Naruto is born to Minato Uchiha and after the Kyubi attack is taken in by his cousin Shisui Uchiha. Raised and trained by Shisui with the help of Kakashi, Naruto will have to face his darkness of being a Jinchuriki and the hated of all those around him.

A man was running through a jungle, following the path formed from a river that was there only minutes ago...

The now dry trench it formed was all that remained. All the moisture gone and left brittle. The man stopped in his tracks and felt his heart sink.

"But...how? You two were behind me."

The taller of the two laughed. They wore a black cloak with red clouds on them. That same one reached for the handle to a bandaged sword but was stopped when the one that stood six inches shorter raised his hand.

"We don't want to reveal that we've come out. Your methods leave too much of a trace."

The taller one scoffed. "And yours don't?"

The shorter one glanced at him to the right. The taller one saw a faint glow from the eye he could barely see, it was different though...it wasn't red like before from the Sharingan, but he couldn't quite make out the exact color. Before the shorter looked at the man they had chased. "Not anymore."

In the blink of an eye, the short one appeared in front of the man and grabbed his forehead. Pulling back, a blue aura left the man and he dropped dead without making a sound. The shorter one turned to the taller and opened his eyes, gone was that odd hue he thought he'd seen and only the three tomoed Sharingan that he was accustomed to remained.

"What did you do?"

"I have the Intel on the whereabouts of the supposed new kill squad. Let's leave."

"NOT SO FAST! YOU'RE AKATSUKI RIGHT?" They both looked to the left at the new arrival to see someone in Konoha Chunin gear. "Woah...y-you're-"

The taller one appeared and smiled "Full of bad luck!". With a swipe he slammed the sword into the Chunin's neck and pulled back hard, watching as the person's throat and neck was shred to pieces. Only held by some skin and what remained of the muscle as he dropped dead.

"Damn it, Kisame. Should have done that differently."

"Who made you boss anyways, Naruto?"

Sighing he walked up to the person and brought his hand to his mouth as he blew out a fireball to incinerate the body. "The fact that you lost to me."

Scowling Kisame shook his head. "Whatever brat...Anyways, how are you feeling?"

Naruto turned to look at Kisame. "You know something? I know they don't trust me, I get the logic in pairing you with me. They think you are able to counter me. That and you're the only one that has the chakra to try rivaling me...at least that's when Samehada is with you. Yet, your loyalty lies with me, why is that?"

Kisame was surprised for a moment before smiling. "So you knew all along my true purpose of being with you?"

Nodding, Naruto began walking ahead of him, as if leading the way. "Yes. That Tobi, he believes that I'm unaware of everything, he is wrong."

"Oh? And what is that?"

Glancing at Kisame, Naruto tilt his head slightly. "Find it odd why Tobi is playing a fool? Why he is making everyone believe that Pain is the leader of the Akatsuki? Why he wears a mask with a single eye hole?"

Kisame nodded. "Yes, rather strange of him. Especially because that's not how he was when I was recruited, nor when we came for you."

"Pain is his pawn. Once Tobi gets what he wants, he'll kill Pain. That man believes himself a God, and doesn't realize he's being played. So if that's the case, what does that make everyone else?"

"Hmmm, very true. Tobi can't rule alone though, he needs people with power to maintain his control."

"That's where we come in. This goal of his, this mission. The very motive is his secret...or so he thinks. You see Kisame, I'm telling you this for two reasons, one your loyalty to me is appreciated, and it's my way of repaying you. Second, this ties into why you got recruited to begin with."

"How would you know so much?"

Naruto sighed and ran a hand through his now longer hair and opened his eyes. "Everyone has secrets. I make sure to learn them, it gives me leverage should I ever need."

"Your honesty has always been something that I respect." Kisame noticed that Naruto stopped walking and stopped as well.

"He's an Uchiha. Like me. He has only the Mangekyo though...and only half. He's missing an eye."

"How do you know that?"

"I knew the person he gifted the eye to long ago. He's dead now. I have that very eye that Tobi is missing. His name is Obito. He's the reason for your village's civil war. He started it."

Kisame narrowed his eyes and balled a fist. "How do you know?"

"The Sharingan. Genjutsu can do many things."

"The Mizukage is...was a Jinchuriki!"

"There is a Genjutsu that can be cast upon a Tailed Beast. On top of that, he has a Mangekyo. The power of the Mangekyo is not to be trifled with. Yagura was a pawn of his and you were the prize he looked to gain."

"So why did you trust him?"

Naruto shrugged. "A means to an end I suppose. Besides, he was right...three years ago I wouldn't have been able to beat him. It is true, my reanimated father did a number on me, but that's far from the only reason why I was weaker. I gained a whole new set of power from my choice back then. I just didn't know how to use it at the time..."

"You do now?"

"To an extent. I don't know the full scope of the power my eyes contain."

Kisame now was confused. "How can that be?"

"I don't have just what you've known. As I told you, I gained a whole new set of power."

"You going to show me this power?"

Shaking his head, Naruto began walking again. "Not yet. But I'm sure you sense it too...someone's coming."

Kisame nodded and the two blurred away. Seconds after they did so, a toad landed and Jiraiya jumped down from it. He looked at the two bodies and sighed. "Too late..." He and the toad then jumped away and left the area.

Naruto and Kisame both appeared at a cave entrance. When they entered, their rings glowed twice and they sat in a meditative position. Closing their eyes and holding their hands in the ram seal. When their eyes opened, they looked around to see eight other pairs of eyes on black images of what they looked like...sort of. All of them wore their cloak so only differences in size was apparent as well as hairstyles or eyes of course.

"Was your mission successful?" a man with purple eyes and the circles that signify the Rinnegan said.

"Of course it was." Naruto said with his Sharingan active.

"What did you learn?"

Naruto closed his eyes for a moment and then opened them. "The nations formed a Kill Squad of sorts. Led by Itachi Uchiha and Jiraiya, they are supposed to be the best that the four villages have combined into one force. Objective: Extermination of the Akatsuki."

"What else?"

"Aside from those two, Sasuki Uchiha, Tsunade Senju, Might Gai, Asuma Sarutobi, Zabuza Momochi, Akatsuchi, and Gaara are on its current roster."

"They're mostly from Konoha." a different person said.

Looking over at the man, Naruto nodded. "It only makes sense, Kakazu. I killed most of the other contenders. There's plans for them to add to the roster, but it shouldn't be of too much worry."

"Even then, they are no match to a God." Pain said and Naruto narrowed his eyes ever so slightly at him. "Good work, Kisame, Naruto. You two are free for now, another mission will be assigned in a few days."

"Understood, let's go Naruto, I have an idea."

Naruto just closed his eyes and the two of them left the meeting. Pain looked around at the others. "Naruto Uchiha is becoming more unstable. I'm unsure if he is fit to stay in our organization."

"He's done very well for us over these years. His skills have allowed us to gain vital intel." Sasori said and it was something that couldn't be argued.

"Hm! True. Sasori my man has a point. Naruto's been a great asset. Hm!" Deidara said with a nod.

"Be that as it may...I do not trust the Uchiha." Pain said and released everyone.

Naruto opened his eyes and Kisame had a smirk. "So what is this idea of yours?"

"We should blow off some steam."

"How do you suppose we do that?"

Kisame smiled, showing his teeth and stood up. "I would say let's have a fight, but I know you won't show me that power of yours...so I have something else in mind...I know you'll very much like this."

Raising an eyebrow, Naruto said nothing and followed Kisame. They entered a clearing that had a lake. In the lake, were many beautiful women splashing in the water. Kisame chuckled and looked at Naruto.

"What do you have planned, Kisame. I will not anduct anyone."

Shaking his head, Kisame laughed. "No no no, we aren't going to do that. We're here for some fun, Naruto. Been a while since we've had time to lay back and have some fun."

Saying nothing, Naruto just gave a nod. "You're right...but that doesn't mean we should just sleep with someone every chance we get. Your hunger lately has been getting higher."

"What can I say? In our line of work, there's no one that would ever really love us. Might as well enjoy ourselves right?" Kisame began walking to the lake and dropped his cloak and stashed his sword.

Naruto sighed and said nothing, before touching the necklace. Shaking his head he removed the cloak, leaving him in a black, shortleeved shirt that was a v-neck with no collar. His pants were black and taped at the shins and ankle. Walking to the lake, he removed the shirt to reveal his physical build, having become stronger and more toned as he got older.

The next morning, Naruto woke up with two women with him. One on each side, he sat up without waking them and put his pants on. Looking at the women, he shook his head and sighed having no feeling at all. The actions of the long evening and night before were just that to him...actions. The sex meaningless and empty. It would be a lie though to say he didn't enjoy the act, just more of the fact that he never cared for any of the women. Then again, he lost his feeling and ability to care three years ago. Lost a lot really...

Leaving them there, he began to leave the area and sensed where Kisame was. When he arrived, he saw Kisame fully dressed and with food cooking. Naruto was just missing his cloak at the moment.

"Ah, you're up. Relaxed a little now?"

"I guess. We should move on from here by tonight."

Kisame nodded and gave Naruto some food. "Noticed you took two women back with you. Haha! You're such a dog! Then again...can't blame you, I doubt there's a woman out there who can satisfy you all on her own with your energy. Doubt even two was enough!"

"Doesn't matter. Is this what you're satisfied with?"

"What? We're some of the strongest men in the world. What more is there? Sex, a good fight and one day a great death is all we have in this world to seek."

Naruto stayed quiet and looked to the sky. "Is that really it though? You know something? Ever since that night, I am very much different, I know that...but it's odd to say the least. How things turned out. I wonder how this all ends."

"Are you talking about when you were recruited?"

"No. I told you, a choice I made gave me a new power...It didn't come without a price though..."

-Flashback-

Naruto finished giving his order for the stronghold sieges. "Kit your reserves are at 50%"

"I know Kurama. I have a few weeks left in me and then I can't fight anymore. I have a way to boost my strength but..."

"You going down that path, you might not come out the same."

Some time later after releasing Kakashi from his very rightful worries Naruto returned to the mindscape. "What is worst case scenario?"

"As long as nothing traumatic happens to throw your emotions off, you'll be good."

"What can happen, Kurama?"

"Total loss of your emotions. Following the darkness will lead you to be ruthless and be the killer you very well can be."

"I see...could it be fixed?"

"I am not sure."

Sighing, Naruto ran a hand in his hair and closed his eyes. "As a contingency, I will set a seal in place. After the battle, I will block you off. There will be a set of actions that will get you to return. All the influence I can get from you will only be in the form of recovery and healing. I can't risk that if I'm unhinged, that I could still use you."

"Even if you do that, stopping you is no easy task."

"I'm aware...thats where the criteria to unblock you is in place."

"What is in place?"

"It doesn't matter right now but if it does happen..."

-Flashback End-

"That's where my memory ends. After that, I remember losing someone I cared about in Kakashi and the rest is history. I destroyed Kumo and eventually led to the point where I was recruited."

"So that's why you haven't used its chakra at all. Then again, if you did, it would raise many alarms."

"More or less."

Kisame took another bite from the meat and looked into the fire. "So you have no emotions? But you are capable of appreciating things..."

"I don't feel it, but I acknowledge it. The main emotion I lost is my ability to care for anything or anyone. Not exactly kind..."

"It would seem that your negative emotions have been dialed up."

Naruto looked into the fire and laughed a bit. "The power granted by the Sharingan is two sided. For all the power you gain, you must lose so much...a twisted and evil power it is. For the clan that holds the most love, we are driven to hatred, and anger. Suffering...those all strengthen us. For an Uchiha to not have so much hate, or pain or suffering...they are developed slower and are more stable."

"Then the reverse is possible as well...is that why you were as strong as you were?"

"Yes. Being a Jinchuriki, forces a deep hate to be sent to me. I always did what I thought was right, sacrificing many things for someone else to be happy. The loss and pain, anger I had so young had me awaken both the Sharingan and Mangekyo younger than anyone else. Those two powers only enhance the current feelings I held at the time. Then I received the eternal light, and everything fell into place. My anger, hate, suffering all reached a peak at once and I was put into a war. With more suffering and pain to be given, and the hate and anger I had for myself only grew exponentially...I grew desperate as I continued to weaken because of an illness, so I made the choice, to stop walking the path of light and dark, go all in with the darkness within me, so that I could still help... Now I am as you see today. Emotionless...I have nothing now, I lost it all, but I have that power any would slaughter millions for...it means nothing. This life means nothing. Reality is truly a cruel being and with my lack of emotion, I always question, what is the point to everything? What is the point to love, to hate, to fight and to quit? There is no point in anything in this life."

"For someone emotionless, you have quite a lot of emotion in that."

Naruto laughed and shook his head. "I always questioned those things. Just the loss of emotion has given perspective on it all."

Kisame nodded and looked at Naruto. "Maybe you should go fuck a few more of those girls before we leave...you're getting too depressing."

"That reminds me, why have you gotten these urges as much this past year? When we first teamed up I thought you didn't care at all for sex...then that all changed and we were going out every chance we had..."

"It's complicated. Just stop acting like you don't enjoy it."

"Never said that. Anyways, we should get moving."

The two stood up and began walking through the forest. They walked silently for hours when they heard leaves crunch behind them. Kisame turned around and saw three shinobi, Naruto though didn't turn at all.

"What do we have here? Two Akatsuki...So you're on the move now eh? Seems Hokage-sama was right that it would be three years before anything."

"Who might you be?" Kisame said.

"I'm Baki, and these two are Daka and Lan."

"Leave us...and you can live." Naruto said, still without facing them.

"Who are you?" Baki said. "You seem familiar..."

Naruto turned around with his eyes closed before opening them to show his Sharingan. "That's because you saw me fight..."

"N-N-Naruto...w-what are you d-doing here?"

"Where did all that confidence go?" Naruto said with a small smirk.

"Stop being a wuss, Baki! We got this!" Daka said and charged alongside Lan. They both shoved a kunai into Naruto's chest with a smile. "See! We got his ass!"

Naruto's eyes widened in shock and coughed. He looked down at his chest before looking back up at the two. He coughed again but rather than blood, black feathers came out. A caw from a crow was heard before they noticed him burst into black feathers...

"You almost had me...not!" Naruto appeared beside Lan, about to stab at him but Lan managed to duck and stab into Naruto's heart...however again the caw of a crow was heard as he burst into feathers again. "Ooo...that was close..."

"Where are you?" The two said nervously.

Baki walked up to them and was taking deep breaths to calm his nerves. He had a kunai out and he gathered their attention. "Be careful...I watched him fight three Kages and Jinchurikis alone...one mistake and its all over before we know it!"

They all went in a triangular formation, backs facing eachother as they waited. Shuriken came flying at all three of them and they managed to block them all. Kisame was just standing there watching which seemed odd to them but they took it as a blessing. Naruto came out and went for a kick at Daka that got ducked, and Lan went for a punch but Naruto blurred away, appearing behind him. Before Lan got stabbed in the spinal cord, Baki delivered a hard punch at Naruto, knocking him down.

Taking that opportunity, the three all went to stab him but again, that crow caw was heard from two different locations, and he burst into feathers.

"What the hell is going on?" Lan said frantically.

"I don't know. I never saw him do this..." Baki said before getting up and taking a breath. "We must remain calm..."

"How about I let you go..." Naruto said. Out of nowhere everything changed, they were back to facing both Naruto and Kisame. It was like nothing that just happened actually happened. Daka and Lan both dropped to their knees panting before collapsing and passing out. Baki wasn't passing out but he was clearly done.

"W-What was that?"

Naruto locked eyes with Baki showing that three tomoed Sharingan. In that moment it was very clear what happened as an image of a large Sharingan flashed before him, blocking the view of Naruto and a sound that seemed like a screech was heard. They were all put in a Genjutsu and the fight never actually happened or started...and yet...they all were defeated. Naruto never even had to lift a finger...he played with them.

"You gonna kill us now?"

Naruto appeared directly in front of Baki and forced him to his knees. "Go back, inform them of this!" He pushed Baki back and it made him fall flat on his back, having no strength to fight it, he just layed there defeated.

"Why aren't you killing us?"

Naruto said nothing and walked to Kisame. "Let's go." With a nod, the two departed leaving the three behind.

Baki was so confused but took it as it was. After a while, he managed to get himself up. Grabbing the other two, he huffed as he began to shunshin to Konoha. Them being in Fire Country made the trip not take too long since Konoha was not far away at all. They appeared in the Hokage's office and he was breathing heavily.

"What happened?" Hiruzen said as he stood up.

"It was...the Akatsuki." Baki said out of breath.

"They're on the move? How did you guys escape?" a female said. She was pretty young and very beautiful as she'd be any man's fantasy. Black hair flowed down to her mid back and she had black eyes.

"We didn't...he let us...go."

"Who?" Hiruzen said.

"Naruto...Uchiha."

"Naruto-kun...he's back?" Hiruzen said and sat back in his chair surprised. His heart sunk and he looked down at the desk.

"What's he doing back here? What did he want?" The girl said clenching a fist. "All this time, no sightings of him, now he comes out of nowhere and fights you three?"

"Easy, Sasuki. We knew that he and the Akatsuki would be active again."

"This is Naruto we're talking about, Itachi! He's not just some random missing nin!" She said as she looked to the ground.

"Be that as it may...Baki, what can you say about what happened?" Itachi said, having his arms crossed across his chest.

"He played with us. We were in a Genjutsu the whole fight. He could have killed us at any moment and yet...he didn't. He wanted us to return and inform you. He's gotten taller, he seems so powerful...to have not done a single thing but turn to us and we were done...no one can possibly stand a chance against him!"

The room was silent. Other than Hiruzen, Itachi and Sasuki, the reanimated Kages with Asuma and Gai had been been in the room as well. No one was able to say a thing. They all knew Naruto was truly great at Genjutsu, but to be this great as to not even flinch a bit. Just turned and three Jonin were defeated like trash. This was worrying.

The hope and thoughts was that Naruto would spend three years trying to regain strength to where it had been...this sounded like he surpassed that power greatly! If that was the case...was all the training everyone had done been for nothing? Was this going to be it?

No one could bring themselves to speak until Hiruzen sighed deeply. "Tobirama-sensei...with all you know of the Uchiha...is there anything we can do to get Naruto-kun back?"

Tobirama had his arms crossed and closed his eyes. "Tell me, Saru. Why do you wish to help this Uchiha given what he's done? He very well may just be worse than Madara!"

"Relax, Tobirama!"

"No, elder brother! Your friendship with that damned Madara blinded you to the actions he'd been taking!"

"Stop, Senseis. I want to help Naruto-kun because he's had a great deal of suffering. His whole life has been nothing but pain and suffering from loss and hate. I allowed myself to believe he was ok when the whole time he was faking and sinking. Add the pressure the war forced on him...I can't forgive myself and I need to make it right."

Tobirama sighed and went to pat Hiruzen's shoulder. "Look, Saru...there may not be a way. This doesn't seem like the Uchiha's curse of hatred...so I don't know how. For that curse the opposite would be necessary in being love...but...this, I don't know. I know it's hard but you're-"

"Hokage I know...I will always do what I must for Konoha...I just...I just want to see him back with us one day!" Hiruzen for the first time anyone ever saw began to nearly cry. He always was very strong willed, confident and a composed leader. Never showing his sadness or fear. It was very new to see this side of him.

Tobirama nodded and sighed deeply. "I understand your feelings, I really do. He's a most powerful and terrifying shinobi. You can try to help him...but...you have to do what you must."

"This raises the question though. If we all faced him, what about the reanimated Kages? Naruto-kun had placed the Kotoamatsukami on them to begin with...he could easily have them turn on us." Itachi said with his eyes closed.

"Then we can't face him unless truly necessary." Minato said. "My nephew had told me of that Jutsu one time but I don't know it's full capabilities. Especially because Shisui was limited to how much he could use it. Naruto doesn't seem to have that same problem and has used it in ways I didn't know possible."

Itachi gave a nod and opened his eyes. "The Jutsu doesn't require eye contact at all. He can place someone under its influence without even looking at his target. Then there are his other variants. One of his most dangerous Genjutsu...or at least that we know of is based on a Kotoamatsukami variant that destroys the mind, killing the victim. Then there's his blinding and disorienting variant...then the one he used on you three, the mind control."

"So how do we beat someone like that? Especially when we haven't even spoken of his Ninjutsu. Surely that's also gotten drastically worse for us." Baki said with a frown. He was finding it very hard to feel any hope.

"If we can take out the other Akatsuki members, then we can isolate him and create a plan." Sasuki said as she looked at no one in particular, just staring into space. "Everyone and everything has a weakness, he always said that himself that nothing was truly perfect. We just need to find his."

Hiruzen exhaled sharply and shook his head. "Funnily enough, that's the thing with Naruto-kun...there is almost no weakness that can be exploited."

"So what? We've lost then?" Sasuki said getting angrier.

"No...I said almost. I have a way, but doing it won't be easy at all...first we need to focus on other issues right now."

"This raises a question though. S ranked missing nins wouldn't follow orders from someone weaker than them. Given that Naruto is just a member of the Akatsuki. Wouldn't that mean that the leader is stronger than even him?" Baki said and worry rose even more in the room. The worry was all about Naruto's strength but if someone was stronger than him...

"He could just be using them. He said three years ago that he couldn't take on the four nations alone." Sasuki said which brought them back up a little.

"That was three years ago though...and he's stronger now...he destroyed a village alone back then...what now?" Baki said and brought the mood down again.

"Whatever it may be, we will fight and protect this village...this world. That's our duty as shinobi!" Minato said although being conflicted, he had the resolve to ensure the safety of those around him.

-200 Miles Away From Konoha-

Naruto led Kisame to their new hideout. The nearest village was thirty miles away and was small. It was a little fishing town settled by a large lake. Every location they went to, Naruto always ensured they had advantages. With the massive lake beside them and the village on the otherside of it, Kisame had all the water he could like to use for his Jutsu. Coupled with his own lightning or red lightning variant when using his Mangekyo, the two were a formidable duo.

That's what helped them during missions and against any pursuers. Granted, Genjutsu alone could handle nearly anyone. When the time came to really fight, the two were unstoppable together.

Naruto went through handsigns and slammed his hand on the ground. "Summoning Jutsu." Nothing came and he smirked. "Figured he'd do that. No matter, I was just curious."

"Don't you need the Summoning Contract to use your Senjutsu?"

Turning to Kisame he smirked and shook his head. "No, I already learned the process of entering Sage Mode so I don't need the Contract. Still it can be handy, however, I don't need those toads anymore..."

Kisame said nothing as he watched Naruto do a familiar set of handsigns and slammed his hands to the ground. In a puff of smoke, a small cabin appeared where they were and he sighed entering it. Setting Samehada down, he sat in a chair at a table by the kitchen. "I'll be honest, I'm glad you were my partner, we've been far more comfortable than any of the others."

"Rest is important. Sealing away this cabin helps that. There's nothing required of us, I'm going to bed." Naruto turned to one of the rooms. "Wake me, should you need me."

Kisame nodded. For the past year and a half this was a usual occurrence. The first year and a half, Naruto trained relentlessly and had regained his strength and more. To say Kisame was impressed was an understatement. He never saw such power before. Even going to his max...Kisame felt tiny in comparison. That was where things changed though.

One night he'd left the cave they were in because Naruto hadn't been there. When he exited, he saw a bright light of purple and white mixed together with black, flash through the tree line. Running as fast as possible expecting a battle, he came to see Naruto standing alone and look right at him. That was the first time he noticed an odd color coming from Naruto's eyes. He didn't get a good look as almost immediately, Naruto dropped to the ground unconscious and was asleep for two days before Kisame finally woke him.

The next time he slept like that, Naruto was asleep for a week until Kisame woke him. It became apparent that something changed. However the third and subsequent times afterwards came after a fight or mission where Naruto did some weird things...weird to him at least. Naruto would sleep endlessly until awoken by Kisame. The weird thing as in what he did to that ninja where the aura left him...that was only one of the things he'd seen Naruto do before and that's how he expected this.

They didn't rest afterwards because, Naruto had "fought" after and then they had their little night. Pain said they'd have a while to be off, so he was going to let Naruto sleep for at least three days. It still made him wonder what caused this type of exhaustion in his partner. He'd saw Naruto go all out and push his power and never was he that exhausted, not until after that night.

Naruto stood by the bed and brought his right hand up over his closed eyes. His thumb placed against his right eye, his index and middle finger on the left with the others curled into his palm. With a sigh he spoke. "My body still can't handle it so well...how much more time?" Laying on the bed he kept his eyes closed and quickly drift into his endless sleep, that is until he's awoken.

Kisame in the meantime wondered what to do. He couldn't stray too far...well he could but he didn't want to risk the off chance they were found. Not wanting to risk Naruto being vulnerable, granted that kid had some major wrath when someone other than him tried waking him. Mainly because that other person was likely an enemy. It never ended well for the poor foolish victims.

He laughed at the memory of the first person to come across such fate. It was a very odd experience.

-Flashback-

Kisame was leaving a small bar stand and had turned towards the south. His destination being in that general area and began walking. His cloak blowing in the light breeze, the small bells along the brim of the straw hat with red ribons that were in-between each bell evenly spaced chiming with the pattern of the wind. He seemed like any other traveler that was just passing through.

His tall stature garnered a lot of attention as well as the massive bandaged sword on his back. However you couldn't exactly tell it was a sword due to it being covered so much. Other than that though, no one thought much of the wandering man. It was when he just exited the small village that his head snapped up a bit.

There was massive mushroom cloud as well as a torrent of flames that went into the sky. He ran as fast as possible into that direction when sounds of thunder and explosions echoed through the forest. Rumbling the ground as he ran. There was one last massive shockwave that nearly knocked him down and then everything was silent. There was nothing at all.

When he finally reached the source, his eyes widened to see a crater and the forest they were in reduced to an ash wasteland. "What the hell happened here?" Going into the center of the crater, he saw Naruto standing motionless. "Naruto?"

Turning to face Kisame he deactivated his Sharingan and sighed. "Just some rogue ninja leading a small band of bandits. Tried claiming the bounty in my sleep...they failed miserably."

"I can see that..." Kisame said with some sarcasm.

"We're leaving. Surely someone heard, yes?"

Kisame nodded as the two jumped out of the crater. Naruto went through twenty handsigns and slammed his hands together like a clap. Immediately the ground shook as two massive slabs of earth and stone rose out of the ground on two opposite sides and squished the ash clearing together between each other as if the slabs clapped. The two slabs then sunk into the ground and he went through handsigns once more before the ground leveled out with fresh dirt and rock.

"What the..."

"Now there's no evidence that we were here...just a new clearing in the forest."

"When did you learn earth style?"

Naruto looked at Kisame and turned to leave with said man following. "Not important."

-Flashback End-

Kisame shook his head at that and looked at the ceiling. "I still don't know when or how he learned the Water and Earth elements." Standing he went outside and looked out from the porch. The sun was now setting. "He always seems to pick great spots...something reminiscent from his past?"

Jumping up to the roof, he sat down and closed his eyes as he thought about some things. Naruto had brought to his attention Tobi's control over certain events. It made him question just how much was of his own free will? Had he been manipulated the entire time? It was something that he felt he'd never know. Then if things stayed as they were...he never would have had any choice in anything.

Naruto though was and always had been honest. That was something that also made him wonder a great many things. Why was the kid so transparent with him? From the beginning, Naruto never lied nor deceived him. On top of that, he never went to kill him before he could ever be threatened. Rather he worked with him and trusted him to be his back up. Granted, Naruto really didn't need back up, nor help so much, but he always accepted it.

He was an odd kid to the man. Then again, it made sense as to why Tobi wanted to recruit him. The kid was powerful and terrifyingly so. The thing was, there was no controling Naruto...he's been compliant right now, but they know they never have nor will ever truly control him. Everyone else would never dare defy Pain...let alone Tobi if they knew the truth. Yet Naruto...Naruto just didn't give a damn.

He had the power to be disobedient. To everyone, Naruto was second only to Pain, they'd say Tobi as well if they knew the truth. So no one would ever challenge Naruto nor say anything in regards to his disobedience otherwise they'd, simply put, get their asses kicked. It's why many were envious of the leeway Naruto had. His freedom, it's partly why Kisame enjoyed being Naruto's partner. They'd always carry out their missions, but at their leisure and it entertained him. Plus, they had a lot of wild nights...

Naruto never judged him, and he liked that. In some ways, he'd think the kid actually liked having him around despite his portrayal. Otherwise, why tell him of Tobi's manipulation? In any case, after Naruto showing his true extent of where his honesty would go, he would ensure to show and maintain this trust and bond. Despite how aggravating or depressing the kid could be. Naruto was an invaluable partner.

-Konoha-

Sasuki dropped to her knees, panting heavily as sweat dripped from her body. Standing again, she summoned lightning chakra into her hand and was blown back as her flow was disrupted and showed that she was finally out of chakra and could not form another Chidori.

"You need to take it easy, little sister."

"Shut up, Itachi. I need to get stronger! You heard Baki, he's beyond what any of us ever thought!" Closing his eyes with a nod Itachi stood as if nothing was going on. Like all the problems in the world no longer existed. "What? You aren't worried at all? Or do you just not care that any moment he could come and obliterate all of us?" Standing and clenching her fists tightly, she glared at him. "WELL? WHAT IS IT? HOW CAN YOU ALWAYS BE SO CALM AND PASSIVE AMIDST ALL THE CHAOS OF YOUR LIFE AND ACTIONS?"

Slowly opening his eyes, Itachi had his Sharingan activated. "Enough. You're foolish as ever, little sister. Being calm is the only way to take this on. You being frantic will lead to desperation and panic. That will get you killed."

Scoffing she turned her back to him. "Whatever. I can never understand you, how you do all this bad shit and don't even blink! How you can betray everyone and not even blink! HOW YOU CAN TURN YOUR BACK ON ME LIKE MY LOVE MEANT NOTHING!"

Itachi closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "You don't speak of only me..."

"I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE I LOVE CAN JUST LEAVE AND TURN AWAY LIKE ITS NOTHING!"

"Listen, nobody had just turned their back on you. I never wanted you to be hurt so much, I always faced everything hoping to keep you in the light. That's what kept me going."

"Then if he truly loved me...how could he just do all this?"

"What I told you about desperation is true to not only you, but him. It's what led to this. I knew of his plan and did not stop him. In some ways, even this...is my fault."

Sasuki turned back to him with a softened gaze and shook her head. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to make it seem that way. It's not your fault...I thought I was over this..."

Itachi walked to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "You still love him." she nodded slowly with a chuckle that held no humor.

"And yet I hate him so damn much. Every fiber in me boils with rage every time I think of him! Then I see an old picture, hell even this house...and I just miss him...I don't understand any of it. Back then I'd do anything to bring him back, to keep him with me. Now it seems like that person is dead, and this one is only ruining the Naruto we knew, this fake must die before he truly ruins Naruto's name."

He could only sigh with a very slight nod. "I'm not sure of what will happen, but right now we are on opposite sides. I knew of his goals, and I'm sure that in his own...now twisted way, he believes that he's still doing the right thing."

"How? He'd have to be a total moron to believe that he's in the right. That or he just simply doesn't care about anything."

-Amegakure-

"What are you doing here?"

"Oh? Is this how you should be speaking to me, Konan?"

"Enough, what are you here for, Madara?"

Looking at pain, the masked ninja chuckled. "Nothing much. I just came to see how you were holding up. Since we aren't utilizing the Biju in the plan anymore, you should be able to conserve your strength...which leads me to why I've come."

"The 'leader' of the Akatsuki needs to be seen in all his power. So, I've come up with a way to have you capable, it will just take some time before you really get accustomed to this."

"Accustomed to what?" Konan said stepping between the two.

"A more durable body of course! How else could he be mobile?"

"You know Nagato no longer has the ability to use all the abilities on his own. It's why he separated the paths to begin with."

"Yes, yes I'm aware. As I said, I have a way...let me know when you're ready to actually go through with this." He then began to swirl away into a vortex that came out of seemingly nowhere.

"Nagato, I really don't trust this Madara at all."

"He's never done anything to warrant our distrust Konan. From the beginning he's been a valuable ally from within the background."

"Well about his true identity? Surely, you can't believe that he truly is Madara Uchiha."

"It doesn't matter. He might be, he might not. Akatsuki never would have come this far without him. Never once has he done anything to bring your distrust. The only thing I don't agree with fully, is his want to have Naruto on board. That is who I don't trust. I admit that if he's on our side then this new plan will work, but that's the problem. I'm finding myself questioning who's side that Uchiha is truly on."

Konan gave a nod and released a tired sigh. "Naruto has also been valuable. Odd thing is, I'd trust him more than 'Madara'."

-Five Days Later-

Kisame woke up to see a hawk come flying towards the window. Opening it up, he let it fly in. There was a small scroll attached so he took it and it immediately flew off. When he read the scroll he gave a nod to himself and set it on the table. When he opened the door to Naruto's room, he noticed that the kid never got under the covers nor changed.

"He must have been more tired than usual...makes sense, after that weird thing, he continued using his chakra for another day." Stepping towards Naruto, he shook him from the shoulder. "Naruto, we have a mission."

Opening his eyes, Naruto glanced over towards Kisame with his black eyes. Immediately he activated his Sharingan and after a moment he gave a nod. "How long was I out?"

"Let you sleep five days."

Giving a nod. Naruto sat up and began to change. He held no shame nor worry, all in all he didn't care if Kisame saw him. The only thing that ever surprised Kisame was that despite all the battles Naruto went through, there was not a single scar.

"What's our mission?"

Kisame smiled wide showing all his teeth. "You might find some amusement. We need to get Intel from somebody."

"Why would that amuse me? That is simple."

"Maybe. It just tends to never go as we expect a lot."

Naruto gave a nod and put his cloak on. Naruto walked out and took a look at the scroll and sighed. The location was pretty close to Konoha. "I know they know of our presence here now...but is that really an excuse to do a mission this close to their main base of operations?"

"I told you this would be amusing."

Shaking his head, Naruto and Kisame stepped out of the cabin. Running through handsigns, he brought his hands together and watched as the cabin disappeared. Turning around they began walking towards the village of interest.

"What do you know about where we're going?"

Naruto glanced towards Kisame then ahead. "One of my anbu patrols was through this town. From what my crows have seen, not much activity from the anbu or any shinobi have been around lately. I don't know what they expect to learn from here."

Kisame could only nod as it made sense. Naruto already was reporting their lack of patrols in the area so there really wasn't anything to gain. Unless this was a set up...

Saying nothing as he expected his young partner to already be suspecting something, he just continued walking along side Naruto. It had become cloudy so the sun really wasn't on them so much, but, it did mean that there was moisture around for water techniques. Kisame smirked, no doubt Naruto was orchestrating this in preparation for a battle.

When they came into view of the small village, Naruto analyzed everything with his Sharingan. If they were approaching an ambush, he wanted to know where it would come from.

Kisame noticed Naruto's eyebrows being furrowed so he chuckled. "Finding it hard to believe there's no attack being prepared?"

"I just don't understand the purpose of this mission. There is no gain."

"Perhaps my young friend, but we should just go on."

"Right...let's go find our target."

The two blurred from sight as they stood at the entrance of the small village. As they walked in, they received some glances that turned into double takes as the villagers seemed to be gathering. The two stood still as they were surrounded by the villagers and remained impassive.

Naruto opened his eyes slowly and revealed his Sharingan which got them all to go down to one knee. "It's really him. It's Naruto-sama!" They seemed to say in unison.

Kisame raised an eyebrow. "A Genjutsu?"

Naruto shook his head. "No. I did not do this..." Looking around the villagers he sighed and stepped forward a step. "Why do you kneel before me?"

"It's because you're a hero." One said cheerfully.

Naruto raised an eyebrow and looked along all the kneeling villagers. "A hero? You do know I'm a traitor to the village right? And yet you think me a hero still?"

"Well of course Naruto-sama! It's because of you that we are safe, and most of us were originally in the land of Lightning. What you did to Kumo was much appreciated and they deserved it!" A woman said and Naruto was stunned. He was rather speechless.

"Look at that, you've got some supporters still, Naruto." Kisame said with a smirk.

Shaking his head, he still didn't understand what was going on per se. "So despite my status, what is your standing with Konoha?"

The same woman scowled and shook her head. "We've expressed our support of you so we've been shunned. I'm sure you've noticed this, they no longer patrol here." Naruto raised an eyebrow and the woman smiled. "We've seen your crows, Naruto-sama! Any threat that ever came our way, we just mention you and point to those crows that fly over, then any threat will flee as fast as possible! It's because of you that we remain safe!"

Naruto looked over at Kisame and couldn't believe this. Mere mentioning of his name garners their safety? The crows that he used to try to see about patrols, inadvertently kept them safe and hopeful? It was rather odd. "Damn, if everybody saw things that way, then the world would no longer fight." Kisame said with a chuckle. He was saying it as a joke but that had caught Naruto's attention.

"If everyone saw it that way...then everything would be over. The pointlessness in this life would be gone. To do that though, one would have to rewrite reality...but history is written by the victor, and history is what makes the foundation in this reality." Naruto thought as he closed his eyes. Interesting thought but he shook his head and reopened his eyes. No point dwelling on the stupid joke of Kisame.

"How long will you be in town?"

Naruto looked to the man that spoke and made a gesture for them all to stop kneeling. "Not long. Couple days at most. Can't risk Konoha or the alliance to know of our presence."

The man understood and smiled. "We will get you two a place to stay! Don't worry, everyone here can be trusted to keep your presence secret. Konoha lost our trust when they decided to shun us just for thinking you a hero."

Naruto said nothing but gave a nod. The man led the two of them to a small house that was unfurnished and left them be. "Kisame, did you happen to see the target?"

"No...but I do now."

Naruto raised an eyebrow and turned around to see a woman leaning against a wall. She was a foot shorter than Naruto and had brown hair with brown eyes. Wearing black leggings that really showed the curve of her hips and how it hugged her thighs. Her legs were crossed but it seemed enticing as it made you want more. She had a white tank top and brown jacket on top of that, the jacket went only below her breasts, unzipped so as to have more room because even in the tank top they seemed constricted. She had a smile of mischief and could bring men to their knees with the implications she seemed to give off.

"So, you're Naruto Uchiha." She bit her lower lip at the corner and looked him up and down. Most of his body not visible because of the large cloak but she could see his handsome face.

"We've come to-"

"How about a deal?"

Raising an eyebrow, Naruto glanced at Kisame who was just staring at her figure. "What kind of deal?"

"Oooh, I promise a most enticing one...Naruto."

"Get on with it. Don't test my patience, you'll soon see that it isn't of my best virtues."

She brought her hand up and waved her finger side to side. "Now now, I'm sure once this is said and done, we'll both be very, very happy." She smiled and turned to walk in the hall, as she walked, she swayed her hips and Kisame stared directly at her ass while Naruto was getting annoyed. Turning over her shoulder, she giggled at Kisame and smiled at Naruto. "Well come on sweetie, me and you have much to discuss...yes?"

She entered a room and Kisame exhaled the breath he held and wiped his forehead. "Go on Naruto. Got a mission to complete."

"And what of you?"

"Given how she's acting, be careful. I don't know Pain's angle on this. Even so, I'll see what I can dig up around the village."

Naruto gave a nod and sighed. "Very well. You know how to reach me if you need help."

"Same goes for you...granted a massive explosion is an easy signal anyways." Kisame then left the house and Naruto was alone with their target.

"Great..." Walking through the hall, he entered the room she was in and saw her waiting, laying on her side on the bed. "Now, speak of your little deal here."

"You really are stubborn in your want to get straight to the point. Why can't you ease up and relax a little?"

Naruto walked towards her to stand beside the bed and glared into her eyes. She was surprised that he had not once gazed to any other part of her body. The entire time he'd kept eye contact. It baffled her because even Kisame couldn't stop gawking at her looks. "You're really beginning to get on my nerves. I recommend that you get on with this."

"Ok ok. I don't want you mad at me, then we won't enjoy this together." She sat up and brought her face close to his and could feel his breath as she knew that he no doubt felt hers. She shrugged her jacket off and smiled at him. "Now just relax for me. Can you do that?"

She began to bring her hands up towards the collar of his cloak when he grabbed her by the wrists. Tight enough so that she couldn't move but not enough to cause pain. "The hell are you trying to do, Shizu?"

"Please relax for me. I will bring you nothing but pleasure...that is if you can last more than a minute, no man ever has gone that far. If you can then the night of pleasure lasts until you are satisfied and can go no more. If you cannot be satisfied then you can kill me, if you don't last more than a minute...which I'm expecting because a virgin like you stands no chance...then you will leave immediately."

A harsh, mocking chuckle that turned into a laugh escaped Naruto. He tilt his head at Jiraya and shook his head. "Oh that's funny. You think your little group here, can do anything?" He stood up and immediately a sword was in his gut, courtesy of an anbu. "Seriously...pitiful." Naruto then dispersed into black feathers with a caw from all around them sounding off.

"What the?" the anbu said but was immediately grabbed and thrown to the floor. He looked up to see Sasuki having brought him back as Naruto nearly beheaded him. "Thanks."

She gave a nod and took out her sword. "I will handle this!"

"As rash as ever, I see..." Naruto stood impassive as she glared into his being. Something that surprised her was the lack of Kyubi chakra being present. Like it was locked away, and no longer active. However she didn't dwell so much on it as a kunai was flung at her, barely having any time to tilt her head, it made a light cut on her cheek.

She reset only to see a flash of black and red and immediately was kicked in the lower back with a resounding crack. She flung forward and dropped to the ground, and felt his heel slam into her shoulder blade on her right arm making her lose grip of her chokoto. Pain shot through her body and he lowered himself, kneeling beside her, he put his hand on her lower back, where her spine ended and chuckled.

"I can leave you utterly paralyzed, Sasuki. You're so weak it's ridiculous. What happened to 'I'm going to kill you, Naruto' hmm? Surely you trained right?" To emphasize his point, he applied pressure which gained a shout of pain and another chuckle to leave him.

She focused with her eyes clenched and Naruto noticed something change as a layer of chakra, not visible to anyone but him because of the Sharingan appear around her. "Senjutsu..." he hopped up over her attempt to kick and spin. Standing quickly she charged again and he stood still.

A smirk on his face as he got hit, only to disperse once again. "You've grown, Sasuki...in more ways than one...good seeing you again, however, you're still too weak." his voice and presence left the area as the clouds receded.

"What happened?" an anbu said.

"That's really the power of the one time leader of the war three years ago?"

"Sasuki, what did you learn?"

Turning to Jiraiya, she frowned and trembled slightly with anger. "Baki wasn't wrong about him, he's truly...far more powerful. A single Clone did this..."

"Hmm, wasn't the crow one that time...what do you think the chakra ratio would be?"

"No idea...but that's not good. His base powered Clone was able to out speed me when in Sage Mode."

Jiraiya nodded and sighed. "That is definitely a problem. But we can't be too surprised, he's the only one to ever have true perfect Sage Mode, yours is near perfect, better than mine but his-"

"I know! He's always in a league of his own! We're always powerless in comparison, never able to keep up or even be in any way level!"

"That doesn't make him invincible. Everybody has a weakness."

Jiraiya looked at Yugao and closed his eyes. "Yes...but his weakness was about to get their back broken by him, himself...I do not think that he holds those same attachments anymore. The gloves are truly off."

They all blurred away and once they were gone, Naruto shimmered into view from behind where they all were previously. Showing that he could have killed all of them that entire time while they'd focused on his Clone. Stepping to where Sasuki had just been, he noticed the blood in the grass from that cut and shook his head. "Naru-kun."

Looking up, he noticed her standing in front of him. He glared and became guarded. "The hell are you doing here?"

"I love you. Is it so wrong to want to spend time with the man I love?"

"You don't, now leave!"

"Who are you talking to?" Naruto turned to see Kisame standing to his right. Looking back to where he was previously looking, there was no trace of anyone being there.

Grabbing his head, he just sighed and shook his head. "Nothing. We're leaving. Regardless of if she's ready or not."

"I'm fine now, Naruto-sama. If I may, where are we headed?" Shizu said, stepping from behind Kisame.

It still amused Kisame, her change in demeanor to Naruto. Then again, anyone who spent the night with the guy, were ruined. "Stirring up the hornet's nest." Stopping his movement, he turned around and sighed. "Kisame." he received a nod and said man blurred away, he came back and his sword was covered in blood that he shook off. "They are easier to deal with when scared, angry, and reactive. We are setting things up to our benefit."

"I know you led them three years ago during the war...but surely they've changed in that time. At least to prepare for you."

He smirked at Shizu, "You'd be right, if it wasn't for the fact that most cling to sentimentality as a lifeline. They're weak, and use morals as a means of strength, however that all matters not, not when your opponent is far superior and dead set in what they believe in. It matters even less so, when you're my opponent."

"So you'll kill them all?"

Naruto looked to the sky and shook his head. "Wouldn't come to that. Besides, if we did, there'd be no one for the Akatsuki to 'rule' and that makes it pointless. Shinobi, villages...everyone believes with every fiber in their being that they're right, that they're the good against the bad. Never does anybody take into account that the ones they deem bad, believe themselves to be the good. It's very common to be so one-sided in your mindset that it makes everything so very pointless. A lot of how your life turns out isn't a matter of clan, but where you are born to. Whether it be a simple farmer, or Shinobi of some nation. Konoha believes they're the good in the world that they're beliefs are true. But what of what everyone else thinks? Our leader talks nonstop of such things, granted he has the most anger to Konoha so that is expected."

He simply turned around and began leading them through the forest again. She looked to Kisame, who only shook his head. "Honestly I'm surprised he even talked that much...it isn't often. Must be because he rather answer in some way that will get you to think so as to leave him alone.

Yooooo, so this story is back...haha seriously though, it won't be updated really fast as once before. In fact, not even my other story will, I'm about to start a second job and it will be that way for a little while. Once I'm back to only one job, I write more. Some transparency though, the reason I had stopped writing this story so long was because I stopped liking it. recently I had came across some inspiration for it and I now have a true ending for this story. it's still a ways to go but this story will end up coming to an end as I've promised. it's just taken longer to get to this. Another chapter will be released for my "Fox And The Tiger" soon, but then I'll have started my second job and my writing will slow down further from what it is currently. The reason why Fox and Tiger has taken so long was because I was writing a chapter to a different story but hit a roadblock because only thing on my mind was Fox and Tiger shit. So i decided to write the Fox and Tiger chapter which will be out by the end of the week.

So, the sex scene bs...I need practice yo, so yeah...it's why it's there so that it can be better for future stories and future stuff...idk...it's weird to me still haha
