The war was over, which as far as Lana knew, meant that life was about to go back to normal. For her, that meant a return to the loneliness of her duty; at least she was able to fight beside Link, get to personally know him. He'd gotten to know her, and what he'd come to know he liked. During the war, he'd made a choice about his destiny, one that Lana need to hear.

The Zora race used to be proud allies/friends of the Hylians. When the Hero fell and the land was corrupted, the Zoras slowly became twisted and vicious. It was said the Hero of Legend managed to get along with some of them centuries ago.
