Another Plot bunny I simply couldn't let disappear. This OC is also called Manarath Frostbringer, but he is a DnD character I created who is done with his journey in his universe and is now traveling to other universes to indulge and satisfy his curiosity. This is just to indulge myself with this character and nothing else xD.
The sound of reality being torn open to create a portal is not pleasant for those who would hear it, luckily no one heard it this time since it happened in a desert far away from any form of civilization.
"Honey... I know you said this would be a fun adventure and vacation where we could enjoy ourselves... but I don't think any of that can happen in a desert," a beautiful sultry voice said, the tone of the voice annoyed.
"Yes sweetheart, I understand that, but! This way I can set up a temporary base for us to scout and plan everything we can do!" A more masculine voice said, tone filled with excitement at the prospect of a new adventure.
When the dust cloud that had kicked up finally disappeared, two people could be seen. One was a man of average height and build, slicked-back white hair that has no reason to still look this perfectly set after a wild journey through what is basically a wormhole and a clean-shaven face, eyes a deep amber color with a small glow. Clad in dark leathers and a beautiful ornate coat filled with symbols that give of the smallest of glows. The other was the picture of female beauty. Not a single thing about her was out of place, and every single part of her screamed beauty. from her coal-black hair to something as simple as the way she carries herself. She was also clad in black leather, but where the man's leather was more protective in nature, hers were made to show off her body in the best ways possible, with nothing visible to protect her.
"Manarath... Honey... you had nothing planned for when we arrived, did you?..." the woman said, her tone a mix of exasperation and annoyance.
Gasping in fake shock. Manarath said, "Of course I had a plan! How dare you accuse me of something so- Of course I didn't have a plan Selene, this is as new to me as it is to you. I'm making plans as I gather knowledge. Now give me 10 minutes to set everything up and we can enjoy the comforts of our personal plane of existence and plan for what we are going to do."
With his piece said, Manarath started drawing symbols in the sand, which then lit up with arcane power. Once finished, he made a small chant that made the glow of the symbols started glowing brighter. When the glowing subsided, a see-through dome with a diameter of 60 ft was covering both Manarath and Selene. Stepping out of the dome, Manarath started writing new symbols, this time on the dome itself. When finished, the dome instead became gained a black color.
"That should do it. Now let us enter and start our research into this interesting new world." Manarath said, his tone filled. with excitement at the prospect of learning something new. And all his wife Selene could do was roll her eyes at the child-like excitement her husband was showing.
The new interior of the dome didn't physically make any sense. It was much bigger on the inside. One part was a sort of sitting area for talking and relaxing, another part looked like some kind of laboratory filled to the brim with vials, open books, and scrolls, with unique patterns that looked like magic circles. A third part was a dinner area, with some of the expensive-looking furniture and pictures spread around the room. A fourth part was a giant library. The part you couldn't see currently. All these parts were connected to a singular room that was the first thing you enter this plane of existence.
"All right honey, you start whatever you need. I'm going to get a snack. Call me if you need me!" Selene said and started walking towards the dining room.
"Sure thing, sweetheart. I might need you for the initial part of diplomacy, just in case someone who could sense our arrival comes to check on us," Manarath noted, already making his way towards his laboratory.
"Yes, yes honey, I will be there. Just remember to engage the security this time!" Selene yelled from the entrance to the dining room. A laugh filling her voice as she quickly made her way to the kitchen that was attached to the dining area.
"You forget something once! And you never live it down!" Manarath yelled, a mixture of annoyance and amusement filling his voice at being reminded of his one mistake, and at the joke his wife played at his expense.
"Now let us see what we can find out about this new world we find ourselves in," Manarath mumbled to himself as he arrived at a table with many weird instruments attached, touching a single rune in the center of the table several screens of arcane energy came to life, showing different information about the world he now found himself on.
"MR. AZAZEL! MR. AZAZEL! WE FOUND IT!" A young-looking fallen angel was shouting, running, and flying around every other fallen on their way to talk to this Mr. Azazel. Mr. Azazel is a tall man who looks to be in his twenties, he has an average build, black hair with golden bangs, a black goatee adorning his face.
Azazel turned to the approaching fallen and gives them a disarming and charming smile. "Take a breath and explain what we apparently found."
Turning into a blushing mess because of the attention from Azazel, they stuttered out an answer, "Th- The spacial a-anomaly caused by magic? W-we found the exact location, a-a-and there is still magic active in the area, so someone is still there!"
Azazel's eyes lit up with interest. This anomaly was felt throughout the entire world. But no one could pinpoint where it came from, since all you could feel was the echo of the amount of magic that was used to create the original anomaly. "Well, that just means I have something to check out! Send word to my secretary I'm not accepting any calls for the rest of the day!" And with that, a teleportation circle appeared under Azazel, and in a flash of light, he was gone.
"He... he meant I was supposed to talk to her?... Oh no..." the young-looking fallen said, dread filling him.
Appearing in his office, Azazel started packing the most vital things he needed for his little expedition. So busy was he, that he didn't notice the other person in the room with him.
"Someones is in a hurry," the person said, startling Azazel and making him jump at least a meter in the air.
"Goddammit, Vali! Don't scare me like that! And what are you doing in my office, anyway!?" Azazel yelled out, annoyed.
The person he was speaking to was Vali Lucifer, a handsome young man with silver hair and hazel eyes. He is wearing a dark green V-neck shirt with a high-collared black leather jacket over it.
"What have you in such a hurry, Azazel?" Vali asked, disregarding Azazel's reprimand. "You normally only get this excited when you get the chance to study sacred gears. Has a rare one popped up somewhere?"
"*sigh* Look Vali, I need to hurry so they don't disappear again, but you remember that wave of power that swept through the world a few days ago?" Getting a nod as an answer, Azazel continues. "Well, the people I put to finding the location, found it, and magic is still being used in the area, so I'm packing to investigate this mysterious magic-user."
"You mean to tell you found what did it?" Vali asked, excitement filling his voice at the prospect of fighting someone who was strong enough to output that amount of power in a single burst.
"Oh, no no no no no NO! You are not fighting them before I get a chance to talk to them. Don't lie to me and say you wouldn't if I didn't just say no. I can hear it in your voice Vali!" Azazel says quickly as soon as he hears the tone of Vali. Azazel knows his charge well enough that if no one monitored him, he would find the strongest people he could and just fight them. Vali's battle lust was sometimes too much and put him in dangerous situations. It doesn't help that the soul inhabiting his sacred gear encourages this behavior. Vali's sacred gear is called Divine Dividing one of the 13 Longinus, host the Vanishing Dragon, the White Dragon Emperor; Albion, who wants a strong enough wielder to beat his eternal rival, the Welsh Dragon, the Red Dragon Emperor, Ddraig. Ddraig's soul also inhabits a sacred gear, namely the boosted gear.
"I'm going with you anyway, it's most likely going to turn into a fight because you are not good at diplomacy," Vali answered, not at all bother with the accusation, mostly because Azazel was right, he wanted to fight whatever made that burst of power.
"Are you sure I can't talk you out of it?" Azazel asked, even though he already knew the answer would be no, and the shake of Vali's head just confirmed it. "*sigh* sure then, you might be of some use in a diplomacy setting, or it might just turn into a fight as you wish it would." All Azazel got in response was an insufferable smirk. "Then pack what you need and let's go. We don't have any time to waste."
"Are you sure this is the correct place? I know you said you didn't want to teleport too close in case it could be sensed, but we are in the middle of a desert."
Sighing for what felt like the thousand times since Azazel teleported them as close to the location as he felt comfortable with. He knew whatever created that disturbance could use magic, so they could likely sense any form of teleportation. So he teleported a single kilometer from the target, and walked from there, just so they wouldn't get spotted in the sky.
"Yes Vali, I'm sure this is the correct place. I can sense the magic my people said they picked up, and we should be able to see it any second now." Azazel answered his irritated charge.
And correct he was, reaching the top of the sand-hill they were walking up. They can now see a black dome that most certainly wasn't a natural phenomenon.
"Well, that's certainly where the magic is coming from," Azazel says, trying to figure out what that dome could be.
"Are they just hiding in the dome?" Vali asks, annoyance filling him. Where someone that could create such a powerful burst just hiding from the world? How weak must they actually be?
"Don't take this as a sign of weakness Vali, there can be many reasons to hide." The voice of Albion says within Vali's mind. Making Vali roll his eyes, "Why would they be hiding, you said yourself you haven't felt such a powerful burst of magic since you were alive and at the height of your fight with the Welsh Dragon," Vali says, annoyance continuing to fill him.
"Let's get a closer look," Azazel says, knocking Vali out of his conversation with Albion. "what do you mean closer look? They are hiding in that dome. What else is there to know?" Vali asks.
"I know magic isn't your strong suit, Vali, but magic can do wonderful things. Such as expanding a closed space. And from the looks of the dome, you can't see in or out of it." That was an assumption and a half, and Azazel knew it. But he really just wanted to find out who was doing this before Penemue came after him for skipping out on work again.
Making his way down the hill towards the black dome, Vali falling into step with him. Azazel feels it before anything happens. There was something pressing down on his mind. It was subtle, but his experience in magic made it clear something was trying to influence him into going closer to the dome. It wasn't an attack, more like a suggestion to follow his want of figuring out the mystery right in front of him. Looking over at Vali, he could see intrigue on his face, which wasn't normal. Vali would only be intrigued if there was the possibility of a good fight, not at a mystery. Arriving right in front of the dome, a circle of runes shows up right in front of them.
"Well, that's new. I can't read them." Azazel says out loud, his annoyance clear as day. He should be able to read any language, even old ones.
"Albion can," Vali says, realizing the ridiculousness of the fact he couldn't read it either, but a dragon could.
Raising an eyebrow at his charge, Azazel waits a moment, hoping Vali will continue to explain. Maybe even let Albion out so he can talk to the both of them without Vali having to relay any information Albion has. And that's the case, since two white dragon wings appear on Vali's back, with what looks to be eight energy feathers. And the deep voice of Albion speaks. "The runes have root in the language of dragons. Dragons only use it when we are alone and talking to another dragon. It's a magical language, literally magical. Seeing it being used for a spell is new, however, and I don't know or remember any dragon using it for magic like this."
Shock and surprise spread between Azazel and Vali, an entire language for dragons that no one knew about, well, except for them now. "So It's a dragon that did this?" Vali asks, his tone going from annoyed to excited, a dragon? That was something he could test himself against. Vali wanted to prove he was the top dragon.
"Do you know what kind of spell it is?" Azazel asks, trying to keep some of the awe out of his voice. "Yes... It's a security spell that acts as a keypad. Type in the correct code and you can go in. Or you can press the topmost rune to call for anyone inside... Like a doorbell." Albions' tone turned to one of annoyance when he found out what exactly his own language had been used to create, really? door security.
Getting a silly smile on his face, Azazel turns to Vali. "Well, should we ring it?" Azazel asks, while unknowingly raising his arm to press the rune Albion pointed out. Vali sees this, eyes widening in surprise. This wasn't something Azazel would do without checking the spell to look for anything nefarious. But it was too late. Before Vali could do anything, Azazel had already pressed the rune.
The last thing they both saw before everything turned black was a red flash of light coming from the rune Azazel pressed.
"HONEY! The alarm is going!" Manarath Frostbringer yelled from his laboratory. "And the security picked up two bodies, but 3 souls! Could you check it out and see if they are intelligent enough for conversation? I will join you as soon as I can!"
Giving a quiet sigh, Selene said, "OF COURSE HONEY! SEE YOU THERE!" As she began her walk to where the security sent possible intruders. Hopefully, they were intelligent so she could get some information about this world and they could go out and experience the world. Arriving in the chamber, Selene spots Azazel and Vali, both frozen in stasis. It looks like her husband didn't put up the more damaging defenses, just the ones that would capture for later interrogation. Giving off a smile that would set men's hearts alight with passion while also filling their minds with fear, Selene started the process of waking the two intruders up for questioning.
Feeling consciousness coming back to him, Azazel takes the time to analyze his surroundings through his other senses before he wakes up. He can feel the magic keeping him locked in suspended animation and nothing else. Azazel can't sense anything further than that. Opening his eyes, the only thing he can see is a barren room with only a single table, a couple of chairs, made of wood. Next to him, He could see Vali, also in suspended animation, most likely still unconscious or in the process of waking up like himself.
"Well, well, well, look who decided to join me in the land of the living," a sultry voice said from in front of him. "It's nice to have some company. I have been so lonely down here."
The woman, for she could be nothing else, was the most beautiful woman Azazel had ever seen. Every single part of her was perfect. From her hair, nose, lips, and eyes, to hear perfectly sized breast, with just the right amount of perkiness that they were all Azazel could focus on as soon as he saw everything else. His perverted side had taken over, and all he wanted was to squeeze those perfect breasts just once.
"Oh, you sweetheart, but sadly my husband wouldn't want me to play with you that way." The unknown woman said, her tone disappointed. Sounding like she would like nothing better than to play with him a little. Wait a second. Did she just read his mind?
"Yes, sweetheart, but please speak instead of just thinking. I like the actual conversation." The woman said, confirming that she actually was reading his mind.
"Well gorgeous, maybe you can get me out of here and we could have some fun. What your husband doesn't know won't hurt him," Azazel said, putting on his best flirtatious smile, hoping to get something out of her before he had to interrogate her.
"Honey, I can still read your mind, and if my husband were here, he would have killed you on the spot for the thought not even caring about the information you hold, he would just resurrect you as an undead slave and force you to answer him. But please continue, I would love to see what my husband could get out of you before he kills you." A predatory smile made its way onto her face, filling Azazel with dread. The way she spoke about how casually her husband could kill him, without even knowing how powerful he was, was unsettling. Looking over at Vali, Azazel could see he had something planned, but it was too late to warn against him doing anything, as the white wings of his sacred gear burst from his back and the voice of Albion yelled out, "Divide!" halving the power of the spell holding him, making him able to free himself. When Vali got free, he sprang with all his might towards the mysterious woman, who turned in shock to look at him. Not even having the time to defend herself. But she didn't have to.
"SUFFER!"
Vali dropped right in front of the woman, letting out a soul-wrenching scream of agony, while just laying on the floor. No visible thing actually hurting him.
Standing in the door stood one of the most intimidating sights Azazel had seen in a long time. The image of a man with fury clear on his face, pointing what could only be a wand at Vali as he lies on the ground screaming in agony.
"If you so much as think! About hitting my wife, I will rip the skin off your meat suit, drop you in salt while having you go through your worst fear with this level of pain on top of it. Am I making myself CLEAR?!"
Manarath lifted the spell on Vali to give him a chance to answer. But he couldn't. Most likely because he was still twitching from the pain he just went through. Seeing that, Manarath instead turned to Azazel for an answer. Who could only nod his head, hoping that he could end Vali's suffering for now.
"Good, now I'm going to let you down, and we can take this conversation to the sitting room instead of where I keep my prisoners," Manarath said, dropping Azazel and turning to walk out of the room. But before he got too far, he flicked his wand over his shoulder at Vali, making Vali flinch. But there was no need, as his pains were relieved, accompanied by a golden glow encompassing him.
"Come along now, we have much to talk about."
Sooooooo, yeah, another story. But! This will not be a focus, just something I write for fun!. Still, I hope you enjoyed it, and I will see you next time! :D
