Okay, so I've decided to change a few things around in the Skyrim lore to better suit the story, one of those things is the dragons like Alduin, Odahviing, and Paarthurnax. Instead of them just being dragons with a pair of legs and wings, they'll be dragons with four legs and wings due to being of higher standing amongst the dragons, plus Alduin being the firstborn daughter of Akatosh and Mara.

Other dragons are lesser and are the same as all dragons in Skyrim. I prefer four legged dragons as that is the appropriate look for them, with Smaug being the exception though he was originally described as having four legs in the Hobbit book.

Answers to reviews:

BurgerMann: Yeah, but they either stop at like 2 chapters or have only just one chapter up. But there are good ones out there, I agree.

Devon Head: I see...

Guest: Thanks.

dragon rose 11: I don't know Fallout that well.

wwcanada1996: Thanks. And it's my first Skyrim story.

Ginopippofreebooter: Well, I wouldn't say it like that. You make it sound like I've grown impatient with people just ditching their Skyrim stories or something, but I see where you're coming from.

The next morning, after waking up from a very good night's sleep, Rahgol left the Bannered Mare and started making his way to Dragonsreach to see what the Jarl wanted him to do. He really didn't want to do this as he didn't exact;y enjoy being around other people, especially humans, but he owed Hadvar and his uncle a favour after saving Hadvar from the Dragon at Helgen. Despite his reluctance to be around humans, he would do this.

Entering Dragonsreach, Rahgol walked up the steps and over to the jarl who sat on his chair. "Ah, Rahgol, good morning."

Rahgol grunted. "So what is this task you require for me to do?"

Balgruuf nodded. "My court wizard, Farengar, he's been looking into a matter related to these Dragons and... rumors of Dragons." Following Balgruuf, Rahgol was led to a room where a man in robes stood leaning over a table, reading a book but upon their entry he looked up. "Farengar, I've found someone who can tend to your problem."

Balgruuf left as Farengar looked at Rahgol who had a slight look of impatience and annoyance in his eyes. "So you are the one Jarl Balgruuf saw fit to assign this task to, what I need you to do is fetch an item for me" he said to Rahgol in a slightly condescending manner.

Rahgol narrowed his eyes. "I don't fetch like a dog, Wizard."

Farengar gave him a glare. "Impatient one, aren't you? When I say fetch, I actually mean delve into a dangerous ruin in search of an ancient stone tablet that may or may not actually be there."

"And what is so important about some stone that relates to the Dragons?" Rahgol asked, now thinking this was a waste of his time. "Ah, no mere brute mercenary, but a thinker - perhaps even a scholar? You see, when the stories of Dragons began to circulate, many dismissed them as mere fantasies, rumors. Impossibilities. One sure mark of a fool is to dismiss anything that falls outside his experience as being impossible. But I began to search for information about Dragons - where had they gone all those years ago? And where were they coming from?"

Rahgol rolled his eyes. "Where do I go ti fond this stone tablet?" he asked wanting to get this over with and leave before he decided to hurt this Wizard for giving him a headache.

"An eager one." Farengar said with slight amusement. The stone is located in Bleak Falls Barrow, but t's not just any stone. It's a Dragonstone. It could be critical in determining where the Dragons went all those years ago and how they're making a come-back now."

Knowing where Bleak Falls Barrow was, Rahgol just nodded and left to get this quest underway. Besides, he also had a Golden Claw to find up there which was his next task after coming to Whiterun so at least he can kill two birds with one stone.

About an hour later, he was ascending the mountain which the Barrow was built into when he came across a ruined tower with a few bandits who thought it'd be a good idea to attack him; the first bandit swung at him with an Iron Sword but Rahgol ducked under it, grabbed her wrist and broke it before he grabbed the sword and used it to stab the second bandit in his unarmoured chest while the first bandit fell on the floor in pain, right by a cliff's edge with a steep drop. Rahgol noticed this so he kicked the bandit in her stomach, causing her to roll off the side of the cliff and fall to her death, he then decided to check out the tower but was attacked as he ascended the stairs to the first floor by another bandit wearing Banded Iron Armour and carrying an Iron Shield and Sword, Rahgol quickly grabbed his sword arm and held it away from him while his other hand grabbed the exposed neck of the bandit and lifted him off of the floor while also applying enough pressure to force the bandit to drop his shield and attempt to force Rahgol to release him, which just annoyed Rahgol.

So he just threw him off the cliff's edge and watched the body fall down to the ground before turning and heading on. He encountered more bandits on the outside of Bleak Falls Barrow and dispatching them in a similar manner before he entered the Barrow, there he heard a rather interesting conversation.

"So we're just supposed to sit here while Arvel runs off with that golden claw?" said one bandit to his comrades.

"That Dark Elf wants to go ahead, let him. Better than us risking our necks" replied a second, female this time.

"What if Arvel doesn't come back? I want my share from that claw!" responded the first.

"Just shut it and keep an eye out for trouble" chimed in a third.

Hiding in the shadows, Rahgol grabbed his bow, placed an arrow on the bowstring and pulled before releasing, the arrow striking the female bandit, causing the other two to gasp in surprise but another arrow came flying and struck one of the bandits in the head, then a third came and struck the third bandit right in the heart, killing him instantly.

After looting the bodies and the chest that was here, Rahgol continued onward into the ruin, finding a few bits and bobs here and there with the most notable find being a Fireball scroll, which he was about to discard until he heard someone calling for help. Curious, he followed the voice until he came upon a room covered in spider webs, much to his displeasure.

"Bloody spiders." Rahgol growled before seeing a Dark Elf trussed up in webbing 'Hm, that must be the Arvel that those idiots were talking about earlier' he thought before noticing a BIG Frostbite Spider, which the Dark Elf was begging him to get rid of and free him.

Rahgol used the Fireball Scroll, clenching his fist and pouring Magicka into it, causing the scroll to activate and encase his fist with a fireball which he shot at the Spider, causing an explosion of fire and driving the Spider back a bit, resulting in the thorax of the Spider crashing into the Elf's web prison.

The spider got back up and lunged at Rahgol who ran, quickly ducking under the spider but brought his sword along it's belly as he went underneath, causing it to split in half and it's blood to get everywhere but thankfully not on Rahgol. Spider blood was a bitch to clean off.

Turning to the Dark Elf, Rahgol approached.

"Good, good, you've killed it. Now cut me down from here" said the Elf in an arrogant tone which annoyed Rahgol even more than the giant Spider had.

"Is that how you talk to those that save your sorry ass?" Rahgol asked, giving the Elf an intimidating glare. "I assume you are Arvel?"

"Yes I'm Arvel, now cut me down or you'll never get the claw and the power the Nords have hidden here." replied the now named Arvel, trying to tempt Rahgol with the promise of power and wealth, trying to manipulate Rahgol's greed, which didn't impress Rahgol at all.

"I didn't come here for claws or power, so what are you talking about?" growled Rahgol, holding one of his swords up to Arvel's neck threateningly "Explain quickly or this web will be decorated with your blood."

"OKAY, OKAY! The claw opens the door to the main chamber where treasures of massive value are held, I know how they fit together so release me and I'll show you."

'He's obviously lying and no doubt intends to take off after I release him, but I can use him to draw the Draugr's attention and to find any traps.' thought Rahgol before slicing the webbing apart, cutting Arvel free and allowing him to run off calling Rahgol a fool, Rahgol halfheartedly aimed a stab at him but missed as the Dark Elf ran away taunting him, which only amused Rahgol.

Rahgol followed him through the crypt, watching as he narrowly avoided death by a Draugr's axe and a spiked door before he fell over and turned around to see Rahgol stalking up to him, swords drawn and held ready.

"You… you used me to get through the crypt…" realised Arvel, eyes widening in terror as Rahgol approached, a bloodthirsty smile on his face, showing sharp canines. Arvel also though he saw Rahgol's pupils narrow to vertical slits but dismissed it as a hallucination due to his fear, he desperately swung at Rahgol with his Iron Sword but left himself wide open, which allowed Rahgol to dodge the swing and slice his sword arm off. Arvel cried out and recoiled away from Gral, hoping for something to save him from the angry Nord "You… you're a… monster…"

"Been called worst and I don't like to be double crossed." Rahgol said before he decapitated the Dark Elf, sending his head flying. Looting the corpse, Rahgol found a few gold coins and a Golden Dragon Claw. Humming in interest, Rahgol looked it over and saw three symbols on it. A Bear, a Moth, and a Owl. Placing it within his pocket, Rahgol continued on.

He wandered through the rest of the Barrow, killing Draugr and nearly being sliced to ribbons by a trap until he reached a door with three carvings of animals on it, all stacked on top of each other, and a stone circle with three indentations on it.

Taking the claw out, Rahgol looked the symbols over before arranging the ones on the door in the order as the claw then placed the claw within the three indentations which caused the door to unlock and slide down into the ground, revealing the entrance to a larger room. Upon entering this room, a light blue glow and a barely audible chanting caught Rahgol's attention as he headed over to a wall which had a number of scratches which he recognised as writing.

'Dovahzul? What's it doing here? Could this be a Dragon worshipper's tomb?' he wondered as everything faded to black except the one word which was highlighted in blue and the chanting became almost deafening before the glow died down and the world returned to normal.

"Strange, I already know the word Fus, so why..." Rahgol's musing was cut off when he heard a loud CLUNK from behind him, he turned to see a Draugr emerge from a coffin which he immediately identified as a Draugr Overlord "Oh, give me a fucking break!"

The Dragur took a deep breath and shouting "FUS RO DAH!"

This created a dome of blue energy from the Draugr's mouth which expanded as it shot towards Rahgol and knocked him flying backwards into the wall with the Dovahzul carvings behind him, causing it to crack. Fortunately for Rahgol, his armour absorbed most of the impact so Rahgol only experienced minor bruising, but the attack had really irritated him; drawing his swords he rose and fixed the Overlord with a death glare which caused the Draugr to laugh at him.

"Daar qoth fent kos hin graad!" The Dragur taunted as Rahgol stood,

"For that, I'm gonna rip your head off." Rangol growled as he unsheathed his swords before he charged, hacking and slicing away at the Draugr like a whirlwind until the Draugr swung at him with an Ancient Nordic Greatsword, which he blocked but the momentum of the attack sent him skidding back, the Draugr wobbled and used its sword to balance by sticking it in the ground.

"Hi fen biis fah tol meyzvolaaniik!" it said, looking at Rahgol with murderous glowing eyes which made him smirk and cross his swords in front of him.

"Oh, just shut up and fight...Hi malur do draaf. " Rahgol shot back with a smirk, which angered the Dragur, resulting in it charging at him, Ancient Nordic Greatsword held aloft and leaving it wide open, which was what Rahgol wanted. Quickly, he crossed his swords and sliced the Draugr Overlord's legs off, a manoeuvre that was made easier by the decayed state of the Draugr, it fell face first and lost its sword which it attempted to find before Rahgol planted a foot on its back and placed his hands on each side of its head and pulled, the Draugr's head coming off shortly after and the eyes losing their glow to show it dying, permanently this time.

Sheathing his swords, Rahgol looted the coffin and found the Dragonstone, which brought a smirk to his lips. Looking at the Word Wall one more time, curious over the sensation he felt earlier, Rahgol left the tomb through a exit in the Dragur's tomb. Rahgol decided to go down to Riverwood first and return the claw.

Entering the Riverwood Trader, Rahgol walked up to Lucian and placed the claw down on the table as Lucian looked wide eyed at him. "y...You found it!" He beamed as he picked the claw up. "Thank you! thank you so much!"

"Wow, you really went into that ruin all by yourself?" Camillia asked as she looked him over, licking her lips at seeing the muscles in his arms.

"It was nothing." Rahgol waved it off as Lucian paid him in thanks for getting the claw back and Rahgol left, brushing off Camillia's subtle advances for sex. Beautiful as she was, he didn't have any interest in laying with a woman right now. Maybe it was his upbringing, preferring non-human females. He didn't know but...the thought of sleeping with human women left him annoyed and dissatisfied.

He shook his head and just continued on towards Whiterun. An hour or two later, he arrived at the city and went to Dragonsreach where he presented the Dragonstone to Farengar.

"Ah, this is most satisfactory. Now your job has ended and mine begins… here, take this for your trouble." said Farengar after Rahgol gave him the Dragonstone, handing over a purse of 100 Septims in return "You know, if you've got the aptitude, you should join the mages' college in Winterhold…"

"Maybe." Rahgol said with little interest for now as he left, passing a hooded woman in leather armour as he did, wondering what he was going to do next before he exited Dragonsreach and saw the roof of Jorrvaskr, he decided to try and join the Companions in order to improve his skills in combat.

Upon entering Jorrvaskr, he had to duck as a steel plate came spinning towards him and nearly took his head off, next a half full tankard of mead came which he caught and threw back in the general direction of where it came from, hitting a Dark Elf between the eyes, knocking him unconscious and causing the Nord he was in a fist fight with to laugh at his misfortune. Seeing the black haired man that was with Aela in killing the Giant, he approached him.

"Hey, Farkas, right?" Rahgol asked, having heard Aela speak to him on the way to Whiterun and mention his name.

"Yeah, Rahgol wasn't it? Here to join the Companions?" Farkas replied.

"Figured I should give it a try, improve my combat." Rahgol shrugged.

"Right, well you'll need to talk to Kodlak about joining."Farkas said before pointing to a set of stairs leading down to another door. "Head down those stairs and walk to the last room at the far back, you'll find Kodlak there. He can look into your eyes and tell you your worth, so it'll be him that decides whether you can join us or not."

"Okay, thanks Farkas" said Rahgol which earned him a nod from Farkas as he left and headed down the stairs and came into a corridor, looking around the corridor, he saw a black haired man talking to an old man who he assumed was Kodlak and arrived there just as their conversation ended.

"Enough Vilkas, we should not discuss these matters in front of guests." said the old man firmly as he noticed Rahgol approaching "Hello there friend, my name is Kodlak Whitemane, what can I do for you?"

"My name's Rahgol. I'm here to see about joining the Companions." Rahgol answered simply and to the point, gettinga displeased look from the one the old man was talking with. Rahgol noticed how similar he was to Farkas, a brother perhaps?

"Forgive me for my disrespect Harbinger, but are you just going to let him join, just like that? I've never even heard of this… Rahgol." interjected Vilkas, frowning at Rahgol who folded his arms and gave him a bored look back.

While it is true that our newest member is a complete mystery, remember that the Companions have always accepted members from a variety of sources, sometimes the famous come to us and sometimes people come to us for fame. What matters is not their reputation but the strength of their heart." answered Kodlak, addressing Vilkas' concerns and getting an unimpressed look in return.

"A strong sword arm also helps."

"You have a valid point Vilkas, take Rahgol upstairs and evaluate his combat performance."

"As you wish."

Vilkas and Rahgol walked out to the courtyard to test Rahgol's combat capabilities and stood opposing each other, Vilkas drew a Steel Greatsword and yelled a battle cry, charging at Rahgol and swinging at him, Rahgol ducked under the swing and propelled himself into Vilkas, tackling him onto the floor. Rahgol quickly got up before Vilkas could recover and stood, placing one foot on the blade of the greatsword and one foot on Vilkas' chest while drawing one of his swords, pointing it at Vilkas' chin.

"Yield." he said and as Vilkas did so, he got up and picked up his blade, returning it to its sheathe on his back.

"You're mightier than you look and smarter too, not many would think to defeat me like that, I'd say you're competent enough to join us. Now, as your first task as a Companion, you can take my sword to Eorland Gray-mane. You'll find him working the Skyforge there." Vilkas said, handing a sword to Rahgol of a make that Rahgol did not recognise and then pointed to a hill next to the courtyard which Rahgol headed to and met with Eorland, the aged smith took the sword and gave him a shield and asked him to take it to Aela the Huntress, who was located in the living quarters of Jorrvaskr. Upon walking into her room, he encountered her talking to another Companion named Skjor.

"Here, Eorland told me to give you your shield." Rahgol grunted as he handed the shield to her.

"Ah, finally finished fixing it has he? Wait, you look familiar…" she said, frowning in thought until she remembered "Ah! You were the one from the farm! I did wonder if you'd join."

"you know this one?" Skjor asked, arms crossed. "I saw him training in the courtyard with Vilkas."

Aela smirked at Rahgol. "Yes, i heard you gave him quite a thrashing. I do wonder if you'd win a real fight with him."

Rahgol frowned a little. "He underestimated me and I caught him off guard, two factors that I used to defeat him. He won't make the same mistake again if he's smart. Now was there anything else or can I go now?"

"You've got spirit… I like you" said Aela, giving Rahgol a smirk. "Maybe I'll fight or hunt with you myself one day, but for now Farkas will show you to your room."

As if summoned by Aela mentioning his name, Farkas walked in and after exchanging a few words with Aela and Skjor, he motioned for Rahgol to follow him.

"So, good to see you've joined us." Farkas said with a smirk at Rahgol. "I hoped we'd get someone like you. You seem like the type to be a great Companion."

"Thanks." Rahgol grunted. "Been on my own for a while now, it feels...good to have some people to talk with, despite the fact i don't have that great of a history with Nords."

Farkas looked at him with a confused frown but didn't push. Everyone had their secrets, especially when it comes to their pasts before they were a Companion. Aela, Skjor didn't talk about theirs, nobody did. After showing Rahgol the quarters, Farkas told him to just pick a bed and get some sleep and that they'll be work for him the next day.

Skuldafn

The black Dragoness that had attacked Helgen sat on a pillar, deep in thought. She had midnight black scales, eyes that were a dark shade of crimson, a powerful set of wings and sharp claws arming each digit on her four feet, a slender, lean, and obvious feminine body that had gotten the gazes of male Dragons in the past but none had ever been strong or capable enough to impress her.

This was Alduin, the firstborn daughter of Akatosh and Mara.

Her mind went back to when she razed that small town...to the one who insulted her and his smell. He smelled like a Dragon, it got her curious and annoyed. Perhaps he was the follower of one of the last surviving Dragons' cults? Alduin didn't know, and she liked to know something that interested her.

A roar caught her attention and she looked up to see her most trusted ally and friend, Odahviing, land beside her. Odahviing was a dragon with red scales and four legs like Alduin herself. "Thuri, you seem...troubled. May I ask why?" Odhaviing asked.

Alduin turned her gaze back to the horizon. "I am not troubled, Dii fahdon. I saw someone of...interest when I razed that little town to the ground. A young mortal man that smelled like one of us. It was clear to me he had been around a Dovah."

Odahviing's eyes narrowed in thought and he hummed. "There are not that many Dov left in Skyrim, Thuri, except-"

"Paarthurnax." Alduin growled in anger at saying her brother's name, his betrayal coming back to mind. "I should've known. But still.." She licked her lips with a dark grin. "That little mortal's blood was...tasty."

"Shall I look for him and kill him, thuri?" Odahviing asked.

Alduin shook her head. "No. Let him live...for now. He has my interest for now, and those that have my interest... I like to know more about." Odahviing nodded and with a bow he took off, leaving the Dragoness to her thoughts. She flew off to her private cafe that had been made for her and her alone...unless she took a mate which won't happen anytime soon since the other dragons weren't strong enough to display themselves as potential mates.

Besides, she had better things to do than looking for a mate, even though she always wanted to feel the joy of having someone to love and raise hatchlings with, a dream she had when she was a young Dragon, but that was when she was younger, this is now. Now, she desired to once again rule all of Skyrim with the Dragons at the top of the world.

Her thoughts turned to the young man she saw at Helgen, the one who insulted her. She chuckled as she laid down, curled up and laid her head down, closing her eyes to sleep. 'Brave of him to dare insult me. I look forward to the next time we meet, little Joore...'

Uh oh, Alduin has an interest in Rahgol, but it's not for romantic reasons, it's because he smells like a Dragon, and if you can make the connections, you'd find out Rahgol was raised by one, and he was mentioned in this chapter. So, it should help with more insight into Rahgol's past. Alduin's interest is to see what he can bring to the table...before she decides to kill him.

So some of the Main storyline has been done, but the Dragon attack on the tower hasn't. I want Rahgol to take a break from that part of the story and do something else, so joining the Companions is a good idea.

And no, he won't become a werewolf, just putting that out there. Dragon blood is enough for him.

Question, after Rahgol kills his first Dragon, should he force the Dragonbone armour set, sword, bow, arrows, and weapons to use for the rest of the story?

Dragon tongue translations:

Fus Ro Dah: Force Balance Push. The Unrelenting Force Shout.

Daar qoth fent kos hin graad: This tomb shall be your grave!

Hi fen biis fah tol meyzvolaaniik: You shall pay for that trespasser.

Hi malur do draaf: You piece of shit.

Thuri: Overlord

Dii fahdon: My friend.

Dovah: Dragons.

Also, that thing with Camillia was a tease, I was considering a sex scene with her and Rahgol but decided not to. Due to his Dragon side not liking the thought of mating with anything that isn't a Dragon.
