SargentEpsilon: We just wanted to change things up with Sam at that point. It was part of a 'transition period' Grey and I unconsciously were going through. *laughs*
The Lion of York: Oh, thank you very much, mate.
thunderofdeath97: How can you forget? They're names are in the title.
Here are some reviews answered by our own GreyKing46:

Sam and Bill DC One-Shots
Chapter 25

We do not own these DC characters. All rights belong to DC Comics. Sam is owned by GreyKing46. Bill is owned by GhostKaiser23.
Metropolis, a shining city down the way of Gotham City. Home to Superman, protector of the planet. But we are not following him today. We are going to one of the biggest companies in the world.
Lex Corp.
A place where jobs were made and where most of the smaller companies in the city are owned by this one company. From energy to mechanics, science and mathematics. This was the place where some of the best and brightest come to work and bring a better future...if you believe their PR department.
Inside one of the main buildings, we see a woman working at a desk and computer. She had long strawberry blonde hair, green eyes, wearing a blue business suit and white blouse.
On the desk was the name 'Lena Luthor' on a golden plaque. She looked on her computer at her schedule and saw that there was a meeting with the science area on their projects. She pushed away from the computer desk and moved towards her automated door with her wheelchair.
The door let out a soft noise as they moved, opening smoothly and perfectly.
Lena travelled through the halls that she had been down a thousand times before. To the employees of Lex Corp, Lena was a genius in her own right and known to be as stern as her brother and to cross her path was to give in your resignation. She headed into a personal elevator and chose the floor for the science labs, it seemed that the team there was making progress and needed some reviewing.
Science Department.
The speaker of the elevator spoke as it stopped pleasantly and opened the doors.
Lena continued to the department through their halls and soon arrived at a large warehouse of an area where mechanics were being built by more than dozens of people.
"Ms Luthor!" The head scientist spoke in shock, an older man with dark brown hair and glasses wearing a white science coat. "We weren't expecting you until later."
"I made time, Dr Brown. Now, show me what you have been working on." Lena responded calmly and with a tone of coldness to it.
"Yes, of course. Over here, we have been working on new home appliances." Dr Brown informed.
"Yes, how is that going?" Lena inquired.
"Very well. Though some small hiccups in the design process, we're ironing them out." Dr Brown responded. "Over there, in the medical section, they are working on more up-to-date machines for the hospitals."
"Of course, that's what you're paid to do...What about them?" Lena rolled her eyes, before pointing to a smaller group. "Does he not know I've arrived?" She pointed to a scientist engrossed in his work.
Dr Brown gulped as he saw that one scientist, a younger man than himself, in his late twenties with some shaggy brown hair wearing a white lab-coat and wearing goggles as he worked with a welder. "Please, excuse him! Allow me." And he went over to the man. "Dr Kane!" He hissed, trying to get his attention. "Bill!" He all but yelled.
"Huh? Oh, Dr Brown. Can I help you with something?" The man now known as 'Bill' responded calmly, removing his goggles and showed his piercing blue eyes. "I was just-" Holstering the welder in its slot on the desk.
"Ms Luthor is here!" Dr Brown informed.
Bill turned and brushed himself off a little quickly, before getting to his feet. "I'm sorry, I thought we had time."
"I made time," Lena responded. "Now, what're you doing that was so important that you ignored me?"
Dr Brown gulped as Bill stood next to him, he was a little shorter than him but it was fine. "I was working on-"
"Actually." Lena raised her hand. "That office. Now." She pointed to an empty office room.
"Okay."
Dr Brown and some of the other scientists gulped as they saw Bill walk alongside Lena. This was bad...and it was terrifying. Lena had a reputation for firing people on the spot if they displeased her...or made their work lives difficult even if they didn't. "Bill...God."
Bill opened the door for Ms Luthor as she entered first, being a polite person, it was just second nature for him. As the door closed, which was soundproof so that no-one could listen in, Lena glared at Bill. "Dr Kane."
"Ms Luthor." Bill responded respectfully.
Tick.
Tick.
Tick.
"AH! That was so scary!" She sighed, almost slumping in her chair. "This job." And she let go of her ice-queen persona.
"How're you doing?" Bill asked as he pulled a chair to sit next to her. "Are those meetings dragging on for you?"
"Yes, they are. God, my brother drones on at times." Lena sighed and looked with a smile on her face at Bill as she felt her hand being tenderly folded.
Bill nodded with understanding. "I get that. How have you been?"
"I'm doing better since meeting you." Lena answered. "Though I do want to spend time with you more."
"I know, but it's okay." Bill smiled.
"What were you working on? You seemed engrossed in it." Lena asked.
Bill sighed as he was found out. "It was meant to be a surprise."
"Well, I'm ruining it." She said seriously... Before snickering.
"Jeez, Lena." Bill looked at her with a chuckle.
"Don't make me pull rank, Dr Kane." Lena smiled.
"...Oh, you are such a tease." He responded, kissing her on her cheek. "Fine, fine, I'll tell you."
"Thank you, Doctor." She smirked, awaiting his answer.
Bill took a deep breath and answered. "Specialised prosthetics. For you."
Lena's smile changed slightly to surprise. "W-what?"
"I'm making a way for...you to get your legs back." Bill answered honestly and sincerely.
"Bill..." she whispered.
"I just...I've been working hard and tried to make sure it doesn't do any damage to you." Bill admitted.
Lena looked down at Bill as she heard that...and hugged him. "Thank you." She wept a little.
"Hey, no tears," Bill responded with a hug of his own. "It'll be alright. Besides...I've got to treat you to a date." He leaned down, kissing her softly.
"Hmm~." She moaned happily, hugging her secret boyfriend.
Yeah, you read all that right.
Dr Bill Kane was currently dating Director Lena Luthor of Lex Corp.
It was honestly...wholesome for the two.
One pretending to be an ice queen that all feared and the other immersed in his work, acting like he was too busy for any relationship.
And right now? It was working.
How they got together was kinda mundane, really.
*Flashback*
It was about eleven months ago.
Nearly a year.
Here, we see a Bill walking to a small cafe in Metropolis, thinking about what he was going to do with his time. As he opened the door, he saw that there weren't a lot of tables left.
"Excuse me." A voice spoke from behind him, it was Lena and dressed in some comfy clothes
"Oh, sorry." Bill apologised as he moved out of the way.
"Thank you." She responded as they approached the front of the cafe...and accidentally rolled over Bill's foot.
"Hnn! Ouch!" He hopped on his good foot to rub his hurt one.
"I'm sorry, I didn't see-" Lena apologised.
"No, no. It's fine. Steel capped shoes." Bill waved off, putting on a brave face.
"Oh." Lena frowned. "But at least let me pay for-,"
"It's alright," Bill answered. "Um...Do you want to share a table?"
"I'm sorry?" Lena asked, before seeing the cafe. "Oh, yes. That sounds nice."
"Ah. Good." Bill flexed his foot.
"Why do you have steel-capped shoes? I didn't think they were in fashion." Lena asked innocently.
"Ah, well. No. They aren't. I made them." Bill answered. "You see, I made a special stitching that-" Bill began to excitedly explain before stopping. "Sorry, I forget I'm not among 'science buffs' anymore."
"Hehe." Lena giggled to herself.
Bill got to his feet again and looked at Lena. "Um, what coffee would you like?"
"Oh, I'll have a caramel frappuccino with cocoa powder and an extra shot of espresso," Lena asked. "But I'm able to pay."
Bill blinked and chuckled a little. "Wow. Thanks."
"Are you okay?" Lena asked
"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine." He answered. "Just...kinda my favourite flavour too."
"Wait, really?" Lena asked.
"Yeah...Um. I'll. I'll get a table." Bill nervously responded and went to a now empty table near a corner.
Lena chuckled as she heard that, seeing this new person was a little bit of a goof but didn't seem intimidated by her, it honestly felt nice. She rolled up to the barista and asked for hers and Bill's coffee and then to the table where he picked. "Sorry about that." Lena apologised as she passed him his coffee.
"It's okay. It happens." Bill answered. "I'm Bill."
"I'm sorry?" Lena asked, before clocking on. "Oh, I'm Lena. I take it you've just moved to Metropolis?"
"Yeah, I just moved about a month ago," Bill responded, before taking a sip of his coffee. "Hmm~." He smiled.
"So, what brought you here?" Lena asked
"Work. I graduated from university and looking for a job." Bill explained.
"Really? What did you study?" Lena asked
"Oh, mechanics, engineering, computer studies and robotics," Bill admitted.
"Impressive. You'll go far with that." Lena remarked.
"Unfortunately, there wasn't much need for a guy with my qualifications." Bill sighed. "The only job that I could've gotten needs me to say; 'Do you want fries with that?' Not a good use of growing student debt in the hundreds of thousands."
"Oh, I see," Lena answered.
"But what about you, Lena? What do you do?" Bill asked, taking another drink of coffee.
"Uptight office job. Sitting at a computer all day every day and long and boring meetings." Lena sighed, taking her own coffee.
"Oof sounds rough." Bill flinched.
"It is, especially when Human Resources and Public Relations are breathing down your neck." Lena agreed, leaning slightly in her wheelchair.
"Jeez, I'm sorry," Bill responded.
"So...those shoes. You said you made them?" Lena inquired.
"Yeah, I did. They're my own make and a prototype. Good thing: they're comfy. Bad thing: needs more work." Bill explained.
"How does that equate to your qualifications?" Lena asked.
"Well, a lot of trial and error." Bill chuckled, rubbing his forehead. "Late nights and work. I can be...very focussed on my work when I get going."
The two continued to talk, as we slowly zoomed out.
*End flashback*
Bill and Lena were still in the secluded room where the two were talking and smiling about being together.
Their relationship was rather normal, Lena actually getting him this job. Why? Because he was a genius!
Bill had such a way with machines, computers and robotics, it would be an absolute waste if it was left to rot.
"It's great to talk to you, Bill." Lena smiled as she leaned against him. "You make things. A lot lighter on my mind."
"Any time, Lena." Bill responded, holding her hand.
"Love you." She smiled.
"I love you too." Bill responded and kissed her gently on the cheek. "I should get back to work."
"Yeah. I'm not paying you to be pretty." She winked.
"Very true." Bill agreed, having gotten used to her flirting. He took a breath and calmed himself down, getting 'back into character' as the subservient scientist of Lex Corp.
"What's the excuse this time?" He asked
"Hmm. You were working on that new robot design. I have something." Lena smiled and snapped her fingers as she got an idea.
"Then I'll follow your lead, Director Luthor." Bill responded.
Lena composed herself from her relaxed-self to 'the Ice Queen' as she rolled herself out. "I want to see results on that robot, Dr Kane. Understand?"
"Of course, Director. I'll make it my first priority." Bill answered respectfully.
As the two left the room, Lena rolled towards the other scientists to continue her review of their various projects.
Bill however went back to work on the specialised legs that he was working on.
"Bill, what happened?" Dr Brown asked.
"I've just got to show results, Dr Brown." Bill responded calmly. "I better get back to work."
"R-Right. Good work." Dr Brown answered as Bill went back to the legs he was working on. "Thank god." He muttered in relief.
*Time Skip*
It was after hours and everyone had left for home...well. Almost everyone.
Two people were still at work, definitely.
Lena was working hard upstairs as she was looking over documents pertaining to the science department.
She was working into the night, her eyelids heavy.
'Urgh...Why does my brother have to break so many laws and bribe so many people?' She thought grumpily, almost dropping off to sleep at her desk. She blinked, feeling a blanket being placed over her.
She looked to the side and saw Bill, exhausted and smiling at her and not wearing the science lab coat as he had it under his arm.
"Hey." He smiled "You gonna be doing it again?"
"Probably..." Lena yawned, saving her files.
"It's not smart to stay up too late." Bill responded.
"I know...but...It needs to be done." She yawned, looking at him...and leaned forward into a cuddled position on her desk.
Bill nodded, calmly pulling out a pull-out bed from the wall of her office, taking a seat on it. "Well. I guess I'll stay here. Until you're ready for bed."
"I told you not to install that." Lena mumbled.
"I know. But being at a desk all day hurts your posture." Bill responded calmly and pulled out a blanket for her. "And your brother is skirting on 'unpaid overtime' with all this."
Lena mumbled again as she heard that...but with her system and files saved to the cloud, she turned off her computer and pulled away from her desk.
"Fine!" She huffed. "But you're next to me and not on the seat."
"Alright, alright." Bill sighed and rolled his eyes, sitting next to Lena on the pullout bed.
"There. Was that so bad?" She teased before yawning.
"I know." Bill snuggled close. "I'm glad I'm with you."
"Same. I love you." She smiled.
"I love you too." He whispered as the two snuggled close and waited for the next day.
