"Wake up!"

Haruka groaned and covered her face with the blanket. It was too early for this, too early for noises, too early to think. The bed dipped next to her and before she could react, Michiru straddled her waist with her thighs.

"Wake up! Please. You promised we would go today."

Haruka opened one eye to see Michiru on top of her, wearing an oversized t-shirt, the marks of their lovemaking from last night still evident on the skin of her neck and shoulder. "Aren't you tired?"

Michiru shook her head.

"Ah… I guess I didn't do my job correctly."

"Actually, I was too excited to fall asleep, also, I wouldn't call it a job…" Michiru sighed and leaned on top of Haruka until she was lying on top of her, cheek to cheek. "Please, Haruka. Wake up, I will even treat you for breakfast."

"But why do we have to go so early? Can't we enjoy our morning together?" Haruka said, her arms circling her lover's. "We can stay like this for a couple of hours…"

"Couple of hours?" Michiru frowned, and Haruka could feel it on her face.

With a sigh, the blonde gave up on trying to catch some extra minutes of sleep. "Alright. I'm gonna wake up." Saying that she rolled to the empty side of the bed, dropped Michiru, then turned back to her side of the bed. As she stood up, the bedsheet fell from her, revealing her naked body to Michiru's hungry eyes. The violinist sighed with content and stared as Haruka made her way to the bathroom.

Today they had a special date. Michiru had been wanting to head to the Tulips Gardens for quite some time now, and although Haruka never said no to the idea, she wasn't a hundred percent into it but when she got out of her shower, changed into her cute boyish clothes something inside of Michiru stirred. Maybe she was into it.

The garden was thirty minutes away. Michiru had heard about it during one of her art classes. One of her students had talked about how she had gone to take pictures and after Michiru saw those pictures she just had to go there.

As soon as they arrived, Michiru saw all the possible paintings she could create. The palace was a vast meadow, filled with different colored tulips. There were red, yellow, even purple. The flowing of the wind moved the flowers like waves in the ocean, smoothly over the plains of the garden. Michiru was holding her breath, until Haruka moved next to her, grabbed her, and gave it a firm squeeze.

"Beautiful, inst it?"

Michiru nodded at the question and began walking as Haruka ushered her towards the flowery fields.

This palace was a dream. As soon as Michiru got close to the flowers, she took out her phone and began to take pictures. "This place is amazing! I can't believe how big it is!"

"It is pretty big." Haruka said as she released her hold on Michiru's hand and began to roam about. "Is there any specific color you were looking for?"

"There is one I read before coming here."

Haruka shrugged. "What is it?"

"It is called the Royal Sovereign tulip."

"That sounds fancy." Haruka took out her phone and looked for a picture of the flower.

Michiru looked up from her phone and up to the blonde. Haruka was so concentrated on what she was looking that she didn't notice when she slipped her arms around her waist and pressed her chest to Haruka's broad back. "Be honest…"

Haruka pulled away from her phone and turned her neck to look at Michiru. "What is it?"

"Did you want to come here or did you do it for me?"

Haruka turned back to her phone, patted Michiru's hand and untangled herself from the embrace. "It is a nice place though."

"You are not answering the question."

Haruka frowned. "I came here to be with you. It's our free day and you wanted to come here. Those are good reasons right?"

Michiru pursed her lips and nodded slowly. " Yes I guess."

"You don't seem happy with my anwer."

"I just thought you might be as excited as me."

"I am excited."

Michiru sighed and nodded again. " You are right. I am sorry. I shouldn't expect you to react the same way as me. We are together but we are two completely different people."

Haruka arched her eyebrow and moved to press her lips to Michiru's temple. "I am happy to be here. Seeing your face as soon as we got out of the car made me incredibly happy."

The violinist closed her eyes as she relished Haruka's kiss. Absent-mindedly, she hugged her lover again and this time kissed her on her collarbone.

"I am going to go around and explore. You stay here and take some pictures, alright?"

Michiru pouted.

"I won't be long." Haruka said, kissing Michiru's pouting lips.

The violinist watched intently as Haruka moved away from her and headed out to explore the Garden some more. Michiru didn't waste a second to take pictures. SHe photographed all different types of tulips there were she took pictures of Haruka as she walked away from her surrounded by tulips. She took pictures of random bees slipping inside the flower's buds, she took another picture of Haruka looking back at her and smiling.

Michiru raised a blue eyebrow. What was she smiling about? As she opened her mouth to question her lover, the blonde took two long steps, grabbed Michiru by her wrist, and dragged her back to where she was standing. Haruka's smile could illuminate a thousand universes, the happiness in her eyes made Michiru's heart do a summersault. "What is it?"

"Wait for it!" Haruka said and hurried up with Michiru following close behind her.

This has been the happiest Haruka has ever been since she got here. Suddenly the blonde stopped and pulled Michiru towards her, covering whatever was in front of them. She grinned, kissed Michiru, and squeezed her waist. " Close your eyes."

"Oh, please."

"Please. Please! I want to see your face when you see it."

Michiru pursed her lips then pouted before obliging and closing her eyes.

Haruka made sure that she was indeed not seeing and then pushed her slightly to the front. " Open up."

The violinist opened her eyes to a small yet dense patch of gorgeous Royal Sovereign tulips. The flowers yellow and red on the petal, as if paint had been poor over them, contrasted beautifully with the blue tulip that surrounded them.

Haruka was no longer looking at the flowers. Her stare was glued to Mcihriu's amazed expression, the real reason she agreed to the date.
