Chap 1 Our Origins
Professor Fujii had been a part of the SCP Foundation for years but was never happy in a site or lab. He would often talk about his SCP-001, the Sanjiyan Unkara aka the Founders. The O5 Council humored this by adding it to the various files for SCP-001 as part of its misinformation campaign about what SCP-001 really was.
Professor Fujii had tied his SCP-001 into more than just being the founders of the Foundation. It also explained why SCP-682 couldn't be destroyed - blasted thing was a Wu that had gone insane. The O5 council had even gone so far at make up the term "C7" - something above even Administrator and proclaim it the real Ethics Committee. The last had been a little joke. In retrospect it is clear they had no idea.
Then one day Professor Fujii disappeared. The only clue to where he had gone was a plane ticket to Tibet. Everyone feared that he had gone to personally research SCP-1529 or SCP-5140 and the base on Everest was put on alert. Over a decade passed with Professor Fujii's son, Fujii Yakumo, becoming a field agent who was sent to the Everest Base camp as his first assignment.
Yakumo frowned as a girl barely 18 years old walked up the mountain with nothing more than a staff in her hand. She didn't look like a normal climber and what was she doing at this base camp?
The girl smiled. "Hello," she said in a cheerful voice waving at Yakumo as she approached. "Pai looking for friends of Professor Fujii. Called SCP Foundation."
Yakumo continued to frown. What in the sam hill was his father thinking to give out information like that out? Especially to a young girl. Better yet why send her a place where there was a Euclid and a Keter wandering around either of which could freeze you to death by touching you?
"I'm sorry Miss…"
"Oh that right, Pai should give full name, first. Pai is Ayanokoji Pai." She paused for a moment frowning. "Sister wants to talk to you."
Yakumo took a tentative step back as an eye in the middle of the girl's forehead open. "A Sanjiyan Unkara?" he blurted out.
"If you know that then you are either one of who Pai seeks or a Group of Interest," said the girl in an authoritative voice. "I, Princess Parvati IV, demand to know which it is."
Glancing over his shoulder Parvati frowned. "Excuse me." she said brushing his aside. Turning he saw "SCP-1529?".
Pointing her staff at the SCP Parvati said in a cold voice. "I have been told what you have been doing. I am not pleased."
SCP-1529 took a step back. "No. Choukai said with the exception of Kaiyanwang Shiva you were gone. All gone," it said.
"Gone?" mocked Parvati. "Foolish little Creature of Darkness. We didn't just found the SCP Foundation, we are the SCP Foundation. As long as it exists we exist." Parvati's features turned cruel. "You need to be taught a non-fatal but painful lesson."
"You're bluffing," growled SCP-1529 as it took a step forward "You don't have a Wu with you."
"I don't need a Wu to deal with Gesu trash like you. Rei-Syou!"
A serpent made out of pure lightning emerged from the staff and rapped itself around SCP-1529. SCP-1529 than started screaming as electrical sparks danced over it. "Mercy, Mistress. Mercy, Please."
"I am showing you mercy. I'm not killing you," laughed Parvati. "Don't worry it won't last long. No more than half...an hour."
"Choukai, you lying bastard," screamed SCP-1529 as it turned and ran up the mountain trying to punch the lighting creature off. "You told us all but Kaiyanwang Shiva were gone. No matter how long it takes and what it takes I will find you and make you beg for my gift."
"As entertaining as that was I believe you have a question to answer," commented Parvati as she turned around.
Parvati then put her hand to her head. "Blast, that took more out of me than I was expecting. Perhaps the Gesu was correct that I do need a Wu." The girl, no SCP, shook its head. "But that is for later. After all despite crazy attempts to have it otherwise we can only have one Wu so we must be choosy."
Yakumo glanced over his shoulder. Where the blazes was the rest of his squad? Then he remembered another one of the abilities of this SCP – according to his father it generating aura of anything happening involving it being being normal. The only immunity to this was a deep familiarity pr interest in the Sanjiyan Unkara.
"You must be cold, SCP-001," he said, "We have shelter in our tents."
Parvati gave a short laugh. "Any of the GOI with a brain in its head..."
"Speaking of GOI, how is GOI-5917 "The Wandsmen" these days?"
"Of all the GOI why do you mention that particular one?"
"I know all about you, SCP-001. After all, my father Professor Fuji, wrote up your file."
Parvati gave a nasty smile. "Information easily obtained. We are something of a water cooler topic. Grouped with the other SCP-001s as part of the misinformation campaign."
"One of you is the reason we can't kill SCP-682. Until my father wrote up your file everyone wondered why
SCP-053 drew the Chinese character 无 on its snout. She didn't even know that it meant literally or metaphysically."
"Problem is no one has lasted long enough to look through that mangy head of hair to find out if it actually had the mark," Parvati responded. "That piece of trivia would be considered so esoteric that only two GOI and the Foundation would know it."
"Well, we aren't the Serpent's Hand or the Chaos Insurgency."
Parvati nodded. "Pai and I originally sought you out to help find and secure the Ningen no Zou. Given we created the thing I suspect it is Amida with major CK-class potential. From what SCP-1529 said it appears that someone is supposedly working for Kaiyanwang Shiva. Shutting down that conquest happy nutjub of a fiancee cost all the Hindu tribe their lives. The last thing we need is some crazy or worse the Serpent's Hand or Chaos Insurgency getting their hands on the Ningen no Zou. How fast can you get a full team up here?"
"Couple hours, Why?"
"Oh not an attack by SCP-1529 or the Ice Wu aka SCP-5140. Given what SCP-1529 said preventing anyone but the Foundation take possession of our Site 001 and make sure my fiancee keeps doing the Snow White thing is imperative and this is the closest location to that part of the parallel Earth Sazan."
"And how do we get there?"
"By way of Kunlun, and yes that is where our Holy Land, or what is left of it, is," commented Parvati as she took off her backpack and pulled a pot from it. On the pot was an upside down version of the SCP logo with the addition of three eyes. "I apologize but I am tired and so you will have to deal with Pai for a while. I wake up when the MTF unit gets here so I can transport us to what is left of Site 001.
~*~*Several hours later*~*~
The place they were now in was cover with mounds of three eye skulls. Up on a hill was a fortress like structure with copies of the symbol on the Kunlun pot. Standing in front of the entrance was a 20 foot stone statue of Anubus. Within 20 feet of the statue moved holding up the palm of it hand. "This is area is protected by order of the last of the Supreme Council. Turn back or be destroyed." Looking around they saw the remains of human skeletons.
"Glad to know this thing is still working," commented Paravai. "Guardian Anubus. I am Princess Parvati IV last surviving member of the Supreme Council. These humans are with me and are part of the SCP Foundation."
"Performing biological, magical, and mental scan to confirm identity." Moments passed. "Identity confirmed. Your fiancee Kaiyanwang Shiva, the Crimson Conquer, the Scarlet King is still contained through his life energy wanes. He may be dying."
"Wait minute," said Yakumo. "Did that thing just call your fiancee the Scarlet King? And why does it look like the god Anubus?"
"Yes it did. As for it's appearance he is modeled after the SCP-001, Anubus, that built him. Well before Anubus went totally peanut butter pecan orchard levels of crazy. Thankfully he took a trip to an alternate reality and has been messing around there. Anubus-1, what is with this new title?"
"That is what these humans called themselves, the Children of the Scarlet King," said the statue gesturing to the corpses. "They said there were here to free their master. Since Kaiyanwang Shiva is the only being contained within these walls it follows that is another one of his titles."
"Ok, did they say how they got here?"
"Affirmative. They said Choukai, a servant of Shiva's Wu, Benares, opened the way for them. I would have contacted you with this information but there was no one to send."
"I guess I overestimated how well the prison for Benares was made. Anubus, these human will be securing this site. I need you...to move the remains of my people to make room for another site."
"Will you need help building it?"
"Negative. As it is already built. We just have to transport it here."
"What do you mean it is already built?" asked a MTF member.
"Sites are in populated areas and given the amount of danger there is there moving Site 19 here is a good idea," Parvati raised her hand to halt a response. "Don't worry about people noticing that, Anything involving the direct use of our powers creates a 'everything is perfectly normal' feeling. It will be as if it was never there as far as they are concerned. The Sazan Collective Protectorate has been doing this for nearly 100,000 years."
~*~*About an hour later*~*~
"Now Pai and friends made sure fiancee still sleeping we go to important place," said Pai as she opened two double doors. "The archive. Things we directly responsibility for are called SCPs," said Pai happily pointing to shelves filled with scrolls in gold containers. "Creatures of Darkness or CODs, are there," she continued pointing to another shelf with silver scroll containers. "And items of Darkness created by either Transformed humans or humans who learned our power are there," she finished to the largest group of shelves filled with bronze scroll containers.
Pai cocked her head. "Oh Pai nearly forgot. Scrolls have four ban system for ease of identification. First band is level of authority to be able to read scroll, second is amount of effort to keep track of, third is how large of an area it would effect if it becomes a problem, and the fourth ban is how dangerous it is if misused. Colors from lowest to highest are green, light blue, yellow, orange, and finally red. Professor Fujii said it is nearly identical to Anomaly Classification System being adopted."
Pai walked over to the SCP shelf. "Ah as Pai hoped. Scroll for SCP-002, the Ningen no Zou, is here. Pointing to the four bands on the gold scroll case. "See all bands are red. This is why we must find Ningen no Zou. It was sent to Earth some 300 years ago to keep Shiva from using it."
"If she is right than according to those bands..."
"The Ningen no Zou is a Top Secret, Keter, Amida, Critical SCP that has been bouncing around the world for 300 years," commented Yakumo. "We have got to find that damn thing. No matter what it takes."
