ROUND ONE FIGHTS

PART 1. THE KAMIDOGU

JOHNNY CAGE

After the feast Johnny Cage grabs a jar of wine and heads to Sonya Blade's room. "What are you doing here?"

"Well you see…When a man loves a woman."

"Oh my God…The tournament starts tomorrow."

"What better way to get ready than a good…"

"Shut up." She says kissing him. "I don't know what I am going to do with you."

He smiles, "I have an idea." He replies before kissing her again. She lets him into her room and they start undressing one another. Johnny had never been in love before. So he takes his time doing his best to fulfill her passions and needs. He takes the time to find out what and how Sonya likes and she in turn fulfills his needs.

When their passions are fulfilled they lay in other's arms. It was the greatest sexual experience he ever had, but he knew better than to actually say that. He notices a shadow at the door and then a note is slipped underneath. He gets up and Sonya stirs, "What is it?"

"Someone left us a note." He opens it and reads…

Johnny Cage tomorrow at High noon you face Baraka…Die with honor

With regards Shang Tsung

He had read the note out loud and Sonya sits up, "Johnny." He can hear the worry in her voice.

"I have never lost a fight in my life."

"You ever killed someone?" She asks as he walks back to the bed.

"No and I have no intention of killing anyone either. I'll kick his ass and show mercy." The next morning they eat and then Johnny loosens up for his match. They gather in the courtyard with Shang Tsung sitting on a raised throne above his acolytes. Raiden sits beside Shang Tsung. When Johnny steps up on the platform Baraka is waiting.

"Today you die human and will feast on your flesh."

Johnny cracks his knuckles and pops his neck bones . He raises his right knee and then his left. "Let's dance."

"BEGIN!" Shang Tsung commands.

Baraka unleashes his blades from the back of his wrists and shoots a blade from his left hand. Johnny rolls forwards and steps to the side dodging the second blade. His legs, feet, arms and hands are bandaged so they offer some protection from Baraka's arm spikes. Johnny leaps into a windmill spin kick. Baraka dodges and tries to gut Johnny with his arm spikes by slashing for his stomach.

Johnny dodges by bending his body into a half bow, then he kicks Baraka in the face and follows up with a two more sidekicks bending his leg leg back and forth at the knee. Baraka stumbles backwards and spits blood. He roars and charges Johnny, they trade punches, kicks, jabs, and block attacks. Johnny is shirtless and Baraka manages to slash him across the chest.

The whole time they had been fighting Baraka had been growing new blades in his arms. He extends his right blade and tries to cut off Johnny's head. Johnny goes into a full split and nut punches Baraka. Sonya cheers as Johnny uppercuts him. Baraka stumbles backwards and Johnny gets to his feet. Using his jinsei power Johnny shadow kicks Baraka in the chest and down he goes.

When he kicked Baraka Johnny could feel several rubs break. Baraka lies on the ground spitting up blood. "Finish him!" Shang Tsung commands.

Johnny looks at him as the gathered spectators start chanting. "FINISH HIM! FINISH HIM! FINISH HIM!"

"Go ahead human…Kill me." Baraka says.

Johnny shakes his head, "No…NO! I grant mercy."

When Johnny joins his fellow Earthrealmers Lui leans in and whispers, "What took you so long?"

"Ha ha, funny."

SHUJINKO

As soon as the fight starts Shujinko sneaks away. He finds a guard alone and kills him. Then he takes his uniform, mask, and spear. Disguised as one of Shang Tsung's guards he is able to move more freely through the castle. He makes his way to a lift that will take him under the castle to Goro's lair. There are Shokan in dining hall feasting and drinking.

Shujinko sends the lift back up and sneaks under it finding the secret door. Down he goes to a secret chamber. He finds Earth's Kamidogu sitting on a stone alter. He removes the Kamidogu, "Domashi!" He says calling the mysterious Spirit's name. The Spirit had recruited Shujinko as a child and prepared him for his quest.

SHANG TSUNG

It was Reptile who found the dead guard. "RAIDEN!" The Thunder god appears after a lightning strike. "I found one of my men dead and your chosen one Shujinko is missing."

"Impossible…No one may leave this island without my help or your permission."

"And yet the infidel is nowhere to be found."

"I will set my brother Fujin to the task of finding him."

"I want him bought back alive Raiden, so that I may take his soul myself."

Raiden contacts his brother telepathically and tells him what happened.

JADE

The Ebony skinned warrioress formerly of Edenia, dressed in green and black ninja like garb has been tasked with fighting Night Wolf. The two meet on a bridge that is a hundred feet high and off the ground. Below there are spikes with the skeletons of dead bodies impaled on them. The bridge is ten feet wide, but one slip and you fall to your death.

Jade has a quarter staff that can change size at her command. She keeps in on her left bracer. She initiates combat by charging him, but Night Wolf hurls green energy tomahawks at her. She phases her body and they pass through her. She attacks with a powerful combo of five kicks, six punches, and finally she draws her quarterstaff. It grows from half a foot to a eight feet and she hits him nine times completing her combo attack.

Night Wolf hits his back and sweeps her legs. He leaps to his feet and raises his foot. He breaks her staff in half and then she he shoulder charges her after she gets to her feet. Jade hits her back and goes into a roll. She takes out a three pointed curved throwing star and hurls it at Night Wolf. She catches him on the shoulder and then spin kicks him off the bridge.

When she looks over the side, Night Wolf is hanging on to the side of the bridge. "Do you yield…Yield and I will show mercy!"

"I yield." She pulls him up, "Why did you show me mercy?"

"I am an Edenian that is why." She replies and walks away so that the healers can attend him. As usual Shang Tsung is furious that she did not kill him.

PART 2. THE VAULT OF SOULS

MILEENA

Mileena enters the main hall where the feast took place. As she enters Mileena is joined by Hurai. She draws her sais and attacks first. Hurai is armed with Iron fists and is able to block her sai attacks. He tries a front sweep of her leg to throw her off, but Mileena goes into a backwards cartwheel. He rushes at her but then she stops and throws her sais at him. He knocks the sais to the side and looks. Mileena is gone.

She reappears behind him leaping on his back. As he struggles to throw her off Mileena removes her mask and her hideous features. With her Tarkatan like mouth she bite a chunk of flesh from his shoulder. "AAAHHH!" Hurai screams in pain.

Hurai hits the floor. "Your screams fill me with such joy." She jabs the heel of her boot into his spine.

"Fuck you bitch!" He is able to say through the pain.

She picks him up, opens her mouth and bites off his face. His body shakes, his bowels and urine lose and he dies. Shang Tsung appears, "Really a Princess should not play with her food." She hisses at him as he takes Hurai's soul. His soul flies away and into the vault of souls where it will wait until Mortal Kombat is decided. If Earthrealm wins he will be bought back to life. If not his soul will be consumed by Shang Tsung.

SONYA BLADE

There are two matches a day. Mileena's match against Hurai happened that morning after breakfast. Now her match will happen after lunch. She had not eaten a heavy meal and is led to the courtyard by a servant., where Kano is waiting for her. "Hello baby. Did you miss me?"

"I won't miss this time. This time I'm going to kill you."

He laughs, "I've studied all your moves baby. I know you better than you know yourself."

"Things are different now."

"You mean the jinsei…I drank Outworld's Jinsei…So guess what I can do?" His glass eye glows red and he shoots a laser beam from it. At the last, minute Sonya dives to the side drawing her pistol and she shoots. She catches him in the leg and shoots his laser eye again. Sonya throws her gun in the path of the beam and runs behind a tree.

"You can run baby, but you can't hide. I can see the heat from your body. I'm not gonna kill ya, I'm gonna have me some of what Cage had."

As he talks Sonya build up her own power for an attack and when she hears his eye laser fire she dives to the side throwing her fists out. Sonya sends rings of pink energy at Kano, three from each fist in a row. He is struck in the chest and hits the ground spitting up blood. "AAAHHH, you fucking bitch."

She leaps at him and lands with a knee, but Kano rolls away and takes out his knife. He swings and Sonya leans back. Then she does a spin kick, breaking his jaw. His eye starts glowing and she reaches into her pocket and blows dust into his eyes. Sonya kicks at his knee and breaks it. Then she does a hand stand and wraps her legs around his head.

"No Sonya wait!"

She snaps his neck killing him.

SCORPION

After ages of waiting Scorpion would have his revenge against Sub Zero. He enters the spiked pit beneath the bridge, where Sub Zero is waiting. "Finally we meet again murderer."

"Meet again? Murderer? You are mad Fire Spawn."

"No you are dead! You just don't know it yet." Scorpion uses his spear caster, "Get over here!" Sub Zero flips backwards making an ice clone of himself. The Spear strikes the ice clone shattering it. Then Scorpion fire teleports appearing behind Sub Zero and kicks him in the back. When he hits the floor Sub Zero uses his powers ice the floor.

As the ice makes it 's way towards Scorpion, he teleports in front of Sub Zero. When he tries to kick him in the face, the attack is blocked. Sub Zero twists his body and foot, causing him to fall, but he doesn't hit the ground. His shoulder is impaled on a spike. As Sub Zero stands up Scorpion teleports again and reappears in the air behind him.

He shoots his spear caster again, but hearing the distinct sound again, Sub Zero leans away, sticks out his hand and catches the chain, the spear is attached to. He freezes the chain, the ice going up the chain. Scorpion breaks the chain and lands next to Sub Zero. He kicks, but Zero blocks with his left arm. Ice grows over the spear Zero is holding and he swings at Scorpion.

Scorpion ducks and uppercuts him so hard that Zero leaves his feet and hits a spike. Scorpion removes his mask revealing a face of half skull and half flesh. The hollow sockets of his eyes burst into fire. He spews the flames from his mouth roasting Sub Zero. He takes the charred body to Shang Tsung and is given permissions to leave. Scorpion returns to the Netherrealm with Zero's charred remains and presents it to Quan Chi.
