Here is the first part of Day #5. I hope you enjoy!
*Royal Place, 11:35 A.M.*
Everyone, citizens and news reporters, were gathered to hear the Heisei Emperor's speech.
"As many of you know...my family has kept a private life. We aren't interested in meddling in current affairs. But as crime has risen, so has our concern. So it is time to step out of the shadows, and into the light." The Emperor announced, which made the crowd cheer. The Ninja were on the lookout, hidden in the shadows. Except for Nya, who was undercover in her civilian clothing.
"I don't like this one bit. If the Royal Family likes their privacy, why give such a public speech?" Nya asked through her earpiece.
"I think it's nice," Jay said, as Kai and Cole appeared behind him. "They're reaching out to the people."
"Why all the hate, sis? You just don't like getting gussied up," Kai teased.
"All that gold and glitter is for show. The Royal Family are figure heads. They don't have any real power, what purpose do they have?" Nya complained, due to the fact she wasn't a fan of make-up since she was a kid, with the exception of her pink lipstick, which she was conformable with.
"Their purpose is to be protected, as do all of our traditions," Zane explained to Nya the royal's family purpose. "I believe Master Lloyd has spotted something of interest."
He did spot something of interest. He saw, who he assumed, was the princess, with her kabuki makeup, and her white hair fashioned in a high ponytail, with a royal golden headpiece, and the royal family robes, which were green. He couldn't help be be mesmerized by the girl.
"Looks like he's got an eye for the Princess," Kai teased. which made Lloyd feel uncomfortable, due, to him, not being relevant to the mission.
"I guess green is her favorite color," Jay added.
"You do know I can hear you, right?" Lloyd reminded through his earpiece. "The Emperor is almost finished. Let's just do our job."
"We must continue to be vigilant...and always stay united," The Emperor said, finishing his speech, which made the audience cheer.
"Be on the lookout," Lloyd said to his team, as he started to look for anyone suspicious. Zane saw someone got in their pocket, but he was just taking out his phone to send texts. Nothing that stood out from the crowd, until Lloyd saw a light blue balloon, with the Sons of Garmadon logo on it.
"I see a..." Lloyd said, before being cut off by popping sound, which made the crown panic. This causes Lloyd to tackle the Empresses and Princess, while Hutchins did the same for the Emperor. The whole crowd was panicking in fear, with the cameraman dropping his camera. "Is the threat clear?"
Nya helped a civilian up, before finding out that the noise were firecrackers going off.
"Firecrackers," Nya told Lloyd through her earpiece. "False alarm."
The Royal Family walked inside, in order to calm themselves for the false alarm. But Hutchins stayed behind.
"You protected the Royal Family. You have their gratitude. You are invited to be their guests in the palace," Hutchins said, giving his gratitude to the ones that saved the most powerful family in Ninjago.
"No one ever gets invited to the Royal Palace," Jay said, as he and the rest of the Ninja caught up. "Are you sure he meant us?"
"It's just a palace. You've seen one, you've seen them all," Nya commented.
"We'd be honored," Lloyd said, bowing in honor.
Sorry if I hadn't updated in a while. I'm still trying to figure out my schedule for this work. But, so far, the reviews are decent. Again, it's slow, but it will begin to build up, by the time the Sons of Garmadon season is done. Just a note, there will also be some changes for a few characters in this series.
