Crystal Da Pony: Previously, on 'The Lost Child'

We had last left our heroes in dealing with an invasion! While fighting a swarm of robots, our favorite halfa had gained powers over lightning and electricity. He then fights Mandie as the rest of his team deals with the robots.

With his awesome hacking skills, Tucker shuts down the robots and our heroes capture Mandie. Unfortunately, their victory doesn't last long as a new player now controls the robots.

Foxa Bandicoot: Spoilers. It's Technus.

Crystal Da Pony: Hey!

Tiamat Dragoness: Enjoy this chapter!

Chapter 15

"MUAHAHAHAHA!" A cackle erupted on the intercom as Danny's ghost sense went off.

"Technus…" Danny muttered, standing in the ready position as the robots rose up.

"Yes Ghost Child! I, Technus, master of all technology have taken over these marvelous machines from another world! With this robot army at my disposal, I can finally defeat you and TAKE OVER THE WORLD- and perhaps- THE ENTIRE GALAXY!" Came the Techno-ghost's rant on the intercom.

"Well, it's nice to see he's got big plans," Danny remarked sarcastically, "Tucker."

"No problem dude, I'll just…" they all fell silent as the wall on the far side began to crack. It then exploded open, revealing the console that Tucker used to shut down the robots had now been assimilated into a humongous mech and was slowly increasing in size as Technus absorbed the base's tech. "Uh oh."

The right arm of the robot moved to smash down on the group.

"MOVE!" Danny yelled out, snatching the restrained Mandie and carrying her out of harms way. The rest scattered to avoid being crushed by the large, metal hand.

"Stop this now!" Danny fired an ectoblast at the hulking machinery. To his dismay, in bounced off of a force field, which rippled to visibility from the blast. Danny then had to duck away again from the hand as it attempted to swat him… Only for it to then morphed into a cannon and began to charge.

"I wish we were all out of here!" Timmy called out in a panic.

Zeke used his magic to zap himself, Tucker and the aliens out. Wanda flicked her wand out and poofed Timmy and herself away. Danny, with the alien princess still in his arms, flew out of the room.

Just as Danny had put some distance between himself and the base, the entire structure cackled with lightning, with all windows shattering and the walls bursting to flame. There was a rumble, then the top of the building exploded open. One hand, followed by another, pulled up the monstrosity of alien tech merged into Technus' fighting machine. It looked to be a combination of all the various robots that Technus had created to attack Amity Park in the past.

With cackling laughter, the gargantuan robot sent out waves of energy. Where ever the wave made contact, any and all pieces of tech fell into the ghost's control. The recently deactivated robots now swarmed the streets, causing havoc.

"This isn't good," Danny muttered. He then landed a safe distance away, out of Technus' range of sight, and set Mandie down.

"Everyone alright?" Danny asked through his headset, watching Technus stomp out of the ruined base and head towards the sender of town.

"We're good over here," Timmy responded, with Wanda asking in the background if Danny was okay.

"Some of our classmates are shaken up, but otherwise everyone's fine." Jazz replied. Sam then snuck off.

"Woah dudes, ease up on the tentacles," Tucker muttered, then said, "We're all in one piece. What we're looking at is a robot army and one supersized mech-monster controlled by Technus, with a ray that takes over all tech and some sort of shield that's blocking my access remotely."

"Looks like he's headed to Town Hall." Danny observed. A frustrated growl caught Danny's attention. Apparently, while Danny was scoping out the situation, Mandie had escaped her bonds and was trying to active what looked like a watch of sorts. "What's with you?"

She looked up to the halfa, "This Technus is blocking my connection to my ship; I can't teleport or summon my ship."

"Probably because Technus has some sort of jammer," Danny said to himself. "We need to take him down."

"We?" Mandie arched an eyebrow, causing Danny to look at her.

"You want to get back home? If we want a chance at making it out, we need to combine forces."

"I'm not joining your side."

"I'm not asking you to join; Just fight with me." Danny held out a hand, a look of determination set on his face.

Mandie regarded the hand in front of her, then accepted the handshake with a smirk. "Alright Phantom, you have yourself a truce."

Danny smiled, then activated the Fenton Phones. "Okay guys; looks like if we have any chance of stopping Technus, we need to shut down the shields and get the tech support in close so they can get Technus offline."

"Since this is Technus, our ghost gear should be usable," Tucker commented. He then turned to the aliens and fairy that was with him. "You guys got weapons?"

"Why yes we do Tucker, genius friend of Phantom."

Pressing buttons on their vests, they were all soon encompassed by battle mechs. Tucker whistled, looking very impressed by the mechs.

"Got one for me?" A small device was tossed to Tucker. Activating it, the Technogeek soon had his own battlesuit. "Sweet! Hey Zeke, do you think that you could ghost proof these so they don't get controlled?"

Zeke cracked his fingers, then wiggled then as magic danced from his fingertips. "Pttt! That'll be easy." The gear and mechs all glowed briefly. "Done! Ladies, you're now ready for the dance."

….

"Let's lock and load!" Timmy exclaimed, he and Wanda standing at the ready.

Danny glanced at Mandie. She activated a bracelet of hers, which created battle armor. Pulling out blasters, she gave a vicious smirk.😈

"Okay everyone, Mandie and I will lure Technus away from town. I'm thinking North in that clearing by the welcome sign." Danny instructed over the headset. "There we'll take down Techus. Now let's move!"

Each of the groups sprang to action, ready to fight: Timmy running with Wanda flying close behind, Tucker and the aliens charging foward in the mechs with Zeke providing air support, and Danny Phantom springing to the air, followed by Mandie.

~~~Line Break and a Fun Surprise!~~~
"Man, these guys keep coming!" Timmy remarked as he and Wanda blasted robots on their trek. Both boy and Fairy were working their way through side streets and alleyways.
"Are you sure a wish can't get rid of the robots?" Timmy asked his fairy godmother.
"While it was shut down, the Boudacian tech is still interfering with my magic. And the ghostly energy isn't helping things".
They then found themselves coming up at an empty house. Definitely abandoned, but not decrepit like those one would see in the movies. It was old, but in decent shape. Taking this as a chance for a break, Timmy ducked inside. "C'mon, we can hide out in here!" Wanda followed. Neither noticed some robots had noticed them enter the house, or that something was watching them in the shadows.
Timmy and Wanda found themselves in a spacious living room. It was furnished to the bare minimum, the furniture looking worn and more 'abandoned and decrepit' than the house itself. Wanda looked around. "Are you sure it's a good idea to come in here? I'm getting bad vibes."
"It's fine," Timmy waved a hand, choosing to lean against a wall. "And I not staying. Just resting for a moment."
Just then, a fist smashed through the wall, not far from Timmy. He jumped back as a robot broke through the wall, followed by several others.
"Woah!" Timmy slid behind a couch, using it as cover as he blasted the first robot down. Wanda had flown up to a corner and sent blasts of magic from her wand.
The robots came in trying to nab the small boy as he wove about the furniture and blasted the robots. Soon the room was cleared.
"There, all taken care of," Timmy said, making a motion with his hands to clear the imaginary dirt from his hands. Before Wanda could remark, she was then ensnared in a net.
"Wanda!" Timmy was just about to blast the robot that had captured his fairy, he was then nabbed from behind. "Hey, let go!" He squirmed against the droid's grasp, but to no avail.
"They must have entered from the back!" Wanda cried, helpless thanks to the net she found herself in.
The droids marched to the entrance of the house, taking their prisoners to who knows where. They didn't go very far when the familiar green of an ectoblast hit the head of Timmy's captor, setting the small boy free. A black and white blur then knocked the other robot away, dropping the net with Wanda inside. Not wasting any time, Timmy scrambled to free the fairy.
"Thanks for the save! How did-" Timmy trailed off, expecting to see Danny standing by, but found someone else.
Floating above the two wrecked droids was a girl about Timmy's age. She had long, snowy white hair pulled into a ponytail. Her bangs fell over her neon green eyes. She wore black pants with white boots. Her top was half white/ half black with alternated gloves; one black, the other white. What really stuck out to Timmy and Wanda was Danny's insignia on her suit and the familiarity of her face.
"Are you two okay?" The girl asked, hovering a bit closer. She then seemed to realize what Wanda was, because she then had a surprised and awed look on her face. "Woah, are you a fairy?!"
"Who are you?" Timmy asked, feeling kind of dazed.
"Oh, I'm Dani Phantom. Dani, with an 'i'. I was on my way to visit a relative of mine when an invasion of robots started attacking. I saw you being followed by the clunkers." She, Dani, explained. "Can you tell me what's going on?"
"This ghost called Technus got a hold of alien robots." Timmy explained. "We're on our way there to help Danny Phantom, who's luring the robot away from town."
The ghost girl brightened. "That's whom I'm looking for: Danny. He's my… cousin."
"You're his cousin?" Timmy questioned, looking to Wanda, who wore a baffled look. "I didn't know he had a cousin."
Before anyone could say anything else, more robots appeared.
Dani then turned to Timmy with a grin. "Do you want to ask questions, or do you want to kick some butt?"
~~~Line Break~~~

Danny wove through the air as he evaded shots from the robots and returned the favor with his ectoblasts. Following his lead was Mandie, decked out in her armor and armed with a plasma sword. Instead on flying and shooting from the distance like Danny, Mandie preferred to engage the droids in melee combat, slicing through the machines with fluid motions.

"HYAH!" Mandie yelled, grabbing one robot and using it to brutally club other robots down.

"Whomever Mandie does marry better not forget their anniversary," Danny commented to himself, noting her savage attacks. He then froze several in place before dodging another blaster blast. Just as he rose above the rooftops, a bright light caught his eyes. When he turned to look, his eyes widen as what appeared to be the beam of the 'Death Star' coming at him. He had barely dodged the blast.

"Hey Master of long winded speeches, you call that an attack?"

"Banter all you want Ghost Child; for you will fail against me and my glorious army of mechanical warriors!" Was Technus' response, as he attempted to swat Phantom out of the sky.

"We'll see about that you out-of-date software!"

"We'll see how out-of-date this tech is when I finally defeat you!"

"You'll have to catch me first~!" Phantom called out in a sing-song tone, effectively dodging the mega-mech's attacks. He was doing pretty well with keeping the mega-mech from major damage. There was the problem with his partner, who had a tendency to use whatever's lying around and throw it as her assailants; she missed once or twice. Fortunately, people had cleared the area.

"Okay guys, get ready…" Danny muttered into the Fenton Phones as he and Mandie, followed by Technus, had finally arrived at the designated spot of ambush. It was a large clearing by the main road leading to town. At the edges first started with occasional trees that led to the thicker of forest.

"Now!"

The aliens, Tucker and Zeke popped out from their hiding places, unleashing heavy fire. Aiming a cannon of sorts, Tucker shot at the mega-mech. The shield fritzed for a moment, before completely fizzing out.

"Shield's down. Let's knock him down!"

Technus, having ripped out a tree, tried to bat Danny and Mandie out of the air as swarms of the smaller robots descended on the heroes. Tucker howled in excitement as he lobbed explosives as the robots.

"Denied!" Zeke called out, using his magic to open a portal for one robot to stumble through, and come out another one, bashing the droid in front of it. "Whoops!" Another portal briefly popped up, only to have the alien bots be crushed by wreckage of their compatriots being dropped on top of them. He was about to zapped a cluster when an armored figure came charging forward, punching and shooting. Zeke then recognized the face behind the visor of the armor.

"Couldn't stay away from the action?" Zeke teased, then squinted at their forehead. "It's seriously called the Fenton Peeler?"

Sam shrugged, before punching another droid. "Danny's parents like to name the stuff weird names. Now if you'll excuse me, there's some tin heads with my name on them."

"I'm right behind you!" The teenaged fairy followed after the goth.

"Aw yeah! Get ready to, like, get wrecked!" Mark activated a wicked-looking gun. It let out a low hum before firing a laser, melting the metal soldiers and scorching the earth.

One robot was bashed away by Erik, crashing into one of the magic-blasted robot. As luck would have it, it (the one blasted with magic) changed into a trebuchet and launched the other droid at Technus. The attack had enough force to cause the mega-mech to stumble backwards. Taking advantage of the moment, Danny froze the ground at the towering robot's feet.

"TIMBER!" Danny yelled out.

The mega-mech came crashing down, the boom of the fall reverberating through the air. Danny got to work freezing the legs in place as Mandie moved to hack at the large cannon as Technus tried to swat at them.

"You think you've got the upper hand, but this is only- how you kids would say 'the previews to the feature presentation'!" There was a groan of metal, then the mega-mech split in the middle. Both halves then reconfigured themselves into two smaller robots. Mandie now faced the top half, which was now built similarly to a gorilla on steroids. It tried to strike the violet-haired alien with a mace (that replaced its right hand).

Danny now faced the mech, It being a scaled up version of the human-sized robots with some major differences; long and lanky with broad, pointy shoulders, but a trail of blades now ran down the back. The pointy head was equipped with the screen face Technus frequently uses. The fingers on the metal hands curved as wicked scythes. Black with accenting ectoplasm green and silvery white colored the mech, the body had a faint green glow. Instead of the clear dome that sparked with energy, there floated what looked like a brain. Danny decided not to dwell too much on that.

"Yes Ghost child, you should be afraid," Technus gloated, completely misreading Phantom's disgusted expression (okay, maybe he's dwelling on it a bit). "For today shall be your defeat by me: TECHNUS! MASTER OF TECHNOLOGY AND ALL THINGS BEEPING!"

"Why do all villains love to monologue?" Danny questioned.

The Mech then lunged, swiping at the halfa with the bladed hands in rapid procession, while Phantom dodged with equal speed. It was then that Technus fired a net, catching Danny by surprise (both figurative and literally).

"Dang it!"

Technus grinned. "Yes, struggle all you want for-" He was then interrupted by a blast to the face.

With the tension on the net lessened, Danny blasted his way out. He then looked to see Dani flying in with Timmy, who had shot Technus with a blaster. Wanda followed a little ways behind, as the ghostling was faster.

"Eat lasers computer dork!" Called out the two kiddos, flying around the head.

"Computer dork?! Do you not know who I AM?! I AM TECHNUS: MASTER OF ALL TECHNOLOGICAL MARVELS! And I will NOT be stopped by a bunch of… whippersnappers such as yourselves!"

"RAAAAAH!" Mandie let out a fierce cry as she flung the robot she was fighting. The former top half of the mega-mech came flying at Technus, knocking him to the ground. Technus was about to pull himself up, when a dark shadow fell upon the two halves of the mega-mech and slowly increased in size. A large flaming object then crashed down, crushing the robots and throwing up dust. From the dust cloud emerged Cosmo.

"Cosmo!" Wanda cried out happily, embracing her husband. "Where were you?!"

"I was left of the fathership, knock out, when everyone else was captured. I was going to use the ship's guns to help, but…" Cosmo trailed off.

Wanda smirked, "you pressed the wrong button." Her smile widened a bit at seeing Cosmo's sheepish expression.

"Well, it did what it was supposed to do!" Cosmo defended himself. There was then the groan of metal, catching everyone's attention. A fist then emerged, followed by the newly reassembled, but battered, mega-mech.

"Seriously?! What's it going to take to stop this guy?!" Timmy called out.

"Danny," Tucker called out, getting Danny's attention. "Try using your new power to short him out!"

"Wait, he's got a new power?!" Sam asked, looking incredulous.

Danny nodded, then turned to the mechanical menace. "All right, looks like this server's gonna crash," Phantom remark, suddenly having waves of electrical energy come off him, "PERMANENTLY!"

Danny then propelled himself forward, hands ablaze with power. He then fired a blast of lightning at the Mega-mech. Danny then disappeared, seeming to be pulled by the electric attack as it hit the intended target. Technus began to spasm as the electricity flared brighter and stronger.

"NOOOOOOOO!" A distraught Technus wailed out, then promptly exploded. And once again, the robot army became inert, as well as the rest of the tech that was under Technus' control. Technus himself soon rematerialized from the smoking remains, with Danny phasing out right after.

"You may have beaten my glorious robot army, but I will triumph. For I am-"

"Logging off!" Danny cut off the technophile ghost's rant, sucking him into the thermos. "I should start charging him for all those minutes he uses."

"Well that was exciting," Mandie remark, coming up to where Danny had landed.

"So you'll be heading off then?" Danny asked.

Mandie hummed a confirmation, then looked the teen in the eyes. "You are certainly something."

"Enough to convince you to drop the 'conquering the universe' thing?"

"No. But I can respect a strong warrior. So I'll be leaving you in peace… for now." Mandie smirked.

Danny rolled his eyes. "Of course."

"I'll be taking my leave." She turned to leave, but then paused a moment before facing Danny again, confusing the halfa. Then to his shock, Mandie grabbed his collar and pulled him into a kiss. She pulled back and grinned mischievously at the blushing teen. "'Til we next meet on the field of battle." And with that, she teleported away.

"Looks like someone has a new lady friend." Zeke commented, throwing his arm around Danny's shoulders and waggling his eyebrows. Danny, in response, only gave a deadpanned expression and shoved the fairy off.

"She could have given me a goodbye kiss," Tucker muttered, only to shrink back from the glare Sam gave him.

"Well I honestly think Danny could do better," Dani huffed, setting Timmy down.

"Dani!" Danny exclaimed, flying up to the ghostling and scooping her up in a hug.

"Hey, put me down!" She cried out, bursting into giggles as Danny tickled her.

"Nope! I haven't seen you for a long time, so I'm not letting you go~" Danny teased, keeping his hold on the little girl.

"Why am I seeing a mini girl-version of you?" Zeke questioned, watching the two half-ghosts greet each other.

"This is Dani, with an 'i'. She's family," Danny said. "I'll explain later. We need to get back." He then looked at the ghost girl. "Do you mind waiting for us back in my room? You can help yourself to the snacks in my desk drawer."

Dani beamed. "Sounds good!" With that, she flew off.

"Cosmo, Wanda: I wish all this was cleaned up." With a flick of the wands, everything was returned to normal.

~~~Line Break~~~
Danny, Sam, Tucker, Timmy and Mark (human disguise) found where the schools had been gathering the students, merging seamlessly into the crowd unnoticed. At least, they would have if it weren't for a certain teacher who had been waiting for their return. That is how Danny found himself in a net… again.
"Aha! Now I have you!"
"Seriously?!" The teen groaned in exasperation.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Sam yelled at Crocker.
"Proving the existence of fairies," he remarked, as if it was obvious.
"Danny, there you- WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY SON!?" Yelled a furious Maddie Fenton as she, her husband and Jazz came rushing to the group, with the rest of the school body now aware of team Phantom's appearance.
"He's a fairy in disguise! Can't you people see?!"
"Haha, he called you a fairy Fentwirp!" Dash chuckled.
"He's not a fairy, he's an alien! Those robots were here to capture him!" Called out a student from the crowd.
"How dare you! Our son's completely human!" Jack Fenton bellowed.
"This boy's a fairy!"
"An alien convict!"
"No, prince. Did you not hear what those robots said?"
"He's none of those you idiots! He's the ghost hero Danny Phantom!"
"Shut up Wes!"
"You can't fool me-" Crocker began, only to halt in his accusations at the glares of Mrs. Fenton and Sam.
Danny sighed in exasperation, then turned to Mr. Lancer. "Would it be okay if I headed home now?"
Vlad's lab, where he's watching our heroes. Seriously dude, quit being a stalker!
"So that was an alien invasion?" Skulker questioned, floating a few feet from where Vlad sat. "I should have gone and collected some specimens for my collection."
Vlad glared at his monitor. "That Buffon Technus really messed things up today." He watched as the kids were then picked up by their parents to be taken home. On the screen, Cosmo and Wanda (in their human disguises), joined the Fentons and Daniel's little group of friends.
Skulker then blinked in recognition at the fairy couple. "Those are the small boy's fairies!"
"What?" He swiveled in his chair to look at the hunter. "Are you certain?"
"It's true! They're simply in disguise."
Vlad simply looked back at the monitor, to watch the schools sends the children off. Neither Vlad on his spy cams, nor Danny with his ghost sense (because of the distance), noticed a pink mist settle on a limousine, hitching a ride to Dimmsdale.
…~~~oOo~~~…
Leo Pridelands: Looks like Vlad's now on to the gang. Our heroes have stopped an alien invasion and now we have Dani added to the mix! And also Crystal thought it would be funny to add the Wes moment.
Tiamat Dragoness: Can you guys explain to me who the heck is Wes? Well anywho, I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter.
Foxa Bandicoot: Did you guys hear that unearthly shrieking?
Tiamat Dragoness: That was Crystal' fan girl shriek.
Timothy Jedi/Ninja Lord: I believe she read something that made her happy, which means she's now going to try to have us all read it.
Crystal Da Pony: Guys! You need to read this awesome FIC!
