Chapter 16: A New Ship and a New Member

The town was confused as they woke up thanks to the fact Usopp didn't scream that morning.

Some even overslept…

After all Usopp had become like an alarm clock for them.

But none of them knew what had gone down that morning.

After all Usopp did decided to keep quiet about it.

So that made sense.

The crew was eating after their fight.

After all it was tough fight.

"At least we won." Said Usa.

"Why are you bringing it up now?" asked Zoro.

"I don't know…" said Usa with a shrug.

"Whatever…" said Ko.

However that was when Kaya entered the tavern, surprising the group.

"Kaya shouldn't you be in bed?" asked Nami.

"Oh don't worry about it." Said Kaya, "I'm feeling much better now."

"Really?" asked Luffy.

Kaya nodded.

"My illness was caused by my parents sudden death. It was because of that why I was so ill… now that I'm able to move on, I'm better now." Said Kaya.

"Wait… you're suddenly better after everything?" asked Ko.

"yes why?" asked Kaya.

"Are you sure it was your parents sudden deaths that made you feel sick…" said Ko.

Kaya blinked and realized what she was getting.

"Oh… you know what I think I'd prefer what I think what happened…" she said blushing slightly.

"Okay… you know what that's fair enough." Said Ko.

Nami nodded in agreement , while Zoro just sighed.

Luffy and Usa were confused but decided not to say anything about it.

It was clear that two didn't catch on the fact that Ko might have thought that Kuro might have been making Kaya sick on purpose to make her more vulnerable.

IT was better if Kaya didn't think about it and decided that's not what happened.

It was better that way…

That was when Ko noticed Katherine at the door.

"Excuse me! I should talk to my distant cousin." Said Ko.

"Wait they're distant cousins?" asked Kaya.

"They are." Said Usa.

"When she gets back there's something I want to show you." Said Kaya.

Meanwhile Ko talked to Katherine.

"So what are you going to do?" asked Ko.

"I don't know…" said Katherine, "Maybe stay here for a while… maybe do something else… I have no idea."

"Well… I'll talk to Usa… maybe you can travel on our boat for a while if you need to." Said Ko.

"No thanks… I'm leaning towards staying here a while… maybe ask Kaya for a job or something to get my mind of things…" said Katherine with a shrug.;

"That sounds like a nice idea." Said Ko.

Kathrine nodded.

Ko headed back into the tavern.

It was clear that the two were now on good terms.

Which in end was for the best…

"Hey! Kaya wants to show us something!" called out Usa.

"Really what?" asked Ko.

And so they all went to the coast where a ship was.

It was a caravel with an adorable ram's head.

"Oh a caravel!" said Nami in surprise.

"I designed her myself." Said a man who resembled a sheep.

"Who are you?" asked Luffy.

"This is Merry one of my other butlers." Said Kaya.

"Figures you'd have more than one." Said Ko with a sweat drop.

Kaya couldn't help but to sweat drop at that comment.

"This ship is adorable!" said Usa.

"Anyways the way to steer the ship." Said Merry to Luffy.

"You should be telling me!" said Nami.

"Same here." Said Ko, "Always good to have back up in this situation…"

"We also stocked it up with food." Said Kaya.

"Really! Awesome!" said Luffy.

"I'll cook us a really good meal later!" said Usa.

"Thank you much for this chip!" said Luffy.

"You saved my life!" said Kaya, "It's the least I could do!"

Before the conversation could continue they saw a ball rolling down the hill.

"Is that a ball?" asked Usa.

"I think that's Usopp!" said Ko.

"What?" asked everyone else.

Indeed it was Usopp who had a massive backpack strapped to his back;.

He was about to crash into the sea but thankfully both Luffy and Zoro stopped him with a foot each.

"Thanks…" mumbled Usopp.

They got Usopp off of the massive backpack.

And Usopp decided to say his goodbyes as the small crew got onto the ship.

"So you're leaving?" asked Kaya.

"I have to… like my father before me the sea is calling me." Said Usopp, "But don't worry I will be back! And when I come back I will tell you plenty of stories!"

"I look forward to it." Said Kaya.

"Come on kiss!" yelled Usa.

Both Kaya and Usopp were blushing at this.

"Usa!" hissed Ko.

"I couldn't help it! They're so cute together"! said Usa.

"They are cute! I do admit but don't make them kiss." Said Ko.

"Well I guess they're cute together." Said Nami rolling their eyes.

"Do you have to talk about romance?" muttered Zoro.

"It's fun." Said Usa.

Zoro just rolled his eyes.

"Hey!" called out Usopp, "This is farewell."

"What?" asked Luffy.

"I hope you to meet you again one but…" said Usopp.

"What are you talking about?" asked Luffy.

"What?" asked Usopp who was now the one confused.

"You're one of us aren't you?" asked Luffy.

Usopp's eyes widened.

"Come on! Get on board." Said Zoro.

"Come on already!" said Usa .

Usopp suddenly cheered.

"Just call me captain!" yelled Usopp.

"No way! I'm the captain!" yelled Luffy.

And soon enough they set sail to their next adventure on the new ship!

Usa knew while celebrating g she knew that she should make something for everyone as she was best cook out of all of them.

Back on the island, Katherine took a breath and found Kaya and Merry talking about Usopp and Kaya wanting to be a doctor.

She talked with Kaya and she agreed to give her a job at her mansion.

It helped that she knew Katherine no longer followed Kuro…

And so the crew now had a ship and a new crew member.

However what they didn't know was that next thing they had to deal with was something from Usa and Ko's past… something that honestly they were hoping to run into…
