DEBT OF BLOOD

SPLINTER

The smell in the sewer den is negated by the scented candles Shannon brings him and incense to burn. A month after Splinter moves into the sewers Yoshi visits him again bringing him ninja weapons. Smoke bombs, swords, sais, staffs, throwing stars, spear casters, etc. "What is all this for?"

"A ninja Master must have weapons." He sighs, "Splinter there is something I must tell you."

"What is it?"

"Director Pake is dead."

"I know, I heard it on the radio."

"Baxter Stockman ordered the hit along with Admiral Barns, General Dolsen, his brother, and myself."

"Then you and I will kill Baxter and hunt the assassins."

He shakes his head, "No…I believe the Foot Clan took the contract."

"Then we train our own ninja…And I have the serum."

"Definitely not! Promise me that you won't use that stuff."

"I stole it to…I am lonely…I was thinking about turning a female rat…I…"

"And the fact that you have not used it, means that you have reservations."

"Yes."

"Perhaps we can buy a pet rat from the pet store."

MICHAEL

When he heard that Pake was dead and then two months later Burns, Michael increased his security detail. When he learned that his own brother placed a contract out on him he hired private detectives to find his brother. Then he got a phone call from Yoshi warning him of ninjas. Unbeknownst to Michael the Foot Clan had infiltrated his security detail.

He was the second to last person on the hit list. Michael is at home in his office. The phone rings, "Hello."

"Hello brother."

"Baxter?"

"Yes it's me…I wanted to hear your voice one last time before you die."

"Baxter don't do…" The phone explodes splattering his brains across the desk and wall.

SAKI

The Foot Clan operate out of a five, story building on the edge of the city in Philadelphia. Saki has a hundred Ninjas with him. He is training alone in his private dojo on the fourth floor, when Tatsu enters. "What news?" He asks chopping the air with his hands. Then a standing side split kick. Eight members of the Red Foot stand at attention. The Red Foot are elite bodyguards sworn to die defending their master.

"The brother is dead Master…And we have found Homato Yoshi. He lives with a woman. Shannon O'neal in New York."

Saki stops what he is doing, "Then it is to New York we go. What of the Scientist?"

"He is well protected Master."

On a private jet Saki and his Ninjas fly to New York. They buy a hotel building to operate out of. The hotel is on the highway into the city. They knock the walls out of two apartments to make a command center for Saki.

YOSHI

Yoshi is on the subway heading home when his senses go on full alert. He looks around the subway car. Feeling uneasy he gets off before his stop. Yoshi rushes up the steps from the platform and goes to a pay phone. "Shannon its me."

"Hello old friend."

Yoshi starts breathing heavy, "Saki!"

"Its Grandmaster now Yoshi."

"Where is Shannon?"

"Hurry home old friend and no police."

He slams the phone down and rushes home by cab. He goes in through the window. "No!" He yells finding Shannon dead on the floor, face down with a sword in her back, and lying in a pool of her own blood. "No, oh God no!" He removes the sword and turns her over. He lies her down and notices the note.

Yoshi

It is time to settle this come to the warehouse on camp.

With Regard Oroku Saki

Yoshi throws the note to the side and puts on his ninja garb. He takes a sword, a spear caster, throwing stars, and smoke pellets. He leaves out of the window and drives to the warehouse on his motorcycle. When he arrives he can sense ninjas in the area. He turns off his bike and enters the warehouse.

"Kangai Yoshi."

"Anata ga nozon de i ta no wa watashi datsu ta. Kanajo wa shinu hitsuyo ga nakat ta." Yoshi replies.

"Oh but she did old friend."

Yoshi draws his sword, "If you miss your brother so much, then I will send you to him!" The yell charging one another, Saki armed with his double pointed staff. Yoshi ducks and swings for Saki's legs, but he blocks with the right end of his weapon. Yoshi retaliates with a left kick. Saki stumbles and spins swinging his staff, Yoshi blocks, raising his arm firing his spear caster. He swings raising his feet kicking Saki in the chest. When Saki hits the floor he explodes a smoke bomb. Yoshi rushes into the cloud yelling.

After several moves, Yoshi's sword flies out of the cloud and when the smoke clears the two are wrestling over Saki's weapon. Yoshi kicks him in the side three times before Saki blocks the fourth kick by bending his leg. Saki headbutts Yoshi, but he crane kicks Saki's weapon from his hand and that is when Saki performs the performs the Sato Oshi strike. He hits Yoshi in the chest. Yoshi stumbles backwards spitting up blood and hits the floor holding his chest.

SPLINTER

Twenty minutes after Yoshi leaves, Splinter shows up. When he enters the window he stairs dumbfounded at Shannon's lifeless body. "Shannon no!" He closes his eyes, then he remembers Yoshi. Sniffing the room he detects unfamiliar scents in the air. Then he spots the note ad reads it. Splinter reads the message and calls the police. "911…What is your emergency?" The operator asks.

"Please help he has a knife!" Splinter leaves the phone off the hook. Before he leaves, Splinter stops and looks at the turtles in the aquarium. He grabs a sheet from the linen closet, scratches holes in it and takes the four turtles. He rushes to his sewer den and makes a makeshift pen for the turtles. Then he grabs the serum and pours it on the four turtles. When he is done half the serum is gone.

Splinter places some food near them, then he grabs a sword, a bow, a quiver of arrows, throwing stars, and smoke pellets. He runs through sewers and goes to the surface a mile away from his den. He runs from shadow to shadow, running at half speed. He reaches the warehouse ten minutes after Yoshi. Splinter reconnoiters the area and with his nose locates the hidden ninjas.

He kills all six with his bow, then walks across the roof. When he looks down into the warehouse through skylight and watches as his Master wrestles the man Saki. He watches as Yoshi kicks him in the side three times before Saki blocks the fourth kick by bending his leg. Saki headbutts Yoshi, but he crane kicks Saki's weapon from his hand and that is when Saki performs the performs the Sato Oshi strike. He hits Yoshi in the chest. Yoshi stumbles backwards spitting up blood and hits the floor holding his chest.

At that moment Splinter smashes through the skylight window. As he falls from fifty feet, Splinter draws his bow and fires arrows at the hidden ninjas killing ten, then he fires eight more arrows in front of Saki. Splinter lands on his feet as Saki, Tatsu, and the rest of the ninjas stair dumbfounded. "Master I am here."

"Splin…ter yo…u sh…ould not hav…e come." He weakly says.

"And you should not have left without me." He dies in Splinter's arms.

"Abomination!" Saki says, "Demon!"

Splinter stands up with vengeful eyes, "Watashi namae wa Splinter desu! Moshi watashi ga akuma nara, watashi wa anata wo jigoku ni okuri masu!"

"Ninja! Kill the abomination."

Arrows ad throwing stars fly at Splinter from all directions. He blocks with his sword and claws. The several smoke pellets are thrown at him. As the smoke engulfs him, eight ninja charge into the smoke cloud. Yoshi and Tatsu listen as their men grunt and make noises from stabs and slashes. The white smoke cloud takes on red mist. When the smoke settles all eight ninja are dead. Splinter's sword and claws are dripping with blood. The ninjas lie dead around him, some missing limbs, two missing their heads.

"Now Oroku Saki…You will die for killing my master!" Splinter leaps with his at Saki and Tatsu joins the fight.

"Master!" Tatsu says throwing Saki his weapon. After two moves Splinter takes off Tatsu's arm and spin kicks him to the side.

"Die abomination!" Saki yells trying to fend off Splinter, but he is faster and stronger than Saki. He slashes Saki across the chest.

"That was for Shannon!" Splinter yells. He slashes him on the arm. But in his rage Saki manages to disarm Splinter. Splinter resets and disarms Saki, who performs the Sato Oshi Strike. Splinter blocks the attack shocking Saki. He blocks it by crossing his arms in an X with the back of his hands facing and cradling Saki's wrist.

"That is not possible." Saki says in disbelief.

Splinter slashes Saki across the face. He howls in pain and falls backwards holding his bloody ruined face. "Now Oroku Saki…You die!" Before Splinter can finish him off his ears twitch and he can hear the police sirens approaching. He hisses at Saki, turns and collects Yoshi's lifeless body. Crouching low Splinter leaps up to the skylight fifty feet up and leaves.

TATSU

As they fought Tatsu puts a splint on his arm to stop the blood. When the rat creatures Splinter leaves Tatsu gets to his knees and crawls to his Master. He takes out his phone. "It is me Master Tatsu. Come quickly…The trap turned badly. Grandmaster Saki is badly injured. Get the doctors ready." Tatsu leaves his phone on and places Saki on his back. It was not easy. They hide as the police show up.

Then Foot Clan ninjas show up disguised as EMTs. They drive to the b54ase which has a medical center for injured members of the clan. "Can you save him?" He asks the doctor.

"There is a lot of damage…What did this?"

"Never mind that…Save him."
