…~~~oOo~~~…
Eyelids fluttered open, blue eyes drearily taking in their surroundings. The first thing Danny was able to recognize through the fog of his mind was something cold and metallic clamped around his ankle, dragging him down cool corridors. The next thing was that he was back in human form as he could feel his jeans, tee shirt and sneakers. Memories of recent raced to the front of his mind.
Earlier
Space, duh
"Wow, they're practically locking down the town."
The fairies, teens, Timmy and Mark watched on a monitor the army of robots blocking any access to Amity Park, meaning no one can get in… or out.
"Okay, we need to find out where those robots are coming from and pull the plug." Danny stated, his ghostly green eyes narrrowed in contemplation.
Mark was fiddling with a monitor. "I have the location of *shudder* Mandie's ship. It's parked in orbit around your planet. However, it appears to, like, not be where the robots are coming from." A holographic map of the city appeared, a red dot marking a area. "It looks like she has set up a base of sorts within your city."
Danny activated the Fenton Phones, "What's the status of the robots?"
'It's quiet over here; besides the ones combing the lab and the ones standing guard outside, they're not doing much,' Sam replied.
"Well, the one they're targeting isn't in the building anymore…" Tucker commented, humming thoughtfully to himself. He then turned to the fairies. "Why not just wish her away or something?" He asked, pushing his glasses up with a finger.
"Unfortunately, it's not as easy as that as she has tech that can combat fairy magic," Wanda sighed. "The last few times she had shown up, Cosmo and I had spent the venture either frozen or shrunken."
"Hmm, so we'll be needing gear. Mark, any idea of when your friends will be here?"
As soon as the question was asked, an alert popped up to indicate the docking of a ship. Large doors then slide open, revealing two aliens like Mark.
"Jeff! Erik!"/"Mark!" The three greeted each other with their equivalent of high fives.
"It is, like, so rad for you to be here! You remember Turner, chocolate-eating warrior of Earth and his winged associates. Meet the fierce champion of the earth city Amity Park, Phantom," Mark pointed to Danny. "And his friend, the computer genius Tucker." Tucker puffed out his chest in pride at Mark's description.
"Sup!"/"Pleasure." Greeted the two aliens.
Crystal Da Pony: Jump Cut!
Somewhere undisclosed to the audience…
"Looks like Mark's with his little friends. Well then, let's send them a present." A finger presses a button.
Crystal Da Pony: Jump cut back to our heroes!
Timmy and Wanda had joined the aliens at the docking port, looking over the gear. "Okay, now we can-" Timmy is cut off by the ship rumbling and shaking. The lights began to flicker, before dying out completely. This happens all throughout the ship. "What happened?"
The comms on the ship blazed to life. "Okay, good news and bad news." Tucker reported from the bridge, his face being illuminated by his PDA. The only other source of luminance was from Danny's ghost form. "Good news: the ship's fine, just the lights have been knocked out and the controls to the doors are fried. Everything else is still working."
"And the bad news?" Wanda asked, her wand casting light on her and Timmy's faces.
"I can't fix them from here. I'll need to go reset the lights and doors manually."
"That would be in the engine room," Mark said. "Though it would be hard to fix them in the dark.
Tucker then turned to his glowing friend. "It's a good thing I brought a night light." Timmy's snickering has heard on the com link.
Danny didn't respond to Tucker's jab, instead listening to what Sam was relaying. "Don't you think it's strange that the robots aren't doing much?"
"So long as nobody's getting hurt, we can focus more on stopping Mandie -"
"Dann-*Static* -king up*static*"
"Sam?" Danny tapped his earpiece, only for interference to garble through. Danny furrowed his brow, an uneasy feeling settling in his gut.
"So you and Danny will go to fix the lights while the rest of us head-"
"Wait, something's up." Danny spoke up. "Doesn't this seem a bit too… deliberate?"
Tucker snorted. "This isn't some horror movie."
"No, that's not-"
*CRREEEAAAKK* the eerie sound of metal, followed by a shuddering of the fathership, silenced all conversation.
"Okay, now it's starting to feel like a horror movie." Tucker muttered. A scream echoed through the halls, followed by sounds of weapon fire.
"Mandie's robots have gotten in!" Timmy's frantic voice came on the ship's speakers. More sounds of weapon fire echoed before the speakers blared again "Wanda's magic is completely blocked!"
"Hang on, we're on our way!" Danny flew down the hall, with Tucker following. Before the boys could get very far, sharp pain pounded their skulls, causing them to halt in their dash. Robots marched in ahead of them.
Danny activated the Fenton Phones as he fired at the upcoming robots. "Sam, the robots have gotten onto the ship and magic won't work on them. Tucker, you need to run-" Danny was unable to finish as darkness overcame his vision.
Becoming fully awake as he became aware of the situation, Danny switched to his ghost form and blasted the head of the robot off.
"Okay, now to find the others." Danny activated the earphones. "Can anyone hear me?…. Darn it, something's blocking the signal. Probably our visitors. Guess I'm finding them the old fashioned way." Turning invisible, Danny floated down the corridor in the direction the robot was dragging him as he figured the others would be down that way. It wasn't long before he heard someone struggling.
"Sounds like Tucker-" a loud scream answered the halfa's pondering, his ears ringing from the pitch. "Yep, that's Tuck." Danny sped down the halls, encountering three robots. One had Tucker slung over the shoulder.
"Hey rusty bolts!"
With the use of his intangibility, Danny phased Tucker out of the robot's grasp and flew off, phasing through the door at the end. They found themselves on a walkway overlooking the different floors of the building. Tucker ran to the other end of the walkway as Danny stood waited for the robots. He didn't have to wait long, the door sliding open to reveal weapon fire.
Using his energy shield, Phantom blocked the blasts, deflecting some of the blasts back at the metal men as they progressed forward. The ranged attacks became melee as the droids attempted to strike the ghost boy; keyword attempted. The robots weren't built to combat entities that could turn intangible, like ghosts. Danny made light work of the metal opponents. The final robot ended up going over the railing. Danny and Tucker peered over the edge, intently watching the robot's descent, not noticing the third observer joining them.
Tucker gave a long whistle when the robot finally made contact with the bottom, "That's a long way down…"
"We better get going and find the others before anyone finds out we're gone." Danny said, looking at the catwalks.
"I say we find a terminal and I try to hack into the system. We can find out where they keep the prisoners and I can take down the comm-jammers."
"Sounds good."
"I second the motion," a voice from next to them said.
"GAH!" Both Tucker and Danny jumped in surprise, quite shocked to see the equally surprised face of a certain blue-haired fairy.
"Zeke? What are you doing here?!"
The fairy had a baffled look as he shrugged his shoulders. "I honestly have no idea. I was actually headed to Chicago when I was pulled here."
"Looks like you made a wrong turn at Albuquerque." Danny snarked, Tucker and Zeke snorting at the remark
"I didn't even know where here was until I saw you guys. What's going on?"
"An Alien friend of Timmy's is being hunted by a crazed, hot space chick," Tucker explained, totally ignoring the look Danny was shooting him. "She pretty much wants to waste him."
"She managed to surprise us. Tuck and I just escaped," Danny added.
"Looks like I'm helping with an alien invasion. Who's the bad guy?" Zeke asked.
"Mandie of… what was it? Bowdencia or something."
Zeke's eyes widen in realization, then he scowled. "Ugh, Boudacians; just what we need."
"You know about them?" Danny inquired, raising an eyebrow.
"FairyWorld has been at odds with Boudacia since the 1890s," the teen fairy huffed. "There was a run in with the crowned prince, Keelar (pronounced almost like killer). Since then, the Boudacians have been developing technology to combat our magic. No wonder I was pulled here and haven't been able to use strong magic!"
Tucker frowned. "So you can't use any magic?"
"I still can use some of it. Nothing major like turning the entire building into cheese, but I can still do things. I can totally help."
Danny smiled, patting Zeke's shoulder. "Well, some help is better than none. Okay, let's get moving."

The rhythmic sounds of machinery and marching echoed down the corridors as a platoon of robots trooped on. Soon the sounds receded as the robots passed a console table. A table cloth draped over it, with a creamy vase filled with roses sat on top. After a moment of silence, Timmy, dressed in a functional 'Crash Nebula' uniform, and Wanda came out of their hiding spot.
"Whew, that was close." They continued onwards, listening for any robots heading their way. Their progress was slow as they were being careful.
"Have you found the others?" Timmy asked his fairy godmother, pistol in hand pointed ahead.
Wanda sighed in frustration as her wand flickered. "Mandie must have some sort of device that's all but extinguished my powers. I can only faintly detect Mark as he's two levels above us. The rest are a blur. I can't even find Cosmo whatsoever."
"We should go help Mark and- GAH!" Timmy stumbled back as something appeared in front of the boy through the floor. He shot a ray, but it missed its target. Timmy and Wanda were about to run before a familiar voice called out. "WOAH! It's me!"
"Danny!" Both boy and fairy sighed in relief as Phantom phased through, landing beside them.
"I'm glad I found you guys. You alight?"
"Yes we are," Wanda said, hand over her heart and sighing in relief. "We were actually heading up."
"We think Mark's two floors up and everyone else is spread out." Timmy explained as they continued onward.
"Tucker found a terminal and got locations of most of everyone. I came to find you two while Tuck and Zeke are getting Mark's friends."
Timmy looked at Danny questioningly. "What's Zeke doing here?"
"That boy's always looking for trouble…" Wanda sighed, shaking her head.
"I don't think it was intentional. The important thing is that he's helping. Do either of you have any idea of Cosmo's whereabouts?" Both Timmy and Wanda shook their heads. "We couldn't find his location. I was hoping that he was with you two."
"We'll find him, but we need to rescue Mark first."
Danny nodded. "Tucker and the others are heading to the main computers to shut down the robots. Coincidentally, it's near where it sound's like Mark is being- GET DOWN!"
The three drop down to the floor as a blast buzzed past. A platoon of mechanical warriors descended on them. Danny shot off, landing a blow on the first robot, sending it flying back. Evading the punches and shots the robots sent his way, Danny wove through the droids, taking them down one by one. Timmy was providing cover fire from a safe distance. It was looking promising until one's hand changed into some odd looking device with prongs, which then started to spark. The robot jabbed the weapon into Phantom's side, shocking the halfa, who let out a yelp of pain and fell to the floor.
"Ugh, why is it always electricity?" The teen groaned, then rolling away from a stomping foot. The robot with the taser came at Danny again, intending on shocking him. This time, Danny caught the robot's arm and, after getting an idea, sent his ghost stinger coursing through the droid. The robot convulsed before being fried and fell to the ground, smoke rising up.
"HA! A taste of your own medicine!" Danny huffed in satisfaction as he dodged more attacks. He then lifted his hands, intending on grabbing another robot to use his ghost stinger on. Just as he charged his attack, the ghost stinger changed. The dim green energy flared to a fierce, golden bolts of electricity that danced up the halfa's arms and shot off at the platoon. The lightning exploded, decimating the remaining robots and much of the walls. Scorch marks stretched a good ways away. The attack had also fried the lights for a part of the hallway, only a few left flickering on the last of their life.
Danny stared at his hands, dumbfounded. "Did I do that?"
"Woah… that was so AWESOME!" Timmy exclaimed, excitedly scampering up to Danny.
Wanda flew up to Danny, looking a bit concerned. "Are you okay?"
Danny glanced back at the scorched robots, then back at his hands, still looking shocked. An excited grin crept up his face. "I think I got a new power… I can shoot lightning now?" Danny held up a hand. His eyes began to glow gold as electricity danced between his fingers. "AWESOME!" He laughed, letting the energy fade and his eyes returned to their usual neon green.
"A new power? Really?!" Timmy asked, looking in awe.
"Well I certainly couldn't do THAT before," Danny wave a hand to the blasted hallway. "I had the ghost stinger, but that was more of either along the lines of a static shock or at times redirecting the current. Again, nothing like that."
The trio continued onward, only encountering robots twice more. Both times Danny had shot them (gleefully) with lightning, but he managed to tone down the strength of the attack. They soon came across a large set of ornate double doors.
"Something tells me Mandie's behind those doors." Timmy muttered, looking at the engraved design of a crown above the doors. Grabbing both Timmy's and Wanda's hands, Danny Phased them through the doors invisibly.
The invisible group found themselves in what one could describe as a throne room. The room was spacious, its size being added to by the vaulted ceiling. Large, decorative pillars lined the sides of the room. One wall was complete window with a spacious balcony, allowing the occupants of the room to see Amity Park. Several droids were stationed about the room; two of them held Mark. At the opposite end of the room, perched on a throne, was Mandie, who was grinning triumphantly at Mark. Danny deposited Wanda and Timmy in a hidden corner before positioning himself behind the captured prince.
"Hello Mark. Long time, no see."
"Hey Mandie. Um, how about you- like, not kill me?" Mark said, looking quite nervous. Mandie only smirked. Before anything else was said, Mark suddenly vanished.
Mandie blinked in surprise, then swiftly became furious. "Where is he?!"
A floor below the fuming princess, Phantom and Mark Chang appeared before Zeke, who was waiting.
"This is Zeke, a friend."
"Sup!" Both fairy and alien greeted.
"Tucker, Jeff and Erik are on their way to the control center for the robots. They just need some time to shut them down."
"Mandie told me, before you pulled me from her evil clutches, about an explosive she had planted. I can totally go and disable it."
"Okay, another thing to worry about. I'll distract miss high and mighty. Zeke, you and Mark go take care of that bomb." Danny directed, then disappeared.
Phantom, invisibly, returned to the throne room… where Timmy was running around the room, shooting lasers.
"Ha, can't catch me!" The small boy called out. Before the robots could make to grab him, Timmy disappeared.
"What the-" Mandie was cut off by Timmy, who reappeared on the other side.
"Nyah, Nyah!" Timmy blew a raspberry, before disappearing and reappearing in a different spot. This happened a few more times, with each appearance leading to the destruction of more robots.
"Is this your plan? A little game of hide and seek?" Mandie asked, felling pretty annoyed.
"Nope, I'm just having fun before you get your butt kicked." Timmy stated, reappearing by the doors.
Mandie smirked, sauntering over to the boy. "You think that you can fight me?" She drew her plasma sword, the flames of the blade casting light on her face, giving her a sinister look. "In case you haven't realized yet, your fairies' magic won't work."
Timmy only gave a disinterested look to her. Just as she drew near, she was blasted away by an ectoblast.
"Who shot me?" Mandie growled, picking herself off the floor.
"I did." Returning to visibility, standing in front of Timmy, was Danny Phantom, hand still smoking. The sudden appearance quite surprised the princess.
"Who are you?" She questioned, not so much as mad, now more curious.
The teen crossed his arms. "The guy who's gonna kick your butt if you don't stand down. You can call me Phantom."
Mandie smirked, "Aren't you interesting. Unfortunately, I won't be backing down." She stood in a ready position, plasma sword held in front.
Fighting a smile, Danny pretended to be disappointed. "Aww, and here I thought you would of chosen the easy way." With a blue glow, a ghost-ice sword materialized in his hand. Danny then adopted a ready position of his own, one hand making the 'come at me' gesture. Grinning, Mandie charged.
Main computer room… place. Man, I'm bad at naming the sci-fi stuff.
Jeff and Erik were keeping lookout as Tucker typed away on the computer, taking down the comm jammers. "Okay, this should do it." He activated his Fenton Phones. "Testing, one two. Can anyone hear me?"
"Reading you loud and clear," Timmy replied, the link buzzing to life.
"Ksh, this is the Zeke-inator. Over." Zeke's voice came onto the line. "Danny gave me a set. Oh, and by the way, Mark and I are apparently going to disable a bomb before his ex decides to leave a parting gift."
"What?!"
"Mandie basically did the whole evil monologue and told him about the explosive she has. We're going to go disable it."
"Man, why do we get the monologuers?" Tucker questioned, working away furiously on his hacking.
"At least it makes it easier to beat them." Danny commented on the line, swatting away the lunge Mandie made.
"I'll try to reconnect Sam and Jazz while I shut down the bots. Good luck dude."
"Thanks." Danny sidestepped another stab attempt, sliding up behind Mandie and delivering a kick, causing her to stumble. Just then, more robots entered the room with a barrage of weapon fire. Between fighting off the melee attacks of the alien princess and dodging blaster fire, Phantom alternated attacking with the ice sword and firing an ectoblast at a robot. Charging forward, Mandie swung her plasma sword overhead, with the intention of striking Danny's head. Acting quickly, he move to block with his ice blade. Both swords met with a hiss, neither plasma being extinguished nor ice melting. Both opponents pushed on their weapons in a mini battle of dominance.
"I am most certainly impressed. You held your own against my robots and myself." She gave the teen a once over, "Strong, brave, resilient…. And easy on the eyes if I do say so myself." She flashed a flirty smile. Danny rose an eyebrow.
"Dude, is she hitting on you?!" Tucker's incredulous voice rang from Danny's earphones.
"Yeah, not interested." Danny suddenly sank through the floor. Not prepared for his sudden disappearance, the alien princess stumbled forward. Before she could collect herself, Phantom phased back behind Mandie and blasted her away. She then collided into the throne, obliterating the furniture.
Picking herself up, the alien princess only grinned. "Well I am!" Her hair became a whirl of flame, as Mandie threw a blast of plasma at the halfa. Phantom met this with a wave of icy energy. The contact of the two opposing elemental attacks erupted with explosive results, throwing up steam.
"I have an offer for you," Mandie emerged from the mist, coming to stand in front of Danny. "Join me, and we can rule the universe, together…" she leaned in close, "as king and queen."
"Ugh, gross!" Timmy called out, ducking behind a pillar and shooting a robot.
"Hmm, the universe you say?" Danny asked, as if he was contemplating her offer.
"Why yes," she replied in a sultry tone.
"What?!" Timmy cried out incredulously, both he and Wanda not believing what was unfolding before them.
Danny debated for a moment, "Here's my answer; one you'll probably find shocking." He said with a smirk, before blasting her away with his lightning.
Tucker started squealing in excitement over the Fenton Phones, "You got a new power?!"
Danny grinned. "Yep! Totally cool, right?" He then glanced at Timmy and Wanda, who were looking relieved. "Thought I was gonna join the dark side, didn't ya?"
"What, of course not!"
Danny then turned to Mandie, who had recovered and was readying another attack. Electricity arced from Danny's fingers.
Back to Tucker
"Sam, can you hear me?"
Static was his only response. Adjusting some settings, Tucker repeated his question as he fiddled with the mainframe.
"*static* -better start making sense before I somehow find a way to send my combat boot through this earpiece." Sam voice hissed into the mic.
"Really?" Tucker questioned, rolling his eyes. "Can you hear me now Sam?"
"Finally! What took you so long?"
"Her highness was blocking all frequencies that weren't her own." Tucker explained as his fingers danced on the keypads in front of him. "I had to hack into the mainframe -man, so cool!- and reconfigure some things. Oh, and by the way, I heard your comment about the combat boot. I don't appreciate being threatened."
"How's my little brother? And what about the others?" Jazz asked, worry lacing her tone.
"Okay, let me back up to where the comms were blocked. It turns out that Bodacian tech can cancel out fairy magic and Mandie was ready for Timmy and the Fairies. We ended up getting split up, me with Mark's two friends, Zeke with Mark-"
"Wait, Zeke's there?"
Tucker glanced at the monitors, watching how the others were doing before returning to his assignment. "The dude's like Loki or something-" a war cry from Maddie rang out. "What's going on over there?"
"Mom fighting the robots," was the reply.
An explosion echoed in the building, causing the building to shake. Tucker glanced at the monitors, where he could see Danny shooting lightning. "Man, Danny and that Mandie chick are really at it. Where can I get a plasma sword like that?" He caught Mandie smiling flirtatiously at his best bud, saying something to him. Danny's response was freezing her feet to the floor.
"And she's back to flirting with him. So sad, can't take no for an answer and won't realize that there are other eligible bachelors in the room…" Tucker muttered to himself.
"NOOOO~!" Wailed Danny and Jazz's dad in anguish over the comm lines.
"Tucker, are you able to hack into the robots?" Jazz asked nervously.
"I'm working on that-"
"Well 'work on that' faster or I will send my combat boot through this earpiece!" Sam threatened.
"Almost-" the sound on stuff breaking cut off Tucker's comment.
"Tucker the genius friend of Phantom, the robots are breaking in!" Jeff screamed, tentacles flailing about in the alien's panic. On screen, a slew of robots swarmed into where Danny was fighting. Timmy and Wanda were snatched up.
"Keep them occupied a little longer!" Tucker pleaded as he entered the final string of code. The door then imploded, with the warrior droids entering the room.
"Tucker!" Desperate cries filtered through the earphones.
Danny glared at his opponent as the robots circled about him, the alien princess grinning triumphantly. Then at once, the robots collapsed, shutting down.
"Alright Tuck!" Cheered Danny.
With Sam and Jazz, the robots had also shut down, freeing their captives. The students cheered, happy that the robots had stopped. "Aha! Once again evil is stopped by Jack Fenton!" Yelled out Mr. Fenton in triumph, much to Jazz's embarrassment. Nobody noticed a glowing, green cloud enter one of the fallen droids, sparking for a bit before resuming its comatose state.
Mandie looked around at her disabled robots. Wanda, now feeling her magic returning to her, flicked out her wand and magically conjured restraints. "No!" Mandie cried, struggling against her bonds. Tucker and Mark's two friends came in, with Zeke and Mark teleporting in right after. quite happy with Mandie's defeat.
"The bomb's been disabled, the robots are getting recalled, and we just stopped a evil dictator from conquering your town," Zeke threw an arm around Tucker. "Not a bad day's work."
Danny, taking notice of her fallen plasma sword across the room, used his telekinesis to summon the weapon, catching it. "You should know by now," Danny remarked, activating the blade and admiring it, before returning his attention to Mandie. "Evil never wins."
Timmy was about to remark about Danny's apparent usage of the force, the robots began to spark. "Um, are they supposed to do that?" The robots glowed green, then came back to life. The lights lights began to flicker, then the comms blared to life.
"MUAHAHAHAHAHA!" A cackle erupted on the intercom as Danny's ghost sense went off.
…~~~oOo~~~…
Tiamat Dragoness: Alrighty, that's this chapter guys.
Crystal Da Pony: Oh no! Someone else has now taken control of the robots!
Foxa Bandicoot: Though I'm pretty sure everyone can guess who.
Crystal Da Pony: *GASP* The Box Ghost?!
….
Sera Threehorn: no
Timothy Jedi/Ninja Lord: I found the scene of Mandie trying to turn Danny amusing.
Crystal Da Pony: A nod to 'NeoMark' and his awesome writing skillz. Speaking of the interaction between Mandie and Danny, I'm starting to suspect that Tia like the idea of Danny sword fighting. Almost all of her fics (current ones and future planned ones) have him in some sort of duel.
Tiamat Dragoness: C'mon, that was so cool when Danny's uses that skill, like when he fought Vlad in 'Infinite Realms'. Well, I hope that you all enjoyed this chapter.
Crystal Da Pony: Read, review, and yodel in the shower- I mean, have a good one!
