A/N: I have to admit, my favourite element of Dark is the clash between him and Satoshi.
Disclaimer: I wish there was a way, but nope, I get nothing from this.
Looping over the museum, Dark saw the silhouette he had expected to find, small and feminine and out of place on the rooftop. With a muttered word to Wizu, he glided back down to land behind her.
He barely alighted on the roof before he declared, "You're going to make trouble for yourself, Risa."
"Dark-san!" she exclaimed, spinning around and clasping her hands as she lifted worshipful eyes up to him.
He smirked and tucked the painting under one arm, then leaned down towards her as he reminded her, "You should stay at home."
She scoffed and straightened her shoulders so she could stand a little taller. "I'm not worried about getting in trouble."
"Why not?"
"I want to see you."
The words filled him with the glow of self-importance as much as patronizing amusement, so he hid both behind a flippant, "You don't want to spend a night in jail, though, do you?"
"Oh, that will never happen," she laughed, and her amusement drained his own.
"Just because you share a class with the guy in charge of this whole circus doesn't mean you won't get in trouble," he said, slipping past her to climb up on the edge of the roof, his wings fanning out again.
"No, that's exactly what that means," she said, hurrying to his side as if she would grab his hand to make him stay, but she merely smirked up at him as she declared, "It helps when you're best friends with the brains of the operation."
"Well, then, he'll have to keep you company." With that parting quip, he jumped from the roof and flew back up towards the clouds, ignoring her shout for him to wait.
Hiwatari had a way of ruining everything, the stiff. Not even his own Sacred Maiden was safe from him.
