Haruka frowned almost in disgust as she watched Mamoru and Usagi rub their noses together. She turned her eyes to Michiru, who was taking a sip from her coffee when she locked her eyes with her girlfriend. Truth be told, the violinist looked like she was about to spit her drink all over Haruka's face, instead she snorted and turned away from her, coughing loudly.
"Michiru-san? Are you alright?" Usagi asked, turning away from Mamoru to check on her friend.
Michiru waved her hand, signaling that she was fine. "I'm fine. Coffee just went down the wrong pipe."
Haruka arched a blonde eyebrow. She bit her lower lip and went back to looking at her friend and his new girlfriend. "So, you guys are official."
"We sure are. We wanted you guys to be the first ones to know." Mamoru said, glued to Usagi. It was repulsive in Haruka's eyes but she was indeed happy for her friends.
"I mean, you guys were the ones that introduced me to Mamo-chan.."
Mcihriu's eyebrow almost reached her forehead. "Mamo-chan?"
"Pet names already?" Haruka pursed her lips and took a swig of her frappuccino.
"Of course! Don't you and Mcihiru have pet names for each other?"
Michiru turned to her lover, a smirk painted on her beautiful lips and the sudden urge to bully Haruka sparked in those cobalt blue eyes. Haruka moved away. She knew better than to throw gas to that spark.
"Not really," Haruka lied, her eyes now focused on Mamoru and Usagi. She knew that the moment she turned to face Michiru, she was going to find her glaring at her. Now Haruka loved that Michriu had a temper, but she would rather see that temper in the bedroom rather than at Sofia's Cafe.
"So…" Michiru began, breaking the awkward silence. "What are you guys planning on doing?"
"Usako and I are going to head out to the park today. You guys are welcome to join."
Haruka's upper lip twitched. Usako… "We wouldn't want to intrude. You guys just got together. Enjoy your company. You don't need us to chaperone," Haruka said, taking another sip as well as feeling Michiru's hands touch her thigh. The caress was soft at first but it suddenly turned violent when the violinist squeezed the inside of her muscular thigh tightly. Haruka almost choked, almost.
"Oh you guys are not intruding at all! Right, Mamo-chan!" Usagi turned to her boyfriend, love and infatuation seemed to beam out of her.
"Not at all!" He added but Michiru was already opening her mouth to talk.
An awkward laugh escaped her lips before she bit down and looked at Haruka ."We actually have a couple of things to do back at home."
Haruka frowned. It was Sunday, all the cleaning was done yesterday. She tilted her head to Michiru only to have her thigh squeezed harder. "Right, we have to fix our bed— AH! Car! Michiru's car is leaking and I need to check it out."
Usagi pouted at that. "Oh. Well we should totally set a double date. How about Ice-skating?"
Haruka made a face. "I mean if you want."
"Great!" Usagi giggled and took out her phone. "I am going to create a group chat so we can all agree on the date. How is that?"
"That sounds wonderful, Usako."
Michiru's smile was wide, and if Haruka didn't know any better she would say that it was a hundred percent real.
Usagi and Mamoru stood from the stools said their goodbyes and left with the promise of a double date on an ice-skating rink.
As soon as they left the cafe, Michiru turned to Haruka with a serious expression. The blonde visibly swallowed hard nervously. "What is it?"
"We have pet names."
"I know. But I didn't want them to know, Michi." Haruka grinned before accepting a terse kiss from her lover.
"I understand, Ruka."
