Several hours later, Neville sat in a chair looking at Ren who was laying on a bed, asleep with his head in Luna's lap as she gently ran her hand through his hair.

After seeing Luna, Ren took them back to the dorm room he had shared with Death and began to talk with Luna and then showed her his memories of what his entire life had been like. Not just his life as Noctis but also his life as Revan, Ignotis, Harry, and Edward as well.

Neville and Luna both tensed as a new presence arrived in the room sitting across from Neville.

Before Neville could say anything Ren said "I take it these are the surprises you mentioned, Death."

Death looked at Ren as Luna continued to rub her hand through his hair said "Yes and no."

Ren frowned as he sat up and turned to Death and asked "What do you mean Death."

Death leaned back in his chair and looked around and said "Despite how powerful you are and how much you have experienced you still have so much to learn. You friend Neville here hit on it recently when he told you he felt he was there with you as Edward. Souls, as you know are immortal and genderless...but there is another thing about souls, something I kept hidden from you in order to get my revenge on you for trapping me in that prison."

Ren narrowed his eyes and asked "What did you keep from me."

Death said "Think about the bond of friendship you had with your companions. Through the trials of life you faced together...There are many different types of bonds, bonds of friendship, bonds of family, bonds of companionship, bonds of love, just to name a few. When those bonds become strong enough they will pull each other together where even death, time, and the cycle of reincarnation are unable to keep them apart. They will pull each other and seek each other out. I did not bring Luna and Neville soul here. I only awakened thier memories and then sealed them with weak seals that you would be able to break."

Ren pursed his lips together and asked "Why...why did you do that...really. No games, why did you do it."

Death looked at Ren for several moments and said "I could give you several reasons that while true are also bull shit...I had planned to tell you that your not the same man who once defeated me. That you have become a broken shell of who you once were...but the truth is I'm tired. I'm tired of having the memories I have. I'm tired of being me. When we were forced to go to school together, you and I become some what friends...and I realized how alone I really am."

Death closed his eyes a moment and said "This dorm room is set in it's own pocket dimension that only you and I can access. I plan to transfer my power to the power crystal that powers this room. ALL my power...Once the last of my power has been transferred I'll die and because I have no power to keep my memories, I'll return to the cycle of reincarnation and won't remember any of my previous lives."

Death looked at Ren and said "As you know, once I do that, you will be the only person who could enter this room without assistance...you will have access to all that power, even though you are stronger then me already...but before I do that I wanted to give you the gift of returning your companions to you...and these are not the only 2 companions you have...and they have been with you longer then you think they have. Set up the ritual room to do the ritual you told Neville about. I'm going to retrieve two others who you have a really strong bonds with. When I return you all perform that ritual."

Ren looked at Death for several moments and said "Who are the other two."

Death said "Ignis and Prompto."

Ren pursed his lips a moment before he nods and Death disappeared.

Ren looked at Luna and Neville and he said "I was already going to do the ritual with Neville. Do you wish to perform it as well Luna."

Luna said "Yes my love."

Ren nods and stood up and said "Then come with me. It won't take Death long to return. We should get everything ready for when he returns.

An hour later Death returned with two others who were asleep and were floating behind Death in the air.

Neville took a deep breath and said "That's Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. Why are they asleep."

Death said "I had to stun them to get them to come. Luna, I have to ask, are you aware of what is happening back in the world you were all in after you summoned that dragon."

Luna said "I am aware of it. The gods have been speaking to me since I was reincarnated into this body. Even without my memories I still had my powers as the Oracle. They were not happy with the world and the people in it. They have been screaming for me to summon them to unleash their fury on the world even before I regained my memories...when I saw Noctis get attacked and got my memories I finally knew how to summon them and then when I got to Hogwarts and saw Gladio I became angrier and then that woman tried to delay me seeing Noctis...at that point I did not care any more so I summon one of the gods. I have no doubt he summoned the others and they have unleashed holy hell on the world."

Death looked at Luna a few moments and then shook his head and said "It's always the quite ones, the ones you think are to gentle or to kind...yeah, they unleashed thier fury on the world. I had to go back in time to just as you summoned him to grab these two. I also grab that droid. He's back in the dorm room waiting."

Ren looked at Luna who stared back at him and after several moments she said "Somebody was going to taste me fury. It was either them, or you."

Ren gulped and said "If you feel that was for the best my love, I won't argue with you. Let's get this ritual done." as he turned back to the ritual circle.

The next moment he along with everyone else in the room but Death passed out and Death smirked and said "Yes, let's return your memories."

Several hours later Ren slowly opened his eyes and he blinked and found himself laying on the ground in the ritual room.

Looking around he saw Luna, Neville, Ron, and Hermione all also laying on the ground.

Blinking several times he sat there a moment and thought "What happened...where's Death."

Looking around the room he saw a note and he quickly got to his feet and went over to where the note was stuck to the wall and read it.

As I am sure you are aware, I cast a spell on all of you to knock you out and performed the ritual. For you Ren, you will only get a few memories that you have repressed. You are the reincarnation of Ignotus, Revan, Noctis, Edward, and your current incarnation, Harry James Potter

For Neville, you have gotten the memory of Tank Dempsey, Gladiolus Amicitia, Carth Onasi, and Antioch Peverell.

Ren's eyes widen as he read this before he continued

You Luna, got your memories of LunaFreya, Bastila Shan, and then Hestia Peverell, the wife of Ignotus Peverell

Ren quickly turned his head to look at Luna and stood there for several minutes as he came to terms with what he just read.

Turning back to the note he continued to read.

Hermione Granger, you are the reincarnation of Takeo Masaki, Ignis Scientia, Mission Vao, and Catherine Peverell, the wife of Cadmus Peverell

Ren looked at Hermione and thought a moment and said "I could definitely see that." before shaking his head and continued to read

Ron Weasley, you are the reincarnation of Nikolia Belinski, Prompto Argentum, Zaalbar, and Cadmus Peverell.

Ren looked at Ron and thought "I didn't interact with him but I bet he's easy to anger, speaks without thinking, and is easy to be distracted. All his other incarnations were that way."

Ren started to laugh as he thought that and the sound of his laughter awoke the others who began to look around in confusion and Hermione said "What's going on, where are we Professor Ren."

Ren said "As all of you who were on the train heard, there is a cycle of reincarnation. There is a way to get the memories of your previous incarnations back through a ritual. If you will all come up here and read this note, it will explain most of what is going on. Hold all questions until after you have read it."

Everyone got up and began to read before they reaction in different forms of shock and Ron said "What the hell...how the hell did this happen."

Ren began to explain about the ritual that was performed and Ron screamed "YOU TRUSTED THAT SON OF A BITCH, DEATH."

A punch to the nose from Neville put Ron on the floor and Hermione pinched the bridge of her nose and said "Remind me, why did I originally marry you all those lives ago. Every life, you seem to always put your foot in your mouth."

Ron said without thinking "Why are you the only one here who changes gender when they are reincarnated."

Hermione glared at Ron and said "Probably because you open your mouth and insert your foot so much even the gods themselves think you should be punished. Usually when I punish you for such action I kick your ass to the couch. Changing my gender might be thier way of doing the same thing."

Neville said "Yeap, you, I can definitely see the reincarnation resemblance. That's enough, both of you."

Both Ron and Hermione turned to Neville and then looked at Ren who said "I agree...I am sure we are all shocked by finding out we have been together in all these incarnations. Now we can stand here and argue or we can decide what to do now."

Luna said "I think that we should all try and focus on the here and now. While I have the experiences of my previous lives, I am Luna Lovegood. You are Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Neville Longbottom, and you are Harry James Potter...why did I miss your life as Edward."

Ren said "That name has no meaning to me. I have done everything to distance myself from the name of Harry Potter. I am Ren...as for your last question, I honestly have no idea but I am thankful you weren't there with all that happened."

Ron, Hermione, and Neville all said "Agreed." at the same time.

Hermione looked to Ren and asked "So what do we do now."

Ron asked "Why are you asking him."

Punch.

Ron held his nose and Ron glared at Neville and said "What did you do that for."

Neville said "First, while we got our memories of those lives, Ren has actually lived them without a break. He also had to go to school to learn about many things we have no idea about. Second, while I was the eldest of the three brothers, it was always Ignotus who was the smartest of us. You always resented that fact because you felt if I didn't take up the position as head of our family, it should have been you as the next oldest. That's anger is what got you killed by Death after he killed me and then killed your wife."

Hermione bit her lip a moment and said "Think about our reincarnations. After you were Cadmus, you became Zaalbar. As Zaalbar you wanted to protect me because you felt you failed as Cadmus even though you didn't know it was actually me...but even with you protecting me, it was Revan who saved us all. He saved us as Noctis, and again as Edward."

Ron opened his mouth only for Hermione to cover it with her hand and she glared at him and said "Stop and actually think before you say something. Yes, as Revan he was partially to blame and also partially to blame as Edward but there were other factors at work that were trying to make things a lot worst then they were." before she moved her hand away.

Ron looked at her a moment before he looked at Ren who stood there looking resigned and Ron took a deep breath and said "Your right...your all right...I don't know why I..."

Ren moved forward and pulled Ron into a hug and said "Stop...all is forgiven."

After a few moments Ren pulled back and Luna put her arms around Ren and glared at Ron a moment before she turned to Ren and kissed his cheek and said "So what now."

Ren looked at the others who were all looking at him and he started to open his mouth when he paused and frowned a moment and said "That son of a bitch." before he broke free of Luna's arms and began to quickly move out of the room.

The others looked confused and began to follow him.

They entered a room with a large glowing crystal and the body of Death laying on the ground. Ren had his hand stretched out toward the crystal and after several moment's turned and glared at the body of Death.

Neville asked "What's wrong Ren."

Ren took a deep breath and said "When I come here to the dorm's, I always turn off my statue effect which allows me to see my stats as well as the stats of those around me. As such I didn't notice when I woke up that Death pulled one last trick before he was gone."

Hermione asked "What kind of trick."

Ren looked at her and said "He first turned all of you into Guardians. You can tell a persons rank by noticing the icon beside a persons name as long as you have an equal or higher rank then them. When I turned on status to see all your levels I saw that each of you were now Guardians...but you don't have the power of a Guardian. Death, after turning you all into Guardians, drained all our magic into the power crystal here. We each have 500 MP."

Hermione said "So that means we are about average for all the wizard and witches back at Hogwarts."

Ren said "Yes."

Ron said "So what's the problem."

Ren said "The problem is that with every rank there comes responsibilities that you are responsible for. Some good, some bad. You all know how the gods, who are actually Elders, basically manipulated me into dealing with Ardyn. I've got orders from them to deal with other issues as well and without my power I can't deal with those issues."

Hermione asked "What issues."

Ren said "The Earth is dying. There are to many people on Earth and the Earth can not keep supporting them. If things don't change the Earth along with everyone on it will die."

Luna said "Which is why the gods were so angry and wanted me to summon them."

Ren glanced at her a moment and said "That is only one Earth. There are countless versions of the Earth out there in the multiverse and many of them face the same problem which is why I was working on a way to reduce the population without a war but without my powers I can't continue the plan I had."

Neville said "Can't you just take your power from the crystal here."

Ren said "That's part of the problem. There is a password lock on it. Unless I know what the password is then I can't get the power inside the crystal until I have more power then what is stored in the crystal. Then I can just overpower the password."

Luna said "So what does that mean."

Ren frowned a moment before he waved his hand and a portal opened and then he closed the portal and said "At least I can still do that."

Hermione asked "Is that the portals you told about on the train. What limitations do they have."

Ren said "Because I'm a Ranger, I can open a portal to almost any where and any when."

Luna asked "Almost."

Ren said "I can't change anything that would change my own personal history. I still have the ability to use the Royal Arms magic but the Royal Arms themselves were destroyed in my battle against Ardwyn. Because I know they were destroyed, I can't go back and retrieve them from my timeline. I would take them from another timeline but because the Elders were so involved in my life as Noctis, any attempt to try and take them from another timeline would most likely bring the Elders wrath onto me and you all."

Hermione said "So you can't save James and Lily Potter."

Ren said "I can't save my OWN personal parents of this incarnation but I could save other versions of them. Of course the timeline I am originally from has been destroyed by the Earth being destroyed by a comet."

Ron asked "Couldn't you have saved that world."

Ren looked at Ron and said "Could and would are two very different things. I could have but that world was much more corrupt and dark then the world all you came from."

Hermione said "So your not from the same world as us...What happened to the Harry Potter of our world."

Ren said "Dead thanks to Dumbledore's manipulation. Dumbledore abandon me on the doorstep of the Dursley in the middle of the night, November 1st, 1981 where he froze to death. Petunia Dursley was actually the adopted sister of Lily Potter nee Evans...actually that is wrong. Remember how we eventually saved Samantha by sending her to an alternate reality...well, Samantha grew up and tried to prevent what happened with 115 happening here. She eventually had a daughter who grew up to be Lily Potter nee Maxis/Evans."

At this nearly everyone's eyes widen and Ron said "Bloody hell."

Ren said "Tell me about it. That's why I can summon Fluffy and some of the other zombie dogs."

Luna said "So you couldn't save your real parents."

Ren opened his mouth and paused a moment and said "Stop, all of you...there are rules that I have to follow. Rules we all have to follow. Yes, there are ways that I could save my real parents but I doing so would run the risk of erasing myself, not Harry Potter, but my real soul, from existence. I could easily save other versions of my parents but the ones from the world my current vessel is originally from would be EXTREMELY difficult."

Ren looked at all of them in the room and said "In fact, according to the school I went to, out of every 10 million attempts only an average of 20 were successful in achieving thier goals. Most suffer extreme consequences."

Luna looked down a moment before she sighed and looked back up at Ren and said "So what do you think we should do."

Ren looked at her a moment and then at the others and said "Look, as we are right now, we will all be dead within a year. Really dead with no chance to reincarnate and keep our memories. We would reincarnate but our bonds would be broken and would most likely never see each other again."

Hermione asked "What makes you say that."

Ren looked at her and said "Taxes. There is a magical tax charged to every living creature no matter how powerful they are. It's based on your rank. We don't know who charges it but once a year, 10 percent of a persons rank is taken from them. Usually it happens while you are asleep and you wake up feeling even more tired then you were before you went to sleep so most don't even notice it besides that and they figure it's because of a bad night of sleep. Anyone who fails to pay thier fee though die. They are basically reset, as punishment, where all bonds, all memories, everything are reset like you are a new soul which was first created and no, I don't know how new souls are created."

Neville asked "How long do we have."

Ren said "For you all, since you just became guardians, you have 364 days before it hits where you all will have to pay 10 percent of 100,000 so you all have to pay 10,000 MP. You have to make sure that you have more then that when you go to bed 364 days from now or you will be gone forever."

Luna asked "What about you."

Ren said "I'm lucky that just reset on September 1st but I have to have 10 percent of 1,000,000 which is 100,000 in about 360 days from now."

Neville asked "Can you. Can you have that much."

Ren bit his lip before he turned his eyes away and said "Yes."

Luna saw this and put her hand under Ren's jaw and turned him to look at her in the eyes and she asked "Can you have that much in time. Don't lie to me."

Ren looked at her for several moments and said "No."

At this everyone's eye's widen and Hermione said "Why did you just lie to us."

Ren looked at her and said "Because we have been through so much together that I knew if I told you the truth that you would do everything you could to try and save me. No matter the risk."

Luna said "So there is a way to save you."

Ren looked at her and she raised an eyebrow and said "I can tell your hiding something so just tell us already."

Ren sighed and said "There is a way but it comes at a cost. It has many names but I prefer the term Profit Sharing or PS. It has many benefits but it also has extreme risk. I can't ask you..."

Neville said "You don't have to ask. Just tell us what we need to do."

Ren looked at Neville and said "If we do this, we have to perform a ritual which will bind our MP and HP together. If one of us are damaged, the damage is spread across all of us. If all 5 of us do this and we each have 10 HP one of us took 10 HP of damage we would all get 2 HP of damage instead of one of us getting all 10 HP. If we each have 10 MP of magic and one of us cast a spell that cost 20 MP then we each will lose 4 MP. If one of us cast a spell that cost more magic then what we all have together then we all pass out. If one of us take more damage then all of us have HP then we all die."

A robotic voice from the doorway said "Statement Master, I do not see a problem with that. Is that not basically an advance form of battle meditation."

Everyone turned to look at the door and saw HK-47 standing there and Ron said "Bloody hell, HE's here as well."

HK turned to Ron and said "Statement, go climb a tree you hairless wookie meatbag."

Ron drew back his fist and hit HK in the head and Ron screamed out in pain as he pulled back his hand and began to shake it."

Neville said "How did you know that Ron use to be a wookie."

HK said "Confusion, was I not suppose to read the note in the ritual room."

Ren who was watching this got a wide eyed look on his face and said "Holy shit." causing everyone to turn and look at him.

HK said "Inquiry Master, why would bodily waste be considered holy."

Ren saw everyone looking at him and said "I think I just realized a way to cheat the system. I need to check something. Just...just stay here and I'll be back in a few moments." as he waved his hand and a portal appeared below him and he fell through the floor.

The portal closed and Ron who was still holding his hand said "Where did he go."

Just then a portal opened in the ceiling and Ren fell through with an excited look on his face and said "Sorry about that. If I'm right then for all of you I just left a few moments ago but for me it's been 3 hours. I was checking the Elder academy library and found out my idea could work."

Hermione said "There's a library nearby."

Ren looked at Hermione and said "If I could give you access to it I would but only the Elders can give access. I can't even take a book out of it to bring back so you can all read."

Hermione pouted a moment before she asked "So what did you find out that has you looking excited."

Ren looked at everyone in the room and said "First, are you all willing to risk EVERYTHING to help. If we fail, we all will die and will never see each other again. Are you all willing to risk that."

Neville said "You don't have to ask. I'm with you, always."

Luna wrapped her arms around Ren and said "You already know my answer."

Hermione quickly agreed before she looked at Ron who had a frown on his face while he was holding his hand agreed.

Ren looked at HK and who said "Statement, you are my master, what ever need you have for me, I will carry out with the greatest efficiency as I can master."

Ren nods and said "Then let me tell you about the ritual. As I already mentioned, all our HP and MP will be united together. You will all also be automatically raised to the rank of Ranger like I am which means that you will all have to pay the same magical tax I will...but this is where the advantage comes in. We all also share abilities. I'm a metamorph so I can change my looks to look like anyone. I have access to the Royal arms magic and like Luna, have the summoning ability. Luna also has her battle meditation ability she had as Bastila. We all have magic which is another name for the Force so any Jedi or Sith abilities we have also will be shared."

Ren looked at Ron and said "You Wookie strength and resistance to environmental issues."

Ren looked at Hermione and said "Your echo location ability you had from being Mission, which also explains how you were able to adapt so easily after you lost your sight as Ignis. You also have a photographic ability to recall anything you read."

Ren turned to Neville and said "Your ability to scavenge and survey the environment."

Ren then turned to HK and said "And then there is you. Your actually going to be our ace in the hole HK. We are going to upgrade you to be the best possible because every upgrade you get, helps upgrade us as well. Our skin will become stronger to the elements including the vacuum of space. It won't help us breath but it will be possible for us to hold our breath for several moments and not die because of the extreme cold of space. Between you and Ron's wookie resistance, we should be able to handle most environments and even you will gain some new abilities including being able to use magic and force abilities."

Ron paled at this as did several others and Luna asked "How much force abilities do you think he can gain."

Ren smirked and looked around the room and said "The possibilities are endless really."

HK-47 turned to Rem and said "Statement, master, I think I just experienced what meatbags call an orgasm. You bring me such great pleasure. When can we start."

Ron took a step back and said "That's it. If he starts leaking lubricant, someone else can clean him up."

Neville slapped Ron across the back of his head while Hermione slapped him across his face.

Luna said "I think he does have a point. When can we get started on getting stronger."

Ren said "Right now. Let's go back to the ritual room and I'll set everything up."

Neville asked "Exactly how is this going to help us all pay our magical tax. You never did explain that."

Ren smirked and said "Just trust me. Let's get the ritual taken care of and see where we are at." as he began to walk out of the room before everyone else began to follow him.
