Location: Kodiak Island, just off the Gulf of Alaska
Timedate: 29th February 2008
Barely four years had passed since the feeble conflict in Tokyo against Kiryu and Mothra, but the memories still remained clear in Godzilla's mind. Over time, when most of humanity seemed to be convinced of his utter defeat, Godzilla eventually managed to rip himself free of the coating silk and the clutch of the permanently dormant Kiryu and climb free from the deep Japenese Trench. Afterwards, he sneakily swam across the Kuril Islands, and the Aleutian Islands just on the edge of the Bering sea, wisely attempting to keep himself out of any human sight. Approaching colder waters, the King of Monsters sensed the presence of another kaiju, a threat to the balance of power and nature.
Godzilla soon emerged from the depths with eyes grimly narrowed to see his potential foe in clear view. Just ahead stood a creature very similar in appearance to Godzilla; with dark green scaly skin and glowing red eyes, this beast had a pair of small fins on the sides of its head, as well as large and powerful talons. Godzilla didn't even need to waste a roar as his stomps were more than enough to get the rival's attention.
Hearing the deep steps, Gorgo turned around to see the king in all his resurging might. Slightly taller by a few metres, this aquatic creature howled an almost elephant-like roar before charging at the king. Just then, Godzilla swung around his tail and swiped back as Gorgo soon tripped over and fell forth onto several trees below.
As soon as the rupture of dirt and dust faded, Gorgo got back to his feet and shrieked at Godzilla, who in turn skreeonked back, determining his rule over other Titans. With the energy he preserved and not used on the roar, Godzilla slammed his long tail to the ground as a blue light emitted from the tip and moved up the dorsal plates until it reached the back of his head.
Gorgo then ran to the side as Godzilla unleashed a thick beam of blue-white atomic fire, managing to scorch a big patch of skin on Gorgo's back. Just as Godzilla used up the rest of his energy and began to recharge, Gorgo jumped at the beast, but Godzilla dashed forth and managed to leave a deep cutting slice at Gorgo's left arm with his dorsal plates. Getting back up again, Gorgo looked down at the gashing wound in its arm.
Its anger further heightened, Gorgo lashed back at Godzilla with another bellow, launching both claws and an open mouth full of sharp teeth at the opponent. Anticipating this, Godzilla grabbed onto Gorgo's surviving right arm with one hand, and onto its row of teeth with the other, nearly drawing a hint of blood. Struggling yet still standing and keeping his ground, Godzilla crushed Gorgo's hand and even slightly dislodged its jaw.
In reaction, Gorgo cried out from the striking pain, giving Godzilla another upper hand and shoving the enemy back down to the ground. Gorgo let out one last dying scream before Godzilla crushed its head with ease, bringing the beast of its misery. Slowly huffing from the heat of the fight, Godzilla turned to the sea and walked forth.
His tiny ears caught the sounds of distant cheering. He turned his head and soon saw a small crowd of people seemingly raising fists and clapping in some strange form of approval. Looking back at this, Godzilla realised how some humans out there do indeed have genuine respect for nature after all. Japan saw him as a threat, something to fear and shun, but these people saw him as a saviour.
The End...?
