Reviews:

thunderofdeath97: We're not even halfway to the end of this series. Also...What the frick? His name's 'Bill'. It's in the title!

The Lion of York: Bill was lucky in that regard. But it's because he's a good guy.

Priest: *Shrugs* I dunno.

Here are some reviews answered by our own GreyKing46:

Priest: Eh.

The Lion of York: Oh yeah. He was VERY lucky.

thunderofdeath97: Just wait. Seriously we aren't even CLOSE to the end. Also... Wow, way to show you don't read it when you didn't even refer to him by name just 'male'

Author's note: Grey and I have already gotten these one-shot chapters and characters planned out for this story. Please DO NOT give any suggestions or plot ideas in the reviews.

We arrive in Star City, here we see a vibrant city filled with people going about their day and where we zoom into a sparring centre.

It was known as the 'Wildcat Centre for Youths', it was a place for people to learn self-defence and stay out of trouble. And no, it wasn't a wildlife centre for bobcat or puma preservation or the like; that place was down the road, just past the doughnut shop.

The place was a dojo.

And inside, we see people practising hand to hand combat and building up techniques and forms.

Inside the ring of the dojo, we see a pair of women in a sparring match.

One was a short-cut black-haired woman with green eyes, wearing a blue head-guard, wearing a white sweaty vest that hugged her C-Cup torso and a pair of sweat-pants that hugged her hips, blue padded guards on her hands and knees.

The second was a blonde bombshell of a woman, blue eyes, wearing only the pads on her arms and legs, a pair of black shorts that hugged her slender and toned athletic legs and arms, her hourglass figure was strong showing defined muscles and DD-Cup chest under a black vest.

And let's just say the former was not doing so well in this bout.

"Keep your hands up, Sam. Your stance is sloping." The blonde-haired woman informed the noirette.

Sam, the black-haired woman, lifted her left-hand side and threw a punch to strike her instructor, but was blocked and retaliated with a sharp kick to her side. "I'm. Trying!" She grunted.

Thump.

THUMP!

"HA!" The blonde-haired woman exclaimed, throwing punches and then flipped Sam over her shoulder onto the mat below.

THUD!

"Oof!" Sam grunted as she was pinned. "I give, I give!" She tapped out.

The blonde-haired woman helped Sam up to her feet and smiled. "You did better this time."

"Thanks...But I still got my ass handed to me, Dinah." Sam muttered a little. She looked up at the blonde bombshell, her eyes glistening in admiration and a bit more.

Sam saw the beauty and strength of this woman, despite being her student and she was her trainer...Sam had feelings for her.

She had fallen hard.

"Hit the showers, Sam." Dinah instructed. "You've earned it. Thirteen seconds past your personal best."

"Yeah." Sam nodded. As Sam walked away, she looked behind her and saw Dinah there, the woman she admired and wanted to be with...but what would happen if she confessed?

No, she couldn't do that. It would ruin everything.

"Hmm..." She frowned and hummed sadly as she headed to the shower. Luckily, she was the only woman in the showers right now so she had time to herself.

Because Dinah would have another few hours of working out... She WAS beautiful and a hard worker.

Sam removed her clothes after taking off the padding and stepped into the shower to cool off. She leaned against the wall of the shower and let the water wash over her, small bruises from training were being soothed by the water.

She remembered how she first came here.

*Flashback*

It was a couple of years ago, Sam was less muscular and walking through the town.

It was raining, her hair stuck to her face. She had recently had a run of bad luck. Losing her job, her girlfriend breaking up with her.

It was like a string of bad luck happening one after another and causing more strife for her.

'What am I gonna do?' Sam thought sadly as she just wandered, her feet just stepping through small puddles and her mind was in a sad place.

Suddenly someone grabbed her from behind, a hand covering her mouth.

She was about to scream before a voice growled in her ear. "Scream and I'll kill you. C'mere!" And dragged her away.

Her blood ran cold as she tried to fight him off, but he was far too strong!

'H-help!' She thought, her voice choking in this person's grip.

"I told you to-" The man growled before he was cut off.

SLAM!

The man was knocked down and off Sam, the young woman gasping and panting as the man was punched away by someone.

"Argh! Fucking bitch!" The man growled before the sounds of a fist coming into his face broke his jaw and knocked him out.

Sam fell to her knees as she shook, looking at her saviour.

It was a blonde-haired woman wearing a black leotard and fishnet stockings with black heeled boots, black fingerless gloves and a dark-blue nearly black jacket. "Are you alright?" The woman asked gently, leaving the attacker on the floor in the rain, tied up and left for the police. "Let me help you."

"Th-Thank you!" Sam shrieked, hugging the woman tightly.

The woman didn't flinch, hugging Sam back and reassured her in her strong arms. "It's okay. It'll be alright." She soothed her.

*End Flashback*

That had been two years ago. And ever since then, Sam had been training at Wildcat's gym to become stronger and regain her confidence.

With her saviour acting as her personal trainer.

Sam exited the shower and got dressed, ready to head out for the day...she was gonna go visit a friend of hers just to cool down. She did a quick check to be sure her bank account was okay, nodding.

"I'm leaving," Sam spoke to the receptionist.

"See you later, Sam." The receptionist responded with familial kindness as she left through the doors.

Sam nodded, heading off into Gotham. She walked through the seedy city, approaching a building called... Super Babes.

It was...IS what you'd think it'd be.

A 'Super heroine' themes Hooters.

As she walked inside, she saw various women dressed up as super-heroines: Huntress, Speedy, Hawkgirl with flattened wings, Batwoman. It was a definite place that Sam would enjoy herself in.

All of the women appeared to be in cosplay, sexy cosplay versions of their heroine lookalike. Some looked closer to their real version than others.

Sam took a seat, pulling out her phone and looking at pictures. Of herself and Dinah.

One of the pictures was of her and Dinah taking a defensive stance in the gym, sort of a 'Our First Day' picture. Second, was one mid-spar with Sam blocking one of Dinah's kicks.

Another was the two chatting while holding their sports drinks. Them outside, hanging out at a flower shop.

It was all...nice. Kind. This was Sam's help throughout the time from the attack, making her feel braver and more confident.

"Hi~, welcome to Super Babes." A Wonder Woman-Expy walked up and held a notepad.

"Huh? Oh, hi." Sam coughed as she got control of herself before looking at 'WonderBabe', one of the girls whose outfit was on the more 'accurate' side of cosplay

"Would you like a drink while you order?" She asked politely, seeing Sam look at her phone.

"Yes please. What's on the menu?"

"We have the 'Super Babe' Burger, 'Hawkgirl's Platter', 'Poison Ivy's Bouquet'; I know she isn't a hero at the moment, but we don't know any other plant-based heroes, I'm sorry." The waitress apologised.

"No, no. It's fine. I understand." Sam reassured.

"We've also got 'Mera's Surf'." The Wonder Woman-Expy.

The menu's orders were basically this:

Super Babe Burger, two double-stacked quarter pounder burgers with salad and fries.

Hawkgirl's Platter, fifteen-piece chicken portions, wings, drumsticks, breasts, with three dipping sauces.

Poison Ivy's Salad, the vegetarian option, any preferred dressing with croutons.

Mera's Surf; was various fish and shellfish with tartar sauce and a portion of fries.

And continually just various descriptions of the meals.

Sam had to admit, it was very clever how they stuck to their theme so well.

"Wow, okay...can I get a coke and a 'Super Babe Burger'?" Sam asked

"Right away baby."

Sam smiled and leaned back in the chair as she relaxed, thinking back to Dinah...and her heart was still on her.

The two had become fast friends after all.

'What am I gonna do?' She asked herself as the music played in the background. 'If I confess... Would I ruin our friendship?'

They had been friends for a good while...would she feel the same? Would they be friends if she said it?

Did Dinah even LIKE girls like that?

'God, I need a-' Sam sighed before a glass of coke was brought to her table.

"One coke for your wait, Miss." The Wonder Woman-expy spoke as she placed the drink down.

"You've got great timing." Sam smiled. "Wonder Babe, you are brilliant!"

"Awe~, thank you!" 'Wonder Babe' answered with a smile. "Your meal will be ready soon."

"Thanks." Sam nodded... Before sighing "Hey... Could I get some advice?" She asked suddenly.

"Um, okay. What do you need advice on?" The waitress asked nervously as she was asked this.

"There is this... girl I like." Sam admitted "She saved me... Possibly saved my life. She's my best friend and... And I love her."

"Ah, I see." The woman nodded as she sat down opposite Sam. "And you're in a conundrum about telling her as that'll ruin your friendship."

"Yeah." Sam sighed and slumped in her chair. "I just...I don't know what to do." She looked at Wonder Babe, almost begging her for answers with her eyes.

"Well, I've had some people asking me similar things." Wonder Babe responded. "Honestly? If you let these feelings fester, it'll hurt you in the long run. So, I'd talk to her."

"Talk to her." Sam muttered.

"Yeah. I'm not a therapist or anything, but if you're not honest it'll just hurt." Wonder Babe answered.

Sam looked down at her phone and hummed gently as she was given the advice. It honestly made sense...and it would help clear the air between her and Dinah. The heart wants what it wants...and what Sam wanted was to be with Dinah.

"Thanks." Sam smiled

"Any time." Wonder Babe answered before she saw the kitchen window. "Ah, your burger's done." She got up and went to procure it for Sam. She walked over, swaying her hips in a way to hope for a bigger tip.

Sam saw the swaying hips of the waitress and smiled gently. 'She's gonna get $20 in her tip.' She thought to herself. 'Well... An extra 20.'

*Time skip*

It was a day later; Sam had spent the majority of last night thinking about what she could...or would say to Dinah.

Not that she came up with anything in the end.

She entered Wildcat's Youth Center and saw that she was the only one there, aside from Dinah. It was definitely early in the morning.

Sure enough, the blonde was already training... She seemed stressed about something.

"Um, Dinah?" Sam spoke up as she walked up to her, seeing her use the punching bag quite heavily.

"Huh?" She blinked. "Oh, Sam. You're here early. What's up?" Dinah asked, ceasing her training and looked at her sparring partner.

"Nothing much." Sam lied, a bit worried.

"Oh right. I was just...Just letting off steam, I err. Something's happened." She admitted.

"Something?"

Dinah sighed and walked over to a chair, pulling two of them to talk with Sam. "I... Sam." she mumbled. "It's...tricky to talk about. But...you've been a good friend." She spoke up.

"Yeah, I...I have been." She nodded, sitting down. 'Oh god, is she going to 'Dear Jane' me?'

"Sam, you have been...I hang out with a lot of female friends." Dinah continued, taking a deep breath and looked at Sam.

"Oh." Sam mumbled as she heard that, feeling a little down.

"I...have been getting new feelings." Dinah continued.

"New feelings?"

"I'm..." Dinah sighed and tented her fingers in front of her face. "I'm attracted to women."

Sam's eyes widened as she heard that, her heart lifted itself from the sad place where it was. 'She...likes women?'

"I guess that must be a shock." Dinah commented, running her hand through her hair. "I mean, us hanging out for all this time-"

"I like you too!" Sam almost exploded as she held Dinah's hands.

Dinah looked up and into Sam's eyes as she heard that. "I...I beg your pardon?" She whispered.

"F-For a long time, I-I've liked you." She answered.

Dinah looked down at her hands, being held by Sam's...and she gently squeezed them. "For...How long?" She asked tenderly.

"Since...Since when you saved me from that attacker." Sam admitted.

"Really? That long ago?" Dinah asked in shock.

"Well, I had admired you from that, but, I grew fonder of you since...since we've been hanging out." Sam confessed.

Dinah looked at Sam with a gentle look...and honestly, it was good to let the air clear. "Sam...Can I tell you something?"

"Of course." She nodded.

"You know my identity as 'Black Canary'. There is...a team I'm a part of." Dinah began to explain. "Sometimes stationed in Gotham."

"Really?" Sam blinked. She had never heard of such a team

"It's fairly recent, we've yet to make any 'big splashes' but we're friends." She answered.

"What's the team's name?" Sam asked as she sat back down.

"The 'Birds of Prey'." Dinah answered.

"Wow, that...that sounds badass." Sam smiled and exclaimed with a chuckle.

"Yeah, I think so too." Dinah answered. "I'd kind of...I'd like to introduce you to the team one day."

"Thank you, Dinah." Sam answered, sounding excited about it all. "I've never met a superhero team before, this is gonna be awesome."

"Well, don't get too excited." Dinah responded, before hugging her almost laughing, excited that she had a 'girlfriend'.

Sam and Dinah embraced, feeling relief that their emotions were let out. Their joy and hope would have and the new adventure of a relationship...even though it was still on a high.

"... The team is all women, though." Dinah added.

"...Hmm!" Sam squeaked excitedly as she heard that.

"It's why I was stressed here." Dinah admitted, not noticing Sam's reaction "Since I realised, I found them attractive."

"Yeah...I can see why that'd be a problem." Sam nodded, scratching her head while trying to think of a solution. "Err..."

"Yes?"

"Maybe...Maybe we can talk to them?" Sam muttered. "Just so we can clear the air?"

"Clear the... Sam, do your think I'd leave you?" Dinah blinked.

"N-No! I mean. Oh god, I'm just overwhelmed. You're a hero and we're-kinda. I don't know what to say."

"Sam, calm down." Dinah reassured. "Let's go together. Okay?"

"Yeah. Yeah, that...that sounds great." Sam nodded.
