Hello My Honeys,
I apologize that I've been so busy lately but I've been working SO hard to complete a list of days from August's SasuHina Month and all the other troubles in my life that time has started to run away from me. I'll be posting these updates as I complete them but I do hope my Honeys can enjoy them.
As noted, the rating will be placed at the beginning of the chapters.
Day 1:
Prompt: The Beginning of Us / Subtle Dating At Its Finest
Rating: T
"The aeviternal verse of their fate languishes itself in the nebulae of cosmic rebirth. A thousand suns, a thousand moons and a million stars craft the eternal gateways entangled in the threads of their infinite lifetimes. As such, weaving through omniscient time, the seasons gather blooms of their Samsara fragments in worlds steeped with Uchiha nostalgia and Hyūga Rebirth."

「8月1日」
Within the dance of nebulous memories and crumbling moondust, the scent of her remained unmistakably enchanting. Soft with winter-sweet cotton, feminine purity and lemon balm tea; he could not stop himself from drinking in its quiet, spring, tapestry. It made him pleasantly hazy in the oppressive darkness of his cell, the restrictive chakra-binding fabric of his prison straitjacket spreading a dull but aching numbness through the recent amputation of his left arm.
It was only the brush of pure instinct that tipped his head in the direction of her approach. Like clockwork she arrived, day after day, to cross the impenetrable barrier eked around his cell. Boldly trespassing where traumatized med-nin, exasperated peers, forlorn teammates and terrified ANBU feared to tread.
Ever so gracious and unassuming, the quiet serenity of her breaths and tranquil, violet-bright, chakra negated the sound of electrified prison bars creaking open and slamming back into place. She became the only reprieve Uchiha Sasuke managed to find in Konoha's hollow confinement, the pained recollection of his biggest failure constantly weaving mournful images of death and madness behind sealed onyx-wisteria eyes.
A deep obsidian stretch of fabric obscured his vision behind an ensnaring red 封; the stifling sensation of its placement not only draining the power of his newly awoken dōjutsu but unravelling the hard-won dregs of sanity he barely managed to retain.
Its creation was a nightmare-inducing prohibitor crafted by the hands of the Sealing Corps and Ibiki's ilk: their delightful punishment for the sin of chaos he was determined to sow.
Sasuke didn't mind the physical restriction as much as the parched cry of his chakra coils and unravelling mind, its devious syphoning evoking a heaving anguish constantly assaulting the left side of his head. Healed or not, the Godaime Hokage made sure to incarcerate him as quickly as possible before he snapped and dragged the rest of the Village Elders into an enraged death as brutal as the one he granted their scheming peer.
Either way, the seventeen-year-old shinobi had little choice but to forsake the hiss of hatred following his reluctant ANBU gaolers.
The self-destructive tendencies of his Clan and unholy pride was constantly seeking to negate the flicker of hope he found in Naruto's words at the end of the war, his mind forever wavering on the choice of compliance he selected rather than the instinctual defiance his exhausted mind still howled for.
The longer he remained confined in the recesses of his madness however, the heavier the burden became on his soul. Sasuke wanted nothing more than freedom from guilt, escape from confinement, reprieve from pain and destruction…from the anguish of being alive when there was absolutely nothing left—.
Yet, forever, he would be denied the honour of suicide.
His brother's mournfully, regretfully, but so cleverly whispered 「I will always love you」restrained the howling ache from eating him alive inside — stopped his limbs from overpowering his weak restraints and gnawing through his tongue in sheer frustration.
When she came however, the Byakugan Hime of the Hyūga Clan; he finally managed to partially claw himself up from the abyss of that consuming darkness.
Hyūga Hinata was his hidden obsession in happier times, the rock of stability he found in and amongst the dead of his kin and the delirium of a soul yet to split and crack apart at the hands of the village.
Basking openly in her tranquil moonlight softness and tender generosity as she drew ever closer, it felt like years since Sasuke caught a visible glimpse of her haunting – grown – features across from him on the battlefield. The gentle understanding and friendship they shared as Academy children and genin reflected, still, in the concern tainting fae-like dōjutsu and the whisper of his name falling from parted lips that day.
Hinata was the only person who knew he was planning to leave Konoha the night he did, their shifting relationship – borne on the training-grounds of Konoha deep at night and deliberately hidden away from the cruelty of her Clan; evoked something the both of them desperately needed at the time:
Confidence, power, understanding, healing, secretly devoted smiles and a binding of kindred souls obscured by the cloak of a million stars and undulating lunar cycles. It had been the beginning of them, the gossamer intimacy that never once allowed him to consider another and her to bloom and sway beneath the hellfire passion slowly but surely escaping his soul.
Languidly crossing his legs beneath him on the iron-framed prison bed, Uchiha Sasuke struggled to ease the consanguine ache assailing his muscles as the restrictive confines of his straightjacket only seemed to grow tighter and more frustrating the longer she stayed.
Dragging a dry tongue across parched lips, he couldn't quite conceal the ragged sigh escaping pale lips.
"Hinata." He uttered raggedly, shivering unexpectedly when a concerned weight instantly settled next to him on the bed and a brush of human warmth swam up against his senses. It came as an immediate shock to his system; his previous awareness having been iced with the cold of his cell and bitter solitude.
Blind, crippled and constantly exhausted in the hands of the T&I Department, he wondered when she became the pillar of stability he so desperately craved. Touch-starved senses eagerly drank in the concerned palm lifting to lay across his cheek, face tilting instinctively into her touch as the soft exhalations of her breath unconsciously ruffled the feral mess of his bangs.
She carried with her the scent of homemade bento, unsweetened chrysanthemum tea and gentle, iryō-coated, fingertips. The seventeen-year-old unconsciously found his tense shoulders unwinding at her close proximity as he swayed toward her.
He was dizzy and broken…unbalanced and needy—.
"Sasuke." She quietly returned, an undercurrent of compassion layering her voice at the sight of his bonds. Her voice was as gentle and serene as always, following in the wake of an active Byakugan scanning him from head to toe for any slight or injury he managed to pick up from the hands of his interrogators over the course of another twenty-four-hours.
Sasuke said nothing, having little energy to be prickly or enraged. Not even when she disregarded the rules of his confinement and undid the bindings of his steel-clipped straightjacket and eased the fabric off his shoulders. The brief freedom in movement drew a shaky breath from heaving lungs, an aching sear of gratitude burning behind the seal of his eyelids as she traced blocked tenketsu and inflamed chakra pathways dotting his right arm.
"T-they s-should be more careful w-with you," She mourned, coaxing him to lay on his back so she could start work on his amputated left. "Y-you've suffered enough." Sasuke trembled uncertainly. He didn't like anyone standing on the side of his new disability, it went against the very grain of his pride and honour to concede to anything as he curled his only remaining hand in a frustrated fist by his side.
Hinata never once hurt or betrayed him before however, she always strived to ease the pain and anguish he was in—.
"I'll be gentle." The Byakugan Princess promised, fluttering fingertips tracing the edge of his battle-ruined grey sleeve as she finally managed to settle him down against a threadbare prison pillow. Kneeling concernedly by his side, Sasuke shifted his head away from the sensation of her palm on highly-sensitized skin as she seeped an iryō flush across severed pathways still very much alive with nerves and scarified skin.
"H-Hinata…" He hissed, the main chakra pathways in his arm instantly aflame at her touch as he stubbornly denied the hitch of pain in his breath and a heavy chakra mass constricting his chest. It was strange that he felt both safe and utterly ruined in her presence, especially when she brought with her sensations that both soothed and terrified him in equal measure.
"A-almost done." She reassured. "I-I'm sorry."
Her ministrations paused momentarily to brush matted black bangs away from his sweaty forehead. Blindfolded and aching with the need to see her, to reassure himself she was not just a figment of his imagination; Sasuke unconsciously dropped his guard as he nuzzled his cheek into the curve of her palm.
"Hn." The seventeen-year-old didn't want to think anymore, to breathe or ponder the beginnings of what this was…the empty scraping of his hollow soul and filling it with her spring-brightness and promise as the days mellowed and seasons passed, unseen, outside the brick and mortar of his damnable cell.
"Hinata." He called, his dearest Hime yielding to the roughened ache in his voice as she shifted her position and pillowed his head on her thigh. Boldly dragging chakra-charged fingertips through the feral mess of his hair, the chaotic grind of his muscles and tense emotions finally seeming to simmer down as she eased the seal-choked tenketsu at his temples.
Her watery voice continued to whisper apologies that she could not remove his blindfold for the next few hours, knowing instinctively she'd alert the entire prison guard to her presence should she come too close to tampering with the seal on his mismatched eyes. Sasuke himself, however, didn't mind its placement as much when she was a physical manifestation right next to him.
"Tell me." He ordered instead, voice strained and unused. "How is it outside?"
His Hime immediately obeyed, regaling him with fantastical tales brewing in Konoha since he last asked. The wintery-bluster was fading, she said. The first of the plum blossoms were budding in her garden and the family koi ponds were melting in the heat. That morning however, frost had dappled her winter flowers and swaying silver-grass.
It would be time for his release soon though, and then…then—.
Drifting in a heady contentedness he had long since lost, Uchiha Sasuke pleasantly shifted upward to burry his nose against her high-collar jacket as she eventually laid down beside him. Situated between them against her breast, the fingers of his right hand twined intimately with hers.
The mournful ache of his lost left arm sent a phantom reverberation through his soul, igniting a desperate need to tangle his lost hand through the moonlit galaxies of her hair and see the dancing silver-dust of her skin beneath his unsealed Rinnegan.
She was his surprise overture in life, the promise of salvation, over-fraught redemption and tentative hope. Her long, thigh-length, hair had become a watery pool of silk all around him as he slipped, unconsciously, into the savage waters of his subconscious.
And in this isolated cell where nothing but his thoughts and her ever penetrated, she guarded his dreams and pain as he slumbered.
If I could, please, ask my Honeys for a tiny review for my hard work, I would greatly appreciate it. It would truly make my day to hear back from you. Any comments about the things you loved, the plot or questions you may have...I would be happy to hear.
Thank you, as always, for reading. Please look forward to my next update. :)
