As the end of winter festival approaches, and with Elrond out of Imladris, a series of unfortunate events begins to unfold affecting Legolas, Estel and their entire family. NO character death and this story has a happy ending because I hate sad endings with a passion.

The Elvenking of the Woodland Realm was a prideful creature. Gandalf respected him - although Thranduil could be difficult at times - and it was not usually the Istar's inclination to interfere in the privacy of the Elves, but the old wizard believed it now time to break certain habits.
