to look back towards me.

"In my defense, I was trying to, you know, loot Groban's regeneration bullshit." I deadpanned.

My words seemed to draw his gaze again as he turned his head back the slightest. "That's not what I am referring to." He remarked passively. "You hadn't even considered asking for my help."

"'cos I know you." I deadpanned. "This is literally your ticket to get out of here and take back control. Ain't gonna spend my last moments begging you to help me out."

Something seemed to flash across his eyes as he fully turned around towards me, before annoyance, for whatever reason, took-

"You're far too arrogant for your own good." He remarked with a steel tone to his voice. "As if a mortal could ever comprehend who I am and what I am capable of."

I shrugged in response and focused my gaze back on the sky. "Whatever floats your boat, Aizen."

"For one thing." The man added on, gritting his teeth. "I wouldn't throw away someone with actual use to me."

I hummed along to the words before letting a grin take over my face. "You cut down Harribel, one of the few Vasto Lordes under your employ, in the original timeline for 'taking too long.'"

"... She did. She should've been able to cut down Hitsugaya with ease."

"If you say so."

"...I am going to let that one pass-"

"Dude, lesson one in threatening, it doesn't work on someone on death's literal doo-" As if to contradict my point, the man immediately started walking towards me, the barrier he'd put up letting him pass without preamble as I rapidly stood up, my eyes widened, before he roughly grabbed me by the scruff of my shirt.

Okay, Aizen's clearly going insane- My eyes widened further as I watched the energy rapidly try to latch onto his- "Dude, your-"

"Is it so hard to fathom that I would help you!?" He questioned, angry. Before his gaze trailed down towards the energy as he promptly let go, and started pushing his own reiatsu into the curse trying to take over his soul as well. The dark energy practically burning up as it disappeared off of him.

I blinked once at the question before promptly standing up myself and locked gazes with him. "Yes." I deadpanned, nodding my head once for added effect. I raised a finger. "I've literally done nothing but piss you off since I got here," Raised another. "Took over you without consent," Raised a third. "And metaphorically, and literally, turned the entire hollow realm, along with every one of your plans upside down in the span of a single day."

"...And how many people can you list off capable of that?" He questioned easily, crossing his arms again as he raised a single eyebrow.

"...A few actuall-"

He rolled his eyes.

"Accidentally. Without intention."

I blinked again, opened my mouth to retort and promptly closed it.

"Exactly." He remarked as if that answered everything.

"...That just makes me sound like an idiot." I deadpanned.

"There's no denying that."

"...Okay, well it was good to know you-" I immediately shut my mouth as I took in the visible anger that immediately took over his face.

"Do you have a deathwish!? Because that would explain a lot."

"Well, that's just insensitive," I remarked, narrowing my eyes. "Way too soon man."

His head tilted to the side, as he just stared at me in sheer confusion and wonder.

"Aizen?"

He grabbed the bridge of his nose with one hand and closed his eyes.

"Ask for my help, you goddamn idiot."

"...You do understand this means you don't get control-"

"I am aware." He gritted through his teeth. "But I'll be damned if I don't solve that issue myself. I won't let that dog think he can do what I can't, even if it required his own death."

"Ah. It's an ego thing then. Gotcha."

He let out a tired sigh, blinked once, and shrugged. "Sure, let's go with that."

I nodded along.

"How much would it piss you off if I didn't ask for your help right now, anyway?" I deadpanned in response.

"Are you serious right now?"

"Possibly." I rolled my eyes at the sudden twitch on his face, "Oh alright, don't throw a hissy fit." I deadpanned and reached an arm out. "Go on then, get rid of it."

"..." he simply stared at the hand, before looking back up towards me. "...Would you have truly just accepted it? Accepted the finality of it all?"

I shrugged in response. "I am human, kinda comes with the gig."

He shook his head.

"Humans don't just accept that sort of thing. They fight tooth and nail for any chance to overcome it."

"To be fair, I did get eaten by a shark before I took over you. Maybe that has something to do with it?"

"...Maybe." He remarked passively. Though judging by the look on his face, he doubted it. "Though all the evidence points to you being a one-of-a-kind moron."

"Aww, you think I am one-of-a-kind? I didn't know you cared." I deadpanned, earning another twitch. "So, you gonna fix me up or what? 'cos I'd like my five minutes of silence otherwise."

"I don't care. It's a matter of principle." The man sniffed before his reiatsu started to reach out.

I really doubted that.

When the reiatsu reached me, my sight briefly went dark as a sense of peace seemed to fill me up. When said sight came back, I found myself standing inside a transparent barrier, the energy convulsing around me simmering down as I took in an absolutely gobsmacked audience filled with shinigami.

Needless to say, I grinned at all of them. Even as my mind dutifully ignored the sheer surge of power I felt inside of me.

"I am back-" The sudden shocking jolt that filled me stopped me from adding a 'bitches' to the end of my sentence as my mouth snapped shut.

Look at that, I am regretting this already.
