Disclaimer: I do not own Familiar of Zero or Harry Potter, they belong to their respective owners. I'm not making money, this is just for fun and a hobby at most.
AN: This is a story.. So here is another chapter. I'm sorry this is being released so much later then I originally planned. This is my busiest time of year, doesn't help it's Halloween season and Diablo 2 R came out... Let me know what you guys think if you want. Man sometimes I regret not calling this story, Fawkes That Familiar Phoenix... Anyways, if you are fine with all that, please enjoy!
Chapter Fourteen: Classes Resume Part Three
"Hello, this is Fawkes the best Familiar ever speaking. May I ask who is calling?"
Breathing... Static..
"Hello?" Fawkes replies.
"Ah Yes, it's me... Had a bit of a bad connection. How's everything going for you?" Asks the mysterious voice.
"Fawkes is trying her best even today as always. I have a new master now!"
Fawkes preens some of her feathers. The weird call device floats in the air..
"That's great to hear Fawkes. I hope your new master is better than your last. Although that last one was entertaining, after all. Well in his own unique way..."
Fawkes looks confused. "You were watching again?"
"Things get very boring here. Please do try and keep me entertained..."
"Fawkes will do her best, yup yup. Seeya later big Sist... Administrator D!"
Click... Beep Beep.
'I can't wait to see what entertainment lies ahead my feathered friend...'
Fawkes distinctly hears the sound of a phone hanging up. Who was Fawkes talking to again? Oh well can't be important when she has the best master ever to serve!
'I wonder how sister Kumo-chan is doing? Enough about that thought now...'
No where did that pink haired master of hers go? Fawkes had only turned away for a moment, why did all her masters always try and run away from her. She's the best Familiar, don't they know that?

Franz continued to dust himself off. He was unfortunate, in that he was near the front of the class for Transmutation. His desk had shielded him from the majority of the recoil of the Zero's failed spell, but it had none the less covered him in soot.
"That, Zero, really did a number on the classroom. Eh Franz?" Franz crony spoke.
"Hard to believe that Zero beet Guiche as well. You think she was faking boss?" Said the other crony behind Franz.
Franz turned around, all of the soot he could remove was already gone. A water mage he was not. "She is not our concern. Besides she has too high a station even for me to interfere with."
"I bet you could get her begging and barking in a week Franz!" The larger boy tapped his friends shoulder.
Franz ripped his larger friends hand from his shoulder. "Don't touch me Josh. The Valerie is off limits. It's not part of my father's associates plans." Franz dusted his shoulder off further, more as an automatic action, rather then for any actual need.
"Well she is a bit on the scrawny size." The other boy, Jamie, leered. "Pink hair is pretty unique too. He he. She's sixteen too, despite her looks..."
The larger boy, Josh, looked over to Jamie. "That's so gross Jamie.. Maybe we could make it more interesting? Three is a party. I like parties..."
'These two disgust me. If not for my father's connections with theirs, I'd ditch them. Besides her blood is all mudded. How revolting.'
Franz sighed. "Josh, Jamie. Your father's expect you to follow my lead. You will not touch the Valerie until I tell you otherwise!"
The other two boys deflated as they were told, in no small terms, they were being denied a toy. "We understand Franz." The two bowed.
The started to resume their walking in silence, only for the larger boy, Josh, to interrupt it again. "Hey Franz. What is taking Guiche so long to deliver any goods to us?"
"Yeah he always makes excuses, fails, or flat out doesn't comply with our... your requests?" Jamie added in.
The stupid underlings were trying to think again. Franz stopped, turning around to face his friends. "Just like his older brothers, Guiche will eventually follow our every beck and whim. He might even come to enjoy himself, even if he can never truly be one of us. Besides if he doesn't comply, I here accidents happen on the battlefield everyday. Shame for Guiche to loose more family due to the terrible war..."
"You're so smart Franz." Josh elbowed him playfully in the gut.
"I know." Franz grunted, towards his friend?
"Not a word of any of this, even with bed company!" Franz scolded a final time as he turned around to face them.
His friends nodded seriously with sincerity.

She had passed by several students covered in soot and ash. Perhaps it was from a spell gone wrong? Honestly the way nobles went around playing with elements unnerved her. Frankly speaking, it unnerved all commoners such as herself.
What was even worse, was the way some students leered, and eyed maids such as herself or Siesta. Her new friend got a considerable amount of attention. She particularly didn't like those three boys which had openly ogled Siesta's assets earlier.
She thought she had heard the oldest looking boy being called Franz. But then again, she tried not to listen in on the nobles. Doing so could be dangerous, best she forget she heard anything. Why was this new workplace so out to get her?
They arrived. The classroom was a complete mess. Where had Lyda been dragged to? She sighed at that thought.
"... And that about sums up what needs to be done." Siesta pouted her eye's at the other mousy looking maid as she finished talking.
"This, it's a mess." Lyda stared at the many overturned desks, scorch marks, and even a few pieces of wood shrapnel laying haphazardly about.
"There's nothing we can really do about it Lyda. Noble children are really messy. Thankfully their still less messy then my siblings..." Siesta gained a faraway look as she finished.
"Siesta?" Lyda waved her hands in front of her friend.
"Sorry Lyda. I space out sometimes..."
"What caused this anyways?" Lyda said as a piece of the plaster ceiling fell.
"I'm afraid Miss Valliere seems to have quite a bit of trouble with her magic still... Still, I'm rooting for the poor girl. Thankfully she summoned two familiars. Though Winky just kinda came on her own? Winky is nice at least. Miss Valliere too, once you get past her rough exterior."
"Who's Winky Siesta?" The curly brown haired maid asked.
"You will meet her eventually. Anyways good luck. I gotta go help Winky now." Siesta started to walk off before stopping.
'Good she's stopping, she's realized I'm in over my head.'
Bumping her fist in her other hand she turned around. "I almost forgot. Your dinner will be provided for you in an hour. Chef Marteau has made quite a feast for the noble children. So make sure to get some while it's still hot. Seeya."
Lyda watched as her new friend abandoned her to this mess. 'I should have just stayed at home as a farmer...'

Kirche passed by the maid from this morning, as she made her way to the dinning hall. The mousy looking maid look exhausted, poor thing. Not that, the maid, was any of her concern. She did however like to keep tabs on any maid that potentially would be in service to her, even if she was only washing her clothes.
The dinning hall was quite crowded, and the food would only be brought out once everyone had prayed to Brimir, as it was sacrilege to skip on ceremony, unless of course under due stress, such as the soldiers at war in Albion. Though she hardly ever saw commoners showing piety in private.
"Hey Tabitha, how was class? Besides Zero trying to kill us all?" Kirche dropped in the seat next to her good friend.
"..." The bluenette didn't even look at her.
"You know Tabitha, we should really read again together some time. Last night was fun.. Well besides the slugs..." Kirche attempted to get another response. The cold exterior of her friend was still glazed over from this morning.
Kirche put some Ham and Sausages on her plate from one of the many small offerings from which their simple dinner platter provided. It was pretty close to Germanian food, and she knew meats were the key to good looks. Breads, deserts, and other unhealthy foods would lead to her becoming Kirche the large, rather then Ardent. She shuddered the thought.
"Tabitha, you should try some of this ham, it's simply Delius!" Kirche tired to get a response from her friend as she put some green beans and mussels on her plate.
"... Munch munch."
"Tabitha..." Kirche muttered. She hated being ignored by her best friend. Had the zero put her in a bad mood with her explosion in the classroom earlier?
"It was a good things you left the classroom Tabitha. I guess Louise is still the Zero. So much for her magic skills right? Where do you think she bought that bird?"
The sound of Tabitha's chair scraping the floor resounded in Kirche's ears. "Not hungry.."
Tabitha walked away from the table. Kirche could not fathom the complicated thoughts brewing in her friends head.
Before Kirche could respond, Montmorency felt the need to comment as well. "She really is a nuisance. Honestly I don't know why they haven't expelled her. Most be nice being a duke's daughter."
"Your right Montmorency. My family could never get away with being such a failure. Maybe if we worked together, our two families could pressure the school to get her expelled?" A brown hair girl munched on a homemade souffle.
"That might be fun, Katie." She patted the younger girl on the back. "I like the way you think."
"Since when did you two start being friends. She's not even in your year Montmorency." Kirche stated, already angered of the fact she failed to go after Tabitha.
"I've gotten a new perspective ever since I watched Guiche lose that duel. Men are disgusting." She bowed to Kirche. "Let's go Katie. Seeya Miss Zerbst." She licked her lips.
Kirche was disturbed. 'What happened to Montmorency the Flood?'
*Chapter Fourteen: Classes Resume Part Three*
The ride on the express had been pleasant, and reminded Neville of his youth... Best not to dwell on that thought... Really Hogwarts was... Well it was... His new place of employment for the foreseeable future.
His old school dress clothes raggedly fell off Neville's thin frame. Nothing like a war to thin a person out and build muscle.
Still his grandmother had insisted he wear these clothes to accept the position of Herbology at Hogwarts. The suit had belonged to his father, not only had it survived his school days of Hogwarts, but even made it through the war and subsequent fire. His grandmother said it was better luck then even a Felix Felicis potion.
That did no stop it from being far out of date, tacky, and an eyesore all at once. Neville loved his grandmother, and his parents more so, even if they would never reciprocate.
Walking past the gargoyle statue once again, Nevile sighed interally as he realized he was just on time. He'd rather not get yelled at once again for being late to a meeting with his former transfiguartion teacher, now headmistress.
"Good Evening Mr. Longbotom. I can assume you have made your final decision?" The scotish woman finished pouring two cups of tea.
"Yes'm."
It turns out accepting a postion at hogwarts meant more then just teaching, or even some simple paperwork. Oaths had to be made, despite them not being binding, Neville felt his former teacher would hold them to them.
He had also gained new responsibilites, to be a teacher, protector, and even guardian of his classes. Which also meant the car of all the greenhouses. This was going to be diffuclt, but he was also excited. The greenhouses at hogwarts weren't that much bigger then thoses at the Longbotom's manner.
"One other thing Mr. Longbotom. I would like you to go inspect the greenhouses, they haven't been touched or seen to since the battle... I'm afraid you may have your work cut out for you, I'm sure your up the challenge however." Mcgongal informed Nevile as he was about to leave.
"Anything else mam?" Nevile sighed, as he now felt like he was serving a detion, being couped up in an office.
"Yes, I'd rather not keep you very long, rather you not be ussing a lumos charm in the greenhouses after dark. Winky will be by to collect some seeds as well." She stared at the young man.
"Now be off with you, before I change my mind about giving you any other work."
"Yes'm!" Nevile ran down the circular stairs.
'I'm just glad he didn't trip down the stairs. He sure has grown Alice, Frank...'
*Chapter Fourteen: Classes Resume Part Three*
The sodden affair that was dinner, had left Kirche feeling even more lonely. She didn't even bother to flirt with any men!
Montmorency was a bit off today... Tabitha was avoiding her. The ham was burned... She still ate it. Louise was sneaking off to do who knows what? And she was following Tabitha, only for her to disappear around a corner. Well at least that's what she recalled she was doing, after becoming a little confused for a second. Why had she become so befuddled for a moment. She had lost Tabitha's trail. She doubted she could find her either, if she didn't want to be found.
She looked at her school notes in puzzlement. 'Confundo? Why had she written that, when?' Without a second thought she crumpled the small note paper and threw it away without a second thought.
"Don't throw things on me!" Guiche erupted from the trashcan?
"Well, I didn't know you were trash Guiche?" Kirche genuinely laughed the first time that day.
"Quiet down." Guiche tried to hush Kirche.
Kirche looked, and saw Guiche was watching a classroom door, muffled voices could be heard inside. Against Guiche's silent hand sign struggles, Kirche peeked inside the classroom. Inside Louise was apparently receiving a remedial lesson. How priceless.
"You know stalking girls is a no no, right Guiche?" Kirche smiled at the boy.
"This is none of our business Kirche. I have my own reasons to investigate Louise." Guiche stated from within the trashcan.
"Well have fun stalker..." Kirche walked away, not needing any details that Guiche tried to defend himself with.
Guiche meanwhile seethed at being seen like this. But the trashcan was the only place he could hide.
"Um, can I help you good sir. I feel like my job has come at odds with you hobby?"
Guiche looked up to see a cute maid lugging a cart of trash which looked like classroom debris. "Please pretend you didn't see me."
"Alright, I'll add it to the lists of things I didn't see today." The maid bowed and walked away from the trashcan.
'Louise I will discover whatever secrets your keeping! Mark my words, for I am Guiche de Gramont!'
*Chapter Fourteen: Classes Resume Part Three*
Sometimes Tabitha wished she could reach a point in her cultivation where she no longer required food. Unfortunately she still required food. Still, she could harden her heart and cultivate like the fairies of frozen cloud Asgard. Sure it was just a book, but all books contained lessons.
Tabitha's stomach rumbled. Why had she excused herself from dinner? She was still hungry...
Her friend Kirche was also doing a poor job of following her secretly. This was totally ruining her plan of going to the library for some reading and cultivating.
Quickening her pace, Tabitha got around a corner and launched a confundo charm at her friend, loathe as she was to do it. The spell was harmless enough, and would prevent her friend from seeking her out in the library.
Still the pang of guilt hit her, before she swallowed it down alongside her other feelings she suppressed. Or maybe it was that odd twisting churning feeling in her stomach? Wait, was she sick?
Tabitha felt like she was about to throw up as she felt squeezed and pulled, like she was in some narrow tube as her environment changed around her. Her legs and knees were wobbly but she manged to hold herself up. She had closed her eyes, to shield them from what? She didn't know.
Swallowing down the vomit in her mouth, Tabitha opened her eyes. Gone was the corridor of the academy. Instead she found herself in a study or office. It had bookshelves, lots of windows, and a large desk.
'Moving portraits!' She spotted several sleeping figures in frames. She did not like being watched, thankfully they all seemed to be asleep. Though she was not sure what enchantments had been placed to achieve the effect. It felt dirty, something like her uncle might do.
Looking more carefully she spotted some empty tea cups on the desk, they were empty, but still warm. She needed to leave before someone found her. 'Where am I?'
She gazed out the rooms windows. There was a lake in one direction, a large forbidding forest, a field, and greenhouses below the tower she was in. 'I'm in a tower, nay a fortress... What would Yunche do?'
