SO! Another chapter, I don't know where I'm going with this story, I will find out along the way! Still, I hope you enjoy :D

When Azazel was let down, the first thing he did was run to the downed form for Vali to make sure he was okay. Azazel had never heard Vali scream in pain like he just had, and that made him nervous. The woman's husband had, with a single spell, taken out Vali, who never even got the chance to dodge. Even Azazel couldn't see the spell being cast before Vali was on the floor, screaming like his soul was set on fire. At least it was confirmed that the husband was powerful.

"Vali, can you speak? How are you feeling?" Azazel asked, worry for his charge clear in his voice. All he got from Vali was sighs of relief and panting for breath. It took another minute for Vali to regain the ability to talk.

"Azazel... I just experienced the most excruciating pain I have ever felt. OF COURSE I'M NOT FEELING GOOD," Vali yelled, which resulting in a coughing fit.

"You know, I saw my dear husband heal you. No need to overreact." Selene said, annoyance lacing her tone. How ungrateful was this brat to not even say thank you for being healed? Youth show no gratitude.

"What are you on about you, wench! My body is still twitching!" Vali yelled, feeling annoyed at what she said. How the hell was he supposed to stand up after that amount of pain?

"Oh really? Let me have a look at you." Selene said, making her way back towards Vali from the open door her husband just went through. Waving her hand over him, she cast a diagnostic spell, one made to tell how much pain someone was in. And oh boy, the result she got back was weird. He was still in pain? How did that work? The spell was supposed to take all the pain away when it ended. And her dear Manarath had even cast a healing spell on him.

"Are you people weak against magic or something? The spell is supposed to take all the pain away as soon as it ended. And my husband cast a healing spell on him." Selene asked Azazel. Her voice filling with just a bit of worry. They needed to create good relations and leaving people in pain, or worse, dead because they didn't know these creatures' resistance to magic. These worries went through her as she cast another healing spell, one designed to alleviate pain.

"No, there isn't specific magic we are weak against," Azazel answered, still mostly worried about Vali. But seeing Selene cast another spell that gave off the same energies as the last spell her husband cast. Hopefully, Vali would be up in no time. Which was right now as Vali sat up unassisted and he had stopped twitching as well.

"Well, you look better. All your stuff is on the table." Selene said while waving her hand towards it. And all their stuff appeared. "Now get what you need and meet us in the sitting room. It should be the only open door when you exit this one."

With her piece said, Selene left them to go to the kitchen and gather some snacks for when they sit down and talk.

Manarath was sitting in his chair on one side of the table that was in the sitting room, his expression blank, but the glow of his eyes spoke of the anger he was suppressing. The anger quickly got replaced with a cheerful smile when he saw his wife walk in with a tray of snacks in her hands. The smile disappeared when he saw and felt the worry she was feeling.

"What's wrong? Did they try something again?" Manarath asked, his anger quickly coming back. These insects would dare raise their hand against his wife again? Even after the demonstration of the power he wielded over them. Maybe they were dumber than he thought.

"No, no, the younger of them was just still hurt. Did you change how the spell effect people without me knowing? I could have sworn it was an empowered version of Power Word: Pain." Selene asked her husband. Who gave her a pleased smile about her recognition of the spell. "Good catch. I knew you were getting better at sensing spells, but no, It was just an empowered Power Word: Pain."

"Are you sure? Because even after your healing spell, he was twitching in pain. Not even phantom pains, actual pain. I had to cast another one on him just so he could join us." Selene explained. All Manarath did was close his eyes. Selene noted his thoughts were flying at a speed she couldn't comprehend. He was thinking about what she said. That was good.

"I will have to get more information about their biological makeup before I can come to any conclusion about why my spell had that effect. But until then, please put the tray on the table and join me. You did a good job," Manarath said when his thoughts came back to the present. And gave her a pleased smile at the end. And Selene gave him one right back.

"Oh? did I please you, my dear husband? Maybe I could please you in some other ways? I can show you how much of a good girl I can be." Selene said, her voice dripping with raw sex appeal. But all she got was a laugh from Manarath, making her smile.

"Maybe later, my dear. If we continue this talk, we will make our guests uncomfortable." Her husband said, looking past her to the door she had walked through a couple of minutes ago.

"No no, please continue, it was just getting good." Was Azazels response to the scene he and Vali walked in on. And he was right. By the tone Selene was speaking in, it was just about to get good.

"Sadly, we don't do free shows, and I don't know you well enough to invite you to one. But that is not why we are here. Sit," Manarath commanded. His voice going from jovial to commanding in an instant. Doing as commanded, Azazel and Vali took a seat in the chairs on the opposite side of the table to Manarath and Selene.

"My name is Manarath Frostbringer. This is my wife Selene Frostbringer." Manarath said, his tone the same as that of a skilled diplomat. "We are dimensional travelers. We have traveled to this dimension both in my pursuit of knowledge of the arcane, and to actually find a place where my wife and I can relax without interruption."

"My name is Azazel, Governor-General of the Grigori. This is my charge, Vali. We came here to investigate the disturbance that sent a wave of power through the entire world. But I guess I found it, huh?" Azazel asked while rubbing the back of his head in a relaxed manner. Making Vali snort. How could he be this relaxed when they had just been prisoners and tortured him?

When Azazel mentioned a disturbance, both Manarath and Selene turned to look at each other. Manarath, with a sheepish smile, and Selene, an annoyed one with one eyebrow twitching. "You said, 'the entire world'? Are you sure about that being the case?" Selene asked, annoyance lacing her tone. But thankfully not directed at either Azazel or Vali. So Azazel answered. "Yes, I would be surprised if anyone from the supernatural world didn't feel it." The answer made Selene's twitching eyebrow twitch even harder, annoyance turning more towards anger. Selene sadly didn't get to express the displeasure she felt towards her husband because he perked up in interest.

"You make it sound like the normal populace would be ignorant of my arrival," Manarath said, his eyes glowing with interest. "Are your people hiding from them? Is there a reason for this?" Manarath asked in quick succession. Leaning more and more towards Azazel, ignoring his wife who was still giving him that annoyed look before she let out a tired sigh and turned to Vali with a smile.

"They are most likely going to be at this for hours. Let me show you around while they are having their talk." She said, getting up from her chair making her way towards the door. "You coming? Are you joining the boys talk about this world?"

Feeling annoyed about this whole situation, Vali stood up and decided that he would rather see what kind of place this was than listen to Azazel nerd out with another person. But his thoughts were interrupted by Manarath, who looked at Vali and his wife. "By the way dear, can you find out why I sense another soul, specifically a dragon soul, sharing his body? And see if I can get an audience with this dragon. I'm in the middle of gathering information."

Vali was unsettled by the way they simply ignored both him and Azazel and planning things that involved them with no thought.

"Of course, honey! I'll have it planned out before you know it. I'll just show young Vali here around for a bit while you talk with mister Azazel."

Vali was shown around this weird building? Was it a building? He should probably ask. But he was interested in the room he just walked into. It was a trophy room that served as a sitting room as well. Most likely for intimidation. Hold meetings in here with new people and they could see all Manarath had accomplished and they would either get a sense of awe or fear. Because there were trophies from things Vali recognized and things he didn't. But what caught his eye was a collection of 10 glowing gems, each glowing a different color. 5 of them are chromatic in color, 5 of them metallic in color. Vali could feel something from them. Vali didn't exactly know what, but he was drawn to it.

"Ah, I see you feel a connection to the Conclave of Dragon my husband slew. He took their souls as punishment so they couldn't go to their afterlife, and so their followers couldn't resurrect them again." Selene said as she re-entered the room, a cup of coffee in her hand. She had gone to get it after she finished the tour. "They were probably the biggest threat my dear husband faced at the time. It wasn't long after that we got married." Selens' tone was filled with nostalgia. "But that's most likely not why you are interested in them. It's that soul sharing your body, isn't it? The connection between you two is phenomenal, by the way."

The compliment came so out of the blue Vali had to double-check that it was actually a compliment. "How do you know of my connection to Albion? Both you and your husband say you can sense him, but that shouldn't be possible when I don't have him out. Not even Azazel can sense him." Vali was put off. He had put a lot of effort into not being detectable. So the fact these two could simply sense he had Albion in his sacred gear when he was concerning.

"Oh, my husband and I have a way to detect souls, so unless you can hide your soul, we will always know you are there. And it's the reason we can feel this Albion you carry within you. What is it like sharing a body with someone else?" The way Selene deflected his question by actually answering truthfully from what Vali could tell, and then returned the conversation back to him, spoke of an expert manipulator who knew they were in control of the situation. To be honest, it pissed Vali off.

"I was born with him being there, so I can't say anything regarding not sharing my body with someone else. He mostly just relaxes when I'm not training." Even though he was mad, he repressed the feelings in order to be on his 'hosts' good side and answered the question.

"Does he have to use you as a medium for communication or can he speak for himself?" She asked. The interest in speaking with Albion was clear, since it was the only emotion Vali could read on her face.

"He can speak for himself if he wants to, but I have to be there," and without another word, Vali summoned the wings of Divine Dividing. "What are the dragons in those pearls? Because I don't recognize them." The voice of Albion demanded. The question had been on his mind since he figured out they were dragon souls. How powerful were these dragons to be taken out by a mortal? How powerful was the mortal to take out 10 dragons?

Hearing a giggle, Albion turned his attention back towards Selene. "Oh, they were some of the most powerful dragons of their time. Well, by our standards anyway. If my husband hadn't taken them out when he did, they would have risen as gods." Selene said, still trying to control her giggles. "They were already powerful before since a dragon only gets more powerful with age, and they had already become great wyrms! which is the oldest they can get before stagnating in power." When she finished explaining, Selene finally let the giggles get the better of her.

"Ah, I'm sorry. I'm just remembering the whole scenario that happened. My husband took them down one by one. But it was how he went about it. Those 10 Dragons were actually doing a good job at keeping the peace. But their heads got too big, and they thought they could bring Manarath under their thumb. Someone blessed by the goddess of magic. And the most powerful magic-user in the land." Releasing a satisfied sigh, Selene continued, "Needless to say, they didn't survive their attempts. And they were too prideful to ask for help, so they got killed off one by one."

"Hah! Are you telling the story about how those idiot dragons tried to tell me what I couldn't do?" The voice of Manarath said as he walked through the door. "I remember it clearly when the first dragon came. They were so surprised I could negate their breath attack they didn't have time to react to my attack." The white orb flew from its place and right into Manarath's hand. "You were so fond of hunting me you didn't notice when you became the hunted! Oh, that was a good time," Manarath said with a laugh.

Azazel walked in behind Manarath and inspected the room, and let out a whistle. "This is an impressive collection. But what's this about dragons?"

"That can wait. I have a conversation with the soul of another dragon that's here right now," Manarath said, a smile of interest displayed on his face. "Are you ready to tell me about yourself Albion?"

I don't know why, but this chapter was hard to write. Hope you guys still enjoy it tho! :D
