Vegeta had trained in a regular workout room all day, to say he was pleased would have been a lie. He was beyond frustrated.

Bulma was supposed to be working on the gravity room but she had left somewhere and he was losing his patience with her. Why wouldn't she just fall in line? He could kill her in an instant and she knew this.

After a training filled day he was going back to his room when he noticed Goku carrying Bulma to her room. 'What?! Where was she all day?!'.

Vegeta grumbled and decided to wait outside the door. When it finally opened, Goku came out and smiled at him. "Oh. Hey, Vegeta."

Vegeta's eye twitched "Kakarot. I demand an explanation. Where was that woman all day."

Goku's brow furrowed "She has a name, Vegeta. And she was with us all day."

Vegeta balled his hand into a fist "Doesn't she know how long I've been waiting for her to finish that blasted machine."

"Vegeta" Goku stood chest to chest with Vegeta, catching him slightly off guard. "Please don't push, Bulma."

Vegeta huffed "And what's it to you clown!"

Goku covered Vegeta's mouth "Quiet. Bulma's sleeping."

Vegeta backed up and wanted to yell at him but noticed Goku's look. He seemed like he was holding back fury.

Vegeta huffed once more "Whatever." He then walked back to his room as Goku's eyes followed him the who time.

Goku sighed and looked at Bulma's door "Night, Bulma."

Finally, he too turned in for the night.

As the sun rose, so too did the father and son duo of Gohan and Goku. Both exited their rooms and yawned their way to the dining table.

Mrs Briefs gasped "Oh dear! You boys need some food?"

Gohan was about to get up as he rubbed the tiredness out of his eyes "It's okay, Bulma's mom. I can do-"

"Nonsense! I've got you two covahed" Mrs Briefs said as she began to cook.

Soon, Goku was awake enough to notice things around him. "Hey, Mrs Briefs? Is Bulma up yet?"

Mrs Briefs shook her head "Nope. It's kinda funny. She hadn't slept in in forevah!"

Gohan smiled "Guess that's from her workout yesterday."

Goku nodded "Yup. She wants to get stronger to protect you guys in case anything bad happens."

Mrs Briefs giggled "That's so sweet! I just hope she's not too sore"

Goku chuckled "Want me to go wake her up for breakfast? I'll make sure to check on her too."

Mrs Briefs smiled to herself "Go right ahead deary"

Goku got up and made his way to Bulma's room as Mrs Briefs sighed 'Bulma... Your so lucky to have someone like Goku around'

Bulma laid in bed, she'd been awake for a little while now but her muscles were aching more than ever before. "Movement... Hurts..."

Knock knock "Bulmaaaa. You in there?"

Bulma heard Goku's voice and her heart skipped a beat. "Uh Y-Yeah! I'm just uh... I... Can you help me please..."

"Sure thing!" Goku then opened the door to find Bulma sprawled out on her bed, still in her training clothes from yesterday. "Feelin' sore?" Goku said with a chuckle

Bulma scowled at him "Ha Ha... Can you help me sit up?"

Goku carefully supported her neck as he slowly helped her sit on the edge of her bed.

"Thanks. Were you ever sore after training?" Bulma asked

"Are you kidding?! Sometimes I wondered how many days would pass before the pain went away. Especially when I was a kid and I was still training all on my own" Goku replied

Bulma smirked "So... You think I'm gonna be sore for days?"

Goku waved his hand "Nah. You didn't do as much as I used to when I was a kid"

Bulma wanted to argue but... It was sound logic "Guess that's true... So... What do you wanna do today?"

Goku stood up "First things first. Let's get some food in our bellies!" He extended his hand waiting for her to accept.

Bulma was still sore but gripped his hand tight and tried to fight through the pain enough to get back to a vertical base.

She finally stood on her feet but ... Walking... That was her next obstable and honestly, she wasn't ready to tackle it yet.

She tried taking a step and would have fallen if not for Goku's quick reflexes as he caught her in a bridal carry

"Guess your still a bit wobbly hehe. Don't worry though, Bulma. I gotcha!" Goku said confidently as he walked out the room.

Bulma was thankful for his help and got to get a real close look at his face. She then remembered a time when he was smaller and tried wrapping her head around the fact that this Goku and kid Goku were the same person... It honestly wasn't that hard. Only difference was his size.

Bulma started thinking about all her memories of him. There were far too many to go over in such a short amount of time so she didn't realize when Goku finally arrived at the kitchen.

Mrs Briefs was still cooking when she heard them and looked around quickly "Oh! Good morning de-... Oh my my"

Gohan looked up and was a bit embarrassed "Uhhh dad? Why are you holding Bulma like that?"

Goku smiled "Her body is still sore from yesterday, she tried walking but almost fell. So I carried her down"

Gohan sighed in relief

Mrs Briefs chuckled "Welp, I'm almost done here, okay?"

Bulma snapped out of her thought "Huh? What?"

Everyone in the room started laughing as Bulma looked around confused.

Once everyone sat down and the food was served, it was another free for all. Of course, Bulma and Ms Briefs were still able to get food but Gohan and Goku continued going wild.

Mrs Briefs looked at Goku "So doll, what's ya plan for today?"

"Well ... I didn't really plan much but... I guess I'll just help you guys out if you need me" he answered after he finished his meal.

"And you young man?" Mrs Briefs asked, looking at Gohan.

Gohan finished and replied "I was gonna go around the city and check some stuff out, if that's okay." He then looked at Goku and kinda at Bulma.

Goku smiled "I don't see why not!"

Bulma smirked "Just try not to bring attention to yourself. In other words, don't fly around the city all day."

Gohan nodded "Thanks you guys! I'm gonna go get ready!" He got up and left.

"Have fun!" Bulma and Goku yelled before looking at each other, at first in surprise... then laughing.

Mrs Briefs chuckled and got up "Goku?" He immediately shifted attention to her "Mind if I talk to you for a moment?"

Goku nodded. "Sure thing!" He got up and followed her to another room.

Meanwhile Bulma took a moment to smile. Things were always better with Goku around. He certainly improved her mood, that much was confirmed.

Mrs Briefs took him into an outdoor area where all of their pets were and sat him down. "... Goku. What really happened with you and your wife?"

Goku gasped lightly, he was starting to forget that it had even happened. However, a bit reluctantly, he told his tale.

Bulma had had enough sitting around and stood up, the pain was going away slightly. She could at least walk, although her feet hurt like hell.

Bulma managed to make her way over to the couch and finally sat down "Welp... Guess I'm stationed here..."

She heard foot steps coming up from behind her and looked around excitedly, expecting Goku.

"My, my dear. Aren't you jumpy today." Dr Briefs stated

"Gah!" Bulma quickly turned around "Sorry, Dad..."

Her father sat in the seat next to her. "It's quite alright. You seem very happy though. Only a few days ago you were bickering with Vegeta. Now, you're all smiles. What's that about?"

Bulma chuckled to herself then told her father everything that had happened lately.

Meanwhile, Goku had just finished his explanation. "So yeah... That led me to coming here and asking for Bulma's advice and I'm pretty sure you know the rest."

Mrs Briefs nodded "I sure do."

The two sat side by side, watching the pets pass. From cats to dinosaurs they had it all but Mrs Briefs wasn't the least bit worried.

"Goku..." Mrs Briefs said in a near whisper

Goku looked at her curiously.

"I like you." Mrs Briefs said.

Goku raised an eyebrow

"Oh I don't mean like that, dear. I mean that I like when your around. You always give off that positive vibe, your quite the hunk for someone raised in the woods and ... we're really glad that Bulma found you" Mrs Briefs clarified

At the mention of Bulma, Goku's interest had peaked.

Mrs Briefs looked at her hands in her lap "When Bulma came home after she found you, you were all she talked about. The brave little boy who did what he knew was right... You inspired her." Mrs Briefs sighed "Even when she was with Yamcha, she always talked about you. You were always on her mind and even ... in her heart."

Goku smiled at hearing this.

"And now that Chichi has kinda fallen off her rocker. I'm not sure what's gonna happen... But I do know this" she looked at Goku "You will always have a home here, Goku."

Mrs Briefs hugged Goku which was surprising but he hugged back, happy that it happened.

"Thank you for all you've done for my daughter..." Mrs Briefs concluded

"No problem, ma'am" Goku chuckled and seperated as they both got up and walked back to the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Bulma had just wrapped up her story to her father.

"Hehe, well well! Sounds like you've got it bad for him, my dear" Dr Briefs stated

"W-What?! But! I can't! There's no way, Dad!" Bulma said in hysterics.

Dr Briefs smirked "Trust me, dear. I can hear it in your voice when you talk about him. You care for him far more than most of the others you've told me about. Even that Yamcha fellow"

Bulma sighed "Dad... Goku's married... I can't like him." She looked down "It's impossible..."

"... Well uhhh not really..." Dr Briefs interrupted her self sadness.

Bulma looked at him clearly lost "What do you mean?"

"Well a year or two ago you told me that he died, if you'll recall." Dr Briefs explained

Bulma nodded her head curiously

"Marraige is 'till death do you part... his marriage could be classified as ended once he passed away." Dr Briefs finished

Bulma was in a shocked state "So he's... He's basically single..."

"Precisely. Though I'd still check with the court just in case. If they even went to one" her father added.

Bulma thought about it real hard then blushed as she remembered something she said to her dad "Wait! I mean! It's not like I'm into him or anything!" She panicked

Her father simply chuckled "Don't worry, pumpkin. Your secret is safe with me." He got up from the couch "Rest well today." And with that. He left

"Thanks, Dad" Bulma smiled, a new hope had infiltrated her head. The way to go about it though, that was the problem.

Goku and Bulma's mom returned to the kitchen. "I'll get started on the dishes, dear"

Goku nodded "Okay, thank you, Mrs Briefs" he then made his way to the living space and saw Bulma deep in thought on the couch. "Hey, Bulma!"

Bulma jumped a little "Goku! Don't scare me like that!"

He sat next to her "Hehe, sorry, Bulma. Force of habit" he had a big grin on his face.

Bulma's anger quickly melted and she sighed. "I think I'm just gonna stay here for now. It was hard enough getting over here and unless the soreness goes away, I can't really do much."

"Alright, then I'll stay with you" Goku stated, surprising Bulma once again.

"Are... Are you sure, Goku? I know you're not one to stay still for long." Bulma added

"That is true." He acknowledged "But when I'm around you I'm really calm. It's weird ... But I like it"

Bulma took a deep breath. What he said really got her and she was taken aback that he could do that without even trying.

She decided to shake it off and return her attention to her soap operas. Goku didn't really understand them but saw Bulma was enjoying them, so he decided to remain quiet.

Bulma was watching the show when she saw two characters she didn't care for, kiss. Bulma was curious about what Goku's reaction would be to something like that and looked at him from the corner of her eye.

Goku looked... upset. He didn't look entirely mad or sad, he looked like he was reminded of a bad time.

"You okay, Goku?" Bulma asked gently

Goku snapped his attention to her then rubbed the back of his head "Oh it's nothing hehe"

Bulma shook her head lightly "Hey." She put a hand on his shoulder "I'm your best friend... You can tell me" Bulma used her most soothing voice.

Goku sighed "... Chichi used to try and do that stuff with me"

"Like kissing? Well, I'd hope so. You're her husband" Bulma turned to him more

"Yeah but... I never liked it. She always forced that stuff on me." Goku looked at his hands nervously

"Forced?..." Bulma said in surprise

"I mean, she told me that husband's and wives do it all the time. At first it was fine but... It always felt like she was making me do it rather than me wanting to do it." Goku didn't break his stare at his hands

Bulma was in a lot of shock right now 'Geez... I'm glad Chichi's not here to hear this. She'd be so pissed...'. "Goku. I know you wanna be a good husband but... You should be happy in your relationship too."

"Relationship?" Goku asked

Bulma mentally facepalmed "I'll tell you later... My point is that you should want to do stuff like that naturally. Do it because you want to, not because you're told to"

Goku smiled "Thanks, Bulma."

Bulma giggled "No problem, Goku"

From the kitchen, Mrs and Mr Briefs could see the two, they then shared a joyous smile as they went into a different room. They didn't want to disturb the two adults.

After a while of watching the show, Bulma was finally starting to notice the soreness in her system go away. And with one determined kick, launched herself up and out of her seat.

"Woah. Are you okay, Bulma?" Goku asked slightly worried

Bulma nodded "Yup! I feel great! My legs are still a little sore but nothing like they were this morning."

Goku smiled, glad to see her happy.

The doorbell then rang, catching the two's attention. "I'll get it." Bulma said as she walked towards the door. Goku simply watched her until he felt a familiar ki nearby.

Bulma opened the door "Hel-" Bulma froze

"... Hello to you too, Bulma... Now, is my husband here."
