"This is stupid."

"It is not stupid! Stop saying it is, Haruka."

"I don't believe in any of this."

"Well I.. I don't either but I think it would be cute to see what she says." Michiru pouted and squeezed Haruka's hand tightly before looking back at the large tent before them.

The tent looked tacky, with bright light and a horribly drawn woman dressed in many scarfs and medals like necklaces and bracelets and a crystal ball floating.

When Haruka agreed to go on this amusement park date with Michiru, she did it because Michiru had said she wanted to come many times during class. She had said that her parents told her that she could go but with another friend. And what better friend than her girlfriend, star athlete Haruka Tenoh? The blonde sighed and rubbed her temples.

The date was going fine until she got in one of those fast rides, and her stomach became so upset that as soon as she jumped out of her seat, he ran to the nearest trashcan and emptied the nachos she had just eaten.

Poor Michiru could do nothing but rub her back as she waited for her to finish. After that embarrassment, Haruka suggested going to another fast machine, maybe because she wanted to prove that she was strong and not a wuss. Still, Michiru decided it would be better to take it easy for a while as Haruka's stomach felt better…

And now they were standing in front of this horrible tent.

"I want to know my future." Michiru said and squeezed her hand again.

"What for? I think knowing your future causes anxiety. What if the fortune teller says that you will die in four days?"

"Haruka!"

"It is a possibility. Nobody knows when they are going to die."

"Alright, yes I get it but do you have to be so dark about it?"

Haruka shrugged and began to walk away, heading to the entry line of a roller coaster. Michiru pulled her back with an annoyed grunt.

"Come on!"

"Michiru!"

"Why are you so scared?"

"Because!"

"Because?"

Haruka frowned and pursed her lips. She turned her neck back to the tent and stared at the horrible lights, the ugly painting… It was all for show. What could go wrong? "Fine." The blonde shifted back to the tent and squeezed Mcihiru's hands. "Let's go."

Michiru grinned, stood on her toes, and gave Haruka a quick kiss. "This is why I picked you over Seiya."

Haruka's eyes went wide. "God! Now I am so glad that I punched him right in front of you!"

Michiru moved the tent and walked in, followed closely by Haruka. The blonde didn't look happy at all, but Michiru was delighted that she at least wanted to try it.

Inside the tent was a small circular table with two seats facing each other. A crystal ball took most of the space at the center of the table.

"Hello?" Haruka called out when there was no one to greet them, especially not an ugly woman like the one painted outside the tent.

"In a minute!"

Michiru turned to her girlfriend and shrugged her shoulders. Within seconds, a beautiful tanned young woman with dark and long emerald-colored hair walked out, holding what appeared to be cigarettes.

Haruka frowned. That didn't smell like a cigarette at all…

"Hi?" Michiru said, waving her hand at the strange woman. By the way, she was dressed, she appeared to be the fortune-teller.

The fortune-teller jumped at the sight of the teenage couple. She turned away, put out her blunt by pressing it to one of her medallion bracelets, and then hid the next between her breasts. She gave Haruka and Michiru an awkward smile before posing. "Hello there! I am Madam Setsuna and I will be looking into your future for today!" The sentence sounded so rehearsed it made both teenagers groan.

"I am sorry, Haruka. You were right. We should go…" Michiru said, turning to exit the tent.

"Whoa! Whoa! Come on! I am new at this. I got this part time job to help pay college." Madam Setsuna said, moving a strand of emerald hair away from her face. "Come on, kids. Let me just tell you your future and you will be on your merry way. Who's first?"

Haruka pulled Michiru back and gave her a pensive look. She tilted her head towards Madame Setsuna and then shrugged. "We should stay. At least it is for a good cause. Goodness knows we might be doing that soon."

Madame Setsuna waved her arm theatrically and sat down on her chair. "So. You are not college students."

Michiru glared at Haruka before moving to the empty chair in front of Madame Setsuna. "We gave you a freebie with that one. You can't say we will graduate highschool."

Madame Setsuna's upper lip twitched. "Fair game." Her wine-colored eyes turned from Michiru to Haruka. "Do you want me to look into both of your futures or one at a time?"

Haruka shrugged and placed her hand on top of Mcihriu's shoulders. "Do it both at the time."

Madame Setsuna let out an exasperated sigh before looking down at the crystal ball. She closed her eyes and exhaled loudly. "Alrighty." She moved her hands and began to hover them over the crystal ball.

Haruka rolled her eyes back and squeezed Michiru's shoulders, letting her know she wasn't happy.

"You guys just started dating a while ago."

Michiru raised her eyebrow at Madame Setsuna and moved on her chair to get comfortable.

"You are currently filling college applications."

"I thought we said not to use that one."

Setsuna opened one eye and glared at Haruka. "I suggest you stay quiet. It throws my concentration off."

Haruka chuckled and shrugged. "Forgiveness, Madame Setsuna.

Madame Setsuna closed her eye again and continued covering her hands over the ball. "I see a separation…"

Michiru got tense.

"A long separation."

Haruka scoffed. "Sure…"

"Hey kid. I tell you what I see. If you like it or not, that is not my problem." Mada Setsuna snapped. "You will be separated for almost five years. You will see each other in the course of those years but it won't be enough. Your relationship will go through a hard trial but you will end up marrying each other and having a kid."

Haruka's eyebrows almost touched her hairline "A kid?"

Michiru was grinning.

"Yep. You are going to adopt a little girl and she will be a pain in the butt by how smart she will be. Also," Madame Setsuna opened one eye and pointed at Michiru, "You will become a famous violinist." She then told Haruka. "You will become a record-breaking car racer. You will both win a lot of money."

Madame Setsuna then opened both eyes and turned to look at a very pale Haruka and a very happy Michiru. She then stuck her hand inside her blouse and pulled out her unfinished blunt. "Well?"

Haruka looked at Michiru, who was looking at Madame Setsuna with hopeful eyes.

"What would be our child's name?"

Madame Setsuna sighed as she lit up her blunt and took a long drag out of it. She held her breath for a couple of seconds before blowing the smoke out of her lungs. She closed her eyes and touched in between her brows before shrugging. "Hotaru?"

"Hotaru…" Michiru whispered the name reverentially. "A baby girl named Hotaru!"

"Michiru, relax! We are only sixteen! Besides! Didn't you hear what she said about the separation?" Haruka asked, fear painted in her features.

Michiru turned to her, grabbed her face, and gave her a peck. "I also heard that we will end up marrying each other. Focus on the good things."

Madame Setsuna nodded at that and stood from her chair. "That's cute, kid. Now I am gonna go and take my lunch break," saying that she took off the metal necklace and bracelets, placed them on the floor, and left.

Haruka pulled Michiru out of the tent and let out the breath she had been holding for a while. She wanted to be as excited as Michiru was about their future, but for some reason, the idea of the separation made her tear up.

"Haruka. Don't. We are going to be together. No matter what. We are going to be mothers!"

Haruka nodded at her girlfriend's words. She took a moment to internalize it, and… well, maybe suffering for a couple of years would be worth it if it meant spending the rest of her life with Michiru.
