A/N: I haven't written anything new for this pairing in ages, anything I have posted has been sitting on my hard-drive collecting metaphorical dust...
It's just pure Sam/Jack fluff...this fic is kinda a girft for my BF whose only just started watching...I thinks he's a little under half way through the series...

She was humming.
Jack turned slightly in the elevator, his hands fisted into the pockets of his bdu's, rocking slightly on the balls of his feet, his eyes trained on her porcelain face.
He cocked his head to the side like a curious puppy, a smile creeping onto his face as he recognised the tune, Heart and Soul, which strangely enough was one of her favourite songs, and slowly becoming one of his.
He watched her silently as she turned her head slightly so she could look at him out of the corner of her eye.
The blue depths sparkled.
His attention was soon drawn to her lips as they curved slightly into a secret smile that was only meant for him.
The elevator stopped, the doors opening to allow an airman to step inside, Sam snapped to attention, her eyes glued to the metal wall in front of her, whereas Jack continued to rock back and forth on his feet, his hands still in his pockets, his eyes still focused solely on her.
She was still humming, the only difference now was that the airman, who stood in front of the pair was now humming along, probably unaware that he was doing it.
The elevator stopped again, and the airman stepped out, his humming vibrating down the halls of the SGC, and Jack knew that it would no doubt spread like some kind of alien disease, until the whole base was droning out the bars of the old classic.
He sang out the lyrics in his head as Sam continued to hum...
Heart and soul, I fell in love with you,
Heart and soul, the way a fool would do,

Because you held me tight,
And stole a kiss in the night...
He pulled a hand out from his pocket and reached over and took one of hers, entwining their fingers, a grin plastered on his face as he watched her look down at her shoes, a blush spreading on her cheeks, a small smile resting upon her lips.
They stepped out of the elevator as it came to a stop on the floor of the personnel parking lot, and walked slowly to their car, their joined hands clasped tightly together, he was definitely going to give her more reasons to hum when they got home.
But knowing at that moment the he was her inspiration was more than enough, because he owned both her heart and her soul.
Forever, for always...
