"Haruka,no!"

But Haruka did not listen.

She shoved Mcihriu off her shoulders and watched as she fell into an upcoming wave. Haruka laughed loudly, moving the wet strands of blonde hair from her face as she saw Michiru resurface. Her aqua-blue hair stuck to her face as she blew salty water from her lips. "Haruka!"

The blonde chuckled and helped her lover move her hair back. "Oh come on. If you could do that to me you would do it too."

Michiru opened one blue eye, frowned at Haruka, and slapped her hand against the surface of the water splashing her.

"Me next!" Hotaru yelled, waving her arms around.

Haruka huffed. "You are not five anymore, Hotaru. I might crack my back picking you up."

"Michiru-mama is heavier and you still did."

A loud gasp was heard. "How dare you!"

Haruka 'oh'd' silently and turned to look at Michiru. "I didn't say anything," she exclaimed, raising her hands up apologetically.

Michiru turned her face away from Haruka and their adoptive teenage daughter. She tried to act as if she was mad, but the curve at her lip said otherwise. "I am just about to get out, anyways. We have been here all day long. The sun is about to go down."

"Ah, come on, Michiru. We can stay a while longer. We said this was our beach family day. Not a beach family morning and some afternoon." Haruka pleaded, swimming over to her wife and bumping her head with Mcihriu's bottom. The violinist was wearing a two-piece blue bathing suit while Haruka was wearing a black bikini top with swimming trunks. "Can we stay a bit longer? Please?"

Michiru scoffed and splashed some water on Haruka's face. "You children can stay for a while longer. I need a drink."

Hotaru hooted while Haruka stood up and gave Michiru a peck on the lips before patting her bottom and pushing her to the shore. "Grab me a beer?"

Michiru winked at her blonde lover and nodded.

Haruka smoked and winked back before going back to her daughter.

"You guys act like you are in your first week of dating."

"And that's bad because?"

Hotaru did as she was about to puke. "You are too much with each other."

"Ah! You see that's where you are wrong. You will never be enough for the right one." Haruka patted her shoulder and flicked her wrist at Hotaru. "Get up here."

Hotaru didn't wait to be told that twice. She wrapped her arms around Haruka's shoulder then waited for her mother to squat down. Once she did, she sat on her shoulders and waited for Haruka to sit up straight. "Oh wow. You are pretty strong for a middle-aged woman."

Haruka scoffed and dropped Hotaru without a warning. " How dare you. I am not middle-age."

Hotaru coughed a couple of times after resurfacing, she kept her eyes closed as she reached for Haruka but instead of finding her, the blonde dunked her head back into the water.

"Are you going to kill her?"

Haruka raised her eyes just in time to see Michiru holding a can of beer in one hand and a Yeti wine tumbler in the other. "Your daughter called me middle-age." Haruka argued as she took the proffered can and opened it.

"She said I was fat." Michiru said as she watched her daughter struggling with Haruka, who was still holding her under water. "You should leave her there for a couple of minutes."

Haruka grinned. "Parents of the year?"

"Parents of the millenia if you ask me," Michiru reaffirmed before slapping Haruka's arm and letting Hotaru come back up. "Hello there."

After coughing up a storm, Hotaru moved her short black-purplish hair away from her face before staring at Haruka wide I. "You almost killed me."

"You get the drama from Michiru, not from me." Haruka scoffed before wrapping one arm around Hotaru's shoulder and pulling her in for a hug. The teenager couldn't help but chuckle before wrapping one arm around Haruka's waist. As she did that, she watched Michiru move towards them and imitate her stance hugging Hotaru at the waist.

After taking a long ip from her wine, Michiru turned away from the shore and stared out into the now hiding sun. The surface of the beach came alive with the reflections of the orange sun as it hid away into the horizon. Hotaru sighed and turned to look at both of her mothers. Her heart tightened, with the knowledge that they were there with her, spending time together and playing with her at the beach as if she was still a toddler.

Hotaru pouted and wrapped her free arm around the violinist and tightened her grip on Haruka.

As the sound of the waves soothed Hotaru's heart, she felt a kiss to her temple from Michiru and seconds later a kiss on the top of her head from Haruka.
