This is the first part of Day #6. Enjoy!
Royal Palace, 12:01 A.M.
Lloyd ran out side of the balcony, after he saw Harumi's room was a mess. Lloyd saw a figure in dark green carrying a bag.
"He's got the princess!" Lloyd exclaimed, putting on his ninja hood, then chasing after the thief. The thief was very quick, quicker than Lloyd. Lloyd almost caught up with thief, and he jumped, but the next building was too far. Luckily, with his ninja skills, Lloyd swung on a few ropes, before grabbing ladder, that was about to fall. "You've got to be be kidding me."
Lloyd started to fall, until the hand of the thief grabbed him right arm, and pulled him up. Lloyd was ready to fight the thief after coming face to face with him.
"Who are you?" Lloyd asked, and the thief unhooded, herself, as Harumi. This had Lloyd shocked as he took of his hood. "Oh. Princess? I thought you were kidnapped. I was trying to save you."
"Was that what that was? From my vantage, it looked like I was the one saving you," Harumi said, pointing out the irony.
"Then who's in the bag?" Lloyd asked.
"You mean...what is in the bag," Harumi corrected him, as she opened the bag. "Food. For the less fortunate. Even though I'm confined to the palace, I still try to give what I can."
"But your bedroom. It was ransacked," Lloyd said, wanting her to explain that.
"Yes, I can be quite a slob. Thank you for noticing," Harumi joked.
"I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean..." Lloyd apologized.
"The Princess is gone!" Hutchins echohed miles from the rooftop. "Find her!"
"They can't know I left the palace," Harumi said, as she grabbed a jacket from the clothes line, and handed it to Lloyd. "You have to disguise yourself. Hurry!"\
The two then jumped off the rooftop, and landed on their feet, running so the royal guards wouldn't find the two.
Ninjago Canals. 12:17 A.M.
The two walked through the canals, and, for some reason, felt comfortable with each other. Lloyd feels terrible, as the people around him, were poor. Harumi takes the food out of the bag and gives them to the poor.
"Some things are easier to do when you're not a princess. If I asked my parents, they would never allow it. But these people are hungry. And we have so much food in the palace," Harumi said, which had Lloyd moved. But Lloyd couldn't believe that they were so selfish. But Harumi was a different kind of princess. She was beautiful inside out. Children rushed to the bag, wanting the food. Harumi, unhesitant, gives the food to the poor children, along with Lloyd. "Patience, little ones. There's enough for each of you."
After the two finished giving the food to the children, they walked to the bridge.
"Can I ask you a question? Do you enjoy being a princess?" Lloyd asked.
"Everyone thinks being a princess is supposed to be easy, and wonderful, and I guess it's okay, but a lot of the time it's really hard," Harumi said, explaining her life for the past five years.
"Tell me about it," Lloyd agreed, before realizing what he just said. "Not being a princess, I mean being the Green Ninja."
"We have to live up to a role that was bestowed upon us. We never chose these mantles we hold," Harumi told Lloyd.
"I know. It's hard to live a normal life," Lloyd agreed with Harumi. "At least I get to wear a mask, but you..."
"I wear my own masks. Sometimes painted, sometimes a kidnapper of princesses! Muahaha!," Harumi joked, which made Lloyd laughed.
"In my defense, it was my first day," Lloyd reminded Harumi of his early works. The two then heard a sound, and they quickly ran to see thugs harassing children, while Harumi put on her hood.
"We must leave," Harumi told Lloyd, holding his arm.
"These people have enough to worry about; they shouldn't have to be bullied by low level street thugs," Lloyd said, wanting to stop to help the young.
"Don't. If you try to stop them, you'll reveal us," Harumi said to Lloyd, trying to not blow their cover. Lloyd then noticed a familar logo on the back on the thug with short red hair. "What's wrong?"
"That's the same symbol I saw before. The Sons of Garmadon. He was my father," Lloyd said to Harumi, before wanting to fight them, but was held back by Harumi.
"No! You said it yourself. They are only low level thugs. They don't know anything. They only take orders. It's the person who gives them that scares me," Harumi pointed out to Lloyd.
"I have to do something," Lloyd said to Harumi, wanting to help the harassed children. Then, a vechile came speeding its way to the scene. It was the Samurai XVL.
"Or you can let Samurai X take care of it," Harumi suggested, as the mysterious Samurai X came out of his vehicle. He only appeared a year ago during the Time Twins battle.
"Step away from the pedestrians," Samurai X demanded to the thugs, with his robotic voice.
"Oh crap. Samurai X? Let's split!" The thug with short red hair told his buddies, running away. The children were cheering for Samurai X, which was their way of saving thank you.
" It's good to know the ninja aren't the only ones protecting Ninjago," Lloyd said, appreciating the work that Samurai X has done for the past year.
"Remember, kids, look out for one another. And stay safe," Samurai X told the children jumping into his vechile and driving away.
"Who is Samurai X?" Harumi wondered.
"I wish I knew. Princess..." Lloyd said, turning to Harumi.
"Please..." Harumi said, taking off her hood. "Call me Rumi."
"Umm..." Lloyd said blushing, but, luckily, Harumi didn't noticed. "Rumi, I should get you home."
"Yes. You should be home, your Highness," Hutchins said from behind.
"Hutchins!" Harumi exclaimed, shocked that Hutchins had found her.
"May I ask what you are doing outside the Palace?" Hutchins demandingly asked.
"Rumi and I were just going for a walk," Lloyd explained to Hutchins.
"Rumi? A walk?" Hutchins questioned.
"It was my idea. Please don't be angry with Lloyd," Harumi said, defending Lloyd.
"It's troubling to see you two are on a first name basis. The streets are not safe at night, your Highness. I must insist you return with me, at once," Hutchins said to Harumi, walking away with her, before giving a smile towards Lloyd, who was suspicious towards Hutchins' motives. Unknown to him, Michael, wearing his grasshopper mask, watched the whole moment, before walking away.
Another one done. Sorry I took so long. I was busy tackling to stories and dealing with school. I hope you understand.
